SGD Solaris x86 no SecurID support

Hi,
Is there no support for RSA SecurID on Solaris x86. SGD version 4.2. It seems as if the RSA SecurID module is just not installed (with security pack!).
Regards,
Arno Staal
Divider B.V.

Call or write RSA and let them know you want SecurID for Solaris X86. There is no excuse they don't release this as it is exactly the same code as Sparc, just a simple recompile.
I just spoke to them and they are checking on it for me.

  • Support for JRockit for WebLogic 10.3 in Solaris x86

    Hi All,
I am trying to install JRockit Mission Control 3.1.2 in a Solaris 10 x86 platform.
For Solaris Spark I know there is a special distribution.. For Solaris 10 x86 I am trying to install the generic linux version.
When I try to install the jrmc-3.1.2-1.6.0-linux-ia32.bin I get the following error:
    jrmc-3.1.2-1.6.0: Cannot find /lib/ld-linux.so.2
I also try with 64bit edition of the jrockit mission Control but I get a similar error but trying to find the /lib64/ld-linux.so.2.
Is Solaris 10 x86 supported? Or at least, is there a workaround to install it?
I find some site talking about JRockit for Solaris Spark, but seems to me that Solaris x86 is not supported...
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
The DTD used in "web.xml" should not cause any issue ...though it's the OLD "web.xml"...Please try to run the Following command to Generate the New Deployment Descriptors from the Existing Application:
Step1). Open a Command Window and Run "setWLSEnv.sh" or "setWLSEnv.cmd".
Step2). In the Command Prompt move to the Current Directory where you have placed your Application and then Run the Following Command
    java weblogic.DDConverter  -d NewDDs  jamagent.war
Here Above Command Will read the "jamagent.war" War archive and then It will generate the New DDs in "NewDDs" directory...Which we need to replace with the OLD DDs present in our WebApplication..

  • Oracle migration from Solaris 64 sparc to Solaris x86-64

Now that Solaris x86-64 is supported in Netweaver 2004s SR1, I was wondering about the migration path.
Would this be a heterogeneous migration or a homogeneous migration.
or to put it another way Export/import to migrate
    or backup/restore????
No documents exist yet regarding this migration.

    Hello Guys
Just wanted to ask you whether Migration of SAP system from Solaris SPARC to Solaris x86_64 is possible using the

I would be grateful if you could share your experience

  • IDM (OID/OVD/OIF) on Solaris x86 ?

    Hi,
I am completely stuck trying to install IDM 11.1.1.4 which is the only supported version for Solaris x86.
I have p11060980_111140_Solaris86-64 which is the 11.1.1.4 patch set but this will only install as an update to an existing installation.
However, I can't install 11.1.1.2 - or any other previous version - as a starting point as Solaris x86 is not supported!
I seem to be in a catch 22 here!
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Bernie

Have you sorted this out yet Bernie ?
There is an installer for 11.1.1.2 on x86-64.

  • Which 10g release supports Solaris x86 version 10?

    Hi,
I downloaded Oracle 10.1.0.3 for Solaris x86. When I installed it, I got error, saying I can only install this version on Solaris 9 x86. Do you have any idea which Oracle 10g version supports Solaris x86 version 10?
    Thanks
    L

    Hi,
If we believe metalink, Oracle 10gR1 is already certified for Solaris x86
Solaris Operating System x86 Version 10
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition Version 10g
    Status: Certified
    Certification Note:
    Install Information:
o 1. Execute runInstaller with the -ignoreSysPrereqs option.
o 2. Select 'Do not create a starter database' when installing Oracle 10g.
o 3. During installation, the warning message 'SUNWsprox package not installed' can be ignored. Press Continue to resume the installation.
o 4. Download and install patch 4186426 from metalink.oracle.com after installing Oracle 10g software.
o 5. If you have an End User Solaris 10 distribution, install the SUNWuiu8 package prior to installing the 10g client.
Have you run installer like recommended in point 1 ?
For 10gR2, you need to wait december for certification.
    Nicolas.

  • Does Form6i/Report6i support Solaris x86?

There is only Form6i and Report6i for SunSparc and no Solaris version for x86.
Have anybody tried to install the Linux version of Form6i or Report6i in a machine running Solaris X86? And what is the key to install it successfully?

I'm sure that Oracle8i server supports Solaris Intel Platform and Oracle9i doesn't support Solaris Intel Platform at this moment as I know.

