    Hello,
The only wifi/Atheros card that is on S11 HCL list is AR242x 802.11 agb Wirless PCI Express Adapter:
    http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/hcl/data/components/details/atheros/sol_11_11_11/7066.html
So I assume there are no official drivers for AR9565 from Oracle.
Have you tried Atheros (vendor) page?

  • X86 printer driver for 64 bit Windows 7

I have Windows 7 (64bit) on my computer.  I want to install an x86 driver for my HP Photosmart C6280 printer so my XP laptop can print to this printer through my home network.  I started by clicking on Devices and Printer, clicked on the Photosmart printer icon, right clicked the icon and selected Printer Properties.  I clicked on the Sharing tab and the change setting button.  I then selected Additional Drivers.  I put a check in the box next to x86 and clicked OK.  Windows wants me to provide the driver.  I can find it on the installation disk for the printer.
How do I get this driver installed on my computer?

If you were able to install anything for the printer, then uninstall it. Next, download the correct software from this location:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=4063&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3194498
During the install you can select drivers only or the full software package, I believe.

  • Need to export windows 7 x64 builtin printer driver to a x86 print server

     Hi,
We're planning our migration to windows 7 x64. But our environment doesn't have a x64 server neither a Server 2008; we only have x86 server 2003.
We are having trouble with printer Konica Minolta Bizhub 161f. I spoke with Konica support, they advised me they do not have a x64 driver for this model yet. The tech told me i can use the
HP LaserJet Family PCL5 driver built-in windows 7. I connected the network printer and selected the built-in driver from the list. So far this works as a charm.
Here's my concern, in order to upload x64 drivers to a 32bit server, i need to first to connect the printer from the print server to my x64 computer. But when i try this, i don't have the
prompt to select a driver from win7 built-in drivers. When i choose connect to... it asks me to locate a INF file on my computer. I don't have the INF file since its built-in windows. I tried to look within Windows's file system, under "Windows\INF\" but i
    couldn't find what i need.
    1. How can i export or find a built-in driver file within windows 7?
2.Is there is a better way to upload x64 drivers to a 32bit Server 2003?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Benoit

    Hi Benoit,
    Thanks for the post.
Here is how we find the built-in driver file within Windows 7:
    1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows X64\Drivers\Version-3\{Printer Driver Name}, in the right panel, check the value of "InfPath". Now we will get the specific path of INF file.
    2. On a x32 Win2k3 server
    Click on Start, Control Panel
    Double click on Printers
    Press the ALT button
    or
Click on Organize, Layout, Menu Bar
Click on File, Run as administrator, Server Properties...
    Click on the Drivers tab
    Click on Add...
    Click on Next
Uncheck the 'x86 Type 3 - User Mode'
Check the 'x64 Type 3 - User Mode'
    Click on Have Disk...
Click on Browse... (to the x64 Win7 machine)
    \\X64Win7\c$\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\prn*.inf_{GUID}
    For example:
    \\X64Win7\c$\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\prnhp001.inf_5fecfc5e\prnhp001.inf
    Click on Open
    Click on Ok
    Under "Printers"
Select the print driver that you want to install
    Click on Next
    Click on Finish
Now you should be able to see the x64 print drivers installed under the "Processor" column.
    Click on Close
In this case, we need to pay attention to the match of INF file name. As the Konica Minolta Bizhub 161f 32-bit printer driver has been installed on Windows Server 2003, but you try to install HP LaserJet Family PCL5 64-bit printer driver. The two INF files
will not be the same, which causes the x64 driver can be instaled as an additional driver. So we need to change the INF file name to match the 32-bit one. I cannot guarantee that the method can totally work on this case as it may involve some custom settings
from printer manufacturer. If needed, I suggest you contact Konica Support when you go through it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need SM Bus Controller Driver for A75-S231

Unfortunately I am without my system and backup disks and I am in desperate need of a driver for the SM Bus Controller. Problem surfaced after re-install of XP Home.
I called Toshiba tech support to identify the motherboard chipset shipped with my unit (specs listed at end of post) so as to locate and download the driver. Unbelievably, Tech is not equipped to identify the make or model of my motherboard or identify the chipset. Third Party software tells me I have a Toshiba EDW10 Motherboard and tech searched the internet and told me I have some VIA motherboard and good luck finding your driver.
Please help, I didnt think that Toshiba of all people would be unable to identify their own systems but here I am 4 hours later bothering you good people and still hunting. Does anyone have the SM Bus controller driver for the A75-S231 or tell me what chipset was shipped with my unknown motherboard?
My system specs are as follows:

    Thanks fo your help.

    Hi
As far as I know your unit must be an US notebook model and please try to check Toshiba US download page under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp
Please dont be mad on tech support but I dont see any reason why they should know every technical detail of your notebook. Toshiba has designed drivers for every hardware component that you can have anytime you want and install it 1000 times if you want. Toshiba guarantee that it will work properly and I dont see any problem there.
Technical details you can get from Authorized service partners in your country.
    Good luck!

How to get the Windows Vista Driver for ATI Radeon 7500 card?

Is there any Vista 32-bit driver to update my card so that this system support Aero effect?

