SFTP connects fine at times and not at others

I have a user who has remote login enabled on her iMac and she connects to this computer via her Macbook Pro over SFTP using Fetch (FTP client). She has a static IP address and is able to connect fine at times but is refused connection at other times (mainly at night for some reason). Her energy saver settings are set so that it should wake for network access and it was as I tested it. I've looked through the logs and the only thing I can find that might be somewhat related are:
:in pamsmauthenticate(): Failed to determine Kerberos principal name.
:error: PAM: authentication error for....
Does anybody have any ideas as to what I could be missing here? It's just odd that the problem is intermittent and more problematic later at night.

So what?
Unless you're using the latest Apple AirPort base station with sleep proxy support, 'wake for network access' doesn't do what you think.
This option does not mean 'wake for any arbitrary network access that might come along', it means 'wait for a very specific network Wake-on-LAN packet designed to wake a machine over a LAN'.
In other words, turning on this option doesn't magically make the machine wake when someone tries to access a service that should be running on the machine.
I'd check to see whether the machine was sleeping at the time of these inaccessible periods.

Yes, the Export PDF subscription is what I am having trouble with.
For example, when I open and Export a file as attached to remove our vendors information and substitute our company info to provide export documentation for
our lumber shipments I am not able to edit the document.
I bought the subscription for this exact purpose to save having to recreate these documents on my own time. This is very time consuming as it must be done by hand
in Excel.
I was able to edit a similar document yesterday but today, no dice ???

because everyone is doing the same thing you are... be patient, and you will get the update... I had to grab the update over 3G (it won't let you download or install, but it got me in the door) and then switch back to wifi and download and install.

How do I run an Apple Script only when the computer is awake at the specified time and NOT upon waking after the specified time?

I've been using Steve Lambert's SelfControl to block myself from certain time-sucking internet sites for a certain period of time every day. I've automated the program launch using an AppleScript that runs based on an iCal alarm, but the problem is that if my computer has been asleep or shut off, the script will run as soon as I wake it up or start it up, and that can be very inconvenient if I'm intending to use my computer not during the hours when I intended to restrict access to such websites.
So, is there any way to schedule an AppleScript to run *only* if the computer is running at the designated time and not upon waking/starting up after the alarm has passed if the computer was asleep/off?
I started investigating launchd, as I understand this is the successor to cron/crontab in OS X Lion, but it appears that launchd has the same behavior I dislike in the iCal alarm approach--the script will run upon waking even if the time when it was supposed to run has already passed...unless there is a way to change this behavior?

The obvious/easy solution would be to add some logic to the script to see what the time is.
If you expect the script to run at, say, 1pm, but the script checks the time and sees that it's 5pm then you can assume the machine was asleep at the time and thefore you can bail out gracefully.

-- it's sometime in the 1pm hour...
end if
You can fine-tune the check as much as you like

I've confirmed the mac address is included on that list and that the password is correct. Under choses netwrok I select the network and it just goes into a spin. I have tried removing the password and the access list settings and it still will not complete the connection to the router thus no internet access. The routers firmware is also up to date. This thing worked fine before this update and I've already tried to restore from backup. Any ideas or is the wifi nic bad in this thing with the new apple firmware update? Any fix?

Thanks Bob, I don't know why but it all of a sudden worked a few days later. It's a mystery but at least problem solved.

It appears your Service SFTP user was not created correctly. Please contact support and mention the fact that your Service SFTP user appears on Security/Users tab and not on Security/SFTP Users tab.

Sorry for the lengthy delay to a response. Are you trying to convert multiple files to individual PDF files at the same time? (not combine them). If so, you'll need to use Adobe Acrobat for this function. The CreatePDF service does not have the ability to convert multiple files to multiple individual PDF files.

Uncheck all the songs in the playlist. iTunes will then play one song and stop.

I have just found out what's wrong. I went to the 'more info' section of my Chitchat application and it took me to a link where it explained that Yahoo Chat has ditched chatting with the Java protocol and chatters can now only chat via the Yahoo Messenger protocol, which is Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't provide a platform for Yahoo Voice for Macintosh computers. Though the original link I went to provides another link to a thing called 'Adium' from which a Mac can access Yahoo Chat's new protocol, although it's not fully developed yet.
Oh...and thanks so much for letting me know about the Java update release. I did not know that I have to upgrade my system first to recieve the latest update information.

Hi All -
The production planners would like to enter manual production orders in the PPT or DS board in time and not Qty. Is it possible at all?
For example, after their analysis they realize they have 40 minutes of capacity available for a new SKU and would like to create a planned order for 40 minutes....the planner may not know exactly how much Qty can be made in 40 mins..

Can you check whether SAP_PP_CDOC " Capacity driven Order creation suits your need."
You can use this heuristic to create a new planned order or adjust the quantity of an existing planned order so as to ensure the best possible utilization of the resource within a specified period..
