Several months ago, a friend mentioned something about a version of Firefox that is for multi-profile game play. I can't seem to find it here or in help searches. Appreciate your help.
My needs are fairly simple. Since I access the game via facebook, I just need the ability to have 4 facebook profiles open at the same time. Do you have an application or add on that makes this possible?
One method might be to use Prism [http://prism.mozillalabs.com/], which will open a new instance of Firefox each time the Prism program is invoked. However, these will be separate programs running (potentially with lots of memory usage), so you will not have tabs but will have to use switch between them using mouse or ALT + TAB.

I have just bought a new Macbook Air several month ago, and i realize that my iMac is very very slow compare with the macbookair, what should i do to faster my iMac,
This few point happen slow at my iMac:
When Restart it is very slow.
When search spotlight or search a file using finder.
When Running iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie. Especially iPhoto
When transfering image from my phone to iphoto.
When Open New Application.
When working in multi application when swich between application, sometimes it was hang for a few second.
Sometimes typing aslo slow and the text wont come out and the cursor hold a few second.
I think above 7 points was very annoying my working, especially when in a rush.

Thanks to all of you that willing to help me.1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At or near the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with "System Version." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Wrongly payroll run for one employee, who left company several month ago
Hi all,
There is one case.
One employee left company several months ago and his payroll data was also determined in the system. But the month payroll run included this guy not correctly. And also there are not any change found for his info type data with pc00_m16_uaud. But system shows the payroll administer, who run the payroll this month, changed his payroll master data in infotype 3.
Any suggestion about this case will be appreciated.

A Retro payroll runs if "Earl.pers. RA date" is changed in Infotype 3. This also changes if there is any master data change in any payroll related Infotype like 8, 14, 15 etc. Please check if any data has changed for the employee to cause Retro payroll run.

After updating my iPad recently, I can no longer use it to present PPTs using a TV monitor that always previously worked. The display mentions something about using AirPlay which I am not using or trying to. Suggestions please? Is there a way I can buy Ipad 1, even though Ipad 2 was released several months ago?
I would like to purchase Ipad but I would not like to buy a Ipad 2 because of it's price. Is there a way to still purchase an Ipad 1, even though the new one was released several months ago? Please help. I have been using itunes with my ipod nano for years. Several months ago I did a requested upgrade and have not been able to open itunes since. I get an error message that says that itunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126) I have tried to uninstall all Apple programs and reinstall itunes several times and it doesn't work. I keep getting the same message. I am looking for a solution to get my library back so I can but more songs for my ipod.

Several months ago, I kept getting prompted to 'update' my iphoto library. When I finally clicked on the 'update' button, it 'greyed out' ALL of my photos. Now ALL of my photos are grayed out and I can't see ANY of my pictures unless I click on each grayed out photo individually and open them, ALL of the thumbnails are greyed out. It is THE WORST!! I have no idea how to fix this problem and its been MONTHS AND MONTHS of *** pain. Anyone?? Please help!!!

How do I rent a move using moneyin my iTunes account. I had to enter the iTunes gift ard code to open the account several months ago, but never purchased anything with it. When I entered this code to rent a movie, the response was that it was redeemed. What am I doing wrong?
If you've already redeemed the card onto your account then its amount should be on your account - a card can only be redeemed once.
To rent a film, find the film in the store and (if the film studio has made it available as a rental in your country) click on its Rent button. If you are beig prompted to review your account and enter credit card details then see if this post from mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without entering card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054 . If that doesn't work then you should be able to remove your card's details after entering them.

When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance. -
It's like it booted to a state it was in several months ago. My CS 5 apps are not in the dock or applications folder. Has this ever happened before and what can I do?
The files on my desktop are not the ones that were there when I shut down. It's like it's gone back in time.
My display's power supply got fried (I think) in a power outage so I bought a new one. However, every time I restart the display usually stays black. I have found I need to keep rebooting until it kicks in and starts working. I unplug everything, wait a while (a few minutes to overnight) and try booting again.
This last time the display finally came on but I'm faced with this problem. I used to use time machine, but I deleted everything and disabled it a couple months ago or more so I'm at aloss as to why the mac is booting into the state it was in sevearl months ago.
What could I have done to cause this? Has this ever happened to anyone else and is there a solution?
Note: I did a search for a file I knew was created today. I found it and it showed that it was a file I had saved on the desktop this morning--even though that file's icon is not appearing on the desktop now.
I did a search for photoshop and saw my CS5 version listed.
However, I did a couple more searches and these files no longer appear in the search. I don't know if they're there or not. This is bizarre!
I'm on a Mac Pro, 10.6.2.Thanks for the obvious question. I mean it. The very same thought came to me this morning and, sure enough, I had booted into another drive--my old one that, of course, had the old desktop, etc.
It didn't dawn on me that this was the case since I hadn't set it as a boot drive but I guess in the course of all the restarts I did, it got switched.

I bought a new MacBook Pro several months ago. I keep losing my wireless connection (my wife, sitting several feet from me has no problem with her iPad2). I find the quickest fix ix to turn Airport off and back on. Very annoying. Suggestions please?
What kind of wireless router are you using? more importantly which protocol are you connecting with? Are you and wife connecting using the 2.4Ghz band? or do you have a dual band router that offers the 5GHZ band? Are you both connecting vie 802.11 a/b/g or n?
The best thing to do is to go into SYSTEM PREFERENCES and select NETWORK, then select AIRPORT and click on the ADVANCED button.
Under the AirPort tab you should delete all the preferred networks and only add back in your network with the proper security settings and passwords.
If you hold down the option key on your keyboard while clicking on the airport icon at the top on your macbook pro. you'll seesome data that will tell you what band and mode you're connecting at, as well as in an indication of signal strength (RSSI) if you write down and post back that information it'll tell us what's going on. -
The Develop module is saying "Develop module disabled. Please renew your membership to reactivate the Develop module". I bought the product at full price several months ago and have had no problems using it until, so I am not sure what it is asking of me. I only had it on one other computer before I added it to this second computer, and I understand we get 3 copies. There should not be any issues. I need an answer ASAP.. actually pretty shocked that there is no immediate customer service that I can contact for a problem like this.
If the develop module is disabled then you have downloaded and installed Lightroom from the creative cloud. It cannot be licensed with a serial number. It requires a creative cloud subscription, and is activated and kept active with your Adobe ID and password. That version will not work on your computer and will have to be uninstalled. Then you can install from one of these two links:
Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1
This will have no impact on your catalog or your images. After you install from the right website you will be able to continue where you left off. -

Make sure the discs are free of finger prints. The optical drive cannot read a disc with smudges and dust.
Check Finder > Preferences > General
Make sure: CDs, DVDs, and iPods, is selected.
