Share my library (InD Cs4) with a Cs3 user.

I have the problem that I want to share my Cs4 library (win) with a Cs3 user (mac).
Files are fine to share if I export them as .inx
But I can't find a way to export my library. Is there any smart solution?
Thank you in advance

In general, exporting the Library items as snippets will work.
If they included text the usual caveats apply.

  • Contribute CS4 with Dreamweaver CS3

I have a number of sites created with Dreamweaver CS3, and
intend to provide update access with Contribute - but Contribute
CS3 is now hard to get hold of. Will these sites work with
Contribute CS4 if developed with DW CS3: general functions such as
editable sections, checkin/checkout. I don't want to upgrade my
    systems yet to CS4.
CS4 suite has much higher system requirement than CS3 - which
probably means a hardware upgrade first - so want to avoid this.
Can't find any info on this anywhere.
    Thanks

I just read on the adobe website that:
    "Contribute CS4 works with Adobe Dreamweaver® CS4
    templates"
Does that mean it wont work with Dreamweaver CS3 templates?

  • CS4 setup affecting CS3 user

I set up a site in DW CS4 and created a connection key in Contribute CS4. I sent a connection key to my client who has Contribute CS3. The client is getting this message when she goes throught he connection process:  "This site is being administered with a newer version of Contribute. For more information please contact the administrator."
What do I need to do to allow a CS3 user access a CS4 setup? When I tried to create the connection key in CS3, I get the same message and I'm the Administrator.

Go to Edit>Administer websites. Choose the site. In the left column go to "compatibility" and choose "transition mode".

  • How do I share address book and calendars with other iCloud users?

I guess the title of the discussion question says it all.
My wife, and other family members want to SHARE Contacts, Calendars etc... with other iCloud users.
Simple task... most people would want to do it...
But... I can't find an easy answer... how do I do it?

Roger, thanks... I had continued my search and found this information on the discussion.
Now, my biggest concern is the ADDRESS BOOK... I'd like to publish, specific GROUPS within my master Address Book to other iCloud users... with either Read Only, or Read Write permisions.
Do you have any knowledge or suggestion on how that can be accomplished in iCloud?
It seems as though this would be FOUNDATIONAL in iCloud if APPLE expects it to be a USABLE SERVICE.
    Thanks for your help...

  • Can I share an Exchange account Calendar with another icloud user?

How do I get my work calendar onto the my iCloud accout, and how do I share it with another iCloud user?
he exchange calendar is currently on my iphone calendar, but I can't find a way to see it on my iCloud.

iCloud only syncs your iCloud calendar.  It won't sync your exchange calendar.

  • Can I share books purchased from Apple with other IPad users

Can I share books purchased from Apple with other IPad users

You can share them this way:
Suppose you and the person you're trying to share with (I'll call her Jane) have two separate computers with two separate Apple IDs.  Each of those two computers have a current version of iTunes.
You could copy your book from your version of iTunes over to Jane's.  How you do that depends on what types of computers you have, etc.
So now your book is sitting in Jane's iTunes.  But you own the book, so Jane cannot access it.  What you have to do, then, is authorize Jane to access the book you bought.
You do that on Jane's computer in iTunes by going to Store > Authorize This Computer in iTunes' menu.  Enter your Apple ID and password there.
Then once Jane syncs her iPad to her iTunes, she will have access to your book.

  • Share iTunes library on NAS with multiple users

    Howdy,
I have been playing a while to get itunes library share working. I know it is supposed to be done with home sharing. But I don't like it.
My library is on a NAS (synology). I connect with NFS mount. There are 2 users on my mac.
When I open en close the libary from user account 1, then the permissions and owner rights of the library file are changed by iTunes. They are changed to 501 (user) and 20 (group). Permissions are only r/w to this user/group.
This prevents the other user 2 (502) to open the libary file. Since only user 1 (501) has permissions.
Now there are a lot of topics to be found on the internet, that suggest to make the folder of the library 'shared'. This will fix the problem. The thing is: the folder is on a NAS and the mac os options for setting it to a 'shared folder'  doesn't work. Also the option to make a ACL see:https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1691 doesn't work for a network folder (on the NAS).
So I'm kinda stuck. Is there a solution to this?
    Thanks!

It sounds to me like your NAS is going to sleep.
From what I have read on this forum using iTunes with NAS has all kinds of issues.

