Setup Utility Unable to Locate Router

I've been having a few problems installing a WRT54GC Router. I have no problems up to step 6, where it's supposed to check the router's status. Then, it tells me that it can't locate the router, which is connected completely correctly. The led lights above the corresponding Number, Power, and Internet headings are lit up, and it all seems to be in order. I've had this router installed before, but recently I had to uninstall it. I called my internet provider (Comcast), but all the person could say after having me on hold for half an hour was that there was a conflict between the internet and the router. And then she hung up. I know this supposed conflict isn't insurmountable, seeing as how I've had the router connected on a past occasion with no problem and the same internet provider, but this time, I just can't figure out what can possibly be wrong, when all the signs I'm seeing point to it being in perfect working condition.

Do not run the setup disk to configure the router..You can configure the router manually..

After I run the Setup Wizard disc and hooked up the router as the disc instructs you to do I click on the "next" button after powering it on and I get a message that says "The Setup Wizard was unable to locate an Router on your network. Please make sure your Router is powered on and all cables are properly connected to your PC". It is hooked up correctly. The lights that are supposed to be on are on. The "wireless" and "internet" light are flashing very quickly though and not solid. Is this normal or not? Go to control panel>network connections>right-lick local area connection and click properties>highlight internet protocol tcp/ip and click properties. Make sure it's set to obtain an ip address automatically and obtain dns.

Windows 7 Ultimate isn't installing on my iMac. Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition

I have a 21.5" iMac (Late 2012) running OS X Mavericks. I'm trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate via Bootcamp but whenever i get to the setup part it goes wrong
These are the steps I followed
I selected all the options since I didn't have the drivers or an install disk
it copied the Windows 7 iso image, downloaded the support software, and saved the support software to the flash drive (8GB)
I selected a partition size - I gave windows roughly 100GB
and I let it install
Right now I'm at the part where it says " where do you want to install windows? I selected the bootcamp partition and formatted it. It now says
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information"

I had to read the apple instructions several times before they started to make sense. I burned my iso onto a DVD and had the required USB for support software. Are you trying to use the single USB method?

I found a solution that has worked on both iPhone 4's I have that have had the same issues, and also including not being able to download updates in the App store.
Go to Settings > WiFi and turn it OFF.
Next go to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it OFF
Next go back to Settings > WiFi and turn it ON, (wait a few seconds for it to sync with your network)
Finally go back to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it ON.
I had the same issues on both my wife's phone, and my own, and it fixed it immediately without changing any proxy settings or reboots, (which I did try on my phone and did not work, but did not try on my wife's phone)

I dont seem to have a printer setup utility how do i get one to add my new printer to?
did it go the way of my virex when i loaded leopard? cause im getting this error msg to list the new printer in the setup utility and my search provides no printer setup utility. is there a way to get this as a download?

loaded the driver from supplied disk for printer lexmark x5470
followed directions of error msg and looked for the printer setup utility ... could not find
called lexmark (2ce)
1st time said I needed to down load the driver from their web site, which I did ... no resolution
2nd time they said I needed aforementioned utility and for me to contact Mac

tried moving the downloaded patch from lexmark around to applications and then to the lexmark

Linksys WRE54G - setup utility won't recognize my expander

Make sure that the computer you're using is on the same network with your router or is connected to your router's wireless network. After checking that, try running the setup cd again. If it doesn't work, you can manually setup the expander. Cisco ASA 5505 VPN connection issue ("Unable to add route")

I'm trying to get IPSec VPN working onto a new Cisco ASA5505. Pretty standard configuration.
Setup:
* Cisco VPN client on Windows 7 (v5.0.07.0290 x64 on Laptop1 and v5.0.07.0440 x64 on Laptop2)
* PPPoE/NAT and internal DHCP on the ASA were configured with the Startup Wizard in ASDM
NATting is working fine - internal PCs get an IP address in the 192.168.2.0/24 range and can all access the Internet.
I wanted to be able to connect from anywhere to the ASA in order to reach one of the internal servers. Should be pretty basic.
First I tried with the built-in ASDM IPSec Wizard, instructions found here.
VPN clients can connect to the ASA, are connected (until they're manually disconnected), but cannot reach the internal network nor the Internet. Note VPN client can connect fine to a different VPN site (not administered by myself).
Client logs show following error messages:

I've already tried the suggestions from this link, although the problem is different there (as the user can still access the internet, even without split tunneling, which I cannot).

