Thanks so much , i m waiting for a reply.
Best regards,
Darius

I have the same rattle noise on my iPhone 5, I have owned several phones of different manufacturers, include iPhone 4 and 4S. All of them have that kind of noise close to the camera, some more, some less. This is caused form the lenses of the camera. This is normal, as long you don't have problems with the quality of the pictures. Just keep watching is the noise don't get worst

  • Screen shaking problem?

On my eMac i noticed the screen is vibrating quite a bit, i restored all the display setting to the factory settings and nothing seems to help, only if i enter a few applications or get the screen moving a bit, but after it is woken up from sleep or after the monitor is turned on after being off i notice a slight shaking. Any Ideas of what is wrong?

Good Morning - My daughter's Imac began to exhibit
these same symptoms with no solutions available, and
dire warnings re death etc, though all well
intentioned, based on my description of the problem.
Not long after the 'shaking/quivering' began on her
Imac, I found a good deal on an Emac, used, but late
model. Setting up the Emac, the same problem
occurred! Thinking that this just couldn't be
coincidence, I replaced the 15amp outlet serving the
power cord - Immediately the Emac became perfectly
stable, as did the Imac I plugged in later. A good
lesson for me; always check the simple stuff first.
Best of luck on this - Eric
Thank you for the input, I will try moving it to a few different locations and trying alternate power sources, i already opend it up today and i found nothing unusual, everything seems inplace just like it should.
    Thanks

  • Safari "shaking" problem...

I looked for previous post about this issue, but couldn't find any. I am using safari 3.0.4 and am having the following issue: every so often, when I am viewing a page, the page I am viewing starts rapidly scrolling up and down with no input from the user. It's like a ghost takes control of the mouse and uses the scroll wheel to scroll up and down the web page at supersonic speed. This occurs for about 5 or so seconds, then it releases. I've been using a Kensington Wireless mouse with scroll wheel for several years now, but the problem has been within the past 6 -12 months. Any thoughts?

I downloaded the Developer preview of Safari 4 and it stuffed up some of my Widgets. Tried to re install 3.1.1 from the Apple site to see if the problem was Safari 4. The installer crashed. Realised I had not uninstalled 4 from HD. Did this and restarted. Tried to install the 3.1.1 version again and all of my drives were unavailable from the installler and as with the others here "will not install on this OS 10.5.2. required and I DO have 10.5.3. I then trashed all of Safari that I could find with Spotlight, and got a copy of 3.0.4 from and old backup and dragged it into the Apps folder on my startup drive.
I am using it now. Tried to update it to 3.1.1 but it still says I dont have the correct OS.
Repaired permissions and all of the usual voodoo but nothing has worked.

  • How to solve (partially) the install FH problem

Many thanks to Mark/maeric for coming up with the solution.
The original install was not placing a Macromedia folder in the Application Support folder. So he had me manually make a Macromedia folder in MacHD > Library > Application Support AND in User > Library > Application Support. It appears it needs both. Put the MXa Registratin file in there after installing (but before running) FH and it works. At last!
However, a similar, less earth-shaking problem has arisen. I can't seem to install the updater. No matter what I do, I get "Cannot complete > File not found: Marcormedia Freehand."
Another user, Claire in the UK, has had the same initial problem. So the major issue at least appears to be solved. And FH MXa documents open in FH MX 11.0.
    Best to all,
    Ernie

Glad to help out Ernie.  On to the second question about the updater; I realized that if you only have FHMX 11.0 installed you can't jump to 11.02 without first having updated to 11.01. But to get that, you have to go through Customer Service (which is a total pain.) The easy solution is to download the FHMX trial version which is FH 11.0.2. This will bypass the 11.01 updater. • DVD quality problem

I'm producing training videos and most of it looks good on the final DVD. The exceptions are Camtasia screen movies. I can make them look very clear using the DivX encoder but when played on older DVD players and TVs, the image shakes. Also, if played on a high-end TV (plasma, lcd), the screen movies look fine. All of the on-screen instructor footage is fine. It's just the screen movies that are giving me a headache. I'm very interested in using BitVice and just downloaded the demo version. However, I can't figure out how to export a sequence using BitVice instead of Compreeor. With DivX, I export as QT conversion and choose DivX. That option isn't there for BitVice. So two questions - do you think BitVice can solve the shaking problem and if so, how can I export a sequence using BitVice? btw...I think I need to export the sequence rather than import the BitVice clip directly into DVD SP since I have to syncronize all of the voiceover in FCP. Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

