  • Where to find self service log

    Hi,
I have setup self service portal under Enterprise Infrastructure Cloud on EM12c. When a SSA user requests a server using a template, the request fails with "Execution Error" and no other detail on Self Service Portal Screen. Do any one one know how to troubleshoot this and where to find the detailed log file?
    Thank you.

By template, I presume you mean VM template.
Have you set up the Oracle VM Self-Service Pools and Zones as outlined in:

  • EIT: Setup in Self Service

    Hi
I have set up an Extra Person Info EIT and displaying it in Self Service. All the fields that are displayed are text fields. Is it possible that I can make some the fields as text boxes. or is there any way I can personalize the DFF to achieve that.

So if the customer wants to create Incidents in the portal and report in the "Affected Group", consider making dummy user Accounts in AD, and display them in a Query result. That way you can display the Department or Company Properties from AD in the list,
and If you wanted to you can use an email address on the AD account for Notification purposes.
If the customer is happy then don't mind this, just thinking out loud :-)

You might want to monitor icx_sessions table, but I can't remember how reliable it is in terms on reflecting responsibility changes. You might find some notes on metalink regarding user session management that could help you with what you are trying to achieve.

  • Not able to launch Self Service Application thru JDeveloper

We have been able to install and configure the JDeveloper and Self Service application, but not able to launch the application because of the error message below. We have followed the steps mentioned in the attached Quick Installation guide. We tried the solution available on the metalink for the error message" Unable to Load Template mappings...etc... ", but still not able to proceed.

  • How to configure sync rules involving a CSV file and portal self service

    Hello,
I need to configure some FIM sync rules for the following scenario:
User account details are entered from a HR CSV file and exported to AD  Users have the ability to modify their own AD attributes in the
FIM portal (there is not a requirement for them to view their  HR CSV data in the portal). The FIM portal modifications will be exported to AD as expected.
    My setup is as follows:
CSV file - name, last name, employee ID, address.
CSV MA - has direct attribute flows configured in the MA between the data source and MV Portal self service attributes –
users can edit mobile, display name and photo
I've also set the CSV MA as precedent for the attributes
FIM MA – attribute flows defined for MV to Data Source as usual (i.e. firstname to firstname, accountname to accountname, etc).
AD MA – no attribute flows defined as inbound and outbound sync rules have been configured in the portal using the Set\MPR\Triple.
I’m thinking of using the following run profiles:
CSV MA – full import and delta sync (imports HR data)
FIM MA –  export and delta import (imports portal changes)
FIM MA – delta sync (syncs any portal changes)
AD MA – export and delta import
If my understanding is correct this should sync HR data from CSV to AD, as well as user attribute self service updates from the portal to AD.
If I wanted to just do a HR CSV sync could I get away with just steps 1 & 4 ? (presumably not as my rules are in the FIM portal?)
If I wanted to do just a portal sync, could I get away steps 2-4?
Any advice on how to improve my setup is much appreciated - cheers
    IT Support/Everything

The truth is that your design should be done in the way that it doesn't matter which profiles in which order you will execute. At the end, if you will run all import, synch and export profiles on each data source you should get same result. This is beauty
    of synch engine here.
Your steps from 1-4 will synch data to your data sources and at the end will give you expected result. But not because of the order you are executing them but because of correct attribute flows. If flows from CSV file and from FIM portal might be done for
the same attributes you need to think also about attribute precedence.

  • Is there a way to access 11i from outside other than Self service?

Is there a way to access 11i from outside other than Self service?
I could connect any application from inside the firewall (basically router) and can not access screens from outside. Eventhough port forwarding 80 allows us upto initial screen, it does not go further.
    Any workaround/suggestions
    Jiltin

    Hi Jiltin,
If you can migrate your forms server into Forms Listener Servlet. This will allow you to use forms outside firewall provided atleast one port(assuming yours 80) is open.
Ref to the M.Link Note 201340.1 for how to setup forms listener servlet.

  • ISE 1.2 SMS Notification for Self Service Guests

Is there a way to have guest account credentials created through using the Self Service feature sent via SMS text?  I have read where this can be setup via the sponsor portal, but I have not seen much about self service option
Also, is there an SMS gateway that can be setup easily for testing this funcionailty?  Thanks.

