Shadow down page

hi there
can anyone help me with a problem on creating a banner and
shadow down the page? I've got so far, more or less finished it but
I can't seem to get the shadow gif to go to the bottom of the page
automatically depending on the browser! I've created it using two
div images. Image 1(top banner) is wrapper_01.gf and the shadow
that I'm trying to get down to the bottom of the page is
wrapper_bg.gif.
I've tried changing the values to auto etc but the shadow
gif(wrapper_bg.gif) doesn't change? heres what I've got so far!
http://www.pmrltd.co.uk/banner.html
(made up of two gif's) shown here
http://www.paragon360.com/example_01/banner.html

to the bottom and fit the page??? what am I doing wrong, please can
anyone help
thank you

  • Help! Need to override Page Down/Page Up in JList

    Help! Need to override Page Down/Page Up in JList...
    PgUp PgDn selects the top or bottom item in a Jlist when JList is in focus. I want PgUp and PgDn to do something different (which it does), but it still selects top or bottom items. How do I COMPLETELY remove all key listeners in the JList?
    Oliver

    Sounds like you are just adding a key listener to the list and just
    listening for PAGE_UP/PAGE_DOWN. Which is why the original behavior is
    still there: both your listener and the list's own handler are being
    invoked.
    What you might want to do instead is to either set your own action
    for PAGE_UP/PAGE_DOWN in the list's input map, and then set that action
    to your own in the list's action map, or try setting the scrollUp and
    scrollDown actions to your own action in the list's action map. Note
    that shift PAGE_UP/PAGE_DOWN are also bound, by the way.

  • Drill-down page from table

    I've created a table by dragging a Named Criteria of a View Object over. However, the table is quite packed because there are many fields, hence many columns. I want to show only a few columns, and make a drill-down page, in a way that I can click on any row and go to a page that displays the remaining fields for that row. How can I achieve that? I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0.

    Hi,
    1. Select the page in the Application Navigator
    2. Expand the table in the Structure Window
    3. Delete the columns you don't want to see
    4. Create a second page (or use a popup dialog)
    5. Drag and drop the same View Object as a table or form
    6. keep all columns or delete some
    7. Add a command link to the table on page 1
    8. Set the action property to match a navigation case you defined between page1 and page2
    This is all it takes. The command link, whe added into a column to the table ensures the row is selected
    Another option is to configure column freeze on the table. This way you can fix the columns that people always need to see and then allow them to use a horizontal scrollbar to scroll into the other

    Hi,
    Create two reports one with table and other with chart in compound layout view.Place Table in one page and to to column properties->data format->value interaction->navigation->select chart report that you created under column through which you want to navigate to chart.Make that column as prompted in chart if you want to filter data based on column selected.

  • Conditional display of headings based on drill-down page or section shown

    <div>Crystal Reports 10</div><div>I have a report (originally written by someone else) with 1 drill down page.</div><div>The drill down shows section group footer 2.</div><div>I am adding a new drill down from the 1st drill down. This will show the details section.</div><div>There are headings which are displayed in the page header section.</div><div>I would like to suppress or hide these headings when the 2nd drill down page (details section) is shown.</div><div>I figured I could do it based on whether a section, or a field within a section, is displayed on the page or not.</div><div>How to accomplish this?</div>

    Thanks for asking this question.Â
    There is a formatting function (under the Document Properties group of functions) called GroupLevel(). It returns what level of group you're on. You can use this along with the Suppress conditional format to show/hide a section based on where the user is located. Â
    This would be a great one to "show" as a sample. I'll add it to my task list for submissions up here.Â
    Again, thanks for asking the question and start the ball rolling!

  • Site is down page.

    Hi All,
    We would like to set up a 'site is down page.'  I would like to check with all the experts here and see how you have accomplished this.  I understand we can probably leverage the global error page setting.  But we wanna see if this can be pushed to the HTTP level.  In the Visual Admin for HTTP Provider, we see that we can set the Welcome pages.   We wanna see if we can specify the maintenance page there.  However, we don't know where this page is stored.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Here is a link from help.sap talking about this setting...

