Sgd client does not close after logging out of sgd on windows vista

Hi,
I have a scenario wherein I find that the sgd client in the system tray does not close even after logging out of sgd (using the browser).
We are using sgd 4.3.1
Is this a known issue.

Well, after searching every where, somewhere (not sure where now) I saw the suggestion to turn off bluetooth and NFC. I turned off both and it *seems* like the issue may be corrected. But what if I want touse a BT device, I guess I am stuck?
As to your questions, I my have changed to a larger mouse cursor, either that or the default cursor.
I think I may have had "mouse trails" clicked, not sure if that it the same as a mouse shadow? Neither ofthese options seem to make a difference.
I had a standard Windows provided background for use, no personal photos.
Hopefully this partial fix (turning off the other settings) helps someone else. It seems to have fixed the problem for me, at least in the last 3-4 days since switching I have not noted a return of the problem.

There are a variety of choices -- I use an extra large white arrow most of the time; sometimes I switch to a black cursor just for grins. You can change the selectors, too. Right-Click on the Background Screen and click Personalize ...
Are you using the entirely useless, but oh-so-pretty "mouse shadow"?
I am wondering if changing the pointer has had any effect on the disappearing act.
What about the background? Are you using a personal photo? Lots of colors? Does changing the background make any difference?

Hi! We have a VB application using Crystal Reports 6 that has worked successfully on hundreds of systems for over 10 years. Now, on one network, the application and access database does not close. It seems to hang on the [.Close] command.
When we open the application an peruse the screens without opening up a report (using crystal reports), the application and access db closes fine. But as soon as we run a report and then close the report and try to close the application, the access db does not close. Many of the screens open the db and grab data from the access db, but it's only after running crystal reports that we have this problem. (Please see more information below.)
Setup: Application and data (access 97 db) reside on a server in the same folder, but application shortcut is kicked off on client PC. Kicking off the shortcut on the client PC means that the image/process runs on the client PC (not on the server). In this problem case, the application shortcut is on a Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP2 PC with the app & data on a Windows 2003 server. Users are local Admins on their PCs with "Full Control"over the directory and files on the server where the data (access 97 db) resides. This type of setup is typical and has worked without any problems for clients.
The application is written in Visual Basic, using Crystal Reports 6 (using DAO). We close the recordset, set it to zero and then it hangs on closing the db (.Close command).
A few key pieces of information:
- The application closes fine if the app & data (access 97 db) are on a local PC. This includes closing fine if the application is run directly on the Windows 2003 server where the data is stored.
- It worked on this client's network until sometime in the last few weeks.
- One thing that changed is that the company is using VMWare on its servers. Not sure if they started using VMWare at the same time as it started failing. This may be unrelated. Possibly other things changed, but can't get any more information ... yet.
- It works fine running the application from a Windows Vista PC with a user who is a domain admin.
- The access db and application hang for about 10-20 minutes and then eventually closes. It appears that somehow
Crystal Reports is keeping the db open, but I'm not sure why.The application doesn't quit and the database doesn't close even if I try to end the task with the Task Manager.
- The Crystl32.ocx version being used is 8.0.0.4 (if that matters).
- I copied 6 month old program files and database files to a test folder on the Windows 2003 server. It fails using these files that worked fine 6 months ago.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated! If you know of another good place to post this, please let me know.

Crystal doesn't support tables in HTML interpretation.
You can probably work your way around this by doing Replace() calls on the relevant tags.

ITunes preferences not saved after logging out.

iTunes preferences not saved when logging out. Using iTunes11.0.4.4 Preferences are not saved when logging back in. Is this a bug or is there a file or registry key I need to fix?

If you used Mac's automatic Software Update... to get to 10.5.1, try this:
• Repair permissions.
• Download and install the Mac OS X 10.5.1 Update.
• Repair permissions again after the restart that completes the install.
• Test to see if problem is still there.
If problem exists, try suggestions relevant to your system from Apple's How to Troubleshoot iSight.

A pop-up window requiring a response does not close after being responded to.

A club membership database uses pop-up windows to request preferences for displaying information on the database. The window should close after the preference is saved. This closing occurs with Internet Explorer, but not with Firefox. The requested information cannot be retrieved unless the pop-up closes.

Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari, if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Application will quit.
If this does not help, press the power button for 7 or more seconds.
Computer will shut down.
Restart.
Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.
Best.

Wireless Network Does Not Work After Coming Out of Sleep

I have a WEP connection that does not broadcast. My Airport connects to it fine. When the MacBook comes out of sleep mode, sometimes it cannot connect and does not show the network in the list of available networks (because it doesn't broadcast, but the network is setup so it should show). If I turn off Airport and then immediately turn it back on, it connects right away.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a fix?

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I need to delete and recreate the connection because just bouncing the Airport on the MacBook brings the connection back online... so I don't think there is anything wrong with the connection per se. It doesn't happen every time I come backup from sleep, just often enough that it's something I'd like to see them fix in an update if it's a problem that other people are having too.
As for switching from WEP, I have a many wireless clients in my house including laptops, desktops, printers, console systems, and iPhones/Smart-Phones. They all support WEP, but they don't all support WPA. I'd rather try to keep from buying new network cards or new printers.

