Share information from chip GPS to PC with USB or BLUETOOTH

Hi!
I want know if it's possible connect my iphone to my pc with USB or BLUETOOTH, to share information from the gps chip as a tethering mode.

Hello Sir!
After weeks of testing, i found the solution of my question. It´s quiet simply!!
1º iPhone (3G Internet acess) connected to Mac mini by USB or BlueTooth or WiFi.
2ª in Mac mini must be activated in "Preferencias", "Compartir", the option "Compartir Internet",
"Compartir Conexión desde":   iPhone USB  or  Bluetooth PAN
     "Con otros Ordenadores vía":  Ethernet
3º Ethernet cable must be connected from Mac mini to Time Capsule !!
4º In Time Capsule "Internet":  connect by:  DHCP
                             "Network": bridged
Nothing more!!!  Sooooo simply!!
After this, Windows XP SP3 connect without problem over TC´s WiFi or Ethernet to the Internet!
Also other Devices like IPad, or other iPhone, etc.
Of course it can be a created a WiFi connection (PPP) between the iPhone and the Mac
and it´s working to.
But ALWAYS, by changing the connection mode, must be changed the Thethering mode.
In- and Out-Going!
Thank you for your help, no I made me a "small" TC expert...lol

  • Getting data from PB HD to MBP with usb cable

I have attached an ata to usb cable from my PowerBook G3 firewire with OS X (10.2.8) HD to the MBP and the MBP is not recognizing it. I an hear the HD spinning. Is there a specific place I should be looking other than the desktop? Any other help?

If this option is better, you could put the drive back into the PowerBook and hook it up to the MBP with a firewire cable tethered between them; restart the powerbook and hold down the "T" key until you see the firewire symbol appear on the powerbook's screen and you should get into Firewire Target Disk Mode which in effect makes the powerbook an external firewire drive. The drive then should appear on the MBP's desktop...
If putting the drive back into the PB more work than installing it into aan enclosure, then yes, I'd try the firewire enclosure.
    Good luck.

  • HP ENVY 6t has many issues with USB headphone, Bluetooth and more serious issue

HP ENVY 6t doesn't work with USB headphone, unfortunately. could u let me know how to fix it?
Bluetooth mouse has been working for a day, it suddenly stopped working. Having checked the PC bluetooth connection, which said "Working properly".   Could you let me know how to re-connect, or re-work?
"Not complete shut-down" blue screen issue right after receiving the HP PC when I closed display to be in sleep mode.
I see the "Safe mode" "...." or "Normal mode" screen always.
The HP PC is not stable UNFORTUNATELY.
Even if just brand new HP PC, there seems to be many issues.

I would recommend using this document for your mouse: http://goo.gl/XDRRy
And using this document to troubleshoot your headphones issue: http://goo.gl/hV9fu
Most of the time with USB headphones, you have to download the driver from the manufacturer before they will work properly.

  • Tethering impact on battery with USB vs Bluetooth

Assuming an on-the-go scenario with the MBA and an iPhone4, if I want to use tethering which one would be more battery friendly for the MBA: USB or Bluetooth tethering?
My instinct tells me BT, since the MBA would not be trying to charge the iPhone with the USB cable. But not sure how much power the BT radio uses.
    Thoughts?

    Hi
Interesting question. I had considered using tethering with my iphone, however in the end I opted for the USB dongle option instead. My main thinking was twofold:
    1) I didn't want to have to be reliant on my iphone being fully charged. Although it rarely happens, I do get caught out sometimes (e.g. when travelling and forgetting the charger cable). With a USB dongle, you don't have to worry about that.
    2) I deliberately selected a USB dongle on a different network to that of my Iphone. If I can't get a good signal on one network, there is a chance I might be fine on the other.
The other thing to consider is the impact on your iphone battery with tethering. I would imagine the simultaneous data transfer and bluetooth operation would impact the battery charge quite a bit. Has anyone got any experience of this?