    Another question, we've brought down our content servers and the sorry server is sending out the sorry page that we have set up. I added all the settings indicated in the link about you gave me, and based on some of the other articles that I have seen while troubleshooting I have changed some of the persistence settings. Here are my configurations, any ideas?

  • Shadows in Pages

    Since installing Mountain Lion and applying the iWork 9.2 update I've been having some problems with Shadows in Pages 09 documents.
    Specifically when I apply shadows to Tables, they don't apply to the entire table, in the example below Pages has applied the shadow to the top row only, whereas I want the shadow to lift the whole table from the page (the whole table was selected before applying the shadow effect):
    Has anyone else experienced this problem? And how did you resolve it?
    I'm worried its a bug caused either by Mountain Lion or the 9.2 update, which would presumably meanrestoring my computer to Lion: A somewhat drastic measure for such an inconsequential (but highly desired) feature :-(

    I agree thats how it should work but that was not the case, hence the need for help. In the screenshot the entire table is selected, yet the shadow only applied to the header row.
    It is of no consequence now, background fill as suggested by Jerrold Green1 fixed the problem.

  • The trackball on my Lenovo laptop does not work to move up and down pages on the Firefox Beta. Can I enable this

    The problem started when I downloaded the Firefox Beta version 4. I have just upgraded to version 5 and I am still having the problem. I have a center button on mouse pad that allows me to move up and down pages without clicking on the sidebar,

    Try this: <br />
    Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter. <br />
    ''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
    '''''Filter''''' = '''trackpoint'''<br />
    '''''Pref''''' = '''ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled''' <br />change that from -1 to 1. <br />Restart Firefox.

  • How do I make subform flow down page without overlaping text?

    Here is my issue. I have a checkbox and if the user clicks on the checkbox a paragraph of text (which is in a subform) appears if they uncheck it, the subform of text dissappears. But my problem is if they uncheck it the subform dissapears which is what I want but there is a big gap on white space on the form so how do I get the other text to push up to the checkbox when it is not checked and move down accordingly when the checkbox is checked and the subform appears in the middle?. I am using FormCalc for the coding. My code for the checkbox in the "click" option is
    if($.rawValue ==1)then
    option1subform.presence ="visible"
    else option1subform.presence="invisible"
    endif

    Hi,
    'invisible' will make the object (subform) transparent, so that while the user cannot see it, it is still taking up space on the form.
    Instead you can use 'hidden', which will not only hide the object, but it wont take up space either, allowing other object to move up and take the space.
    HOWEVER, this will only work, if you have the page set to 'flowed', in the Object > Subform palette AND saved the form as a Dynamic XML form in the save as dialog.
    Here is an example: https://acrobat.com/#d=IFY2ZMg4G9XZmJnJJNSw*w
    Paul Guerette is doing an online talk on dynamic forms on the 30 November, which you should attend. Details here: Tech Talk: Developing Flowable Form Content
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • How Can I Shut Down Pages?

    Yesterday, I downloaded a document attached to an e-mail. It opened as a PDF and I simply read it. Then I decided to save it. Somehow I ended up in Pages with a drop down dialogue box to perform a "save as". I decided to shorten the file name and that's where it all seemed to come off the rails. I'm now in a position where I can't save the file, I can't cancel the operation, and I can't quit Pages. I've tried everything I can think of in the dialogue box (save, cancel etc.). I've even tried just turning the power off to my iMac and re-starting, but Pages and that dialogue box simply re-appear. I tried dragging iWorks to the trash bin to uninstall it, but it won't allow me to do that either. I also tried inserting the iWorks disk and re-installing the software, but it won't allow me to proceed because it says Pages is open (I know that; I just can't seem to find a way to close it as I'm in the middle of an operation to save a file). I seem to be in an endless loop.
    Anyone have a suggestion to get me out of this and close Pages. I don't care whether I save the file I opened that was attached to an e-mail. I just want to quit Pages. BTW, no other functions seem to be affected, though there's always a Pages window open with the "save as "dialogue box front and centre over top of the PDF file I opened.

