Share library without sharing credit card access??

iTunes virgin asking here...
I want to share my library with my teenager but would like her to be able to make purchases with her gift cards, but not have free access to my credit card.
How do I go about setting this up? We have separate laptops.

I'm trying to create an Apple ID for some elderly folks that want something as simple as checking the weather and potentially other free apps but at no point can I create an account without a credit card, an idea that's very bad for folks that are not at all technically savvy.
Various guides suggest there's a 'none' option for payment type if you attempt to create the account with the need to obtain a free app in the app store but this option does not exist, we only have three credit card options. If I change to USA, I have more options like Paypal but none of them is 'none'. Also tried the UK, still didn't work.
Can anyone advise me as to how we can 'review terms' without entering a credit card? It's difficult for me to explain they can't do as much as they want to do with their new $400+ purchase because they need to use their credit card for authorization.

I'd be surprised if the info that you've just been given about gift cards or credit cards is correct, iTunes gift cards aren't available in a lot of countries (and they are country-specific) and a lot of people don't have credit cards - they'd effectively be preventing a lot of people form having accounts.

Yes I did, I have two apple ID's, one which I created only yesterday this is the one which I do not want my credit card details on.
So I signed out of my existing account (tried this in itunes store and app store, on my mac and ipod touch) then signed in with new ID, can't get past the credit card request. I don't get the none option, on the touch i don,t get the pop up scrolling window with all the options.

I don't have credit cards because I don't want the debt or interest rates associated with them. I have several apple devices at my house for myself and my son. No, it doesn't work that way. The iTunes Store and the Mac App Store are the same account. The iTunes Store and the Mac App Store are actually the same store, just accessed with different apps. What you see as the payment options in one are the same in the other as you can see from my account viewed from both apps.

Just go and buy an iTunes gift card at any store in your country.
Then follow all the steps you did, but when it asks you for the credit card number, there shoujld be a GIFT CARD option which will let you load your account witht eh funds form the gift card without providing a credit/debit card #.

Just go get a prepaid Visa or something. Put a small amount of money on it and then use that to open an account. If that doesnt work just call them. Contacting Apple for Support and Service 1 800 275-2273
