Shadow instance is not getting up

Hi
I'm having the problem to start the shadow instance in upgrade phase
tying to start shadow instance using ./SAPup startshd in usr/sap/put/bin/
it's throwing the error

and i checked buy unlocking the shadow but the problem remains same

Please have a look at the dev_disp and dev_w0 trace files or publish them.
They are located in the same directory as sapstart.log

Tp process in shadow instance is not working

Hi,
I am in the process of applying ERP EHP5 during the phase ACT_UPG the tp process was killed, the upgrade give us the option to restart the upgrade from the point it stop. we notice that the tp did not start and the log was not updated for long time.
Is there a way to start the tp of the shadow instance manually?

Are you getting any specific error on restarting the EhPI? No, it give me the same screen since I restart the phase ACT_UPG.
*This phase generally takes long time. When this phase starts, there will be one background job in SM37. Check whether that job is running or not? it start in August 1, there are job in sm37 it was failing due to space issue i extend the tablespace and it running now.

MySQL Instance Metrics not getting collected in OEM 12c

Hi All,
For MySQL instance, we have enabled "Other Statistics" metric collection and the collection time is every 15 mins.
We have not set any thresholds so this is not for alerting purpose.
For reference if I consider mysql_s_cpcwcmsqlq02e, I checked in backend the scheduler status and found below output in which I am not able to see other statistics metric for mysql:

I am not able to run manually collection of other statistics metrics. (Collection Name is "mysqlstatus").
Strange is for only 5 instances i am able to see data for this metrics.
Please help .. Oracle is not able to answer as plugin is pythian.

ESB Instance Not Getting Created

Hello,
I am trying to call one synchronous BPEL using one ESB. This ESB applies DVM while transforming input data into called BPEL format. But it shows some strange results. while calling ESB using any other BPEL
1. ESB instance is not getting created.
2. Synchronous BPEL is getting called but without DVM applied.
But If I use SoapUI to call the ESB, it's working fine. Can any body give me any clue, why is it happing?

Can you please confirm me the following steps...
Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.

SQL server instance not getting detected during SCOM 2012 R2 Installation

So i want to install SCOM in my domain, But i want to use a SQL server in my network which is in another domain.
So i have 4 server machines as below:
SERVER_DC1 - Domain controller of 1st domain.
SERVER_DC2 - Domain controller of 2nd domain.
SERVER_SQL - SQL server 2012 Enterprise installed for SCOM but is in Domain 1
Server_SCOM - I want to install SCOM in this but which is in domain 2
I created a trust relation between 2 domains with a Forest trust 2 way transitive.
I have created a security group and added that as SQL Admin during the installation. Later i added one Domain administrator account from Domain 2 to this security group.
When i do a installation in SERVER_DC1 for testing the SQL instance is being detected as below.
When i do the installation in Server_SCOM which is in another domain then the instance is not getting detected.
I have turned off windows firewall in all the machines.
Before creating the trust i ran the setup in Server_SCOM then it was giving me a warning saying it is not able to access the SQL server due to permission issues.
After giving permissions my instance is not at all getting detected.
Can any one help plz.

Really a helpful post. I tested the connection. I connected to the SQL server in Domain A using a server in domain B logged in as a domain B user to whom the SQL permissions are provided. The result says It was successful.
Below is the screenshot.
I don't understand why is it not getting detected in the SCOM setup.
But 1 more important thing which i forgot to mention.
When i log on to the server in which i want to install SCOM in domain B, But by using Domain A's user account (Added as a local user in SCOM server in domain B), Then the Instance is getting detected.
Below is a screenshot of that.
So has any one faced such a type of issue ?

Shadow instance number doubled on host

Hello together,
I need help with the following scenario.
I have running two ehp4 upgrade on the same host. And now during preprocessing i found
out the both are running with the same shadow instance sys number. I don't how this could
happen, but now the second shadow instance is not comming up.
Both are running wir DVEBMGS06. Upgrade1 already reched spdd. The second wants to schedule
job in shadow instsance, but this is not up. How i can change the shadow instance system number?

Hi,
I can suggest you to change the shadow system number and check as I am not sure whether this would work.
Chage the instance number of the shadow instance in the file <DIR_PUT>/bin/R3ENV.LST. Entry:
"<No.>" # SHD instance number (line 47) and also make sure that system number is not present in any shadow instance profile.
Has DVEBMGS06 got created for the not running shadow instance??? If yes then do u have any files in that directory.
NOTE : I am suggesting you only a possibility and not the solution. Please take a backup of all files before making any changes.

Not able to start the shadow instance in java only system

Hi All,
we are upgrading our portal system from 7.0 to 7.3EHP1 in oracle with HP-UX OS. We have started the upgrade and currently is in deploy shadow instance step of per-processing phase.we are getting error in deploy shadow instance step as below.

We have observed that, shadow instance service only is not running. we tried to start the shadow instance services manually, same failing again .Only shadow central instance services(SCS) came up and running .Still shadow service is not coming up.

Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off". I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
Can somebody advice.

Can you please confirm me the following steps...
Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.

Even I started opmnctl(Oracle Process Management Control). Its too running fine.

Job not getting invoked on a logical standby instance

Hello,
We have created a job(through dbms_scheduler API). The job is enabled and shows up in the SCHEDULERJOBS view also.
However the job does not get executed. I looked into the following tables there was no relevant entry found for the aforesaid job:
select * from all_scheduler_job_log
select * from dba_scheduler_running_jobs
select * from DBA_SCHEDULER_JOB_RUN_DETAILS order by log_date desc
Is there any limitation that we cannot execute scheduled jobs on a logical standby database. If i execute the relevant program (that is configured to be run as job in this scenario) as an individual procedure from SQL plus, it gets executed successfully implying there is no errors/problem in the subprogram that the job is going to invoke.

Just one query, can we invoke remote stored procedures(i.e. using datalinks) from dbms_scheduler jobs on another db.
i.e. something like this:
DB0(primary db instance); DB1(is a logical standby db); DB2(centralized repository db)
DB1 contains certain packaged application procedures that need to be invoked as a scheduled activity.
Previously we had the scheduled jobs residing on the logical standby db itself but because of this known issue we cannot proceed with that design.
So can we have jobs,programs(mapping to DB1s stored procedure) scheduled on DB2?

Can not get two instances to join same cluster even on same machine

On a RedHat Linux box, I have failed to get two instances of coherence to join the same cluster. I have managed to get the muticast test tool to show that packets are being sent and received. To do this, I had to:

I can't figure out why the work processes can't connect to the DB. I verify that the R3trans -d is working kernel exe, in both the exe and exenew of the upgrade shadow instance. Any ideas?
