Schema for Oracle SOA Suite 11g: Build Composite Applications self study cd

I purchased the self study CD on subject Oracle SOA Suite 11g: Build Composite Applications. I like the class so far, but I am unsure if the class exercises come with the CD, which seems to contain mostly flash and web material for the course. Does anyone know if the SOADEMO schema comes as a default with the Oracle SOA Suite, or if not, how a person might get those exercise prerequisites/ oracle schema create scripts?

Composite schema for Oracle send port - Binding Issue

Hi this is my composite schema has 2 operations : the first is a generated view that has filter and column tags and the second one is a SQLEXECUTE operation. my problem is I think with the Binding of the composite schema.

Do you have Select statement in your Procedure used for SQLEXECUTE? Using "SET NOCOUNT OFF" in your procedure might work for you.

Find sys schema for imp database in 9i

Authentication Scheme for sample application in Oracle Express

All, I recently installed Oracle Express on linux and I was browsing the sample application and when I look up the Authentication Scheme for this app I get the message
No authentication schemes have been defined. You can create a new authentication scheme starting with the Create Scheme button above
Now when I click "Authentication Status " I see

Yet when I run the app I know it is looking up the data in the demo_users table. What I don't see is where the function custom_auth is defined for this app as the function to call for authenticating users. Can someone point me in the right direction.

I think i found it when you are in list view no schemes appear. However, when you switch to detail view then I can see the custom scheme.

We haven't tested and certified with Oracle XE internally
You need to use an Oracle Enterprise Edition for Advanced Replication
What version of Oracle Commerce are you installing, I cannot tell from the log snippet you have posted

Toad for Oracle 10.5 Schemas

Hello,
I am using Toad for Oracle 10.5 and I do not have Admin rights to any Schema Browsers. I have a few questions about copying one Schema to another Schema. I have DEV (development) and TST (test) environments where tables, triggers, packages, etc... are created and manipulated. Also, I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question but if this is not please point me in the right direction. If there are any links, threads, etc... that can assist me please provide them to me so I can review. Is there a way in Toad for Oracle to copy one Schema DEV to another schema TST? Are there any steps that can achieve this or is this only a Admin process. I am trying to implement this on my own instead of sending the task to the Admins within my department. Thanks for reading and taking the time to assist me with this.

I clicked on the Database - Export - Data Pump Export and once I clicked the green arrow I do receive the Toad Message. 'Your license does not permit executing "Data Pump Export4.", etc...' So that means even if you had dba privilege it was not possible to use that feature.
I did this yesterday and definitely thought that only certain programmers have rights to this from the error message. Every user/dba in your team who uses the toad for this feature(exp/imp) will face the same error what you came across.

Error creating a new Data Source for Oracle connection

I'm trying to create a new data source connection to our
Oracle 10gR2 server using ColdFusion Administrator 6.1 Standard on
a Windows 2003 server.
I created a System DSN ODBC connection for Oracle. I can use
the ODBC connection when connecting an Access db to Oracle but when
I try to use it w/ ColdFusion Admin it generates the following
error message:
Connection verification failed for data source: sitest2

Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error:
Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed

The schema/user is system and the password is alpha-numeric, upper/lower case, no special char ...
As a workaround I was able to add the password to the entry in the datasources.xml file and restarted BI Pub.
The JDBC is working ... I can test the connection successfully ... just wont save the entry

Looking For Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility

I'm trying to install a development Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.7 (Weblogic, BPM, etc) environment in a Windows Virtual Box VM. I'm following the directions in the following document: Oracle Fusion Middleware Download, Installation, and Configuration ReadMe. I've installed Oracle 11G r2 and am on the step for using the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility". I have looked high and low and can't find this utility on the Oracle web site. Can someone PLEASE point me to the location so I can download it.

Configuring Multiple Schemas in Oracle ADF application

Thanks all for the replies for my previous posts :-)
We have a requirement in which we need to configure our application for multiple Database schema. At runtime based upon the logged in user we need to get data from the schema related to that user.
These schema may be on same Database instance/server or may be on different DB servers.
The requirement is like this
Logged in User DB schema configured
"A" ASchema @ 127.0.0.1
"B" BSchema @ 127.0.0.2
"C" ASchema @ 127.0.0.1
"D" Dschema @ 127.0.0.2
based on the User login (which is happening through one OID system), I need to fetch data from different schema (configured for different application).
These schema have different set of tables but set of table we require for our application are of same structure.
Same structure means same Table names with same relations.
Please let me know can we do the same in Oracle ADF application and How?_
One more requirement is that if i add a user at runtime and configure the DB schema for this user, All data related to this users will be loaded from this Schema which is configured for this user.

You can try the below example to change database at run time.
in the filter change the connection and not the credentials

Most of the other part is done to handle state management tables, which you might also have to do unless you use a file passivation store or if its ok to passivate to a single database always.
If its ok to passivate to a single db always. Hard code the jbo.server.internal_connection in the AM configurations to a DB jndi name.
Adf allows you to activate and passivate to a different database other than what you are connected to get and put data.

Please share some simple examples to startwith for Oracle ESB.
I need to understand, what are the files are created, once created an ESB project.
What is the use of the files how to edit them with out using JDeveloper.
Iam trying to create a simple example.
I would like to create a file which has only "HELLO" in that file, simple text file inside a folder "INPUT" in my c:\ drive.
I wanted to create a ESB service which picks up the file and add a string to it like "HELLO" + "ESB" and drop this file into "OUTPUT" folder in c:\ drive.
How do i do that. I tried to do it when i deploy the integration server connection is gettting hit badly. I dont see that connection any more and i dont see that connection in my JDeveloper.
I dont want to start with existing code.

Hi,
If you want to do it from scratch you can basically do the following:
Make sure you have created an application server and integration server connection in JDeveloper.
1) Create a new JDeveloper project of type ESB project.
2) Possibly add a ESB System/Group (open the esb file and click "Create System/Group") to group ESB projects.
3) Create an XML schema describing your input XML file. Probably one element of type xsd:string.
4) Create an example XML file which is well-formed and valid according to the XSD from step 3.
5) Create a new File adapter (inbound/read). A routing service is automatically created.
6) Create a new File adapter (outbound/write).
7) Create a routing rule in the routing service in which you invoke the write method of the outbound file adapter. Possibly add a transformation using the XSL mapper.
8) Deploy the ESB project to the server.
9) Drop your XML file (from step 4) in the directory in which the inbound file adapter is polling.
10) If it is ok, the file should be picked up, transformed and dropped in the outbound directory. A new ESB instance should be visible in the ESB console.
See what files are generated on the filesystem in each of the above steps.

How to change parsing schema for REST

May be try exporting you restful webservice definition > Edit the export file in textpad/notepad and verify the parsing schema