Unfortunately I'm getting the same "AddRoute failed to add a route with metric of 0: code 160" error message.
I'm very confused as this should be a pretty standard setup. I tried to follow the instructions on the Cisco site to the letter...
The only "differences" in my setup are an internal network of 192.168.2.0 (with ASA IP address 192.168.2.254) and PPPoE with DHCP instead of no PPPoE at all.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Yes, I have tried from a different laptop - same results. Using that laptop I can connect to a different IPSec site without issues.

Disk Utility unable to partition as FAT32

Hello,
I am trying to set up bootcamp on my Late 2013 13" MBP running Yosemite 10.10.1 (14B25). I went and purchased a 16GB flash drive and directly followed the instructions laid out here. I have a family copy (3 activation codes) of Windows 7 Home Premium. I used the 64bit. After formatting my USB to FAT32, and mounting the W7 ISO, I followed and completed all instructions listed above
Upon rebooting into windows, I selected my partition labeled "BOOTCAMP" and tried to continue. I was prompted with "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information." from the Windows installer. After coming across this thread, I removed anything plugged in (outside of the USB w/ W7 ISO) and tried again. No luck. Lastly, I tried moving the USB from the left to the right, no luck. I then tried to reformat the USB ISO as prompted by the Installer, and that didn't work. (I assume this would have wiped the drive - probably a dumb idea)
I restarted and booted into OSX. I assumed that my best bet would be to restart everything and try again. I removed the partition from my Microsoft HD, and went to erase my USB drive. Upon trying to reformat it as I had before, I realized there is no option for FAT32 in Disk Utility. I have attached an image of this. I am not sure what happened here. I have reformatted the drive by Erasing and Partitioning it multiple different times. Still not option for FAT32. I have been sure to have selected Master Boot Record.
I assume I now can't try again until I am able to reformat the USB into FAT32 so I can again mount my ISO and go from there.
Any guidance? What are my options here?

Selecting an Operating System During Startup
You can select which operating system to use during startup by holding down the Option key. This displays icons for all available startup disks, and lets you override the default setting for the startup disk in Startup Disk preferences (Mac OS X) or the Boot Camp control panel (Windows) without changing that setting.
To select an operating system during startup:
1 Restart your computer and hold down the Option key until disk icons appear onscreen.
2 Select the startup disk with the operating system you want to use, and then click the arrow beneath the icon.

Removing Windows from Your Computer
How you remove Windows from your computer depends on whether you installed Windows on a second disk partition or on a single-volume disk.
If you installed Windows on a second disk partition: Using Boot Camp Assistant as described below, remove Windows by deleting the Windows partition and restoring the disk to a single-partition Mac OS X volume.
If your computer has multiple disks and you installed Windows on a disk that has only one partition: Start up in Mac OS X and use Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder, to reformat it as a Mac OS X volume.
To delete Windows and the Windows partition:
1 Start up in Mac OS X.
2 Quit all open applications and log out any other users on your computer.
3 Open Boot Camp Assistant.
4 Select “Remove Windows 7,” and then click Continue.
5 Do one of the following:
Â If your computer has a single internal disk, click Restore.
Â If your computer has multiple internal disks, select the disk with Windows on it, and then select “Restore to a single Mac OS partition” and click Continue.
If yes, we now have to get you to get the MBP to boot and that is relatively easy, provided that you have followed all the right steps.

