Share Configuration Manager Entries between WebDynpro and EJB

Hi there,
I have an annoying problem: I would like to have a WebDynpro as full-blown configuration interface for my EJBs. As steted in the docu, it is not possible to share configurations between applications.
With EJB and Web Modules I would just place them in the same Enterprise Application. But I cannot as WebDynpro projects to enterprise applications (as far as I know).
Does anyone have a clou about I could manage this issue?
Thanks!
helge

Hi Maksim,
at the link you've provided it is described how to use the Configuration Manager within an EJB Module.
My Problem is that I want to use it from an WebDynpro Application. But there I don't have a META-INF\application-j2ee-engine.xm to configure the dependency.
This itself is not a problem since you can also access the Configuration Manager via JNDI.
My problem now is that the EJB Module (more precise the enterprise application where the EJB Module is included) needs to share the configurtion with the Dynpro. But vi JNDI you only get the ApplicationConfigurationManager - which is application specific.
So the question is how I could share the configuration between WebDynpro and EjbModule...

  • Configuring JMS Bridges between COM and SOM

    Hi,
We started working on OSM 7.0.2 and I have a question about the configuration of JMS Bridges between COM and SOM.
When COM and SOM Cartridges are installed in the same OSM instance on non-cluster env., it is mandatory to configure JMS Bridges between COM and SOM?
If it is case, could you please detail the procedure to follow?
In the document called "Application Integration Architecture Order-to-Activate Cartridge Guide Release 7.0.2 E18005-01" it is not obvious to understand. If you have a look in the table 2-1 page 2-15, I don't see all the mandatory field values to create a new destination bridges (for instance, what is the value of destination JNDI name?). Does anyone configure this part in the setting up OSM to the Order-to-Activate Solution?
    Best regards.

The COM-SOM bridge is only required when COM and SOM are deployed on separate osm server instances and AIA Emulators are deployed (on both) for development/demo/quick testing purposes.
In QA/SIT/PRODUCTION environments, OSM should be integrated via AIA, this means that all participant applications ( CRM , OSM-COM, OMS-SOM, BRM ) should be using queue bridges (or SAF in 7.0.3)

  • Is there is any way to find the data transfer from client to Configuration Manager for health monitoring and hardware Inventory

    Hi
Can Configuration Manager provide a way to find the data transfer from client to Configuration Manager for health monitoring and hardware Inventory. How can I know what amount of data is consumed during that process

Place archive_reports.sms in %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\ for both 64-bit and 32-bit computers.
There are two situations where you can use this depending on the type of client:
    1. To keep inventory reports on a client (that is not an MP), create the following file:
    %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
    2. To keep inventory reports on a MP (that is also a client), create the following file:
    <x>:\sms_ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
The XML file will be saved in the inventory\temp folder.

    Define "better".
    They're actually pretty similar.
If you use Hibernate instead of EJB3 you don't need a full-blown Java EE app server. You can deploy apps on a servlet/JSP engine or on the desktop.

  • Nd help configuring JMS Bridges between COM and SOM

We skip the JMS Bridge between SOM and COM because we deploy the O2A cartridge using the:
    - When Central Order Management and Service Order Management Exist in the Same
OSM Instance in a Non-Cluster Environment.
    - Customer and Service Order Management in the Same OSM Instance
"Deploy the following cartridges through Design Studio for the simple fulfillment
    topology"
Now what happening is: the flow of the order taking time before it was completed or need manually submit the task using oms-automation user.
But even with the above work around we cannot see the billing data in BRM.
UpdateSalesOrderSiebelCommsProvABCSImpl (v. 1.0) this is the last BPEL process we see in BPEL.
FulfillBillingFunction.BRM-ALL.BundleGranularity.FulfillBillingSignificantUpdates is the last Activity we can see in osmwebui if not manually update the task.
Then ProvisionOrderSIResponseTask is the current task in osm task web client where order state is In-Progress.
With that it seems the SOM is not processing.
Do you have any idea why we can't complete the order and see the billing data in BRM?
Is'it the COM and SOM not properly configured, or have some issue with other application(RODOD)?
    Thanks,
    Ace

    Hi All,
This issue already resolve by configuring the routing in AIA.

