Share my WiFi internet (from Windows 10 TP) to Hyper-V

Hi,
Since 1 month I'm using Windows 10 Technical Preview on my laptop.
Before I used Windows 8.1. There I had a Hyper-V. Thank of this blog(http://blog.credera.com/technology-insights/microsoft-solutions/using-your-windows-8-wireless-connection-inside-hyper-v/) I share the Internet of my Laptop to Hyper-V
I copy the hard disk of VM (with Windows Server) which I create at Windows 8.1 and I'm using it in Windows 10. The VM is working but I can't share the WiFi internet to it. I tried the manual from blog but without success.
After that I try to create a External Virtual switch. In this way the internet is not working on the Laptop and on the VM.
--------------------------------------EDIT----------------------------------------
Here is what I'm doing with all settings:
1. Enter to "Hyper-V Manager" > Select "Virtual Switch Manager" > "New virtual network switch" > "Internal" >"Create Virtual Switch" > Set name to "My Virtual switch" > Click
"OK"
2. Open "Network connection"> Select my Wi-Fi adapter and click on "Properties" > Open "Sharing" tab > Check checkbox "Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" > Select
from dropdown list "vEthernet (My Virtual switch)" > click "OK"
3. Now on my Wi-Fi Adapter I can see "Shared"
4. In "Network and Sharing Center", I have my Wi-Fi Adapter with "Access type: Internet" and "vEthernet (My Virtual switch)" with "Access type: No network access"
4.1 In "vEthernet (My Virtual switch)" Properties: "Hyper-V extensible Virtual Switch" and "Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol" are unchecked. The rest are checked.  In "IPv4" is selected "Use
the following IP address" but they are blank. The same with DNS server addresses
5. In "Hyper-v Manager" I'm selecting my VM and opening "Settings"
5.1. "Add Hardware" > "Legacy Network Adapter" > "Add" > In "Virtual Switch" dropdown I select "My Virtual switch" (The "Enable virtual LAN identification" checkbox is unchecked ) > "OK"
6. Now I'm starting my virtual machine and I don't have access to Internet
I see that MAC of my  "vEthernet (My Virtual switch)" is different than this of my Adapter in VM
Do you have some idea how can I share the WiFi Internet from Windows 10 Technical Preview to Hyper-V? It will be brilliant if I can have Internet on both machines?

I'm using client version of Windows 10.
Yesterday this question was in Hyper-V. I don't know why it's now in "Windows Server Technical Preview"
A Hyper-V moderator moved your question and has moved it to the wrong
forum. Although your question is about Hyper-V the Hyper-V forum is only
for released versions of Hyper-V. Since you're asking a question about
Client Hyper-V on Windows 10 then the correct forum to move it to would
have been one of the client Windows 10 forums.

    Frnds,
    I couldnt find solve for my problem. Could anyone help me, pls?
    I have TC. It work as router. TC connect via Ethernet cable. I want to connect to it from anyplace of the world via internet and use files on it. I switched on Share files in Airport Utility. I have stat IP. All should be work. But it is not working. When i check ports(137-139, 455) then i see that ports is closed. When i try to mapping ports then i have warning message that they is using and to turn it on i need to switch off Share files.
    I try to connect via FTP. I opened 21 port and it is realy open. But i still could not to connect.
    One more thing - i could to connect to TC via afp:// from Macbook. But i need to connect from other places using Windows.
    I NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP. All eligible information and screens im ready to provide. HELPDESK CONNECTED UP!!!
    sry for my english

    The TC does not offer FTP and ISP do not allow SMB connection via internet due to risk. Nor apparently does the TC allow wan connection using SMB.
    So the simple answer is, you will have to figure out another way in.
    http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/3178/how-to-connect-to-an-afp-server-fr om-a-windows-pc
    There are no AFP client support for windows available.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2627410?start=0&tstart=0
    Buy a vpn router and place it infront of the TC which should be bridged.. vpn to the network and then you can access the TC.. but you should understand the TC was not made to be used as a NAS nor to serve PC's.