  • Mounting a Solaris x86 CD/DVD from a remote Windows CD/DVD-ROM drive

    Greetings, all.
Is it possible to mount a remote Windows CD/DVD-ROM drive? I have the Solaris 10x86 Companion Software DVD sitting in a CD/DVD-ROM drive that's installed on a Windows server on my network. It is shared-out (F:) and the two servers can ping each other. I've also confirmed the NFS services/daemons are running on the Solaris x86 machine. I've tried the following variations but, all have failed to produce successful results:
    # mount -F nfs x.x.x.x:/f /mnt
nfs mount: x.x.x.x: : RPC: Program not registered
    nfs mount: retrying: /mnt
    # mount -F hsfs x.x.x.x:/f /mnt
    mount: No such device
    mount: cannot mount x.x.x.x:/f
    # mount -F hsfs x.x.x.x:/F /mnt
    mount: No such device
    mount: cannot mount x.x.x.x:/F
[FYI: S10_106_SOFTWARE is the DVD's label as reported by Windows Explorer.]
    # mount -F hsfs x.x.x.x:/S10_106_SOFTWARE /mnt
    mount: No such device
    mount: cannot mount x.x.x.x:/S10_106_SOFTWARE

I've also tried mounting it at bootup by adding the appropriate entry in the /etc/vfstab file but, this does not work as well. I've tried Google'ing for an answer to my issue but, I haven't been able to find anything that applies directly to what I'm reporting. It's usually chatter about mounting from one UNIX server to another. Any advice from the community would be greatly appreciated.

After three weeks, you deserve a reply. Windoze does
not natively support NFS.Also deserves a decent answer...
There are two ways to do this:
Install Microsoft's free "Windows Services for UNIX," which includes a Windows NFS server; or
Install the 'sharity' package (google for it); it provides Solaris systems the ability to mount Windows shares

  • Oracle 8.1.5 Client/WLS/Solaris x86

has anyone been able to get Oracle's client 8.1.5 running on Solaris x86 in conjunction with WLS to talk to back-end Oracle? Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks.

This will not work. We have not built the native libraries to work with
    Solaris on Intel..
I suggest trying the platform independent type 4 JDBC driver available for
free from Oracle. It is supported (as is any JDBC driver) with WebLogic
    Server. To download it:
Go to http://www.oracle.com and select the "Download" option.
From the resulting page, use the "Select Utility or Driver" dropdown to
    select Oracle JDBC drivers
From the resulting page, scroll down a little (since SQLJ stuff appears at
    the top).
    Or, to go directly there:

  • From 7.3 on NT to 8 on Solaris x86?

Has Oracle ported Oracle8 for Solaris x86?

    Hi,
usually I expect people to do a little research and I do not give everything chewed.
    Point 4:
    go to the
    <b>Oracle9i Database Migration Release 2 (9.2)</b>
    go to the chapter 3
    <b>Upgrading a Database to the New Oracle9i Release</b>
    go to the point:
    <b>Upgrade the Database Manually</b>
    Exactly from here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96530/upgrade.htm#1009200
    Keep in mind
    1) that the <i>EXACT </i>procedure you are following it is not indicated in this manual
    2) you have to think a little ( do you have all the windows services created on the destination system? if not, you have to create them ... )
    3) this procedure is not supported by SAP. It is a valid option but not supported by them. You have to practice until you get all the points correctly

  • Solaris x86 8 bootdisk

For some reason my computer fails to boot from scsi cdrom, is there a
bootdisk for Solaris x86? I have a Tekram DC-390F SCSI adapter and
    Pioneer DR-U24X CDROM-drive.

Tekram offer a driver for download - this presupposes you have a system already installed and running Solaris so that you can actually install the Tekram driver.
What Tekram have failed to implement and deliver is the "ITU" version of the driver - Install Time Update is Sun's mechanism \for allowing installation of drivers for devices which need to be bootable duringthe installation of the system - you'll see something like "F4 - use ITU floppy" along the bottom of the install screen.
Options are: complain to Tekram and ask if they've heard of ITU
    or
install with IDE CD then add SCSI support after

  • Solaris x86 or Solaris 8

What is the latest version of solaris on intel called? Is it generic
across intel boards? Are there some pitfalls to look out for (i.e.
only runs on 400 MHz or less, only a handfull of graphic cards, etc.)
What is the best C/C++ compiler? Does it support Visual Workshop?
How about Motif? What version? We were using Motif 1.2.4 on X11R5
from ICS, is this OK? Any heads up would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Solaris 8 is currently available at
    http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/binaries/index.html
Not sure what you mean by "generic across intel boards" - it's the
same kernel, but drivers will differ depending on your H/W config -
    see the HArdware Compatibility list:
    http://soldc.sun.com/support/drivers/hcl/index.html
There are freeware e.g. GNU compilers - go to sunfreeware.com
For serious commercial development, the Sun Workshop tools are
available - Workshop 5 is shipping now and you can get a WS6 early access at the access1.sun.com website.
CDE seems to have taken over from Motif. For details on X11R6 features etc, follow the first link below:

Oracle 10G release 1 only support up to Solaris 9.
You probably need to install 10G release 2. The second release of major Oracle version is always more stable anyway.