  • I got a new macbook and my old laptop was stolen. How do I get the information from my iphone to sync with the new macbook without the old computer and without wiping my phone?

I'm seriously distressed because I don't want to have to delete my music and I don't want to have to pay a lot of additional money to sync with an outside program. Please help.

You can restore from your backup. You do have backups, right?

  • How to share information from the airport to different users on macbook air

How do I access the information stored on our airport?  It is connected to one user, and other users need the information that is on it.  I've tried to access it and it says I need a password.  How is that setup?

The AirPort is a wireless Internet router. I am assuming that the information you are referring to is data stored on a hard drive attached to either an AirPort Extreme or the internal hard drive of a Time Capsule. Is either of these correct?
If so, please check out the following Apple Support article on how to access these drives from either a Mac or PC.

  • How to share files from iMac to MacBook Pro thru USB

I would like to network my new MacBook pro to my iMac with a USB connection. I want to transfer files from my iMac to the MacBook. I have the cable connected, but don't know how to have the two computers "link".
    Please advise.

When you log into a Mac, no matter from where, you must log in as a user on that Mac (although you can log in as guest, if the sharing preferences are set correctly).
So, when you try to connect to one or the other Mac, are you logging in as a user on that Mac? Does that user have access to the files you are trying to share?
If you have a userA on MacA and userB on MacB, If you try to connect to MacA from B, you must log in using credentials of userA. Then, you'll have access to anything userA has access to.
You can also create Sharing Only users in the Sharing Preferences when you share out a folder. Just select New Person when you add people to the sharing list. You can then log into that Mac with that username and password and it will give you access to the folders allowed for that user.

    Hi,
I have the problem with HP pavilion 15-r060tu...
I'm missing Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller and Ethernet Controller...
i have switch os from by default ubantu to Windows 7 32 bit and
i got all drivers support but I cannot find usb controller them anywhere so
facing some problems with bluetooth drivers also.

No configuration or modification of system files is required. If the USB Bluetooth dongle is Mac compatible, just plug it in and open the Bluetooth system preferences pane.
Not all USB Bluetooth dongles are fully Mac compatible.

  • TS3988 Failing to receive information from iPhone using iCloud

I have recenlty upgraded my MacBookPro to Lion (10.7.4) and set up iCloud as I have iOS 5 on iPhone. However, I cannot get the information from my iPhone to sync with my computer using iCloud on iCal or Contacts etc, although the reverse does work - ie. from computer to iPhone.   Have checked settings on iphone - all of which are on.  Can anyone please help.

Yes.  If you delete a photo from "My Photo Stream" in your iPhoto LIbrary on your Mac it will be removed from the iCloud server and be removed from all your devices.
Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on your iPhone?  If so go to icloud.com, sign in, go to Find My Phone.  If the phone is on and connected you can eirther lock it or erase it. You an find out more on that in the iPhone fourm as TD suggested.

  • Migrate to 11" Airbook from a Macbook Pro, both with 10.8.4

The Airbook has no ethernet  cable socket [ just USB 3 ports and the Thunderbolt]  so before I fire the Airbook up for the first time would welcome some ideas on how to go about it.
The only 3rd party stuff  on the Pro is MS Office for the Mac, which I dont want migrated.
    Thanks.

    Hey qazxsw52,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are gearing up to migrate from your MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Air. The following resource provides several ways of utilizing migration assistant, including Time Machine and Wi-FI migration:
How to use Migration Assistant to transfer files from another Mac
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889
There are several ways to transfer information from one computer to another with Migration Assistant:
    - FireWire or ThunderBolt (if your Mac has these ports)
    - Wireless (Wi-Fi) or Ethernet (if your Mac has an Ethernet port or adapter)
    - Time Machine backup or other disk
    Enjoy your new MacBook Air!

It may because you have iCloud and On your Mac views set up.
    Let's work with Contacts....
    1.  Open Contacts
    2.  Preferences
    3.  Accounts
Does your screen look like this?
