Setup time

Hi, During confirmation with co11n, if the yield qty is more than 1, observed that the setup time is proposed as the setup time req for 1 qty only. it is not multiplied by operation qty. please advise what need to be done to get the total set time required for total yield qty. please advise.

Dear ,
What is the Setup Formula are u assining to your work centre -CR02-Capacity Tab /Scheduling -Execution Tab .
I hope the standard one is  Set up Formula : SAP001 =SAP_01  , Here SAP_01 is a Time dimenstion with Min as Unit .There is no multiplication of Qty .You can chek the same in OP55 and then OP52
Now , if you want to consider the operation qty which will be multiplied  , then you should go ahead with (OP55/OP52)
SAP003 = SAP_03 * SAP_09 / SAP_08 / SAP_11    where SAP_03 --Lbr Hrs
                                                                                SAP_09 -Operation Qty
SAP_08 -Base Qty ,  SAP_11-Operation Split timin
Hope this is clear to u

  • I am trying to setup time limits in airport 5.6

I am trying to setup time limits for internet usage in airport 5.6—
but i don't get a timed access control "option. Tried on both imac and macbook pro.

What are you setting it up as.. join wireless network .. the very worst setup, it will disappear.. reboot the whole network in order modem. router TC.. clients and it will likely reappear.
Tell us what network setup you are using..
If you setup with cable to a computer completely isolated from the network with TC also isolated.. finish the setup of everything you want. .before update.. then plug it into the network. .then restart everything in correct order.. it will work most of the time.

  • When I create a Planned order using PDS, the Setup time is coming as 0.

We have been using PPMs for a long time, and now we are trying to migrate to PDS.
We are currently in SCM 7.0.
I successfully created the PDS in APO (using CIF from R/3). In the PDS (in APO), for a particular activity, I see the  activity type is "S", and the Activity Duratiion (Fixed) is 43,200 Seconds.
However, when I create a planned order using this PDS, the activity time is zero (End time = Start Time).
When we use the PPM the setup time comes correctly.
    Any help will be appreciated..

    Senthil,
    Thanks for your views.
I have checked all that you have suggested, and it is okay. The issue still persists.
One thing that I noticed was that it is working fine in the old SCM 5.0 environment - the setup time is coming correctly in the planned order.
However, we have this issue in the new SCM 7.0 environment. Is there something that is different in SCM 7.0 in terms order explosion ?

  • Routing setup Time based on material length

    Hi All,
I have a situation where i have to write an Object Dependency to change the setup time of an operation based on the length of the material selected by the customer.
For the first 5 inches, the Setup time should be 4Hrs, for each additional 5 inches the Setup time should be increased by 1Hr. there is no limit on the length they can select.
I have created a Reference Characteristics SETUP_TIME, and have a Characteristic called LENGTH. I could use some help with writing the dependency.
    Thanks for the help.
    Raj

    Hello Raj,
Please review the link . You can create a procedure as defined in this link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/92/58c3a1417011d189ec0000e81ddfac/frameset.htm
    Eg ,
    $SELF.SETUP_TIME = MDATA $SELF.SETUP_TIME + 30 IF COLOR = 'FL'
    OR $SELF.SETUP_TIME = $SELF.SETUP_TIME + 30 IF METALLICEFFECT = u2018Yesu2019
You should only usee MDATA if you reading the value from master data ,for a changed value you do not need to use MDATA.
You can also achieve this by usingVariant functions in a procedure. You can write a code to do a calculation based on the values you are sending. Assign this FM (OD) to the reference characteristic. You can find more information on this on the following link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/92/58c6eb417011d189ec0000e81ddfac/frameset.htm

  • How to measure the Data setup time

I want to do a SPI timing AC characteristics.
I use labview capture a frame of SPI data package from a oscilloscope and display in a waveform Graph.
Lead time, Data setup time, data hold time... should be measured.
So, what is the next  step should i do?
    Thanks

    Thank you, asastet.
I test the SPI module of a MCU. I have download a code to init the SPI and transfer a data package continuously.
The 4 channels of oscilloscope connected with SS, CLK, MOSI, MISO.
In labview, I capture a frame of SPI data package from oscilloscope and display in waveform graph control.
My project will automatically measure the data setup time and data hold time according CLK vs. MOSI.
    Thanks.