  • [solved] sharing internet from windows computer with arch laptop

    Title is descriptive I think. Stuck on windows on my desktop because I did a thing and don't feel like fixing it yet
    I used ICS but the laptop couldn't access the internet and I read someplace that it only works between a windows client and host, and I couldn't find how to do it between a windows host and linux client of any sort.
    If it's relevant I'm using a regular yellow ethernet cable (forget which one that one is) and my desktop has a gigabit ethernet card.

    If you want make your laptop as access point, then see here
    Otherwise, from the Arch side, the wiki is the best place to start from.
    Or see this topic is of your interests.
    If these are none of your intents, please explain which is the computer and OS connected to internet and which is the computer and OS wants to access the internet.
    What are the results of your trials, what steps have you done ?
    More details of your doing and targetted answers will be the result.
    Modern NICs don't need cross cable, the NIC will detect and self adjust the connection. If one of the two PS is less modern then you need a cross CAT5 cable.

    I have tried to like my ipod touch to iMac by turning airport and setting up a new network, the ipod touch is able to pick up the wireless signal of my iMac ant the Airport status bar shows an arrow out which mean that airport is sending signal out but for some reason when I try to use Safari or Mail in get the following error message "cannot Open Page Page, Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet"
    Also when when scanning for wireless signal with my iMac I am able to pickup my neighbours wireless signal while my iPod Touch is only able to pickup my iMac airport wireless signal.
    What I am missing ?

    1. Open System Preferences
    2. Go to 'Sharing'
    3. Click on 'Internet Sharing' (leave the box unchecked for now).
    4. From 'Share your connection from' choose 'Built-in Ethernet'
    5. From 'To computers using' check the 'Airport' box
    6. Open 'AirPort Options' (bottom right), name the network. (Once it all works, go back and assign a password).
    7. Now, check 'Internet Sharing' box and turn on AirPort. The AirPort sign on the iMac menu should turn into an arrow.

    Oleg,
    I had the exact same problem here - we have two XSERVE machines here running OSX 10.5.7 server, and we're accessing a samba share on these servers from Windows XP SP3 clients.
    When moving a file, I noticed a message in /var/log/samba/log.smbd :
    [2009/06/15 12:45:30, 0, pid=50709] /SourceCache/samba/samba-187.8/samba/source/modules/vfsdarwin_acls.c:fsp_setacl(126)
    darwinacl: failed to set ACL on <filename>: Invalid argument
    !#acl 1
    I tried to look this up on google, but had no success.
    Searching the file /etc/smb.conf for "acl" showed the following line:
    vfs objects = darwinacl,darwin_streams
    (Un)commenting this line (inserting a ";" in front of the first character) and restarting s,b solved the problem here - I'm now able to move files without having the permissions set to 0000, and the error in log.smbd doesn't appear any more.

  • Random error accessing CIFS shares from Windows

    I am setting up some CIFS shares to be used from Windows clients and in the process I had some random problems accessing the shares.
    In hope of finding the answer I checked the CIFS Service and the Active Directory Service, and while watching the screen for Active Directory Service I saw that the "Selected Domain Controller" changed from one to another. I now stayed within this screen and noticed that the "Selected Domain Controller" continued to change and then I found the problem, because an unknown Domain Controller appeared. The IP was 216.150.17.8
    I found that when ever this Domain Controller was the selected one, all access to CIFS shares from Windows clients failed! This is correct, because the 216.150.17.8 of course is unaware of all users in Our Domain
    So the Questions are:
    - what is happening?
    - and how to solve this?
    - why is a Domain Controller 216.150.17.8 sometimes the Selected Controller?
    - where does this 216.150.17.8 come from?
    Have You seen anything like this?

    I now have found out why the DC changes - it is because the CIFS service is restarting ;-(
    This is a log snip

    It seems to happen when I access the share and thereby force a uservalidation
    Any ideas?

    Is it possible to share internet connection from my Macbook to my desktop (wired of course)

    Heres what i want to do:
    [*]Connect via wifi on macbook to my internet
    [*]share the wifi connection from my macbook to the macbook LAN port
    [*]run a cable (not sure if I need a cross over or straight from macbook to desktop LAN port
    [*]use internet on desktop freely as if it was connected to a normal LAN cable

    Hi
    Any kind of ethernet cable will do. On the Mac, go to System Preferences - Sharing, turn on Internet Sharing, and select "Share connection from Airport" to computers using "Ethernet" (tick the Ethernet entry).
    That should be all.

