I think sooner I can collect all MSI Avenger casemods! XDDD
Can't agree you more!
It does look like Hawk to me, too!

    The green mod is rare, and this work makes me feel magic!

    Thank you for sharing!
    I have been used my old GE60 for almost 2 years!
    It's still quite powerful now.

  • MSI TITAN lightning?

    I just saw some news where you guys are set to unveil a new LIGHTNING series of coolers, as well as a new lightning TITAN?
    It doesn't look like a leak because there was a press conference apparently. (http://wccftech.com/msi-set-unveil-geforce-gtx-titan-lightning-edition-graphics-card-cebit-2013/)
    Is anyone able to let us know if this would in fact be a new GTX LIGHTNING TITAN card (with custom PCB and cooler) or if this is going to be a reference TITAN card with the new cooler? Basically, it will keep me from spending the money right now to get an EVGA card, and instead give my money to you guys for this model!

    Remember this is just a Users-to-Users Forum.
    So far nothing is known of that Lightning except for a vague press release (http://www.techpowerup.com/180699/MSI-Teases-Gaming-Series-Motherboards-Graphics-Cards-and-All-in-One-Desktops.html). If there will be a Lightning it will be non-reference. Without any solid info but just a teaser pic of a part of black and red Twin FrozR cooler it is hard to say.

  • MSI FX5900XT Green screen on TV-out

    I have a problem with my FX5900XT-card. The problem is that when I play movies, the picture on the TV-out sometimes (quite often actually) goes completely green. At the same time the picture on the computer monitor starts to stutter a lot, and the responsivenes of the whole system goes way down. I then have to restart the player, and the picture is fine for a while until it goes green again...
    I can say the following for a fact:
    It is not a codec-problem. It doesn't matter if I'm playing DivX, XviD, MPEG or DVD...
    It's not a problem of corrupt videos. The problem occurs on all videos and at different locations each time.
    It is not a player-problem. I've tried WMP 6, WMP 9, Zoom Player, and WinDVD...
    I've tried updating the VGA driver, but that didn't help. I've also looked for an updated VGA BIOS, but none exists. I'm now thinking about upgrading the motherboard BIOS, but looking at the change log I'm pretty sceptical to that making any difference...
    Has anyone else had this problem?
    Thanks for any help!
    Thomas Sahlin

    Yes, thank you, that has helped me before, but only for a while... The problem then returns and seems to get worse over time (until the next driver reinstall).
    Isn't there a more permanent solution to the problem? Can't nVidia fix this? It's very annoying...
    Oh well, right now the problem seems to have gone away... for the moment...

  • MSI RX9800 (the green one)... monitor wont work after install

    Hi,
    I just bought a MSI RX9800 (green one) and after I plugged it in and plugged in the power when I turned on the computer after the initial loading screen my monitor (Viewsonic 19' CRT E90fb) turns off and gives me this message:
    i Viewmeter
    FH: + 35.1 Khz
    FV: + 39.1 mhz
    Status: OVER
    and this happens everytime
    ive tried replugging everything and done everything I could. I don't know whats wrong
    I just plugged in my geforce ti4800se and am using that at the moment with no error
    what can i do?

    Some good reading
    Moan Guide
    Suggestions on posting and getting better answers
    I do not know what you did prior to uninstalling the card.
    What steps did you take to prepare for the installation?
    What card were you using prior?
    Without some pertinent info, I'm afraid all you'll get are guesses, or you might get lucky and someone mught have had that exact problem, but the odds of that are slim unless your really lucky
    Please read at least the first link and then skim the second one
    My guess:
    You didn't uninstall the card and drivers properly prior to installing the new one.
    My solution:
    I suggest downloading and installing a utility called "Driver Cleaner" http://www.driverheaven.net
    Use the control Panel's Add Remove Programs to remove the nVidia drivers.
    Follow the directions supplied with DC and when you restart the PC and the found new hardware wizard pops up, cancel it. Then shutdown the PC and swap the card with your new one, restart and load the new drivers as instructed.
    I highly recommend using the utility, especially when changing vendors.
    I also recommend looking on the Viewsonic website and see if there are FAQ's related to this issue.
    You could finaly try the card in another PC and see if it gives the same error.
    Also, what connector are you using to connect the monitor to the card.