Xfce4 not starting after log out

Installed Archlinux distro and Xfce4 via pacman went fine installed a couple more apps (webbrowser, email, irc, wine, extra fonts, etc..) now i log out and when i try to log in (either root and normal user) i briefly see a crusor from the xfce desktop environnemnt and then it goes back to the prompt :
waiting for x server to shut down xfce-mcs-manager : Fatal IO error 11 (resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.
xfwm4: fatal error 11 (resource temporarily unavailable) on x server :0.0.
FreeFonPath: FPE "usr/share/fonts/misc" refcount is 2, should be 1 ; fixing.
Now i tried #startx and entered #startxfce4 in a xterm and it worked!!?
Any idea what could be going wrong here?
EDIT: ok turns out i CANT start X as root but there's no problem as a normal user. However, while in X i can switch to root no problem via console and open Xfce
I seriously need help here i'm confused

+ i have no xinitrc file in my /home/username, all i have is desktop. I just make this file with exec startxfce4 with nano or do i need to copy some other file and add it to it?
Note : And turns out that after a maintenance shutdown, i logged in as a normal user and type "startxfce4" and all went ok which is weird because i've trying to reboot and enter a xfce4 session all night...
Is there any way to go into standby mode for now until the issue is fix?? i don't have the option when i click on the icon and i don't know the command.... (this is an old laptop and the hdd is really annoying so just i just want to shut it down !!)

Adobe Reader does not close after printing.

When I right click on a .PDF in Windows and choose Print, the file prints but then Adobe Reader remains minimized on the task bar. How can I get Reader to automatically close after printing?

My hp deskjet 1510 series does not print when connected to my hp lap top (windows Vista), it says the printer is not active, although it is default printer, connected and on. However, it does work when connected to the (also HP) lap top (windows 8) of my husband. I did everything the hp print and scan doctor advised and also what I could find at HP support (like switch of fire walls, reinstall everything, check printpooler ec etc)... it still does nothing except that I managed to print a diagnostic print which should give information about the condition, but it only gives numbers and letters like : 11. SN = [Edited for Personal Information] Yr 12 PER = 05YR etc, that does not really help me :-). It won't print any testpages. H E L P!!!

I understand you're unable to print using the Deskjet 1510. I will do my best to assist you! When you reinstall the HP software, did the installation state it was complete?
I would start off by following this HP document on 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print. From this document, please make sure you check the connection type and the ports.

Lenovo T-400 series thinkpad. Mouse on the laptop does not respond after coming out of hibernation.

I have just received the new T-400 series Laptop. In few days I have observed twice that when the laptop comes out of hibernation the mouse stops responding. On both occasions I was forced to restart it.
Has anyone else experienced the same and most importantly can anyone let me know how to fix it?

futhermore logitech themselves state the following:

the keyboard should work regardless of any additional drivers from logitech. that being said, i have installed all the latest drivers and the keyboard is still unresponsive when it comes back from standby. this is obviously some sort of an OS
problem.

External iSight -- not "alive" after logging out

Following years of very satisfactory iChat use on Tiger.... and after Leopard updating: Whenever I close iChat and reopen, I find that my iSight camera has been lost. If I disconnect the firewire and reconnect, it is found again. But, I have to continuously repeat this scenario whenever I use iChat AV.

New ABAP Debugger Session does not close after Exiting

Hi Friends,
I am working on SAP GUI 710 & ECC 6. When I am debugging, new abap debugger is opening and I can do analysis normally. When we finish the debugging and want to exit, the debugging session is not closing and i get the following message on top of beugging window "ABAP Debugger Control Session 3 (Exclisive)". I want to know if there is any settings to be done to aviod this.

Input source settings not retained after log out/restart

This was happening in Mavericks as well, and I have just upgraded to 10.10.1 hoping it would solve the issue.
I frequently need two input sources (US and Czech QWERTY Keybaords) for my workflow. But everytime I logout or restart, the computer resets the input source to Czech (not QWERTY). I have never selected this keyboard, but it always resets to this default.
Is there a plsit file or something I can delete? I bought the computer used from a friend in the Czech Republic, but I am Aermican and would prefer default system languages and keyboards to be US English. I do, however, need the region settings set to Czech Republic as that's where I work. So, calendar, numbers, currency etc. should be Czech, but all other system language US English.

WS Client does not work after redeploy of EJB 3.0 Webservice.

I'm using Netbeans 5.5 RC1 against Glassfish. Glassfish reports this: " Sun Java System Application Server Enterprise Edition 9.1 (build b13)" for version info.
I have a simple Session Bean with the @WebService annotation.
I create a web service client using Netbeans to call the web service, I populate the arguments, and run it, and it works just fine.
If I simply REDEPLOY the EAR containing the Session Bean (via the Netbeans menu), the client will no longer work.
Rather, I get an exception:

A similar bug was reported earlier and it was fixed in SJSAS9.1-b15. Is there a possibility for you to try with some NB5.5 build that has a later AS9.1build ?

Adobe reader XI does not close after a right click to print.

We have upgraded from 9.3.3 to 11.0.3 and since then we can no longer right mouse click to print single or multiple documents without leaving Adobe reader open afterwards. Our company prints multiple PDFs everyday and it's very frustrating for our users to no longer have this function working correctly. It would seem we are not the only ones either but here has been no resoltion that I can find. Initally it said in various forums that the Welcome screen caused this problem but we have disabled it and it still happens and also the Protected mode has no effect. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

And if I close the browser, the session of the user in InfoVierw remains opened