  • VC - Dependency for routing setup time

    Hi all,
During dependency editor programming, I had this difficulty with creating a procedure for summing up the setup time in the routing.
We have 3 components A,B,C as multiple selection in a characteristic with variable BOM quantities.
Based on the selection of these components, we have characteristics called QA,QB and QC to obtain the quantity of the respective components and pass it on to STPO-MENGE of the specific components.
We have another procedure which sums up the total of QA, QB and QC and multiplies this to the setup time in the routing for a particular operation.
The code for this dependency is:
    $SELF.SETUP_TIME = MDATA $SELF.SETUP_TIME * (QA + QB + QC).
The issue we have here is the code calculates the setup time only if all the 3 characteristics QA,QB and QC is filled.
We want the QA,QB and QC characteristics to be displayed only if that particular component is selected. Can anybody suggest how to code the procedure to output a sum even if one of the characteristics is not SPECIFIED.

    $SELF.SETUP_TIME = 0,
    $SELF.SETUP_TIME = $SELF.SETUP_TIME + QA
       IF QA SPECIFIED,
    $SELF.SETUP_TIME = $SELF.SETUP_TIME + QB
       IF QB SPECIFIED,
    $SELF.SETUP_TIME = $SELF.SETUP_TIME + QC
       IF QC SPECIFIED.

  • How to setup Time stamp for CO-PA.

    Hello Friends,
I have created CO-PA datasource in KEB0. Defaultly, the delta method has been selected as
'Generic delta'. But, I need time stamp for delta process.
Where can I setup time stamp for CO-PA data source?
    Thanks
    Sumanth

    Hi,
You need not maintain the timestamp for COPA separately.
A generic data source for which delta based on the timestamp is automatically created.
By default the delta for CO-PA is based on timestamp and you need not do it manually.
Once you do an init for this and see an entry in RSA7 for the COPA data source then you check the option delta status in front of the data source...just click on it and it will tell you upon which field the delta for data source is based...you will find that for CO-PA its by default always timestamp.
    Thanks

  • Setup time in means of transport ignored by TP/VS Optimizer

    Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement of having a break for vehicle resource after each trip to carry out certain routine activities. I have modeled setup time of 2:00 Hrs in means of transport  for this. However when I run the TP/VS optimizer, it plans two consecutive shipments without considering any setup time.
Any idea on how to achive this requirement?
    Regards
    Sandeep Patil

    Hi Sandeep.
In the transaportation lane, in the means of transport settings, there is one field u201CAddnl Retentn Per.u201D
Additional Stop Duration for a Transportation Lane (hhh:mm)
Did you think to use this ?
Additional Stop Duration for a Transportation Lane (hhh:mm)
The stop duration indicates the time that a means of transport is not in motion between two locations. It thus represents an addition to the duration of actual transportation. The duration of transportation represents the pure travelling time (working time, net transportation time), whereas the stop duration is defined as a gross time (that is, it relates to both the working time and the non-working time of the means of transport).

  • View Setup time in the DS planning board

Hello Everyone. I maintained setup time for a resource but it is not displaying in DS planning board. What could have I missed? Thanks.
    Michelle

    hello,
first check the operations of the order.
right click on the produce operation and navigate to Order Processing.
In the order tree open all nodes for operations.
Is the set up activity visible there?
If yes doble click on the activity.
does the set up activity have a duration?
If yes check the status of the set up activity.
go back to the planning board.
in the menue select extras-> Legend
a pop-up with the graphical objects is displayed.
Check the graphic objects for the activity status you read before.
did you change the customizing settings for the graphic object?
If yes check them again or reset them to the default SAP settings.
I had a similar problem with a set up activity when I wanted to change the color of the activity according to the set up group. I  changed the settings in the customizing Maintain Planning Board Profiles.
It is very difficult to maintain the decision table for graphical objects.
If you did this recheck the decision table.
Go back to the SAP default settings and check the planning board again.
Are the set up acitvities displayed now?
Then the porblem is with the decision table.
    rethink every step again.

  • Where are the labour and setup time cost maintained ?

