Several processes in SM50 show status as stopped and reason SLEEP

I have several batch jobs that are running and then sometime it shows up status "stopped" and Reason "SlEEP". There have been some slow DB writes but not sure what I can do about this.
Should I let them go and let them resolve themselves. Sometimes these jobs will cause performance issues.
Or do I delete cancel them to restart in the low usage periods.

Not sure about your KERNEL PATCH LEVEL.

Secondly as Dibya said...
Look a closer look at work proces trace file,
if you do not see any info desired....
increase the "TRACE LEVEL" of work process and chase for reason log in tracef file.
WORKPROCESS Trace info should give some clue / info to do a deep dive analyiss of your issue.
If you avail SAP Verion/ Kernel Version/ DB Version / OS Version ...
give more light to the signing in users to put their comments close to your issue.
We are sure, With Dibya reply itself, you would have got the reasons for the issue.

What is your system utlization during peakload to rate low usage periods.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Work processes in SM50 showing yellow

Dear all,
We are facing one issue in SM50 where some dialog work processes are turned to yellow status one after the other.
This yellow status means i believe trace level problem which is getting changed to 2 instead of 1(default value).
In order to revert back to1 in SM50, select the highlighted work process with yellow status then go to process---> trace ---> active components. Now new pop-up will occur with value as 2, select default values and then save which will remove yellow status against the highlighted work process.
Another way to get rid of this issue is with Application restart which we can't do every time / not recommended.
I have checked dev_disp & dev_wp<no> log files, but of no useful information in them and i have gone through various posts.
Now my query is why this trace level got changed to yellow with value of 2 instead of default value 1 and what will be the root cause behind this in order to avoid future issues.

Any scripts to show status of instance and oracle

Does anyone have scripts that they could share to show if SAP is up/down and Oracle up/down?
I realize grep awk etc etc...but if anyone has any complex queries to query multiple instance maybe via remsh?

One is option as you know ps -aef|grep ora,ps -aef|grep smon etc ...
second you can check tnsping service if not able to ping that means db not available.$ tnsping <sid/servicename>
third if you have mulitple instances then run below query
SQL> conn / as sysdba

We are using MSBuild to deploy a biztalk application that is on a clustered install.
The command we use is
MSBuild.exe /p:Configuration=Release Product.Deployment.btdfproj /target:AutomatedDeployStartAppHosts
We are getting the following error after several of the services are bounced.
Stopping and starting: FTP_A_Rcv_Clustered on machine

We need to be able to start up one of the custom applications that is part of the biztalk install.
Any thoughts or suggestions? We could start up our own services if we can get around that and still start the applicaiton.

Check the SAPJSF user on the ABAP Stack.
Make sure it has the SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO role assigned.
Then Hit rety.
This fixed this step for us.

Dear Friends,
How to stop the process chain showing status as yellow but no process step is running in that process chain.
We have manually triggered the process chain for sales it finished successfully till load data but the next step is create index and DB statistics. Both of this steps are in unscheduled position only and no background job for this.
Please guide me.

If for some reason u have the icon in your task bar (the one with 2 arrows pointing in a circle) just go into mobile me pref...click sync...and uncheck box show status in menu bar. My question is, I do not have this option. How do I get the sync to stop

Just installed Mac OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2010 platform. The App Store shows there is an upgrade, so I click the download button. After about 2 hrs the process stops and an Error (102) appears on the screen. Any idea what goes wrong? THX

If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering.

PO output message (Fax) showing status- incorrectly processed.

Hello,
I'm unable to send the PO output through fax.
Processing status shows- "2 incorrectly processed".
I checked the fax number and necessary configs and are correct. Moreover there are two messages triggered for same Po. one is processed while the other one is getting error.
Can anybody suggest what might be the issue?

Can you see from SOST how many attempts were made to send the fax? Sounds like the fax number was busy at the time, preventing the fax from being sent. If 2 faxes were created from the same PO, were they both going to the same number? If so, this may be the cause as both would be trying to dial the same number at the same time.
If you try and reprocess the message from SOST does it go through? If so, this is definitely an issue linked to the fax number being busy.