    Go to Apple menu
    Force Quit
    Click on Pages
    I really don't understand how you ended in Pages to save an existing PDF document.

  • Page up and page down = pages go off centre

    A very basic question: when flipping through the pages of a book I've laid out, it would be nice if using the page up or down keys moved to the next page and centred them. Instead, however, the pages are moved knocked out of centre each time. How to get around this?
    This happens at all sizings except for 100%. The page size is closest at 127% to the actual physical printed page. There should be a way to set this as the defaul page size. At 127% the up and down keys result in the page dancing bout the screen going off centre both horizontally and vertically. At 100% the centreing is fine verticallz as you flip through the pages, but depending on whether its an odd or even page, the pages will still jump around horizontally. I'm working in spreads.
    Thank you.

    ... and Shift-PageUp/PageDown is the default for moving through the document in discreet pages.
    But if your like me and prefer PageUp and PageDown to move a full page, you can edit the shortcuts to work that way.

  • DIV not displaying properly, half way down page?!

    Hey Guys
    Really can't work this out. My code is below. I've also affixed a screenshot of what happens. The DIV no matter what you use, <p>, <h1> etc... It will display half way down the page! I've also affixed my CSS document for you to look at. I've tried deleting the slider JavaScript and CSS from the page with no results so I know it's not this. And yes, my code probably isn't the best way of doing things, tips appreciated as still learning!

    MANY THANKS! I appreciate your time!

    Height is not your friend.  The page/container height is always determined by the content inside it.  So adding explicit height values will often cause more pain than gain.   Suggest you start by removing all the height properties.
    Also, I don't see where you have cleared any of your floats.   You need to learn to do that.  Several methods available.
    Option #1 Use a CSS clearing class:
                   .clearing {clear:both; display:block; visibility:hidden}
    Insert this HTML after your floated boxes:
                   <hr class="clearing" />

  • Spry UI 1.7 slideshow images cascade down page in design view

    When I put in the Spry slideshow all the images go down the page in bullets.  It works fine in the browsers, so it is no problem.  But... it is SO annoying because I am trying to finish off the page and do some stuff under this slideshow but i can see there.  So it has messed me all up because I am not good at just hand coding the website... I have to do a little of both...  Others have kind of suggested to just live with it... but I just cant

    The only reliable view in DW is the Live View. Design view is OK for very simple layouts and documents. As soon as it becomes more complicated, then you cannot rely on design view.
    And even though Live View can give a better picture of what you are doing, you must always check your design in all of the target browsers.

  • Div shifting down page in live view

    I'm trying to create a website for a project I'm doing.I'm having a problem in live view where I the div with the id "imageholder" keeps shifting down the page. It looks fine in the editor but the browser and live view not so much. I want it to line up with the top div, not the bottom one.
    Another problem I'm having is that I can't adjust the footers margin very well. it's not taking into account the div's directly above it. I've included a screenshot of the page as it hasn't been uploaded online yet. Thanks
    Here is the code:

    Try this -
    <article class="mainpara">
      <div id="imageholder"><img src="Images/edited.jpg" width="355" height="266" alt=""/></div>
    <p>The limerick running club was founded in 2008. We are a community funded club with the sole aim of helping to make our community fitter and happier. Our main office is based in castletroy and you are welcome to drop in anytime and join up. </p>
      <p>Since the LRC was founded we have had a number of members who have shared with us their feeling about joining the club. </p>
      <p>You can read more about what their saying below</p>
    </article>
    Move the imageholder div so that it is the first child of the "mainpara" article.
    Also, you probably want "...what they're saying below" in that last paragraph above. Finally, why do you have a nested <nav> tag in your code?