    Hi saylahv,
Thanks for the reply! I think your idea is a good one and it's a technique I tried a couple of months ago, one that's worked best so far. Unfortunately, it still doesn't meet the quality requirements we need to achieve. I was able to connect my Sony DCR-VX2000 to the pc via s-video, set the camera up as a second monitor, record to mini-dv, and capture to FCP. The limiting factor seems to be the maximum resolution of the second monitor (the camera), so the image quality still isn't as sharp as the image you see on the pc screen. I think this is still a far better solution than using Camtasia and going through all of the conversion steps necessary to get it to the final video (and that hasn't worked yet anyway!). So now I'm wondering if I use the DV in/out jack to connect the computer to the camera (or better yet to the G5 where I can capture everything with Snapz Pro X), would I get the quality I need? I tried that initially and could seem to make it work at all. Since I'm not as familiar with a pc as I am with a Mac, that's not a surprise! Or is there a DVD recorder available with a DV in jack (lots seem to have DV out), so I could record everything happening on the pc screen, burn it to DVD, and use something like Mac the Ripper to rip the mpeg-2 files for use in FCP? All I know is there's got to be a better way to do this than the ways I've tried so far. When I watch tv news, I ofter see screen recordings as part of news graphics, etc. and they always look fine. I guess it's possible they're doing it with the help of a bazillion dollars worth of equipment ... but maybe not. Anyhow, I again thank you for you response and welcome any further suggestions and ideas.

  • How do I put a space between numbers without the keyboard switching to ABC?

Using the onscreen keyboard on the iPhone or iPad I often need to write a telephone number.  I like to separate the area code from the rest of the number, and also write out phone numbers as XXX XXXX, with a space in the middle--but if I hit Space, the keyboard changes to ABC and I have to tap again to change back to 123 (Numbers) to finish the phone number--not a world shaking problem but a nuisance when you have to do it over and over.  Is there a fix for this?---an example of something that is supposed to make your work easier, working against you. Thanks.

Although hyphens are commonly used in the formatting of US phone numbers, they are never used when formatting UK phone numbers. It just wouldn't look 'right' to use them in a UK number and could even confuse readers.

  • Macbook Pro Hi Res Screen 1440x900 instead of 1440x852

I have a new 15" MacBook Pro with a High Resolution Screen.  I wan't the antiglare more than the high resolution, and I makes some things too small when I don't have my reading glasses.  I can set it to 1440x852, which is "OK", but why can't I set it to the reslution the non-high res screen uses (1440x900).  There is a bar of black at the top and the bottom, so I do waste a small bit of "real estate".
Maybe not the most earth shaking problem, but something that bugs me....