  • [Solved] Share internet from (laptop) wifi to (RaspberryPi) ethernet

    Hi,
    I've been attempting to share the internet from my laptop wifi connection to a raspberry pi (with arch) connected via an ethernet port.
    For some reason, the Rpi doesn't connect. I've closely followed the instructions at:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Internet_sharing
    Yet the following script doesn't seem to work. The Rpi recognizes the the Ethernet connection but dhcpcd isn't dishing out an IP address. When I plug the Rpi into an ethernet port on my router it connects fine so as far as i'm understanding it should 'just work'.
    #!/bin/bash
    DEVICE="enp0s25"
    ip link set $DEVICE down
    ip link set $DEVICE up
    ip addr add 192.168.123.1/24 dev $DEVICE
    sysctl net.ipv4.ip_forward=1
    iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o internet0 -j MASQUERADE
    iptables -A FORWARD -m conntrack --ctstate RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A FORWARD -i $DEVICE -o internet0 -j ACCEPT
    dhcpcd $DEVICE
    Any tips for getting to the bottom of the issue?
    Tom

    Success!! I'd mistakenly thought that dhcpcd acted as both client and server so that's where I went wrong. The following script now works using dhcpd. As a reference for others, here's my setup:
    #!/bin/bash
    DEVICE="enp0s25"
    ROUTERIP=139.96.30.1 # 192.168.123.1
    ip link set $DEVICE down
    ip link set $DEVICE up
    ip addr add $ROUTERIP/24 dev $DEVICE # arbitrary address
    sysctl net.ipv4.ip_forward=1
    iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o internet0 -j MASQUERADE
    iptables -A FORWARD -m conntrack --ctstate RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A FORWARD -i $DEVICE -o internet0 -j ACCEPT
    #Config file: /etc/dhcpd.conf
    #Database file: /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases # cat this to see if a device has been asigned a lease
    #PID file: /var/run/dhcpd.pid
    dhcpd $DEVICE
    And /etc/dhcpd.conf contains:
    option domain-name-servers 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4;
    option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;
    option routers 139.96.30.100;
    subnet 139.96.30.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
    range 139.96.30.150 139.96.30.250;
    Then to find out the IP address assigned to the Rpi, simply
    cat /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases
    Thanks for the help

  • How to share internet from mac to windows

    Any one helps me how to share internet from mac to windows? I have created an internet sharing on macbook, a Mac can connect to internet, but windows pc can't connect with this sharing. I don't know why?

    I am not a Windows guru. However, in XP there is a Wireless Network icon at the lower right side. Click on that, select the network you want to join, insert the password and that's it. Any issues speak to a Windows guru.

  • No internet connection after upgrade from windows 8 to windows 8.1

    I have upgraded my operating system from windows 8 to windows 8.1, I also updated windows 8.1 after the system upgrated. I found there is no access to internet, although I have full wifi signal. I tried to conncet to the router via ethnet cable, but it still has no internet connection. However, I can see other computers at homenet via wifi.  I have seen some questions in the Forum regarding wifi failure after upgrating to windows 8.1, and I tried to uninstall all my drivers (LAN and wireless) of network adapter, and re-install the latest drivers from HP website at http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-Sleekbook-15-b000/5296234/model/5311051#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1(I tried the Ralink ones as I remembered the old drivers are Ralink), but it does not work.  Please could you help?

     Hi @Koala76 , Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! I have read your post on your HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b052ea and Windows 8.1 causing issues for you when trying to connect to the wireless. Try opening Device Manager, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. In Device Manager, locate the network adapter, and then double-click the device name. Click the Driver tab, and then uninstall everything in the list except the Realtek and the Ralink. Remove any USB devices and Ethernet cables that are connected. Restart the computer. After you restart the computer, please use the HP Support Assistant. The HP Support Assistant has a wireless connectivity troubleshooting tool inside. Here is a screen shot of the Internet and Security tool that will help you diagnose Internet Connectivity.  I hope this helps! Thanks.
