Share on Facebook - Share on Twitter Links (how to)

I want to add a graphic and link that allows site viewers to 'share' the page they are viewing (created in iWeb) on their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Can anyone help me with this?

PSE 10 & "Share to Facebook"

Hi there,
I've recently upgraded from PSE6.0 to PSE 10 and am having an issue with the Share to Facebook feature.
I'm getting the error "There was a problem with your Internet connection. Please check that a firewall is not blocking Eleents Organizer from accessing the Internet and that you have an Internet Connection". The strange thing is that the Share to Flickr service works perfectly. I've also checked that I can access Facebook from this PC via a standard web connection all OK.
As suggested on another thread, I have also tried resetting the providers under edit - preferences.
Any help really appreciated as this is one of my primary reasons for upgrading to PSE10.

Once I too had the same problem. It took me long to figure out the reason for it but ultimately i solved the mystery.
Some services like share to Facebook/share to Youtube may not work from PSE 10 if ANY PROXY IS SET ON YOUR MACHINE. In such case your PC allows you to connect to intenet and share your stuff with Facebook or youtube without any problem but PSE will not allow you to do the same.
To determine whether you have any proxy set or not - In Internet explorer follow the following steps.
1. In 'Tools-> Internet Options' navigate to 'Connections' tab.
2. click on 'LAN Settings'. under proxy server pane uncheck the tick box for Use a proxy server..'
In some cases you may not have a proxy server but some other program may be acting as filter. In my case I installed 'Windows Live essentially'. In this suite there is an application called 'Windows live family safety'. It consist of a feature called 'Family safety filter'. By default it was turn ON. Hence it was blocking the OLS (OnLine Services) services from PSE to connect to internet. When I TURN OFF this filter OLS worked for me.
A popular program called 'Fiddler' also act as proxy and it hinders the OLS services of PSE to connect to internet. If this program is ON while sharing then it wil give same error.
Hence i suggest that please check such programs which may have some kind of filter (e.g. Windows live essential or Fiddler) please turn that filter/Application off and then try PSE to share your stuff.
Please let me know if your problem persist.

HT5035 Itunes gift card balance can't be redeemed. Amt shows in Itunes store, 4 items in my wish list. But no options to buy/purchase them. Only options: "Gift, tell friend, share or copy link" How do I buy from wishlist using unused balance?

I have a balancer on an ITunes Gift Card But can't seem to make purchases with this balance. I saved 4 items to my wish list but when attempting to purchase/buy I am not given the option. All I see is Gift This Song, Tell a Friend, Share on Twitter, Share on Facebook abd Copy Link. Last made a purchase in June 2013 without any issues. How do I buy music using the unused balance on my gift card? What has changed?

You need to click on the price, not the downward pointing arrow next to them, that should allow you to buy them - the 'buy all' button that used to be on the wish list screen has, for some reason, been removed from the current version of iTunes, so you can only buy items individually

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

How to use open graph tags in muse to show facebook share images

i am trying to use a facebook share button. i would like to have a preview of the image in the story i want to have shared.
i know that it has to do with open graph tags. i am unsure of how and where to add these og tags to my muse program to have the preview of it show in the share window

I don't think this is possible in Muse, however, if you're at all comfortable editing your HTML file, then you can add the tags after they're uploaded to your host.
Just log into your host and through file manager, find your index.html file. Open it for editing.
Anywhere between the <head> and </head> tags, enter the following code:
<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.yourdomain.com/imagename.jpg" />
Then you should go to the Facebook Debugger https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug and enter your website URL to make sure Facebook is showing the image you want.

Elements keep trying to link me to my personal facebook page. Can anyone tell me how to tell it to post to my facebook photography business page? I used to have this option in lightroom.

The reason is you need to change something on facebook page so that all uploads are reflected on a specific page and not on the page that was last used.
I don't use facebook since their new Terms & Conditions so I can't help here. Dreamweaver people may not be able to help either because the page is designed in DW.
I am of course assuming that you have one facebook account with your personal; page and a business page. If this is not so then just ignore my answer and post back so that somebody else can help you out.

IWeb and Facebook Share Button

Hi,
I know people have asked about this issue, but I don't seem to be able to decipher any reasonable solutions..
I want to add the Facebook Share button to some of my iWeb pages. To do that I am using the HTML widget.. I know that because it's a widget within the iweb page etc etc it isn't going to work properly.
I read a different post with answers from Cyclosaurus, and he/she was able to look at the facebook code and make a minor adjustment to make it work in iWeb. However, that was a few years old and Facebook have now changed their code.
This is the code that facebook want you to copy and paste:

Does anyone (or hopefully Cyclosaurus if you are reading this), know how to make this work in iweb?

Thanks for that.. I had thought of just having an image and linking etc, but the Facebook share code gives me an option where it will place a counter to show how many people have shared the page etc.. I kind of like that concept for the pages the share button will be on so want to try to get it to work..
I know of the overlapping issue in iWeb that has even happened with simple text boxes and images in the past with my site.. It doesn't happen anymore, not sure what I did to rectify it back when it was happening.. Anyway, the share button is going to be on its own as i'm not wanting to use twitter, plus it's not going to be close to any page borders or other images, boxes etc to cause problems..
I'm still hoping someone out there knows a way to modify the code..

I noticed that I can't share to Facebook anymore. And I can't update my twitter or Facebook status from Notification Center in Mountain Lion.
When I click to share buttons nothing happens.
How Can I fix it?

Oh, I figured it out. I guess you can't link iphoto to a business account on facebook.

"Share on Facebook" for songs, not entire albums

When I select "Share on Facebook" next to an individual song in the store, what appears in Facebook is the title and link for the album. If I instead do "Copy Link" next to the track and then paste the link in Facebook myself, the URL again gets rewritten to point to the album.
"Share on Twitter" keeps the link for the individual track unchanged. How do I do the same for Facebook?

I can't believe this is the intended behavior (well, perhaps it's the way it's been coded, but it's not the behavior the UI implies).

Iweb & facebook (share button)

Hi all,
I'm working on my blog and I found many scripts to add an icon facebook share and twitter. The problem is, when the page is shared, it's took the home page link, not the one where is the script. I would like also to have the picture of the page and a little resume or a part of the text...
Any Idea?