  • Wht is the difference between hibernate and EJB 3.0

What are the main features differences in Hibernate and EJB3.0. What one should we prefer to use. Can some one provide me links to work and learn on these two technologies in depth.

    Hello all,
Apart from what we are discussing above there is one more intresting feature which allows to work with any database without modifying the code, this is becuase of hibernate layer in application. Hibernate sits in between you application's logic and database, and you access your database with the help of objects (POJO) and write the data accesing queries in Object form(HQL - Hibernate Query Language) which is indepened of all database. whenever you want to chage your backed database just change the configuration files(hibernate.cfg.xml) and you are done. Isnt is cool feature, you dont need to worry about the underlying database.

  • Credit Management: Difference Between Static and Dynamic Credit Check

    Hi,
Could anyone tell the difference Between Static and Dynamic Credit Check?
According to website: http://www.sap-basis-abap.com/sd/difference-between-static-and-dynamic-credit-check.htm ... this is the answer:
    ====================
    Simple Credit Check : Tr.Code - FD32
It Considers the Doc.Value + Open Items.
Doc.Value : Sales Order Has been saved but not delivered
Open Item : Sales Order has been saved , Delivered, Billed & Transfered to FI, but not received the payment from the customer.
Static Credit Check it checks all these doc value & check with the credit limit
    1) Open Doc.Value / Sales Order Value : Which is save but not delievered
    2) Open Delivery Doc.Value : Which is delivered but not billed
    3) Open Billing Doc.Value : Which is billed but not posted to FI
    4) Open Item : Which is transfered to FI but not received from the customer.
Dynamic Credit Check         1) Open Doc
                                                2) Open Delivery
                                                3) Open Billing
                                                4) Open Items
                                                5) Horizon Period = Eg.3Months
Here the System will not consider the above 1, 2, 3 & 4 values for the lost 3 months.
    ====================
Question 1: Could you further explain the above information, if there is any?
Question 2:: What is the Tcode to customize settings of:
    a) Simple Credit Check (isn't this same with b) below?)
    b) Static Credit Check
    c) Dynamic Credit Check

    Hi Tanish,
Diff between Static and Dynamic Filters.
    Example One at report Level.
Create a variable for a Infoobject say ,Material .
1)In the Query Designer and if u restrict it to some 10 materials at query level, the report will display for only those 10 materials only. This is Static Filter.UR AHrdcoding it to those materials. You cant change them at Query Run time.i.e not changeable by user.
2)If u give the variable as input ,and when u run the query ,u can can choose the material, may 10 may be 1 or may 20 .It is dynamic.Changeable by user at run time
Example Two at DTP and Start Routine Level, say Document Type.
1)If u give filters in Start routine it is Static as u cannot change it in Production, not changeable by user.
2)f u give filters in DTP it is Dyanamic as u can change it in Production.U can give any doc type,Changeable by user at run time.
    Hope it is Understood.

  • Login pattern between Web and EJB

    Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the best pattern to setup my web login system.
(Login page in JSP-JSF and then user right).
I know the J2EE pattern for communication between presentation and business tier as such as Business Delegate, Session Facade, Application Service, ...
    But,
How do i have to implement to login check in my session bean ?
How is keept the information about the current user (webSession or statefull bean) ?
Anyway, is anyone can give me an exmaple of a typical implementation.
    Thank.