Since getting new modem from Comcast Xfinity, Mac mini (Airport Utility) has been unable to locate Airport Extreme and Airport Express. Can anyone help?

OK, you have a choice you cannot use the Extreme as an extender, you can use it as your primary router or use the Comcast device as your primary router. If you choose to use the Extreme as your primary router then you need to call Comcast and ask them how to turn off the router abillities on their device. If you want to use the Comcast's router then you need to remove the Extreme from the equation and use the Express as an extender.

WVC54GCA. Seutp utility can't locate camera on network

I just bought the camera today. Went through each step of the setup. When I connect the camera, blue light flashes and then becomes steady. But then I get a message that says "The setup utility was unabel to locate the wireless-g internet home monitoring camera on your network." I've gone through those instructions several times, told it to search again, but it never finds it. My router is a Linksys WRT54G. I'd appreciate any ideas anybody may have. Thanks

If it is not detected using the setup CD, then you can configure it manually. Access the setup page of the camera and configure it via the setup page. The wireless settings should be the same with the wireless settings of your router.

Print Center / Printer Setup Utility missing

My refurb iMac had its entire logic board replaced several weeks ago. Since then I have not been able to use my Epson Stylus Photo R280 printer. Turns out that somehow my utilities called Print Center and also Printer Setup Utility have disappeared from my computer. Because it is a holiday, I am unable to to contact Apple Care by phone. I tried to locate a place on my Leopard install disk where it lists zillions of single items which I could chose to install, but can not find it. I am hoping that someone in here can direct me where to look. My Brother HL 2140 is working fine. I'm stumped.

Got a reply from Epson. Even though I originally told them the printer was hooked up to a wireless Airport Extreme Base Station, they seemed to ignore that fact. But, finally they came up with this excuse:

The Epson Status Monitor requires constant bidirectional communication with the Host for it to function properly. The Airport Extreme only allows a one way communication, so when the Epson Status Monitor tries to update the Host with the proper ink levels you will receive a communication error.
So, I guess that you can't use the print utility from a wireless connection, I hooked the printer to one of my Macs and added the printer to the Utility there. The utility works there, but I have to reconnect the printer to the Airport Extreme and visa versa to make they whole thing functional. Oh, well.

I also tried creating portal resource for the skin by right clicking on the skin file, but i still get the same error.
If i create a skin file under anyother folder directly under the webcontent say /css/test-skin.css it works file.
Am i doing something wrong or missing any entries?Help is appreciated.

By default, trinidad-config picks up the skin setup through the preference bean - "#{preferenceBean.defaultTrinidadSkin}". The default skin can be setup through adf-config.xml at design time (look for <portal:preference id="oracle.webcenter.portalapp.skin") or using the Administration console at run-time. The value used here is whatever you've configured as "Skin Family" when creating the portal resource.
Of course, you can edit the trinidad-config to hard-code the skin as well using the same "Skin Family" from the Create Portal Resource dialog.

Add (+) printer in Sys Prefs Print & Fax makes Print Setup Utility crash!

Something is wrong with System Preferences Print & Fax pane, or something else... From there, I can't add any new printers. When you click + below the list, it's supposed to launch printer setup utility? But it does nothing what so ever.. or that's what I thought until I looked in Console to see what's going on (if anything), and the console reports that the printer setup utility crashed. It launches fine directly from Utilities. What gives?

Well I figured out how to run Printer Setup Repair to try that route. So far these results:

Bootcamp windows 7 setup was unable to create a new system partition

I've been trying to load Win 7 sp1 64 for a week. Tried 4 versions, all 64b, made a new USB drive each time, I always get stuck in the same place:
"setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate existing system partition". I've tried everything, read MANY forums.
I read format in set-up many times, but it matters not! HELP!

Restart your machine and do a pram reset (google)
Open disk utility and repair permissions twice, also you should only have 1 partition
Then try boot camp assistant again
If this doesn't work, you'll need to either clean install OSX or have a terminal disk wizard from here try and help