    Dearest all,
Does anybody know which transaction screen that labour cost is maintained ? and setup time cost ?
    thank you,
    me

    Hi,
If you are talking about labour cost and setup time cost in c/w product costing, please refer to the following points:
    1. Create activity types for labour and setup.
    2. Plan the activity prices for cost centeres using KP26.
    3. Specify these activity types in the costing tab of work center using tcode CR01 or CR02 (If work center is already created).
    4. Specify consumption units of activity types in 'Routing' using tcode CA01.
    5. Specify the strategy sequence for activity type valuation in the valuation variant under a costing variant using tcode OKKN.
    6. Complete the cost component structure to ensure the required cost elements are mapped.
    7. While costing the product, system will pick up the unit prices from KP26 screen and the number of units from Routing to calculate the activity costs.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

  • NI8451 SPI data transfer speed and SCLK setup time adjustment

I'm using NI USB-8451 SPI bus to do communication. I can not reach the speed of communication 4MHz (NI USB-8451 module advertises speeds up to 12MHz). Actrually the data transfer speed is much slower than 4/8 Mb/s. The 16k*16bit data cost around 800ms while it should be 128ms if the data transfer achieves 4Mhz speed. In the manual there is a SPI timing clock figure like this:
In the 4Mhz communication case,  the t2 should be 0.25us. I wonder whether the low data transfer speed is due to t1,t3 and t4 since they occupy too much "dead time". If my guess is right, is there any method to reduce the t1,t3 or t4, espetially t3? I know that in the advanced API there is a way to add delay while I did not figure out how to reduce delay(t3).  If my guess is wrong, what is the exactly maximum data transfer speed NI8451 can support? (not the clock rate)
     Thanks for help.

Hi everyone. Im using the SPI communication with 8451 and Im having the same situation., since the serial flash memory I need to program is big enough, t3 (SCLK Setup time) and other "dead time" which I think is the time when buffer on the 8451 needs to be re-filled those are killing my expectation on the final results. I can't see a way to decrease t3 (~10uSec) and in the same way Im seeing something like buffering up to 100~110 bytes then, a ~1.5mSec delay appears on the signal waveforms. Did somebody have good results trying to avoid this?
    Thank you.

  • Operation split in setup time formula

Hi, while creation of Work centers, i have seen the formula for setup as setup * operation splits. what is meant by operation split? pls explain?

    Hi,
Operation split means no. of workcenters.
It is used in workcenter scheduling tab processing formula.  For example operation split is 2. Say a process required processing time 1hr in one machine scheduled from 9.00am to 10.00am . If operation split is 2, system scheduled from 9.00am to 9.30am due to 2 machines.
And it is used in capacity tab setup formula. For example operation split is 2. Say a process required setup time 10mins in one machine. If operation split is 2, system will calculate setup time is 20mints because 10mints x no.of workcenters (split).

  • Cannot setup Time Capsule

I have a Comcast gateway cable/router. I am unable to setup Time Capsule, after dozens of resets, hours with both Comcast and Apple support, and two visits from Comcast field techs. I took the TC into the nearest Apple store for service. The device was still under warranty. The "genius" confirmed a defective TC, so I got a new one. Brought it home, tried to set it up following the directions, and still no luck.
I am able to set up using an Airport Express but not TC. Is it possible that the replacement is also a lemon?
Fortunately, I have established a wifi network using the Comcast gateway. But it uses only the 2.4GHz channel, which dramatically reduces download speeds as compared to 5GHz channel.
I am certainly open to suggestions and advi

The TC should be in bridge mode.. plugged into the comcast router. Do the setup before you plug it in... if it fails, use ethernet directly to the TC and give us a few screen shots of the summary page.
I would also use 5.6 utility.. frankly I think you can get in a knot if you use 6.1 because it auto sets things it shouldn't.
How to load 5.6 into ML.
    1. Download 5.6 for Lion.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1482
Click to open the dmg but do not attempt to install the pkg.. it won't work anyway.
    2. Download and install unpkg.
    http://www.timdoug.com/unpkg/
Run unpkg on the desktop.. it is very simple.. drag the AirPortUtility56.pkg file over to unpkg.. and it will create a new directory of the same name on the desktop.. drill down.. applications utilities .. there lo and behold is Airport utility 5.6 .. drag it to your main utilities directory or just run it from current location.
You cannot uninstall 6.1 so don't try.. and you cannot or should not run them both at the same time.. so just ignore the toyland version.. the plastic hammer.. and start using 5.6.. a real tool.
For screen shots see this post.

    i can't setup tim e capsule 4th generation

Plug LAN port of TC into a computer by ethernet.. with no other connections and no wireless on the computer.
    Do a full factory reset.
    The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Open the airport utility and do a clean setup.
Tell us if this doesn't work.. what ethernet LED and main LED is doing on the TC.