    There is a fix!
I have a 30 inch monitor running at 2560 x 1600 with my Mac Mini and the outrageous $99 adapter from Apple. (Found it new for $60 on eBay.)
My menu bars and Google Chrome's tabs and bookmark bar were both way too small - like 4 point!
TinkerToolSystem, (not TinkerTool) allows you to go into hidden preferences and re-set to "HiDPI." Afer making the adjustment which doubled my DPI, I had to choose half the resolution 1280 x 800, but with no loss of real resolution! Things did get bigger elsewhere but I was able to adjust most of them. Hooray! GL!
Download the Evaluation copy of TinkerToolSystem. You get to open it 5 times for free.
    http://www.bresink.com/osx/300321023/Docs-en/pgs/System.html
    About halfway down, under "Screen."
    For Snow Leopard
By default, Mac OS X assumes that the display screen is rendering graphics with a resolution of 72 pixels per inch. This policy was taken over from the classic Mac OS. While this basic assumption was true when the Macintosh was introduced more than 20 years ago, today's display devices often have a much higher resolution. The pixels have become smaller, so your screen may actually use e.g. 100 pixels per inch. In practice, this means that graphical elements, for example fonts, will be displayed too small, so a 12 point font selected in an application might no longer match the actual size of a 12 point font printed in a book when you compare screen and book side by side.
To accommodate these changes, Mac OS X is capable of using arbitrary display resolutions. TinkerTool System allows you to change the resolution between 36 and 216 pixels per inch. If the screen display stays the same, the screen contents will be displayed larger when you set a higher resolution, and smaller when you set a lower resolution.
    For Lion and Mt.Lion
Apple has removed the feature from the operating system that allowed to control the physical resolution of screen output by an infinitely variable factor. As of 10.7 or later, this function was replaced by the feature HiDPI (High Number of Dots per Inch) which allows to double the physical resolution only. This means you can select between the discrete values 72 ppi and 144 ppi (or 288, 578, … ppi in the far future). Other magnification steps or scaling down are no longer available. The HiDPI strategy allow OS X to be used on ultra-high-resolution screens (“retina displays”).
Enabling the HiDPI feature requires two steps. The first step is to unlock HiDPI mode via TinkerTool System. The second step is to select one of the HiDPI display resolutions on the pane Displays ofSystem Preferences. Perform the following steps to work with HiDPI display modes:
Select the item Screen in the pane System.
Switch between the two possible modes Hide HiDPI resolutions and Display HiDPI resolutions.
Log out to let the change take effect.
When you log in again, you can launch System Preferences, go to Displays and choose one of the HiDPI settings shown in the table Display > Resolutions.
WARNING: The display resolution is a very critical setting. If you set the resolution too high, the windows can become so large that they no longer fit on screen. This means you can no longer see or control all parts of some applications which can make your system unusable!
To use the system with 144 ppi, a screen with at least 2048 x 1536 pixels is strongly recommended, because OS X applications are designed by the rule that they can expect windows to have a minimum size of 1024 x 768 pixels at 72 ppi.
The Retina Displays may lead to a software update and then we will all be happy.

  • TextField shakes for no obvious reason.

I've been trying to fix this problem for hours and I'm ready to give up. Here's is the set-up:
I have a pretty simple MovieClip moving about the stage.  The MovieClip has some shapes and a TextField on the top.  Basically, it's a balloon with a word inside. For some weird reason, when the clip is moving, the text inside shakes (not a lot, just a couple of pixels in random directions).  This is very annoying and I can't find any reason for it inside the .fla file or the class files.
If you have seen anything like that, please share your wisdom!

Yes, the font is embedded.  I tried different fonts.  You can see from the screenshot that I'm using Times New Roman now.
I'm moving the balloon programmatically.  The code looks like this:
    onEnterFrame(
    balloon.x + = speedX;
I just realized that the speedX is not integer and Flash probably can't render text "in sync" with a shape if it's not aligned to the pixels.  So, I tried rounding speedX before incrementing the balloon position.  That solved the "shaking" problem, but obviously the movement is not smooth anymore, the balloons "step" instead of "glide".  So this solution is not acceptable.  Any good ideas?

  • "old" iphone tech issues

Since launch of new iPhone, I have experienced variety of issues with my "old" iPhone. Frustrating. Same for anyone else.

Sorry I wasn't specific enough. Nothing major, but a drop in efficiency since the new iphone was launched. Specifically, (1) items that are deleted on my computer appear as "new unread" on my iphonefor quite some time after the original delete on my Mac. (2) the iphone is slow to get new messages. in the past, it connected immediately when I went to mail and updated each time i went to "mail." Now there is a significant delay before it connects to up date mail, and often I have to initiate such action (3) Frequently, I have to manually delete msgs off my iphone to make it current to my mac. While these are not earth-shaking problems, they all started with the launch of ME and/or the new iPhone. I went to the apple store - they reset it for me, but said they were having problems now with the sync function. Perhaps I need to do someting relative to "ME" to eliminate these issues. But that shouldn't be the case.

  • .Mac mail time zones

Not the most earth shaking problem, but....
I just came back from a trip to the West Coast, which, as you all know, is three hours earlier than the East. The times were set automatically by the phone, both for the iPhone and for the mail section.
Here's the problem: When I returned, although the phone reset itself, the mail section did not: it still tells me that it checked for messages and gives me a three hour earlier time.
Does anyone know how I correct this?
    Thanks in advance.

