Setup scan to folder on HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw

hello,
I am trying to set up my printer to scan to a nework folder.
HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw
OSX 10.9.4
WLAN (both printer and desktop on same network)
Here's the problem; no matter what I try, I cannot get the printer to scan directly to a network folder.
When testing the connection I either get the "invalid password or username" or the "cannot connect to network folder" error.
It seems the biggest issue is refering the printer to the right network folder.
I've shared the folder, but I cannot get a valid path name it seems.
The folder properties show: /Users/vdlely/Dropbox/max verhuur/Scans
Obviously this is not complete; I need to add the location of the machine, like: //iMac-van-AJ/Users/vdlely/Dropbox/max verhuur/Scans right?
No matter what kind of combination I try, nothing works. I've used computer name, IP, with and without login etc etc
What is the correct pathname in my case?
It would me MUCH easier if you'd added a simple browser to browse to the right location.
Please help me set it up right.
This question was solved.

Hi @Frederikcs ,
I'd like to help you with setting up the Scan to Network Folder.
Here is another post that might have clearer instructions for Yosemite that you may take a look at.
Re: Identifying the scan file for the Laserjet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw on a MacBookPro.
To get the IP address for the computer, go to the Apple, System Preferences, Sharing and then select File Sharing.
You will see the IP address on that window.
This is the information to enter into the Scan to Network folder from the printer's EWS, click the Scan tab, click Network Folder Setup, and then click New.
Network Path: \\computer's IP\folder name that you created.
Example: \\192.168.22.104\scan
Here is the document for setting up the Scan to Network folder. Scan From the Control Panel (Including Scan to Email, to a PDF, and to a Network Folder) for HP Lase...

  • HT1338 I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

    Hi,
I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.

Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date.  All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue.  If that doesn't work, let me know.

I adjusted the paper tray to the right size, canged the page size to my custom size. PLEASE HELP!

Welcome to the HP Forums dancer200013,
I see by your post that the custom size isn't printing correctly on the Mac or Windows computers.
I can help you with this issue today.
On the Windows computer, click on start, control panel, printers and faxes, right click the printer, left click properties, click preferences, the effects tab should be selected as actual size. Then select the Paper/Quality tab. Click on the custom button. Type in the size, type in a name you want to use, select save and OK. (if the name is too long the save button won't be active)
Close the preferences window and reopen it again.
Then on the paper/quality tab or Printing Shortcuts tab. Under paper size select the new paper size by the name you just created.
    Test the printer.
    Hope this helps.
    Have a nice day.

  • 200 colorMFP M276nw - restore of eMail adressbook doesn't work

    Hey,
even after the update of the new firmware it is impossible to restore the email adressbook.
If you go over the web interface and Scanner than you can select a file.
But nothing happens. The old adresses are still there, nothing has changed.
The backupfile was created the same way.
    Any idea?
    Thx
    Wolf
P.S.: Same problem with the fax adressbook!
Browser interface and client app have the same problem.

  • HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276n EcoSMART WOL

    Hi,
I have seen a number of discussion boards about disabling EcoSMART feature on the HP Laserjets, but as yet no one has posted a fix or instructions on how to do this. A number of replies have advised how to set the power off time to never, which we already have set.
I'll explain why I want to achieve this:
We have a remote user who sits in a brand new office setup with a HP LaserJet 200 colorMRP M276n printer less than a month ago.  This is configured with a static IP address to be used as a network printer and scanner through our dedicate print server.
The issue we have is that the printer takes itself offline every hour because this is the maximum time that the EcoSMART allows us to set. On several occasions the printer has failed to wake up on print and it consistantly fails to connect to the network when attempting to scan.
The major issue is with the scanning,  if he fails to print or scan for an hour and then goes to scan it gives a message that it "Cannot connect to SMTP server", at this time we are unable to ping the device or connect to it through the IP (Note, that he is scanning using the control panel on the printer, yet it still fails to come out of sleep mode in regards to network connectivity and yes we have the option to wake on Control Panel enabled) . Our current workaround is to send a test page to the printer, in the hope it brings the printer back online.
This is both an annoyance for our user to have to send a print to the printer in order to use the scanner and also a waste of paper.
Thanks in advance for any help

  • HP Laserjet Pro 200 ColorMFP m276nw stopped printing

I installed my HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP m276nw printer a couple of months ago and set it up for network printing. It has been working perfectly for everyone in my house until now. Everytime I try to print, nothing happens. Others in my household who are on the network can print. When I go to the Print Queue dialogue box, I get the message: "Printing--the printer is not responding." If I go into the Printers and Faxes application in System Preferences, it shows this printer as Idle. I have tried restarting my laptop (Macbook Air), turned the printer off and on, turned Wi-fi off and on, turned Bluetooth off and on, even tried connecting to the printer via cable. What else can I do?