    Check out the InterceptingFilter pattern.
That's the way to check if the user is logged into the system.
But, i also would like to know, the best way to login the user,
The action to do when the user submit the login page.
One current practice is to store an object in the sessionScope of the Web presentation tier (for web, in my case) .
So, i think about one way :
I've got an entity Bean which represent the User Access for the application so that any kind of client use the same User Access.
Can i write a method in my SessionBean (SessionFacade pattern) to get the
transfert object representing the User an store this transfert object into the sesionScope ?
(So, if the return is null, that's wrong login ).
My SessionFacade would have an method like the following :
       public UserTo loginUser (String login, String password) throws RemoteException {
    } Thank's

  • SSO between WebDynpro and Servlet on the same machine

    Hi,
I have an WebDynpro application running in our portal which makes some calls using RFC to a backend system. The RFC connection is obtained using DestinationService and SAP Logon Ticket is used for authentication.
This app should call a servlet on the same instance which also uses RFC to get some data from the backend.
Now, wenn I call the servlet from the WebDynpro, the exception java.lang.IllegalStateException: No SAP logon ticket found comes up. Does anyone have an idea how to configure the servlet-webapp to accept logon tickets?
    Thanks in advance

this must mean that your windows drive is formatted NTFS. NTFS drives are not natively writable from OS X (only readable). However, you can install Macfuse and [NTFS-3g|http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com> (both are free) to make them writable.

  • Inconsistent entries between driver_aliases and path_to_inst

    Hi,
I see the following in my solaris intel box.
    bash-2.03# grep iprb /etc/driver_aliases
    iprb "pci8086,1229"
    iprb "pci8086,1029"

    "/pci@0,0/pci8086,100c@6" 0 "iprb"
    bash-2.03#
100c is the inte pro/1000 gig NIC and 1229/1029 are pro/100 fast ethernet NICs.
    The following are my questions:
    1. How can iprb bind to 100c when the aliases do not exist for it?
    2. The iprb is actually binding to the pro/100 NIC(I know this since I can ssh into the box etc, pro1000 card has no connectivity). Does this mean the what ever is in path_to_inst cannot be trusted?
    3. After solaris boots, how do we know what NIC is bound to which driver(assuming a case when we different NICs managed by different drivers.)
    4. What the contention resolution algorithm for driver binding. In other words what does solaris do when more then one driver says it can manage a particular device.
    any help is greatly appreciated,

ps: BTW, everytime I reboot I do a reconfiguration reboot so that path_to_inst gets updated.

will create /etc/path_to_inst entries for each LUN, for each TARGET, for each LPFC instance. Normally it's not a problem. In my case I have 44 Emulex LPFC instances, a TON of targets (an average of 1.5 per FA<->HBA mappings) and a TON of LUNS.
    # of HBA(lpfc) x total # of Lun ((sum of lpfc lun/target) + sum of scsi lun/target)) ~ 32,767
Anyway, by using the hba="..." format in the sd.conf file, we were able to eliminate all of the extra /etc/path_to_inst entries created. This reduced the "sd" entries in /etc/path_to_inst to just over 3,000. Example
    name="sd" parent="lpfc" target=33 hba="lpfc17" lun=123;
If the instance numbers on my HBA's ever change, I'm in trouble. Of course, this could have been avoided with the latest lpfc driver, or by using leadvill because they don't require entries in sd.conf.
    Thanks to all who assisted.

  • How can I do to share the array elements between "C" and "Java"

    Hi,all
I want to implement the function about this: c and java between JNI can share the same data area. For example, when change the value of the array in java, i can get the same value in c.
I use the function:Xxx* GetXxxArrayElements(JNIEnv env, jarray array, jboolean isCopy)
But i find that the "isCopy" is JNI_TRUE which means that i get the pointer which point to a copy,so i can't get the change
    in Java later.
    How can I do?Can i set "isCopy" with JNI_FALSE??
    Thank u.

No, you can't. isCopy is of type jboolean*, and the value is just set by the call to inform you whether the data was copied or not, but you cannot infulence that.
In fact, the VM might store an array of primitives in a different way as C, and this routine has to convert between the two representations. In this case copying is always required.
