Several teams working in parallel in ChaRM

Hi All,
We have a requirement where we want to gather inputs / assign the ChaRM request to multiple teams at a time in the same status of ChaRM (for example u2013 say my CHaRM ticket is pending for effort estimate and I want to gather the inputs from development, Functional and security ticket). One of the ways we can think of is create tasks with reference to the ChaRm Change requiest / change document.
Is there anyone who has come across this type of scenario where you need several teams to work in parallel at some particular status of ChaRM.
Please let me know if I am not able to clarify my situation. Thanks a lot.

There is no difference please be aware that each login is provided with two activations however. If you wish to have a computer at both work and home activated though that is perfectly fine as long as your employer is ok with using company software at home.

Yes, it supports target display mode. Windows can be run with either Parallels or Boot Camp.

Workflow : not able to find team working option in SWDD 4.7

In ECC 6, the username of latesh aditional changes done to a workflow can be find out by option team working. I am not able to find the same option in 4.7.
Is it not available in 4.7? can somebody help here.

As you mentioned you are on BO 4.0 Patch 11 it is very low patch.More possibilities these are bugs and SAP identified and fixed in later patches.
Better to upgrade on latest service pack and see.

Will Diablo 2 work in parallels even if I'm using an Intel GMA X3100?

I know that Diablo 2 won't work normally (without downloading extra software) in 10.5.5 with the Intel GMA X3100. Will Diablo work in parallels with these settings though? How about in boot camp? How about in 10.5.6? This is on my refurbished macbook.

I feel like banging down apple's doors since my family and i are longtime users and I just purchased a copy of DII and the expansion for my boyfriend since it works on my brand new macbook eco but not on his plain white macbook... what the **** apple... seriously fix the 256 graf problem please??? why didn't the 10.5.6 update work for him and why haven't they fixed it??? The game won't even open for him... it just quits... and apple employees can't even step up and answer a post... bad for Apple bad form...
Its almost enough to make one buy a pc next time.

Team working in JDeveloper 10g

All,
I wondered if any of you had any thoughts or suggestions on team working in JDeveloper?
I've just completed my first JDeveloper project and had the benefit of being the sole developer. We're now looking at doing some more projects with JDeveloper and could do with some pointers regarding how to set up the structure of an application so that multiple developers can work on it. We use Serena ChangeManager for version control, so any suggestions that are compatible with this would be especially welcome!

(p.s. I'd also prefer that you stick to the "current" production release of JDeveloper - there seems to be a tendency in here for people to recommend the latest, greatest version (i.e. 11g), in spite of it only being a technology preview. I wouldn't ride in a pre-production airliner, so why should I do real, production work in an unfinished IDE?)

I have a few to start the discussion going.
1). Use your version control system. Even if there is no JDev plugin, use it! (this is a no-brainer, of course).
2). Put the JDeveloper artifacts in version control too. By this, I mean the jpr and jws files.
3). Ensure everyone uses the same coding style preferences, otherwise you can get lots of "bouncing checkins" because one guy likes 3 spaces and some gal likes 4 for indents
4). Be aware of potential issues when checking in Business Components to source control. For example, if you check in the xml file associated with an AM, but not the java files, you're in for some fun!
5). Especially early in the development cycle, if you are using ADF Business Components, the Application Module can become a point of contention among developers. You may want to think about having one person control them - or if not - be sure you have good lines of team communication when they are being changed. It's not the easiest thing to do to deal with merging AM configuration files by hand.
These are some of the ones that jump to mind.

I am the only one who is working in EP Development . Now we are planning to take some people into the same field.

Using several Sun Java Versions parallel

I want to use several Sun Java Version parallel - is this possible and if yes how can I set this. I want to use for one program / or one website (like www.0815.com) the version 1.4.2_06 and for an other program / or website (like www.sample.com) the version 1.3.2_06 ?
The problem is that we are using a terminal server application (3rd party) what is running better with the 1.3.2_06 and we are using an web based software which must use the 1.4.2_06 - I only know how I set one of this as an standard but not using one for this and another for this.

I can't open .exe file on vista under bootcamp but it works on parallels.