  • How do I disable sharing on one of two apple tvs? I do not want to share my library and apps with my ex. Apple tvs are in separate homes

I just broke up and left my ex and we had two apple tvs in our home.  I kept one and she kept one.  How do I turn off home sharing on the apple tv that she kept?  I no longer want to share anything with her.  My apps, music, movies, etc.  Do I need to change my apple ID?
    Help,
    Tristin

    Hey Mixtris,
Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you are concerned that someone may have access to some of your content using your Apple ID. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • Share library or album with faces information

Is it possible to share a library or album with faces information intact?

Share? Sure. Simply put the Library on an external disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and allow the other person to open it. They'll see exactly what you see.
Share from? Not so clear. There is no way to export a photo with faces information. There is no agreed standard for passing this information around. However, if the other person has the same version of iPhoto as you it is possible to use iPhoto Library Manager to share this data from one Library to another.

  • HT5557 Can I share books on local network with other authorized family users? This was simple when my books were in iTunes.

Before using iBooks, members of my family were able to share their books through "Shared Devices" in iTunes. Once I moved my library to iBooks, books are not available to other members of my family. Is there a means to share books on local networks with other authorized users?

Thanks for the link.  I looked at this and tried it and it sync'd my wife's iBook with my account, so she now had my Apple ID logged into her iBook.  I'd like to be able to share my iBooks with her, but add them to her library as we were able to do with Home Sharing in iTunes.  I want her to be able to use her Apple ID with iBooks, but be able to read some of the books I buy on my account.  Does that make sense?
    Thank you.

  • Sharing icloud calendars with non icloud users

Anyone have a suggestion on how to share my ical icloud calendars with non-icloud users?
Can't seem to share with MobileMe - and Tungle.com doesn't support it either. What about google calendars? Would that be a good work around or end up duplicating entries somehow if they're all synced.
    Please advise.

Ok Apple... I was sooooo excited about moving my whole team to iCloud, I've already got us setup and our upcoming events are being entered as I write. Then.... I discovered.... The fatal flaw....
While most of my people are apple users, I still have an employee that isn't and isn't ever going to be. No big deal right, they should just get read only access while the "in crowd" gets the cool toys. Except....
See screenshot below, I can EITHER publish read-only to a url OR share through iCloud... NOT BOTH. So in order for my one non-apple employee to see the calender, I have to give up the ability for all the others to make changes... making this calendar service just as ineffective as the one I was trying to replace!
This would be such an easy thing to fix, but I suspect it was a conscious decision to incentivize more people to switch to all apple. Yet I just can't get everybody to do that, I can't force an employee to buy an iPhone and I sure ain't gonna pay for it. So I'm stuck. Next stop... Google Calendar.

  • Can I share one iPhoto library with all the users in my iMac?

I moved the library to the shared folder and gave it 775 permissions but when I try opening it with the second users it asks if I want to fix permissions. I click OK and after a while it tells me it is locked... which kind of tells me I won't be able to share it but I wanted to confirm... Thank you.

No, you cannot share your photo library in a shared folder. That will give permission problems.
You need to move your iPhoto library to a disk volume or a disk partition where permissions are ignored.

  • Can I share itunes library with my family icloud

My kids have their itunes library, my husband does too, and mine is different as well. We all use my account and do share songs amoungst our libraries. WIth iCloud is this still work seamlessly in the same fashion or do we all need different user ID/passwords?
Can we do this with Calendaring, documents, photos too? All on one account, but all selecting what we want to select?
    Julie

itunes has two different ways of sharing music
    1) clicking on file , home sharing and turning on home sharing, and entering your apple id. this is required for iphone, ipods and ios devices you are only allowed to share to 5 computers this way. this allows you to import songs to your itunes client  from your itunes server. and each compuer needs to be logged into your itunes account
    2) clicking on itunes, preferences, clicking on share tab, and cicking on "share my library on my local nework " this will not allow itunes libraries to be shared with ipods, iphones or ios devices. itunes cleints will not be alllowed to important songs from your itunes server. however itunes clients do not have to be logged into apple at all. they don't even need to be authorized to play music. they will prompt for your itunes account if you try and play a song that has DRM, but if the music has no DRM they will play fine
your only allowed 5 computers associated with an apple id. upgrading your music collection to itunes plus or using itunes match #2 might be able to save your precious itunes computer slots
i have them both turned on
