SGE2000P looses the manually configured ipv4 address after reboot
I'm configuring a new SGE2000P Switch as standalone. As part of the configuration i need to assign a new IPV4 address to the switch instead the default one 192.168.1.254. After i apply the changes everything works fine, but when the switch get rebooted the ip address get back to the default one. Any help with this issue will be appreciated.

Hello Evillalona,
I was just looking at the issue you are having and wanted to check with you about the issue.
When you change the settings in the switch are you then going to the file managment section
of the switch and doing a copy the running config to the startup config? Just wanted to make
check and see if that would fix the problem you are having. I have heard of other people having
the same problem and that was the fix for them.
Thank you,

I have AppleTV and Ipad2 running VJay app to my TV over a private cisco router disabled firewall but I keep loosing the video on my TV after a few minutes what can I do?
I also get this problem on my iPad, so probably not related to the AppleTV. On the iPad I restarted Airport Extreme this time, and then the iPad saw my Home Sharing.
So to recap, restarting the router or Airport Express allowed the iPad and AppleTV to see Home Sharing. Restarting AppleTV also allows AppleTV to see Home Sharing.
So does anyone have any idea?
Thanks -
Embedded machine losing IP address after reboot
I have an industrial PC running a trial version of Windows Embedded Standard. It has a hard-coded IP address, and is scheduled to reboot every night. Every so often (3 times in the last 2 weeks), the device
will reboot, but another IP address will get assigned to the device. This device is NOT set up for DHCP. Looking through event viewer, I see a warning after the scheduled reboot stating that the device
cannot resolve our web address (which is expected since it no longer holds a valid IP). There is an error following that message stating that "The Superfetch service terminated with the following error: The system cannot find the file specified".
Rebooting the device again often resolves the issue - the device takes the correct IP address.
Has anyone ever run into an issue where a device running this OS loses its IP address after reboot? This forum is for WE POSReady. You might also post to a WES forum

Do you know if the OS is WES2009 or WES7?
Is EWF or FBWF enabled in the image?
What is the boot media?

How do I manually configure a Timecapsule after having restored it to original settings?
I have been experiencing very slow wifi speeds over my wireless and having done some research on the topic, many suggest that completely eliminating previous settings by restoring the Timecapsule and manually reconfiguring it may help. I have tried to do this, but despite changing the setting to "manually configure" in the hardware settings in the airport utility, every time I restore Timecapsule and begin to configure it, it tells me that it is reading the settings from the base station.
In addition, despite removing the check mark from the "remember previously joined networks" in airport utility, it still lists my previous SSID in the list of networks.
Since the wireless speed hasn't improved at all (in fact, it has deteriorated some) I am afraid the old set ups are still there and slowing things down. How can I completely remove all previous settings from my Timecapsule, my airport express and the airport utility software and start from scratch?
Thanks. How can I completely remove all previous settings from my Timecapsule, my airport express and the airport utility software and start from scratch?
There are two parts to this answer. The first relates to performing a Factory Default Reset separately on the Time Capsule and AirPort Express. This will erase the current network settings and return them to default values. This will not affect any backups that you may have stored on the Time Capsule disk. ***
Use the information in this Apple support document for that:
Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule FAQ
Part two would be to delete the previous wireless settings on your iMac. Here's how:
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
Open Network
Open Wi-Fi or AirPort
Click Advanced at the lower right of the window
Click on the name of a wireless network that you no longer need to highlight it
Click the - (minus) button at the bottom of the list to delete it
Do the same for other networks that you no longer need
Click OK, then click Apply
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access
Click on the name of a wireless network that you want to delete to highlight it
Click the Delete key on your keyboard
Do the same for other networks that you no longer need
Close KeyChain Access
*** If you need to erase the Time Capsule disk completely, post back for additional instructions. We need to know which version of AirPort Utility you are using to provide specific details. -
The dock crashes +/-5 minutes after reboot
As of yesterday, the dock simply crashes +/- 5 minutes after reboot.
I've been running SL successfully since the day it came out, without any problems.
I did upgrade an application, DockStar and feel that's the culprit here, although I have been running a demo version of it successfully.
If I go to system preferences and choose Dock it takes a while before the dock pane shows up and with default settings, and it also acts very slowly when changing settings. If I change the settings and then close the system preferences and then reopens it then my settings have disappeared.
And the bigger problem is that the Dock can not be seen (and it is not hidden at any of the monitor edges either).
How I can restore the dock?Kenichi Watanabe wrote:
Did you try moving the Mail preferences file to the Desktop (when Mail is NOT running), so that a new one gets created (by the Snow Leopard version of Mail.app)? That preference files is here
<user home folder>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
I just did it myself, and it did not change anything related to your accounts or what's in your Inbox, but the Mail windows size went to the default size and look. It did says say my "Outbox" has been renamed "Delivered," which is odd because it did not do that before when using Mail in Snow Leopard. If you drag the preference file to the Desktop instead of trashing it, you can put it back if something important is changed in Mail that you want back.
I just tried moving the Mail preferences file to the Desktop (I also got that odd Outbox/Delivered message), and the Dock indeed doesn't crash now.
BUT, I did loose all my accounts, so I had to drag the original preference file back.
Some extra info: The clean generated com.apple.mail.plist is only 8KB, while mine is 45KB.
Another fact: I only started using Mail for the first time after the Snow Leopard upgrade (because I'm an Exchange user), it's not that this has been an upgraded Mail with old accounts or settings in it. -