ISE 1.2 does not support sending credentials to Self Service Guests via SMS message.
This feature, sending credentials to Self Service Guests via SMS message and email, will be in version 1.3.  This release is tentatively scheduled for the end of July 2014.

  • Self-service password reset - ADFS - AAD

    Hello,
We have a full AD FS setup with dirsync to enable our office 365 users to logon.
Is it possible with the new Azure AD Sync tool and the Azure AD premium licence for the end users to do a self service online password reset?
If so, is it ease to upgrade the current Dirsync version to the latest release and what could go wrong?
Can we have an azure AD premium trial account on our already free Azure AD (office 365)?

  • Provide self-service user with information about his/her VM? IP address at a minimum?

Just setup a private cloud using VMM 2012 Sp1 as well as app controller 2012 SP1 fresh installs on Server 2012.  Since it's a lab, app con is installed on VMM server.
I have the cloud and templates and service templates and self service working as well as an IP pool handing out IPs.  I was wondering if there was a relatively simple way to provide at least the IP address of the self-service provisioned VM to the self-service
user who requested it, preferably through the app con site somehow.
    There's 2 reasons behind this:
    1.  I'd like to avoid having them console in, get the IP, and then log out and RDP in.  I'd prefer they just RDP directly to the IP the first time and go about their day.
    2.  Our DNS is not MS and does not allow auto registering, so connecting via RDP through the app controller site doesn't work because the FQDN is not reachable after VM is provisioned.
Any way to get that info easily to the user?

    Hi C. Baum,
App Controller doesn't have the ability to provide the IP address of virtual machines.
My recommendation is to have the name of the virtual machine register in DNS -- its much easier for most people to deal with hostnames rather than IP addresses.
    Kind Regards,
    Richard

  • Unable to Navigate Organization in "Maintenance Super User" Responsibility (Eam Self Service Pages)

    Dear friends,
Iam learning Oracle EAM module, now i had a problem that i couldn't able to find EM1 Organziation in the LOV, though i have done Organziation access also, based on the Oracle support.
    Solution from Oracle Support
    ======================
Unable to Navigate in 'Maintenance Super User' Responsibility (EAM Self Service pages) (Doc ID 1053400.1)
If you have the Organizations LOV empty, then you need to go to (Navigation) -Inventory (responsibility) > Setup > Organizations > Organizations  Access. Here you need to define a new line for each organization you want to access from the EAM SS responsibility.
    Kindly respond on this issue.
    Thanks
    Shruthi

Try to compare the menu that you have created with Functional Administartor menu structure. It may help to debug your problem.

  • Self service pages not opening

    Dear All
We are upgrading form 11.0.3 to R12, and they have build lots customized workflow and self service pages. The menus and functions are there, but still it is not opening and it says page cant be opened.
But employee self service responsibilty is opening fine. Do we need to do any setups or we have anything to move like we move the custom form and reports.
    Kindly help me in this
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Nakshathra

So no Self Service page is opening? If that is the case, then I guess some configuration issue with URL or something similar.
Is Apache log completely empty or it has the page request calls logged?

  • Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) information in Self Service?

    Hello,
I was wondering if Self Service is setup out of the box for current employees to view and update their EEO information. The only area I have found it available is on external irecruitment when an applicant is registering with a new account.
Does anyone know if EEO information is available somewhere in Employee Self Service? I've looked, but could not find anything....
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
    ~K

I guess it could be part of personal information but if you didnt find it in people form then you wont see it in self service personal information page.
Although this information could be maintained in EIT?

  • Password Self-Service for AE 2.1

Does anyone know how to setup employee self services for password resets in Access Enforcer 2.1? I know how to navigate to that selection, but I am not sure what value to add in the required fields? Anyone have any ideas? I had a document from SAP and they no longer have it posted. Thanks in advance.

    James,
Simple thing I can tell you is, UPGRADE TO AE/CUP 5.3. You can do much more than AE2.1 and 5.2. You can even follow the AE 5.2 configraton guide for PSS.