I wonder if your Mac is attempting to open the file directly.
I usuall zip my attachments before emailing them. This prevents any odd behavior on any computer and also precludes corruption during the email routing. Yes, this is only a workaround, but you might wait to see if others have a similar issue.
You can also run Console and read the log to see if there is any information about what is stalling the process.

Now I have new phone Apple helped me change Apple ID to correct email but don't know what to do about old phone which must still have wrong apple id stored. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Udev update/audio cds broken

Audio cds do not work in an up-to-date Arch system as of the time of this post. This is not an Arch problem. It appears to be caused by a bug in udev and there has been a lot of discussion about this in Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse, and other forums for something around a year now.
I raise this issue here, though, because Arch is providing a version of udev that is now 4 months old (146-2). A package search shows 150-3 (which is not the latest version -- 151 is, though it only appeared two days ago) in testing, but "orphaned", which gives me concern that no one is working on this. Is my concern valid? While I concede that this is not an earth-shaking problem, it is pretty disappointing not be able to play ones' CDs (you remember what they are, don't you?) as a result of a bug that has been allowed to persist for at least a year. And, I would argue, that udev is a pretty important subsystem, with a reach well beyond whether I get to play my CDs, hence my concern about the "orphaned" status. Can someone involved with the Arch project shed any light on this?
    Thanks --
    /Don Allen

Guys, either you aren't reading carefully or I'm not being clear. This is a bug in udev. It has been reported by numerous people using a number of different Linux distributions (to the responder who suggested that I enter a bug report "even if it's only my system" -- please read more carefully!).
It's been fixed (in fact, reverting to something like v141 also fixes it -- they broke something in the intervening versions). It's not an Arch problem. The new version of udev currently under test should take care of it. Bug databases cluttered with useless noise become that much less valuable and I'm not going to clutter the Arch database with a report about a bug that
    a. has been fixed, and
    b. is not in their purview.

  • Iphone 5 KILLS all chargers

I am honestly at my wits end. I can officially say, I will likely never purchase another I-device again, which is a shame because it used to be so reliable.
I excited purchased and Iphone 5 in October 2012. I was happy, new technology it would be a great thing (I was actually upgrading from a 3). I noticed in the beginning that my phone NEVER held a charge. It died SO fast, but I thought it just came with the new technology. In the span of 10 months I went through THREE charger cables which I thought was a bit weird, but then again I was ALWAYS charging it because it was ALWAYS dying so maybe that was the issue. Until of course, August rolled around and out of the blue my phone stopped charging all together.
Took it into the apple store. They did a diagnostic on it. Turns out there was something wrong with the charging port the entire time (likely why it didn't hold a charge ever and what killed all of those cords). Apple graciously replaced it for free, however I was never refunded ANYTHING for the cords that I spent money on that year. Fast forward 2 days later. Already issues with the new phone. Edge of the screen has a vibration, it randomly freezes and the screen goes entirely white and shuts down. Have to restart. It happens a few times, I take it in they assure me its fine.
Fast forward 2 months, October. Now the phone is doing it every 5 mins, screen is always fading. Take it in. Finally, sorry guess what there has actually been a problem with a part of this phone that connects to the screen the entire time. Our bad! Here's another free phone.
Now I know what you are all thinking. Great they have replaced a purchase twice! That's amazing, and I agree. Except for the fact when you pay hundreds of dollars for a piece of technology and its accesories you shouldn't REALLY have to have so many issues that it is replaced TWICE in the span of a year.
Fine, new phone ago. Wahoo! No screen shaking problems. No battery draining problems. What in the world could go wrong now.
The attached picture will help. Since October I have gone through THREE Iphone chargers from apple and FIVE more knock offs (I mean at like 40 dollars a pop who can afford to keep buying the real thing). I've tried buying the lightning cord... it dies after max a month. Ive tried buying the old cord with the adaptor it dies after a month. I try knockoffs... same thing.
Like really? I have spent literally well over 150 dollars in chargers in a year and half?!?!? Could you imagine if I hadn't of bought the knockoffs. Apple this time takes no time to tell me that it's wear and tear of the chargers. Oh I am sorry I guess the charger remaining idle at home is TOO much for it.
Has anyone else had this problem? I've seen related topics when I searched google. I just can't for the life of me wrap my mind around it. I also can't afford to continue paying for accesories to a phone that seemingly is just fritzing all the time. I have stood up and by apple for a while, while every moves onto other phones with less issues and it's unfortunate to say I think I've come to the end of the road.