The Radeon 9000 driver works for the Radeon 7500 card.  I have successfully used it on a T43 with Vista Ultimate x86

Unfortunately no.  The Radeon 9000 driver should bring your graphics score up to close to 2, but it will not get it high enough to enable Aero support.

  • WES 7 OSD standalone (works) vs bootable (fails) - Failed to find suitable device driver for device (help)

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to deploy a Windows Embedded Standard 7 (trial key at the moment) image in SCCM 2012 SP1 with a very simple task sequence.
    I have a 'build and capture' and an OSD TS. I'm testing these on Hyper-V PCs and both work fine when i create stand alone media. The problem arrises when I try to deploy (or build & capture) with a bootable media;
The TS starts, formats the disk, applies the OS, Windows and network settings, Apply Device Drivers etc., but when it reboots into Windows
(or WES7 to be exact) it cant boot. The Windows Boot Manager reports a 0xc0000359 for storvsc.sys
And I can't figure out what's wrong. I will post the SMSTS log further down below. The SAME TS works fine when it's a stand alone media.
    I have tried to:
    - Apply the WIM manually (nothing wrong - boots fine)
    - Create and apply driver package for the Hyper-V machines (from the MSI's Windows5.x-HyperVIntegrationServices-x86 and Windows5.x-HyperVIntegrationServices-x64)
    - No dice
    - Create a new boot image with the hyper-v drivers in it. No dice
    - Google everything related I can think of.
I suspect it has something to do with the lines where it says:
"Failed to find a suitable device driver for device xxx”
It also has a couple of 401 errors when trying to get the packages, but it seems like it DOES end up getting the content.
Please help! What could it be?
I have 2 Hyper-V machines; one w. legacy network adapter - one not. Both have same issue.

  • Need to compile nvidia driver for a custom kernel [SOLVED]

    I compiled a custom kernel following this wiki page: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ker … rom_Source
I can boot into it just fine.  I now want to compile an nvidia driver for use with it and followed the steps on this wiki page: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVI … tom_kernel
I run into a problem when makepkg trys to compile it.  Here is the output:

If you are using a Linux 2.4 kernel, please make sure
you either have configured kernel sources matching your
kernel or the correct set of kernel headers installed
    on your system.
If you are using a Linux 2.6 kernel, please make sure
you have configured kernel sources matching your kernel
installed on your system. If you specified a separate
output directory using either the "KBUILD_OUTPUT" or
the "O" KBUILD parameter, make sure to specify this
directory with the SYSOUT environment variable or with
the equivalent nvidia-installer command line option.
Depending on where and how the kernel sources (or the
kernel headers) were installed, you may need to specify
their location with the SYSSRC environment variable or
the equivalent nvidia-installer command line option.

    Hello,
I'm kind of a noob and am trying to get follow the directions from the Nvidia wiki on installing on a custom kernel.  I'm trying to use the abs method to install on kernel26rt version 2.6.33rt.  I followed directions exactly and am getting an error that I didn't find on any other posts.  Can you please take a look?  Here is my terminal:

Where can I do that? You can not find it because it is not available. And, apparently it will not become available.
According to information, you will need to wait until Oracle releases 11gR2 for Solaris x86. Unfortunately we have no date for that.

you think that will be good idea for my pc  ??   #### To resolve this behavior, disable the ISA-to-PCI routing feature to allow these PC Cards to function in laptop computers:
    Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Locate and click to select the following key in the registry:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \System\        CurrentControlSet\Services\        PCMCIA\         Parameters
On the Edit menu, click New, click DWORD Value, type DisableIsaToPciRouting in the NewValue box, and then press ENTER.
Click to select DisableIsaToPciRouting, click Edit, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
    Quit Registry Editor.

  • Driver for 3com 3c905B Fast Ethernet

    Hello,
I was trying to see where I could get
    a driver for Solaris 8 Sparc - 3Com 3c905B
    for SunBlade
or what ethernet 100 mb network card is suppported in Solaris?
    Thanks

I think it is going to be difficult at best.
Glance through the Third-Party drivers link that is on the Solaris HCL page:
    http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/indexRes.html
Keep in mind that most of those links are to driver software
that is to be installed to Solaris-x86.
An example of what you may eventually get to ...
If you do successfully get such a card to work in a SPARC-based system,
it may only function AFTER the OS is fully booted, so it may not be usable as a primary interface.
The 3COM cards work very well in x86 architecture,
but it's a questionable exercise for SPARC systems.

  • Driver for Creative graphics blaster 3D CLGD5464 pci vga card

Can anyone tell me from where to find the driver for Creative graphics blaster 3D CLGD 5464 pci vga card. The driver in Solaris8 is for CLGD 5465 which is not compatible with my card. The solaris detects my card as CLGD 5465 but it doesent work. Can anyone tell me what should I do about it?
    thanks, Kashif ([email protected])

If it is not supported by the Xserver under Solaris you may find you can get it to work by installing XFree86 (www.xfree86.org), there are compiled binaries for Solaris Intel that will make the transition easier (personally I found the 3.3.5 version works well). First check at www.xfree86.org if your videa-card IS supported under XFree though. There are some tweaks you need to add to get it all to work in the Solaris x86 FAQ. Since you probably have to do all of this in non-gui its not easy but can be done.
