I have searched and can find no solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution:
I went into Photoshop>Help>Updates and cehecked to see if I have any updates that I have not yet installed. I did and that has corrected the problem.

Hi Sheldon,
Is your document based on a Page Layout Template?
In Pages, a floor plan is more suited to a Page Layout document (which mimics a drawing app) rather than a Word Processing document.
Here is a document that I created with Template Chooser > Page Layout > Blank.
I added some Shapes and Text Boxes.
'Select All' (command a) selected everything:

Shape button not working in preview made

Hi
I am working on captivate 8 responsive project. I have created button using shape.
But when I publish for preview mode in Mozilla latest browser and found that all slide content disappear.
Also checked with sample responsive project in captivate 8. I found same issue.
Please help me in it.

Smart Shape buttons do not work in Firefox i'm afraid, it will leave the whole slide blank. We've had a good look at trying to find a fix/hack but unfortunately it looks like something Adobe and/or Mozilla need to sort out.

Clear Shape hyperlink not working?

I created a text graphic - I then went and created 8 clear shapes and enabled them as hyperlinks with the inspector and placed these clear shapes over the text graphic. When I check in iWeb, it works perfectly, however when published, the links do not work, as if they are not there.

You will need to make the shapes "almost" clear. Give them an opacity of 1% and that should work.

Pen Tilt for Size Dynamics - not working.

I am using Photoshop CS and a Wacom Intuos3 with updated drivers. (6.1.3-5)
Using Photoshop's brush tool dynamics, I set Size Dynamics to pen tilt - not pressure - yet the pen's pressure still exclusively aff
ects the brush size when drawing.
I would like to have the tilt of the pen control the brush Size, much like using a blunt end of a pencil vs. the sharp tip.
In a separate test, I set the brush Opacity dynamics to pen tilt, and it worked as expected: a near full opacity with a vertical pen
, and almost no opacity with a highly tilted pen. Pressure had no effect, as specified. So, the tilt functionality of the pen defini
tely works.
How can I resolve this issue and get the Wacom pen's Tilt to affect Photoshop's Brush Size Dynamics?

This is a known issue that has plagued PS for many interations. The team has to re-write the code and is not sure when the problem will be corrected so that it will be fully functional. Don't hold your breath for CS5.

Smart Shape Buttons Not Working With Scalable HTML5 (in Captivate 7)

Hey everyone,
first of all: everything was fine with CP 6, but since we upgraded to CP 7, I have troubles with smart shape buttons (exported as scalable(!) HTML5)! This is incredibly annoying.
When a project is exported as scalable HTML5, I cannot click smart shape buttons which I use quite often. I tried Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iOS, ...
When exported as flash or non(!) scalable HTML5, everything works, but it looks horrible on Smartphones – so this is not a solution we can work with.

I'm using a Mac (latest version).
@devices: Android and iOS smartphones and tablets as well as Mac and Windows PCs.

I'm not sure if I get you right, but the project I posted is nearly a blank project (created with CP7). So I think the answer is "yes".

Dynamics not working in 2008 that did work in 4.5

Hi. I have a dashboard originally built in 4.5 that doesn't work properly in 2008. The dashboard has a list box with the regions we have our sales force broken down into with the first region being a conglomeration of all regions called national. In the 4.5 version I can highlight the South East region for example and it gives me a list of salesmen for that region. There are 4 pie charts that show different activities and in 4.5 once you click on South East, the first sales person is automatically highlighted the pie charts all change to reflect his sales figures. I can go to another salesman or region and the sales figures update approriately. If I go back to national all teh charts update appropriately as well. In 2008 when I click on the South East region it shows me a list of salesmen with the first one highlighted but the charts still show the national data. To get the charts to update I need to click on another salesman and then go back to the first one. If I try to go to national the charts never update so once someone clicks off national they can never get the charts back for it unless they close and reopen the file. The old dashboard would not open in 2008 so I had to rebuild it manually. Evrything appears identical but I could easily have missed something. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the functionality working normally again?

yes, i think apple really needs to address this issue. i dont know if they havent made the iphone 4 fully backwards compatible with older bluetooth hardware, but my infiniti FX45 is only a 2008.
bluetooth cuts out all the time, goes back and forth between the radio and the phone, and is completely unreliable. i have the latest iOS installed.
basically cant use bluetooth hands free at all in my car anymore. my iphone 3g and 3gs did okay, didnt have this problem. what gives?
first the antenna problem, and now this. common apple... dont make me go buy a droid.

Keyboard shortcut for star shape does not work - arrow keys

I need to use the star shape to make a sort of badge with many points.
In the past, I've used the star shape and held up arrow or down arrow to change the number of points on the star. This no longer works for me in Adobe Illustrator CS4 (on a Windows Vista). Did this shortcut change? All my other keyboard shortcuts work. I tried resetting the preference file for Illustrator just in case, but it didn't fix it.

