I'm facing a big problem when installation SUN HBA card,the machine can't recognise the HBA card when poweron with HBA installed,
my system is:
Server: SUN V890, Solaris 10
HBA: SG-XPCI2FC-QF4
I changed another HBA card and I/O solt,the problem again,

I don't know; I don't work with Solaris much personally. I've certainly had issues with Solaris 9 on SPARC, but that's a totally different beast.
I'd suggest you try mounting it with a big (2.5TB+) LUN. IF it doesn't work, try slicing the LUN in 2 and rebooting the host, and looking again. If it works, then there's your answer.
If you don't have live data on there, it's really not hard to re-merge the 2 LUNs into 1... so testing this isn't all that much time or effort.

VArious problems with intel graphic card

There is an old regarding part of this subject with no improvement. I have a 943/940GML graphic card. Normally the frame rate should synchronize with vfresh but it does not seems to works well: glxgears is not smooth at all unless you move the mouse on the windows. Running it with
<option name="vblank_mode" value="0" />
fix the problem.
Apart from that I get better performance with the lts 2.6.32 kernel than with 3.0. This is noticeable (I have less CPU time when I let googleearth rotate the earth).
I had several problems with this driver. I have:
Option "DebugWait" "on" in xorg.conf (otherwise fonts are broken)
options i915 powersave=0 in modprobe.conf (otherwise the screen blink every minute or so)
the problem with dri mentioned.
Moreover each time I upgrade my system, there is one chance out of two that a new regression will appear. What is it with this driver? Why can't the devs secure a stable version? I know I should report bugs upstream but I am tired now. This is a permanent alpha driver.

Several Problems with the GeForce3 Ti200

I am having several problems with my GeForce3 Ti200 card. First, anytime I click on the MSI Clock or MSI Information tabs in the Display Properties Window, it gives me the following error message:
"Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Once I close that message, the tabs disappear until I reopen the Display Properties window again. I have updated the drivers to the most recent version and still the same problem.
Next....When the additional nVidia drivers load...ie NVidea WDM A/V Crossbar...etc... All load fine except the one titled nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal). Once again, I have downloaded the most recent drivers and none would help. Here is my system information:
798 Mhz AMD Athlon
512 MG memory
Windows XP Version 2002 SP1
Creative SP Live
NEC Multisunc 95
TDK CDRW Generic DVD
Hard Drive WD 60Gig
Any help would be great!!

I have finally succeeded in making my video capture work.
However, not without a few more headaches. My "Double Image - Half Height" capture was my own stupidity.... I had the captures set for 30 fps -- setting them to 29.97 fixed that.
BUT I found this out when I had the latest nVidia display drivers (53.03) paired with the latest nVidia WDM drivers (2.20). The glorious full-height, single-frame screen capture had a bright white strip across the video approximately 1/3 of the total height.
You have to understand that I've been Googling this problem for several days... The one thing I think I've found out is that _Nobody_, including MSI, nVidia (especially nVidia!), or anywhere else, has really solved the problems people are having with these WDM drivers.
So here are the reasons I found out there for a White Bar across the picture:
(1) Improper installation of drivers - this supposedly causes a problem with 720 X 480 captures only. I had the bar on 640 X 480 captures as well.
(2) nVidia has gotten into bed with Bill Gate$(Micro$oft), Jack Valenti(Hollywood) and others to "protect digital rights". Newer versions of the WDM drivers (since which version? Does anyone know?) PUT the white bar across the video on purpose if the video you are capturing is copyrighted. The thing is, I was capturing an 8mm home video!
So, you decide, reason 1 or reason 2... I decided to try for #2.
I uninstalled WDM 2.20, ran the DriverCleaner2, and installed WDM 1.08 drivers. Guess what? No white bar. Now I can capture with Wincoder, VirtualDub, or Director's Cut 6.5. This is with nVidia Display Drivers 53.03 and WDM drivers 1.08 installed. I'm now thinking of the folks at nVidia the same way I think of Bill G and Jack V; they are all a bunch of rich, greedy scumbags. It is OK with them if they sacrifice your home videos in the name of their wealth.

i already read a bit through the forums in hope to find a solution for my problems... but i didnt find any and english isnt my mother tongue so sometimes i didnt really understand...
to my problems:
i got my 2nd X-Fi titanium a few days ago (first one stoped working after 6 month usage)... i kinda hoped my previous problems would have been gone with the old card, but unfortenately they are still there...
first: the card does recognize when i plug in my headset into my front pannel and the the sound gets redirected to them... good so far... but when i pull off my headset and i want the sound to go back to my speakers... nothing happens... the card doesnt realize, that the headset is pulled off... i always have to open the software and turn off the "mute speaker automaticl" (no idea how its called in english..., hope you understand)...
the 2nd problem - and this is the worst one - is that from time to time the soundcard makes weird noise... like a scratching or crackling... its really horrible and the only way to get rid of that is sign off the computer and sign on again... this problem occurs without a warning... when i play a game (like WoW or FFXI online), or while im listening to music, sometimes even when i just work with office...
i already sent a mail to CL and of course the regular answer: deinstall drivers/software, install the newest ones... i did that but nothing changed...
is there any way to fix these problems? im a bit frustrated, since i spent a lot of money to get a decent/well quality...

