Share 2 iCloud calendars with Outlook PC

Hi, firstly my set up:
Home computer:
Mac running  OSX 10.8.2
iCal 6.0 (or is just called 'Calendar these days - I'll call it iCal for short )
Work computer:
PC running Win7
Outlook 2007
iCloud Control Panel installed, and configured using my existing iCloud account
Phone/mobile:
Me - iPhone, iPad
wife: iPhone
Desired use case:
I have my work diary, managed from my PC, viewable (and editable) from my iPhone, iPad, iCal (locally on Mac), and I have my 'Personal' diary on iCal
I've also set up a 'Family Diary', the purpose of which is for my wife and I to enter all events that we both need to be aware of, mainly evening and weekend events.
I have set up the 'Family Diary' to be shared with my wife and also my work e-mail address as I need to be able to view the Family Diary, and ideally add/edit it from within Outlook
It works fine with my wife's iPhone and her instance of iCal across 2 Macs
Problem:
When I set up my iCloud Control Panel on my PC and select Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, only the 'Personal' diary shows in Outlook.
If I send a share invite from my Mac to my work e-mail address, I get an invite to 'Join' the Family Diary but this links through to my iCloud webpage and I'm told I can't join a calendar I'm sharing.
I also notice that within my 'Personal in iCloud' calendar in Outlook if I enter an event here it does not show up in iCal or on my iPhone. I see the events entered in iCal in Outlook, but not the other way around
Question (x2)
How to I get the Family Diary visable and editable in Outlook?
Does the iCloud Control Panel allow for editing a iCal diary within Outlook, or only really view events created in OS X or iOS?
Many thanks - I'm kinda tearing my hair out with this

UPDATE: the item entered into my Personal iCloud calendar in Outlook has just appeared on my iPhone. So it looks like the sync is 2 way.
However the main issue - having my Family Diary visible and editable in Outlook - very much remains

  • How do I sync multiple iCloud calendars with outlook

I am running Outlook 2007 (not exchange) on a PC and want to sync multiple (3-4) iCloud calendars with Outlook. Currently I am syncing only one and works great, but I am having a terrible time on setting up additional iCloud Calendars. Any suggestions?

    Diesel -
    First, Thanks for responding!!!
Second, I've got it syncing with one, and only one, of the calendars so I know that it can. The question that I have is if there is a way to sync with multiple calendars and if so how do I do it. I've got the one working by having iCloud sync with one of my calendars in outlook and my phone sync with iCloud. Does anyone have an idea how to accomplish this?

do you mean, the 'Publish' option? That only gives me two options 1 mobile me, which is now defunct. and 2 a private server, which I don't understand. thanks!
sorry, after a further read, the comment was about icloud not ical. I don't have icloud because I don't have Lion because it doesn't work well with FCP7. So I don't know how to share my ical. Can you help?

  • Syncing iCloud Calendar with Outlook for Mac (new Outlook)

Does anyone know if it's possible to sync your iCloud Calendar with Outlook for Mac yet (Outlook for Mac is the new Outlook that comes with Microsoft Office 365)? If so, how do you do it?
I've done some research on this question, and most of the responses are a few years old... wanted to see if anything has changed since. I find it weird how I can sync my iCloud Calendar with Outlook 2013 on my PC, but not with Outlook for Mac on my Mac--which is practically the same thing.
    Thanks ahead of time!

    Greetings kipp0606,
If you would like to use iCloud mail in an email client, you may want to review the following article. It contains the mail server settings you'll need to set it up:
iCloud: Mail server settings for email clients - Apple Support
Use these mail server settings if you need to manually set up your email app (client) to use an iCloud email account.
Do you need these mail server settings?
You can use the mail server settings in this article to manually set up your email app to send and receive email with an iCloud email account. However, you shouldn't need to do that if you meet the iCloud system requirements and can use any of these setup methods:
OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later: Use iCloud Preferences.
Microsoft Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2010 or later: Use iCloud for Windows.
iOS 7 or later: Use iCloud settings.
If you're using the Mail app in OS X Snow Leopard v10.6, use the mail server information in the iCloud Mail setup instructions for Snow Leopard instead of the settings below.Mail server settings
Refer to your email app's documentation for information about how to use these settings. iCloud Mail uses the IMAP and SMTP standards supported by most modern email apps. iCloud does not support POP.

    Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP information for the outgoing mail server

    SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS or STARTTLS instead.

  • Syncing iCloud Calendar with Outlook 2007

    Hi
Trying to sync my iCloud calendar with my Outlook 2007 one and can't seem to do it. I have gone to the iCloud thing in the control panel and asked it to sync there but it doesn't. Afraid I'm not very good with computers, but what I have is a calendar on outlook which I use for work and one on the icloud calender which I use for personal things, and what I would like would be to view everything on my icloud calender and everything on my outlok calendar, but still enter things seperatly onthe two calendars.
    Does this make sense?
    Thanks

    Hello, John!
I see that you are not having and issue with the syncing between your computer and iCloud.  So we would need to look into the device settings to make sure all settings mirror what is set in the iCloud Control Panel.  I have included a couple articles that will assist you in troubleshooting your iPhone 5.  See the sections in the articles below referring to your iOS devices.