From what you have described it sounds as though the print job are not leaving the print queue. I have included the document 'Can't Print? Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue'. Please select you version of Mac, and follow through the steps listed.
If you are still having issues after this, please provide me with the version of Mac OS X you are running. I have included the document 'Finding your OS X version and build information', if you need it.

  • HP Laserjet 200 Color M276nw finds no internet

    Hello,
My printer cannot connect to Internet.
It connects to the network wireless perfectly but no internet.
    How can I fix this?

    Hi @widew ,
I understand the printer connects to the wireless network but not the internet.
From what you described, it sounds like your printer is on the home network but you can't access the printer's
Embedded Web Server. Is this correct? If yes, please let me know what you are wanting to do. (setting up Static IP or Enabling Web Services)
What is the printer's IP address?

  • EPrint registration NOT WORKING in HP Laserjet 200 M276 PCL6

I bought this printer and its only to be able to print on the move, but the ePrint Web service or better enabling the same does not want to work.
The printer is the HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw PCL6, the serial number is CNF8G6S398, the computer support is an Asus EEE Notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.
Updated firmware to version 20140521 (20140718 version does NOT work) to see if it was a firmware problem, the problem remains the same, it does not work through the  EWS in my browser, either from the printer panel, this code you can not have.
The printer works regularly in the local network, here in this link all the configuration parameters (the firmware has been updated as mentioned in the link is the old one, but the rest of the configuration is the same).

  • Laserjet 4345 mfp won't scan to folder; web interface not showing all admin tabs

    Hi,
I have a laserjet 4345 mfp which, until a few days ago, was able to scan documents to a network folder. When I try now it gives me the error "the path cannot be found". Here's what I've tried so far:
    - Looked for a way to change the network folder settings or define a new folder. I couldn't find any so I printed the "how to scan to folder" page from the control panel. It tells me to define a new location by clicking the "Other" button on the control panel, but I can't find an Other button, on any screen.
    - Accessed the web interface, which only shows up  with the "Home" and "Networking" tabs - no "Digital Sending", "Settings", or  "Information" tabs, which should be there according to the manual.
    - Thinking it might be a permissions issue, I checked and found that the administrator password was not set. I set the admin password via the web interface, and now when I try to access it prompts for the password I defined, but still gives this incomplete interface. I am also able to access and change all the networking settings, so I don't think insufficient permissions are the issue.
    - Called HP support, they said the problem is permissions and I should cold reset the machine, which I am quite reluctant to do since not only all settings, but the entire address book as well, would need to be re-entered. This aside from the fact that I really don't think permissions are the issue, as decribed above.
    - Verified that I am able to send scans to different email addresses. SMTP gateway test goes through OK. LDAP does not, but this has not prevented scan to folder from working in the past.
I don't know how the scan-to folder was initially set up because I wasn't supporting this client at the time.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks in advance.

I have a problem with my scan to folder as well and I have to access the folder from a computer before it will work.  I'm not sure why that works, actually.  You might want to give that a try to see if it fixes the problem.  If it does, I imagine it is some sort of security problem with the folder you are trying to scan to.
    Thanks,
    Tiffany

  • On an M425dn, I am unable to setup scan to network folder on a home wireless network

On an M425dn MFP, I am unable to setup 'Scan to Network Folder' on a home wireless network. The network folder exists and has been set to share with full permissions for everyone. The OS is Windows 7. The printer IP address is 192.168.1.104. I have used this in a browser to access the setup tab called Scan. I have established a network folder and have attempted to test the setup folder multiple times. The tests end in one of two ways. The attempt spins endlessly which requires a cancel action or it ends with the following error: "Cannot connect to the network folder. Ensure the shared folder name is correct." The network folder does indeed exist.
The computer name is Delta. The shared folder name is Images on my A: drive.
So the network path entered is \\DELTA\Images. By the way, printing to this network printer is always a succesful operation. Any guidance to solving this dilemma will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Network Configuration for HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276nw

Can the HP LaserJet 200 M276nw can be configured to scan to a network folder without initial set-up from a PC? Without the need of initially connecting the device to a computer first.
We are running a virtual environtment and the printer will need to scan to a configured network folder and this should be done via the device. Of course folder permisisons will be completed prior. I believe I saw a manual where the Embeded web server had this configuration, but would to make sure prior to committing to the purchase. Thanks in advance.