One more thing to check is that the correct drivers are installed. If you check in the device manager, make sure the Creative drivers are installed and not the Microsoft ones.
Also check in your BIOS that the front panel audio is set to HDAudio.
Make sure the on board audio is disabled as well.

I see that you've un-installed/re-installed the drivers... I hate to say, but...try again and make sure you have completely uninstalled the drivers before rebooting and reinstalling the latest 2.7.0007 drivers. Try a free uninstaller software called Revo uninstaller. It runs the softwares uninstaller then it searches the registry and HD for remnants.

I am using sun java system connector deployment to create installation script for my clients.
in the tool I have specify the location of Microsoft LDAP services, I am using outlook 2003 and sun say this option is not needed for outlook 2003, if I try to create the script and run the script on target client I will receive below error,

This is likely to depend on the version of the OC you have. The released one isn't supposed to work with Outlook 2003. Please contact Tech Support for the latest version and help.

Outlook connector requires that you have UWC (a.k.a communication express) installed and configured, which has it's own requirements. UWC provides the single web-interface to mail & calendar & address-book. Outlook uses the address-book functionality via UWC, IMAP and SMTP for messaging/email, plus WCAP for calendar.

I'm getting this error when I try to activate my new iPhone 4 through iTunes:

Now I've already been to AT&T and nothing they could do with the account settings would work, in fact they had never seen the issue before. They gave me a new SIM card and that did nothing as well. Finally they tried out a different SIM tray, and that still didn't work. I have a Genius Bar appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Do you think that the SIM reader inside the iPhone 4 is broken?

I solved a problem I had with activating my iPhone although the error message was different from yours.
I got the message "There is something wrong with your iPhone and it cannot be activated, please bring it to your nearest Apple service".
Via a Chinese forum I found out its the SIM card witch is the problem. If the serial number of the SIM has a "letter" in it it won't work. If only numbers it will work.
I now tried it with 2 SIM cards with letters and got the message over and over again. Than tried with my only numbers SIM card and it activated instantly.

Severe problem with 'Drill to Related' using drill icon

I have a severe problem with 'Drill to Related' in Discoverer Plus (10.1.2.54.25) using the drill icon of a worksheet:
1. Though existing no items to drill to are shown in the context menu (or pop-up list), instead it says just 'Drill to Related...'
2. Clicking on menue item 'Drill to Related...' results in 50% processor load (permanent) and no further update of the browser window (IE 7.0.5730.11) containig Discoverer Plus. There is no recovery of that state within about 20 minutes.
This behaviour is both highly reproducible and annoying.
When using the drill dialog instead of the icon the expected items are shown and 'Drill to Related' works fine. Although that is a workaround I don't think it acceptable to tell the end-users to use it.
I searched metalink for a hint but couldn't find anything.
Can anyone help?

We still had to apply the patch for the bug I mentioned earlier in this thread in order to be able to see and select an item to drill to. Unfortunately the problem with the processor load up to 50% and nothing happening is still there.
By the way IE 7 is certified now according to the Oracle certification information.

But as people subscribe to these forums you may find that your card gets emptied.

Several Problems with Visual Editor 1.1

I have installed the latest version of visual editor and also the emf and gef version required,the problem comes when i try to create a new Vsual class after i choose the property of the class such as name and so on and clicked finish My visual editor is empty.....the palette for visual component doesn't appear.
The visual editor creates a little window and duplicates it evrey time i click in the visualEditor page......please help me...i don't know what i have to do.... i tried the impossible but visual editr still doesn't work!

ITunes needs to fix the problem with there gift cards not being activated this is not up to the retailer and they will not return scratched coded cards! There is thousands of people having this problem please fix it

This is not the retailers fault and they will not return iTunes cards that have had the code area scratched there for apple needs to credit and or activated the cards there is thousands of people having this problem please bite the bullet and fix it already I will not be using iTunes until this is corrected...

Anyone experiencing severe problems with Aperture3 after loading Lion?

I am experiencing severe problems with my Aperture 3 programme since installing Lion OSX, in fact it is almost unusable after about 15 minutes operation. My computer is only used for photography and is otherwise unburden. I would appreciate any help at allplease.
