Several questions...

Goodmorning everybody,
The past months i've been working on a cbt which should be
running
in a LMS SABA, using an java api to communicate. Most of the
time it works
great (thx eric!), but sometimes it crashes...
When quitting the module, internet hangs.A lot of people in
my company and
outside are investigating the problem, but it is still not
clear.
Some people say that it's the java-apllet which causes the
troubles, java
just
isn't stable enough (we use version 1.4.2).
More problematic for me, the provider of the LMS, SABA, is
pointing at
Authorware.
First they say authorware isn't a very good program for
creating
e-learning (!).
Second, aw uses the full 100% of the CPU during the course,
true, but a
problem ?
Third aw uses file properties (???) and that could be a
problem.
Last, debugging a problem with a module created in aw is very
difficult.
Any suggestions for answers on the above questions ?
I have uploaded the cbt in an external lms and everything
works great,
so my feeling is that it's saba (somehow) causing the
problem. Anybody
who knows about bugs in aw, or also have (bad) experiences
with lms saba ?
I have asked answers on this subject before, but i still hope
for more....

The problem only occurs when quitting?
I would put up some onscreen variables to see exactly where
the program
crashes. Is it during communication with the LMS?
How much data are you trying to store for the user? The Send
Data KO has
a problem with more than 1080 bytes. Maybe save that data
string to a
local text file and see how big that is... If you're saving
all variable
values, it could get large very quickly.
