Shall I undo the Applied OSS notes

Hi Team,
I applied 3 OSS notes in my BI system using SNOTE Transaction after BI 7 patch 12. Now I want back to the original state of the system by un doing the 3 OSS notes. My question: Is it possible to undo the applied ossnotes ? If yes please let me know the procedure?

Yes go to snote T code and then press clt+F2... it is available in start screen itself...

Applying OSS note is a critical activity in the system. Usually this task is carried out by the basis, as they maintain the system and the notes, support packs, etc.
A OSS note has potential to impact the system in several ways. So it is better to work with the basis if you need to apply a OSS note to be applied.
Transaction code is Snotes. But pl dont attempt to apply by yourself.
Reg your other question as how to use the OSS note, there is nothing like using aOSS note. Just apply and depending on what the notes do, it may change the config, or download a program or something.

Using T Code SNOTE we can apply the OSS notes.
Also
OSS is Online support system runs by SAP to support the customers.
You can access this by entering OSS1 transaction or visit Service.SAP.Com and access it by providing the user name and password.

IN BW T.Code SNOTE, here you can see all the notes which has been applied.. also u can apply a new note in this T.Code.

Whenever there is a short dump, in section 'How to correct the error' keywords are given so that you can search relevant OSS
Notes.
Best way is to search with the Note Number if you know one. Else, you can search with restriction by giving proper version,
application area, priority, release status etc along with keywords.

I'm facing problem while applying OSS Note 1046758

Hi gurus,
I'm facing problem while applying OSS Note 1046758. That note is asking to create J_1IEWT_ACKN_N table.
After creating the table I went to the UTILITIES menu => TABLE MAINTENANCE GENERATOR.
Then OSS Note 1046758 is asking us to give the function group name as J_1IEFILE.
Next Choose One Step.
and then Find Screen Numbers.
While clicking the CREATE button it is not allowing me to assign the function group group J_1IEFILE.
How to overcome this problem.
Very urgent.
Any answers are welcome and will be rewarded .

I mean, TDS Rate, ECESS Rate and CHENCK NUMBER.
More over, I want the FROM 16A should contain the Higher Education CESS field with values.
any notes has to be applied apart from this or what....
Wht are the table I have to maintain for this in SM30.
Kindly help me... It's urgent...

Hi
go to the tab correction instructions, select the appropriate ref correction depending on your release
Have a look at the object type (MF or program) copy the object name go to se37 or SE38 depending on the object fill the object name and follow the instructions "delete block" or " insert block" to apply the note.

How to find the right OSS Note for my SAP version

Hi All,
There have been issues with the Vendor/Material Master records whenever we run a LSMW by recording process. It is such that all those fields that we have not updated come up with a value as *DELETED* for which i think we should implement a OSS Note to our system.
I am unable to find the right OSS Note Number for this to our SAP system :
SAP_APPL Support Pack: SAPKH50009 Components:Logistics & Accounting.
Request you all to provide me with the correct OSS Note Number so that we can get this issue corrected as this has become very critical.

As Jurgen wrote - it could be some programming problem.
But, generally, if you find a SAP Note, that, in your opinion, can solve your SAP problem and it is not intended for your SAP version - simply write to SAP OSS.
If this note really solves your problem, they will extend the validity of this note for your SAP version.
Otherwise, if it is SAP problem, OSS will try to provide solution for it.
I usually act like this - it works.

By using Service Desk scenario of Solution Manager you can convert an issue to an OSS message and follow it up.

Snote application is also integrated with this Service Desk, you can apply SAP notes to any satellite systems.

No change request created when applying OSS Note

Hi,
I have applied around 3 OSS Notes to my ECC 5.0 system. I got a promt for the change request creation. I have created a new change request and then saved it.
But when I applied the next 2 OSS Notes, i didn't get any prompt to create or select the existing request.
How can I create a change request for this application of OSS Notes and how to transport them to quality if i dont have a request number?

Hi Vijay,
I think this is normal if the objects being changed by the OSS Note are already held in an earlier change request owned by you (or others) and has not been released.
Use transaction SE03 to search for the objects being changed by the OSS Notes (you will get object name in the note itself) and find out which change request is holding the object.
Once you find the change request either unlock it or release it (depending on your company process/policies) and then re-implement the OSS Note.

You can apply the note that you have downloaded through the transaction SNOTE.But it is most important that you go through the steps specified in the note.It will tell you what needs to be done.If there are manual corrections required like changing the parameters then you cannot work with SNOTE.If you have an OSS note id then log onto OSS1 and you will find more info there.

Help needed applying OSS note 981295 in SAP ECC 5.0 with SAP Kernel 640_REL

Our functional team is trying to implement a kind of workflow through a notification via SAP Inbox (transaction code SBWP) after the release of a Purchase Order (Transaction code ME29), this is every time when a purchase order is released through transaction code ME29, a notification will be sent to the SAP Inbox (transaction code SBWP). So according to this they told me to implement OSS note 981295, but using transaction SNOTE I get the message that this note can't be implemented in my system this because my SAP Kernel version is the release 6.40 and the needed SAP Kernel for this note is from version 7.00 to version 7.10. So what do you recommend please in this case in order to implement the required functionality on our SAP ECC 5.0 System?

Note clearly states
This note is only relevant if the following Support Package is installed in the system:
NW04s: Support Package SAPKB70008
Meaning is not relevat to your case. You need to keep looking... if you open an OSS message people from SAP might put you in the right direction.

Applying OSS note 859111

The highest support package for this note in 46C is SAPKH46C50 and in
the system tht i am working it is SAPKH46C45 so will it create any problem while implementing the note? if den how do i overcome tht?

You'll have no problem, apply the note using SNOTE and if at some point in the future support pack 50 is applied it will just replace it with the version in the patch.

In some cases , when objects are not present in Customer systems then SAP will provide objects in difff ways
1.Providing source code with in note as a attechments
2.Providing External trannsport Request, this request as same as ur normal transport requet which consists of CO and Data files.So we have to add these files to out TP buffer , after that we can import all these into ur DEV server and so on.
so ask ur basis person, i think we can give so good idea how this will works.

Want to apply OSS Notes

Hi,
I want to apply the SAP Notes 97098.
Now in this note program ZZTEST00 is mentioned to execute.
But we are not having this program in our system.
What extactly I need to do to get this program in my system.

You will need to create the Program ZZTEST00 in your DEV Client and Transport to your Production Client. Have your ABAPer look at the note and create the program per the note and pay attention to the note towards the bottom. If you have several documents in error, he may want to modify the z Program accordingly.