Hi all,
I have an .iso file with a game. When I open the .iso file on Leopard it opens as a disk image and then there is a setup.exe which when double clicked opens with parallels (with installed Vista) and starts installation of the game.
I have moved the .iso file to the Vista partition and open it with the WinZip but when I click on the setup.exe file nothing happens
Can you please tell me why is that it works under parallels and doesn't work under bootcamp?

Executing several StateDiagram VIs in Parallel

Hello,
I have searched and read up on the topic until mye eyes go red.
I have the following scenario: I have several (5 to be exact) StateDiagram Processes that I need to execute in Parallel. Each StateDiagram is created using the StateDiagram Toolkit and reside in its own VI.
For the sake of structure and reuse, I do not want to break up this structure!
I have a cFP 2120 and I have the VI's executing in Parallel using High Priority for each VI. So what's the problem?
The problem is to ensure deterministic response times. I need about 5 ms response time; it's not a fast system.
Each VI is running its own loop that never ends. I have a 5 ms wait in the loop in each VI.
I cannot set Time Critical Priority to each of these loops, as the RTOS do not do any Round Robin among Time Critical Priority VIs even though they relinquish prosessing time by calling Wait. (see: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=62696&requireLogin=False)
If I set High Priority to each VI, the code seems to run fine, but I have not measured any Response Times yet.
The goal of the whole project is to write Control Systems in a more structured way, which I feel I have managed. But will the Priority system of the Phar Lap (RTOS)
Unfortunately I do not find any articles on how to structure code and at the same time achieve deterministic response times. And I mean deterministic within 5 msec!
Please , I am not prepared to throw all code into one Time Critical Priority loop, as this tears down the structure I have been working hard to develop.
What is the general way to do this?
Can I expect very long response times due to other High Priority System tasks run by the RTOS?

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your answer and the fact that you are doing what I am doing :-)
It is very late in Norway now, and I am tired. I am sitting here running a test that I wrote where I measure the "determinism" of the system using 6 parallel processes:
- Process 1 Pulse DO-0 high for 100 msec, then go low for 1500 msec: DO-0 is hooked up to DI-0 (High Prior)
- Process 2 reads DI-0 and writes its value to DO-1 in a loop that pauses for 5 msec. (High Prior)
- The 4 other processes do similar stuff with other channels, but are only there to pose more load on the system (High Prior)
- I also have a communication process that using Shared Variables communicate som status to the Host every 500 msec. (Normal Prior)
I measure the time delay from DO-0 Hight to DO-1 High. I subtract these two signals on my Digital Yokogawa DL 1620 scope and ask it to calculate max, min and stdv of the signal: So far it says 12.46 min and 12.55 max so the jitter is small.
I am currenty using "Wait until next MS" and set up the timings so that everything tries to rund at the same time. This gives more consistent timings it turns out.
I tried to use just Wait which would tend to scatter the run of each process out over the cycle time: This however effectively "locked out" communication process and also caused much more jitter: from 6.5 msec to 10 msec.
I will let the test run tonight and continue testing tomorrow. Will keep you updated.
Would also appreciate if an NI Engineer could comment on this !

Will this version of XP Home work for Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac?

For Christmas, I received Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac because I need Windows XP for certain reasons. First, I have several neat programs that only run on DOS and second, I miss MS Paint (I hate Seashore or Piantbrush) and Finally, I like MS Movie Maker better then iMovie. When I opened it, I got furious because found out that XP Home doesn't come with it, so I must purchase it online. I really need XP Home with SP2, and not XP Pro. I looked in the manuel and it says I cannot use OEM copies, but I looked at another discussion that said OEM copies were OK. Now I'm very confused, so I decided to make this post hoping that I can get a good final answer. Here is another problem, I only have $100 to spend because I'm saving up for a bigger gift that has nothing to do with computers. I want to know which copy will work.

You have an intel based mac. that is one particular Original Equiptment Manufacturer. Now, what parallels does is build a vitual machine inside your mac to make it OEM compatible inside the mac Operating System to make Windows XP Home to work within the mac environment. Once it is fully installed, you can use mac and windows XP home together at the same time. You can also install XP home in mac boot and use it separate from mac as well to do your work separate of being on mac ss well. carefully read the instructions and the key part again is putting in P.T, for it to work properly.