I have an iPhone 5. Bought it new. Charge time is the WORST of ANY smartphone I've EVER owned and, if I want to actually USE my phone, I HAVE to have it on a charger about every TWO HOURS. I had it replace TWICE! NO DIFFERENCE.
THEN, on top of that, I've NEVER had a charger cord last longer than about TWO MONTHS!!! I got tired of throwing my money away on the expensive Apple charger cords, after purchasing FOUR IN LESS THAN NINE MONTHS. I began buying the 'generic' cords at Walmart. This 'saved' me $10 a pop but, at more than $20, with tax, it was STILL TOO MUCH and they ALSO lasted about 2 months each. Then little 'store' at my local Walmart's Murphy Gas Station began selling really short cords for FIVE BUCKS!!! I WAS SOLD!!! They still only last about 2 months but $5 is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than $20-$30!! I'm waiting to see how the iPhone 6 does with cords and charge time. I MAY wait until the iPhone 7 comes out!!

  • Wavy, screeching CRT? Weird, I know! Help if you can.

Ok, so I just LOVE the quality of my built-in eMac speakers. (They could be a bit louder though...) I've had a few problems with them however. I bought my eMac off eBay and the seller stupidly sent it using FedEx. FedEx ***** at delivering computers in good condition. I have a huge crack going from the DVD drive to underneath the left speaker. UPS did MUCH better with my iMac G3, only making a small crack next to the Apple on the back.
Anyway, I also received it with the left speaker detached and floating around in the case. Can't be good, right? Right. I opened up the eMac (It looks really cool with the big piece of white plastic!) and took a look. The speaker had broken off its screws and fell back. I superglued it back in place and it works fine to this day. (It's been with me for at least a month or two now.) Another problem with the eMac is that the left side of the front cover is bulging out. So while I was looking at the speaker, I decided to take a look at that too. Turns out that ALL the screws holding the cover to the front are broken. No way of pushing the case back into place so it won't bulge. I've learned to live with it since I can't really tell from the front anyway.
Ok, with all that out of the way, lets get to the REAL problem. When I have my sound turned up enough so it shows three curves coming out of the speaker in the menu bar, my screen seems to wiggle on the left near the bulge. You can sort of imagine how freaky it is. It only happens with pitches in the mid-range, but since I'm a total GarageBand fan, it gets annoying.
I have heard that many eMac CRTs are faulty, but there is only one other problem with my screen.
The other problem is that when you put the display on 1152x864 or 1280x960, it makes a HORRID screeching noise. Very high pitched, and it CAN'T be good.
So help me out... why is my screen screaming at me and shaking itself? When I use external speakers the shaking problem goes away. It is vibrating in the case? do I need to re-glue the speaker in again?
Thanx in advance Apple fanz! APPLE FTW. MICROSUCK *****.

Michael is absolutely correct about the packaging issue; the only way that sort of damage could occur in shipping without being immediately apparent from the condition of the box is if FedEx repackaged it before delivery. That's not really part of their reputation (inexplicable delays and casually leaving expensive packages lying in the open unsigned for, maybe, but not going to such length to hide damage).
While dealing with the issue through eBay, be aware that even with an eMac in perfect condition, complaints about screen shaking in the lower corners of the CRT display with the speakers on high volume are (or where) common. It normally appears only at maximum volume and is due to the magnetic field from the speaker coils overwhelming the shielding that's in place around the speakers. (The shielding is fairly minimal, not surprising given the extremely tight space constraints and the eMac's original design as an education model for use in schools.) The eMac you have certainly has the shielding out of place and loose, so the screen interference will be more pronounced and at lower volumes. A possible kludge workaround is to use headphones (or shielded external speakers) instead of the speakers, since plugging a device into the headphone port should disbale the internal speakers.