Configure IPv4 Manually? Using DHCP?
I have a wireless network using WDS with an AEBS and an AX. Everything is working fine, but I noticed today that in Airport Utility under the Internet heading that my AEBS has "Using DHCP" for Configure IPv4, while the AX has "Manually." Should both of these be set to "Using DHCP"? Does it matter?
As long as the manual configuration of IP address on the Airport Express was done in manner that isn't likely to conflict with your network's DHCP server, it doesn't matter.
What IP address is shown on that Airport Express configuration screen? -
Manually set IP addresses not working as needed
We have setup our DCHP server in that we manually not dynamically give IP addresses to workstations according to there mac addresses. But most of the time the the workstations go and get the IP addresses dynamically, and in this case most of the time we get IP conflict. Does it mean the giving IP addresses manually does not work properly in the DHCP configuration. For reasons, we need to use Manually assigned IP addresses not dynamically. And how can I trace why the manually configured workstation go and get IP addresses dynamically ?
It should work properly. Please post your configuration.

Manually Configuring CSRF filter in ADEP
Hello Folks,
I have installed the Document Services 10.0 in our development machine, which is a SUN sparc, Solaris based 64 bit machine. After the installation when I am trying to access the url as :-
http://<dev_server_name>com:9085/adminui
I am getting the below error in logs :-
[10/19/11 15:48:46:689 EDT] 00000030 CSRFFilter W Blocked request for resource:/adminui/login.faces due to invalid referer:http://<dev_server_name>com:9085/adminui/. More information is available at http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_lc_hardening_10
We do not have rights to install a browser on the unix box, and the only option is to set this up manually.
I want to know if there is a way to setup the white list manually, like by changing some DB property or may be changing some configuration file. Or may be during installation if I could specify this property in configuration manager ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Amit.I used Configuration Manager till it genereated the ear files in export directory. After that I deployed the ear's manually in admin console, also I created the data sources manually as defined in the installation pdf help document.
I deployed below ears in order as below :-
adobe-livecycle-native-websphere-sparc_sunos.ear
adobe-livecycle-websphere.ear
adobe-workspace-client.ear
After I deployed these ears, I did bootstrap the database using the below mentioned urls :-
Not sure, what exactly I missed during install
There are 3 more ear's generated in the export directory of Configuration Manager, that I did not deploy yet, as they were not mentioned in the manual configuration section in pdf, these are as follows :-
adobe-forms-ivs-websphere.ear
adobe-assembler-ivs.ear
adobe-output-ivs-websphere.ear
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Amit. -
Manual configuration - quick question!
The Dutch translation of the Airport extreme (7.1) software has a small mistake in the manual configuration part.
Under the menu "Airport" (button)
The third tab "Wireless"
There's 1 checkbox here below the "network name" text field.
What is it saying?
In Dutch we only get to see a part of the sentence.
Thanks for the help.Ok guys, found it out, it's "allow this network to be extended".

North America is finally out of new IPv4 addresses
Woo-hoo!!!!!!
I love IPv6, and have some great domain names and have been trying to increase the amount of IPv6 jobs I get, just need to convince the UK now......The day has finally come: North America is officially out of new IPv4 addresses.According to Ars Technica, the end of IPv4 addresses in North America wasoriginally forecast a decade ago. While "Asia,Europe, and Latin American have been parceling out scraps for a year or more, and now the ARIN[American Registry for Internet Numbers] wait list is here for the US, Canada, and numerous North Atlantic and Caribbean islands."That means that you either have to: (1) buy addresses from an organization that has extras lying around; (2) take a smaller block (Either 512 or 256); or (3) sit on the wait list until something crops up. Your other option is to set up a domain somewhere in Africa, which is the only continent to still have a surplus of IPv4 addresses. The good news: IPv6 is picking up speed and there are still plenty of these new, more...

Manually configuring WiFi network connections - ne...
Unable to uncover settings menu to allow for the manual configuration of the settings for my WiFI network. Network is using static IPs...is this not an option on the Lumia 920?
It is not an option. Fixed IP while fine for fixed devices that don't move and change networks, is not ideal for a mobile device connecting to multiple wlans with potentially different IP ranges. What you could do it to enable the DHCP server on your router with a small range which would allow you to use the phone while having your other devices on fixed IP's outside the range. Another possibility is to use IP reservation on the DHCP server for devices requiring a fixed IP. These are better solutions than having every device on fixed IP's.

Hi,
Please check the path of command emctl. The above emctl command is for Grid/Cloud Control. The output indicates that 'emctl' for database control was executed.