  • Can I share an icloud calendar with a person who has no apple id?

As soon as I switched to iCloud my shared mobile me calendar no longer updated.  It appears that to now share, all parties must be an iCloud subscriber.  The person with whom I share this calendar is not an Apple user and has no interest in acquiring an iCloud account.    She does, however, need to view my calendar.  Are there steps I am missing to allow her to view the calendar in either outlook, or using a web based format as was available before the change?
    Thanks!

I didn't explain correctly. Right now I share (subscribe) a calendar on Mobile Me , in addition to my own personal calendar. That shared calendar is staying on Mobile Me and I need to be able to access it once I move my personal calendar to iCloud. That is, if I use iCloud can I share calendars that are not on iCloud, but are on MobileMe?
You can't do this: when you migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud the calendars will be transferred there and no longer available on MobileMe.
You can share calendars privately or publicly from iCloud: private calendars can only be viewed by nominated iCloud members; public calendars can be viewed by anybody in a CalDAV client such as iCal or Google Calendar (though they are non-editable).

  • Can you share an icloud calendar with someone using gmail?

I manage all my calendars on icloud and want to share one of them with my partner, who uses gmail and android phone. The events do not show up on his phone. This is because its not possible to do this or because we are doing something wrong?

You can only share a read/write calendar with another iCloud member. You can share a read-only calendar with a non-member: the recipient can subscribe to it in iCal. Just get them to open an iCloud account if they have Lion on their Mac.

  • Can't share my iCloud calendars with 30 boxes

Was using 30 boxes to post my iCloud calendars to my website (as a former Apple employee, I get that certain features have to be worked out; but really not being able to host calendars on a webpage or share with google for years is just plain sad...especially when it's for such petty reasons) for quite some time with no problems. After I updated to Yosemite, I re-organized my calendars and realized they were no longer updating to my 30boxes calendar. I tried to re-sync them, but now 30boxes won't recognize any of the webcal links. As I use this calendar on my business' website it's caused major confusion with my staff and I'm trying to desperately get my calendar back up without having to switch entirely to google calendar.
I'd love to be able to ask 30boxes about this, but they have no support forum and it seems likely that this is one in a long line of iCloud compatibility issues. I heard about 30boxes on this forum (sadly it was the closest thing to a fix anyone here has been able to point to for a lot of Apple's calendar problems) so I'm hoping others here have a work around, or maybe another 3rd party site I can use? I really don't care how, I just want to share my calendars with the my non-macintosh employees easily.

  • How do i sync icloud calendar with outlook on macbook air

i have a new macbook air and my calendar is on iCloud for all my other devices. i would like to be able to see the calendar in outlook (office 365)

Upgrade to Lion.  Snow Leopard doesn't have iCloud support.

  • Can I sync my iCloud calendar with Outlook 365?  I upgraded from Office 2010 and now it doesn't sync.

I upgraded from Outlook 2010, and now it doesn't update in Outlook 365.  Thinking I can't do it, and it's a pity, cause I want it all to integrate on phone and on desktop.  I'm running Windows 7 and Office 365.  The iCloud app works fine with Internet Explorer, but I can't get the calendar to update.  Any suggestions?

Can't I just set up Exchange as one of my calendars in ical?
Only if you're running Snow Leopard and your employer will allow access (different than iPhone/mobile device access, so most likely not), but not needed - keep reading.
Is it really true that I have to choose between syncing Exchange with work server OR syncing iCal with personal Macbook?
No. It was true, but with the v3.0 software that changed - you can now sync your Exchange contacts and calendar over the air, and your Address Book and iCal via iTunes over the docking cable.
What is the best work around for this?
None needed. When you set up the exchange account, and choose to turn on syncing of contacts and calendars, you will be prompted to remove all other data, or keep it on the iPhone. Choose the keep option. Note that in that case, your personal data will not be uploaded to the Exchange server - the iPhone keeps them separate (although you can choose to view them in a merged fashion).
I have this set up on my phone (Exchange calendar along side personal and other calendars from iCal). Same for contacts. Works great.

  • Share calendar with Outlook

    Hi there,
I currently share an iCloud calendar with my wife. We call this our 'Family Diary' and this is what we use to put non work events in that effect us both, ie if one of us has a weekend meet up with friends, or one of the kids has a party to go to etc. I'd like to be able to have the diary avaialble on my Mac at work, but in Outlook.
I have a number of other subscribed calendars that I have been able to set up via OWA, but the iCloud one is being awkward.
At the moment I have the Shared Calendar set up to share with my wife (she is also an iCloud user). When I go to iCloud on the web I check the box that says 'make public' and am presented with a URL. I've kept the 'share with other iCloud users' checked, and my wife's e-mail address is still there. But when I set up a new calendar in OWA the URL does not pull any data in. This is the same set up as other subscribed calendars, all of which work OK.
Any ideas as to what's going wrong?
    Thanks

The following manual workaround seems to function:
Configure your Apple Mail client to connect to your Outlook/Exchange account
Select Apple Calendar as the default calendar
Configure iCloud as you normally would
At whatever interval you choose open Apple Mail and synch your mail/appointments.
    Shazam!!! iCloud is automatically updated
