Share Music with Spouse on her iPhone, using different iTune Acct

Is it possible to share music that I have purchased, and in my itunes with my wife on her device without using iTunes Match?  She has her own iTunes account.  I have tried to sign in to my account on her computer.  Does my music have to be in the cloud to share with her?  HOW???

Well, that is your call. My husband and I both have separate Macs, but our shared music library is on his Mac, and (with the exception of our Photos), everything that I sync to is on his Mac.
You can copy her music to your computer, and set up her sync to only sync with Music on your computer, and then set up her computer to sync all of her other stuff. If you wanted to do that, you would just copy all of her music to the library on your computer, and when her device is hooked up to your computer, you would only have the "Sync Muisc" tab turned on for her.
You then go in and create playlists with whatever songs you want in them (you can create as many or as few playlists as you want), and then on her Music tab (on your computer), you would check which Playlists you want to sync to her device.
As for her other stuff, you would make sure that all of the other tabs on your computer for her device were not checked, so they did not attempt to sync. On her computer, you would make sure everything except the Music tab was checked.....
Here's a quick tutorial on how to create playlists:

Hope this helps!

Can we share music/apps within a family while using different iTunes accounts?
Recently purchased iPhone 5 for my wife and I + my daugther has an iPod.  I'd like for us all to have separate iTunes accounts so we can each use iCloud without getting each other's notifications, but would like to have one central repository for mucsic and apps.  I'm afraid if I set up iTunes accoutn for the tow of them, I'll have to re-purchase the music and apps (way too many!)

It can be done, but you will have to sign in to your account on her itunes to updated the apps. Try these instructions:

You can set up Messages and Facetime separate from your husband and still use the same iTunes to sync things like music, movies, Apps, etc.
To do this though, you need to get your own Apple ID. You then use your Apple ID to set up Messages and Facetime under your account. This way your Messages and Facetime calls will come from your account and your husbands from his.
And you will still be able to sync the devises on the same iTunes account.

Sync them both to the same iTunes music library.  You can also automatically download purchased music to both by going to Settings>iTunes & App Stores and turning Music to On under Automatic Downloads.  If you music is in multiple computers, you can enable Home sharing to share your music library across multiple devices (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819).

  • When I moved all my music stored in my Windows 7 user account under the My Music folder  to my PC's 'Public Music' folder, I could no longer add/delete music or movies to my iPhone using iTunes. How do I fix this?

I have been synching my iPhone with iTunes without problems for a long time.  I also used iTunes to add/change/delete Music & Videos on my iPhone with tuch contents from my iTunes Library.
One day, I decided to move all my Music stored on my laptop's Windows 7 User Account under "My Music" to the Windows 7 User "Public"  under "Public Music".  When I opened iTunes, all my music was gone so I just added the folder "Public Music" to my iTunes Library, iTunes did some work and all my music was then back, listed in my iTunes.
However, when I would synch my iPhone now, when I view the music or movie contents in my iPhone using iTunes, I can no longer ADD Music or Movies to my iPhone and I cannot delete music or movies in my iPhone using iTunes anymore.
How do I fix this?  Please help.

Try opening iTunes preferences. Then click on advanced tab. Then uncheck "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library." By default, iTunes copies music to its own media folder when you use iTunes to play the music.

How can I share photos with others in other places using ICloud?

If you have iPhoto on an iOS device rather than a Mac, you can create a 'Photo Journal', which is an online gallery hosted on iCloud: details here -

This facility is not as yet available in iPhoto on a Mac. If you don't have an iOS device you will need to find a third-party alternative. This page examines some options:

You can't share with other devices if you are using different Apple ID's and iTunes account on them. You can only share if you use the same ID.

  • In trying to share music with multiple user accounts on one comp, I quit itunes, located my itunes media folder, moved it to a publicly accessible location. Problem is it didn't work and now I can't get it all back to the way it was.

In trying to share music with multiple users on one computer, I followed the directions on "iTunes:How to share music between different accounts on a single computer" (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1203). I did something wrong because i lost iTunes
Tried to put files back, but it is not the same. Plugged in my ipod and it is not recognizing my computer.
Can someone tell me where iTunes should be, and what sub files should be included with it. Thanks!

If you are seeing the "Connect to iTunes" logo, then your device is in Recovery Mode, and you will need to restore it:
If you can't update or restore your iOS device

  • How can I get only the music I want onto my iPhone using iTunes Match

how can I get only the music I want onto my iPhone using iTunes Match?  At present it is putting a random selection on; it has none of the same control as iTunes on my Mac.  And although I uploaded all my album artwork to iCloud, it is not transferring it back to my iPhone

Iphone are meant to be sync to one itunes library only.
You can copy those songs to a cd and then put a copy to your itunes media library.

  • HT1206 I buy apps in my iPhone using different Apple IDs. Which Apple ID should I use to authorize the computer when synchronizing iPhone with iTunes?

I buy apps in my iPhone using different Apple ID. Which Apple ID should I use to authorize the computer when sync iPhone with iTunes?

    Hi again,
After a little further research, it appears that you would need to create separate iTunes libraries in order to be able to continue to purchase and download previously purchased items on the same computer, for two different Apple IDs. Sorry - but my husband and I have had the library we sync with authorized for so long, that we have not run into this issue, but it appears that you will get an warning when you try to authorize the second ID on the same computer, indicating that another ID is already associated with it.
So, you will probably have to set up separate iTunes libraries for each ID:

Sorry for any confusion - hope this helps!

As long as the other iPods are signed into the iTunes account that originally purchased apps, they can just redownload them again and not be charged.  If in the USA you can also redownload them by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
