Several different ADD-ONs in one system

Hello Collegues,
we have installed Add- on A in ECC 5.0 system and going to install the next one -lets say B. We are not sure that these two add- ons will work properly together...
- Can you tell pls how works add- ons inside of system?
- Is it change structure of some tables?
- How many add-ons in maximum can be in one system?
- Where i can find information about compatibility of N add-ons in one system?
At the moment i do not know how will work together Baseline and Automative? and do not know if in one possible to have for exp. HR CEE for two different countries?

- of course you can have several add-ons working on the same B1. To understand
the details on how add-ons are started and maintained by B1 desktop pls refer
to the e-learning available here on SDN
- compatibility of add-ons. There is no generic answer to this, it depends on the
functionality and implementation of the two add-ons. Anyway, if two add-ons are
functionally independent and they follow the solution guidelines, then they should
be interoperable. You can find the solution certification guidelines here on SDN
under the ICC section: these rules cover points like namespaces, event handling,
user table and form creation and so on that enforce interoperability.

I have several SEO add-ons that create google 'CAPTCHA' how do I prevent this?

RDS Bar
One of these (I've disabled RDS but still getting CAPTCHA so not this one) is creating thre CAPTCHA request for all computers using the internet on this IP address, how do I continue to use these Add-ons without the CAPTCHA happening?
Is there a way I can prevent this or use a different server to conduct the research? Plus how can I test the Add-ons to see which one it is, or which facet of each add-on thereby switiching it off and still use the rest of the functionality?

If you have a solution categorized as '(Standard) Custom Development' for your ERP system, please contact SAP Custom Development at least three months before implementing SAP enhancement package 5 for ERP 6.0, because sufficient time might be required in case of adjustments.

All componets are add-on installed in your system. If you want select according technical usages in mantienance optimazer for EHP5 see sap Note 1324838 - Enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0: Required SWC
In the attachments you found a table with Technical usages - add on.
When you select your technical usages then appear add-on that will be upgrade.

Why I can't switch on more than three add-ons in one time?

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Firefox crashes regularly with different add-ons

Firefox is crashing with almost any new add-on I install. At first I thought it was a problem with the add-ons, but because it happens so often I suspect it may be something else. I have deleted and changed profiles and I have completely re-installed but I still have the same problem. The most recent add-ons to cause problems have been Zotero and iGoogle Toolbar for Firefox.
I've included a crash report below, but I'm not sure if that report is relevant to this issue it may have been to do with something else.

I do have exactly the same problem. Firefox worked fine with all types of Addons. Since then, i upgraded my OS to Snow Leopard, reinstalled FireFox, and reinstalled the different addons. The weird thing is that it lets me install some addons and restard FireFox correctly, but some other addons just crash FireFox at restart.
Addons that gets installed correclty:
- Firebug
- Download StatusBar
- Siphon SyncAddons
Addons that crash firefox at restart:
- ColorZilla
- XMarks
My Flash player version is uptodate by the way. (Version d'Adobe Flash Player 10.1)
Any idea?

Is there a [plan to fix 4.0 so that all the previously useful add-ons and plugins will function? Delicious toolbar is disabled; Norton toolbar is disabled; several other add-ons that worked perfectly well in 3.6 do not now

the upgrade caused several tools that I use every session to be disabled as they were incompatible with 4.0
this was not an enhancement to me; rather it has caused me more aggravation than anything the old version did.

* Click on the “Open Containing Folder” button (within the box “Application Basics” on top of the page)
* Close Firefox

* Edit install.rdf and change the following from the first line to the second line

I'm asked to allow add-ons install after every reboot (all the add-ons list, one by one)

Every time I reboot, when I lauch Firefox, I get one tab for each "installed" extension, asking to "allow the install" of the extension.
Now that I'm thinking about it, the problem persists since firefox 5 or 6, but it is only now at 8 that it shows me a tab for each extension. Before the alerts were hidden in the extensions manager.
So, After I installed the extension, there is no reason to ask me again and again to "install it" or "allow it".
The "add-on compatibility reporter" I installed only a couple of days ago, so I can have Google toolbar back.
How can I get rid of this absurd problem?

Do not double-click the file, but use "Open with" in the right-click context menu to open the file in a text editor like Notepad.
You can copy the file to another folder or let Windows create a copy with a number appended to the name in the same folder.
