Shake Reduction Filter Gone

Hello,
I am using Photoshop CC and I used to have the Shake Reduction filter as an option Filter > Sharpen > Shake Reduction. I want to use it now but it is no longer an option. How do I get it back? Thanks.

Where is the camera shake reduction filter on Photoshop Elements?

I downloaded Photoshop Elements for the sole purpose of using this camera shake reduction filter all over the website, but now cannot find it in the list of available filters. Help!

Unfortunately, the Camera Shake Reduction filter is only available in photoshop cc and cc 2014, which is part of the creative cloud, not in any version of photoshop elements.

Issue with shake reduction filter

I experience inconsistent results when using the camera shake reduction filter in Photoshop. On many occasions, I see *Poor blur trace. Click to apply* (see screenshot below). Is there anything I am doing wrong here? I am using Photoshop CC 2014 and this is an NEF file.

I think you have unrealistic expectations of the Shake Reduction Filter.
That photo is terrible; it should be re-shot. That is exactly what the message is telling you.
What I see there is NOT camera shake, but out-of-focus blur or soft-lens blur. If you happened to be using one of the so called kit-lenses from Nikon, you should know by now that, compared to the better lenses by Nikon, the kit-lenses are literally garbage. The same situation exists with the kit-lenses bundled with Canon cameras.
You're obviously on Windows, and I don't do windows, so that's all I can comment.

Camera shake reduction filter - double exposure blur problem

I am having a problem using the camera shake reduction filter to work on a digital image of an old photo which had a clear cut motion blur which formed a
double exposure when the camera motion stopped... this can be seen when the image is enlarged. Is it possible to sharpen these type of images ?

Can you post a small bit of it?
Usually the Shake Reduction tool will improve an image some, especially if you hunt around with the position, size, and shape of the analysis region until it gets it just about right, but there's really not a magical fix for motion-blurred images. Such an image, with whatever recovery mechanism, will not ever look as an image that's well-exposed to begin with.

For best results, where should the Camera Shake Reduction filter be positioned in the workflow? At the beginning? Toward the end? Before or after noise reduction? What about applying any of the sharpening tools or techniques in conjunction with the Shake Reduction filter?

Shake Reduction filter is slow on a very fast PC

When I render a preview in Shake Reduction filter in Photoshop CC it takes about 10 seconds on an 8-way Intel i7 with 16 GB RAM and an SSD scratch drive Windows PC. I have run performance analyzer during the rendering and cannot find any bottleneck. I am using Intel's HD 4600 graphics chip and have set Photoshop to Advanced Drawing mode in the Graphics Processor Settings enabling all the settings. I did try Normal and Basic settings but that made no difference. Does anyone have insight into this performance problem? Every other Photoshop operation is lighting fast.

Thanks Michael, but I think the people who put my box together fobbed me off with a low spec SSD. It's so far down this Benchmark list, I'm amazed it doesn't give up and die from feelings of inadequacy.
I have found a few links on how to go about swapping out the boot drive without reinstalling, so will get to it some time soon. I have spent NZ$1600 on my computer since Christmas, and only NZ$500 of that was an upgrade (new second monitor) the rest being replacing dead drives, PSU, and other stuff. Plus it is that hated Tax time again. Oh well. I'd hate to die with money in the bank!

Has anyone found any tutes on the Shake Reduction filter?

This filter is driving me crazy. I believe it could single-handedly redefine what we think of as being 'sharp' in digital imaging.
I'm re-thinking old pics I ignored because, at the time, I thought they were too soft to use.
Still, exactly what each slider does is not obvious. How does chosing different areas to analyse improve the filter?
Am I fine tuning something the more selections I make, or just making an ungodly mess of my image?
Will this look 'over processed' a year from now?

Select a raw dng image in LR 5 and right-click to edit in Photoshop CC.
Then, following the steps in all the video tutorials, choose Filter->Sharpen->Shake Reduction.
Viola, you will receive an error message "No new virtual tiles can be allocated".
Does this feature work on the latest released CC?

Usually means you're out of scratch disk space.
And that feature wasn't even introduced until Photoshop CC.

Camera Shake Reduction Filter

I can't find the shake reduction tool under the sharpen filter. I have checked for Photoshop CC updates, but there are no further updates required/available. Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

Shake Reduction Filter - where did it go?

Software tells me it is up to date, yet most of my filters are no longer there. What happened?

Operating system: Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

Instead of updating it almost seems like it went backward. Filter options are less than Photoshop 7. Software on my laptop is fine (Windows 8.1 64bit), but on the desktop there seems to be a problem. Below is a screen shot, but the Filter menu won't copy. (Made image smaller due to an error in including a larger image) Drop down menu lists:

Shake reduction filter

Everytime I try to use this filter this message comes up; "the operation could not be completed, a write permissions error has ocurred". Please advise!

To fix the permission:
- Hold down the Alt (Option) key when using the Go menu. The user library folder is now listed below the current user's home directory. Click and open the library folder.
- Select the Preferences folder. Press command-I to get Info. Expand sharing and permssions at the bottom of the Get Info dialog. Select your user name, the one with (me) after it and make sure Read & Write privileges are set, not Read Only.
- If that folder is ok move down to the Adobe folder in Preferences and do the same check.
- If that folder is ok move down to the Plugins folder in the Adobe folder and do the same check. I suspect this is the bad one.
One of these should have Read Only privileges set.
Please let me know how it goes.

After installation of PS CC I have not been able to find Shake Reduction filter among Sarpen filters. Please help!

Are you using an english version of photoshop cc.
(Filter>Sharpen>Shake Reduction)
In the english version it's on the top of the list for Sharpen filters, but for example, in a spanish language version it's the fifth (5th)
filter on the sharpen list.
There should be six filters on the Sharpen list, so if you have a non english version of photoshop cc, you might just try all six, since sometimes names
get lost in translations.