I have found a work-around for this problem, although it's a bit annoying.
I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and encountered the same problem with establishing the number of points on a star. I tried everything and noticed it worked sometimes. Well, turns out that it will work only once after changing the settings for your pen. I just moved the tip feel setting leaving the pen tablet properties window open, went to illustrator and the arrow keys worked. If you try drawing the shape again, it won't work. You have to go back to the pen tablet properties window and move or change something, go back to illustrator and it works again. It's a little annoying, but if you're used to using the arrow keys to create shapes, it's handy to know it's there.

Marquee tool and shape tool not working properly

I have Photoshop CS five, and today while working in it, the behavior of all of my tools changed.
Tools are now defaulting to “select from center” mode, which normally requires holding down the option key.
As another clue, if I create a marquee selection, as soon as I release the mouse button the Marquis tool switches to “intersect with selection” mode.
I quit Photoshop and deleted all of my Adobe Photoshop preferences, however when I relaunched Photoshop the problem was still there.
I thought maybe my option key was stuck down, but when I tried typing in stickies, characters typed normally, so my option key is not stuck in the down position.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I actually spent some time with Adobe tech support working on the problem. You are correct it was a bug; they had me update my Photoshop AND delete this file from my preferences folder: com.adobe.Photoshop.plist — those two things did the trick.

Shape tools not working

Hello. Just got a new MacBook Pro (had it for a week) and fresh install of Photoshop CS5. For some reason, I cannot draw anything on the canvas. My mouse cursor has a little black rectangle to the right of it. It stays this way when I hover over any toolbar icon.
For example, I'll click on the ellipse tool and when I move my mouse to the canvas, the cursor does not change. When I try to drag a circle on the canvas, it just shows the default rectangle outline as if I wanted to select an object (hope that makes sense).
Please help. This is driving me crazy.

We're working with Apple on correcting the issue. Best bet is to use Jesper's utility until there's an update.

Fill a closed path after shape tool not working?

I draw a shape with the paths option using the shape tool,
ive selected and highlighted a visible normal layer at full opacity in normal blend mode.
right click the path and choose fill path... I have a colour selected already,
nothing happens...?

Thanks Paulo, that was it, only the icon at bottom of paths palette works.
here`s my workflow and settings.
1. draw path.
(the subtract to path option only activated when I made this screen capture due to pressing ALT3 for my screencap shortcut).
2. right click choose"fill path.." this option doesn`t work on empty or transparent pixels.
2. continued, settings are correct, but no fill results.
3. Try a stroke first. right click fill stroke... that works.
4. seems if you fill with stroke first, then right click, and choose fill path... then the fill will work, but only where there are pre existing pixels.
5. the fill path option at bottom of path panel overcomes this problem. however it may be a bug with right clicking and filling the path on empty or transparent layer space.
I`m on CS5 anyone had same result on CS6 ?

Illustrator shape tool not working properly.

Hello. I am not quite sure how to word this. Whenever I try to use the basic shapes took (ellipse, rectangle, etc), I end up with mutiple shapes. I am trying to draw a circle and instead of one circle, Illustrator creates several. Has anyone encountered this problem before? I need help ASAP.

Your Tilde key ( ~ ) is stuck, or at least Illy thinks it is. Unless you have a non US keyboard, in which case it is another key. Here are a few known keys on different other keyboards:
UK: ' (just below the @, to the left of Enter, at least in CS6),
Icelandic and German: < (just to the right of Shift),
French (only Mac): £,
Norwegian and Danish: æ (just to the right of L)
If she is wrong and it is unstuck, you may try the list to convince her.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media, see below. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

What is going on with the new version of Illustrator? Just upgraded the last update and ever since scaling effects on basic shapes is not working at all!! so frustrated!!

I cannot even scale a basic logo forms without the shape widths changing all different. Yes, I restarted the program and restarted my computer.

CS6 color pallet, brushes, and shapes not working.

I have been having issues with my shape tool not working at all a message pops up saying that "Cannot use tool due to program error," but does not give an error code, then the same thing started happening with my brush tools and the color pallet will not switch colors unless I close the program even then it's 50/50 that the colors switch. I recently uninstalled then re-installed Photoshop CS6 and it is still happening. I have noticed that Kaspersky Security 2013 keeps blocking the Raw Camera updates, could it be messing up the entire program or is this an internal CS6 program issue. Please help I want to get back to my artwork I'm so far behind.

User preferences survive un-install and re-install and are often the cause of Photoshop problems. You also provide very like pertinent information other the you have problems use CS6 which is the buggiest version of Photoshop ever released. I could not use ir fir the first five month that I had ir. It took Adobe that long to fix some of the bugs the were biting. The First update fixed 506 core issues according to Adobe Blog. You Also noted the security programs cause problems with updates. Adobe suggest turning off such security when updating. When Adobe puts out useless error message like failed because of program error you need to see if you can reproduce the error is a repeatable way to help point to what is causing the error.
First try resetting you Photoshop Preferences. When Photoshop start acting up the is one of the first thing to try before resorting to re-install. Adoeb evet has a start-up shortcut key to reset your preferences Shift+Ctrl|CND+Alt|Option