  • Icon of a node changes when I edit its content

    I have a JTree that represent an xml document.
    and I have a TreeCellRenderer that sets the Icon of the node according to its type:
    public class XmlTreeCellRenderer extends DefaultTreeCellRenderer {
          * Overrides this method to display the apropriate icon according
          * to the type of the <code>Node</code>.
         @Override
         @SuppressWarnings("hiding")
         public Component getTreeCellRendererComponent(
                   JTree tree, Object value, boolean sel,
                   boolean expanded, boolean leaf, int row, boolean hasFocus) {
              super.getTreeCellRendererComponent(tree, value, sel, expanded, leaf,
                        row, hasFocus);
              if (!(value instanceof XmlTreeNode)) {
                   return this;
              // retrieves the type of the node
              XmlTreeNode treeNode = (XmlTreeNode) value;
              short nodeType = treeNode.getNodeType();
              // sets the icon of the node and the foreground color
              // according to the type
              switch (nodeType) {
              case Node.ELEMENT_NODE:
                   setForeground(Color.BLACK);
                   setIcon(ELEMENT_ICON);
                   break;
              case Node.TEXT_NODE:
                   setForeground(Color.BLUE);
                   setIcon(TEXT_ICON);
                   break;
              case Node.COMMENT_NODE:

              new ImageIcon("resource/images/CommentIcon.jpg");
         private static final ImageIcon ELEMENT_ICON =
              new ImageIcon("resource/images/ElementIcon.jpg");
    }Now the problem is when I edit a node's content the icon changes back
    to the default icon, like this.
    This is before I edit the node's content:
    http://img140.imageshack.us/my.php?image=before6zj.jpg
    This is after:
    http://img89.imageshack.us/my.php?image=after2xd.jpg
    Notice how the "E" changed to the folder icon.
    How do I disable it?
    I want it to stay with the "E" icon even when I edit the node's content.
    I tried in the XmlTreeCellRenderer to use setClosedIcon and setOpenIcon
    but it didn't work.

    I have a JTree that represent an xml document.
    and I have a TreeCellRenderer that sets the Icon of
    the node according to its type:<snip>
    Now the problem is when I edit a node's content the
    icon changes backIt's a bug. See:

  • What are the Settings when doing Green Screen?

    I had the green screen settings saved on my computer and somehow they've disappeared. I have been in the meantime just making an educated guess by using these settings:
    Ultra Key Output Composite
    Setting Custom
    Key Color (eyedropper) the green just above the shoulder
    Matte Generation
    Transparency: 50
    Highlight: 0
    Shadow: 50
    Tolerence: 100
    Pedestal: 100
    Matte Cleanup
    choke: 0.0
    Soften: 0.0
    Contrast: 0.0
    Mid Point: 50
    Spill Suppression
    Desaturate: 50
    Range: 25
    Spill: 50
    Luma: 50
    Color Correction
    Saturation: 100
    Hue: 0
    Luminance: 100
    This is my result so far, but I used to have different settings and these were just ones I had to experiment with as I couldn't find the original ones. Here is my upload to YouTube using these settings, I realize I need to invest in more lights which would probably make this process easier:
    link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7mGYyQofOg&feature=share&list=UUxdGY8nhB7waymVljxwuEsA
    and this is the green screen only, although this was done in Adobe Premiere Elements 11 and I can't figure out why it's got that black frame:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zEAOXB5lSQ&feature=share&list=UUxdGY8nhB7waymVljxwuEsA
    This was the green screen shoot that I used the settings that I lost that was given to me from the Adobe Forum some time ago (again I'd have a better result if I had more lighting):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9_VNk8v0ks&feature=share&list=UUxdGY8nhB7waymVljxwuEsA

    No one can tell you what settings to use, it is unique to every single scene (and sometimes changes during the scene as well!). Start with the eydropper, then tweak settings until it looks as good as possible. Move sliders and watch results. I'm sure you can Google up some tutorials on setting the keyer controls.
    As a constructive criticism, I viewed the YouTube videos (keyed and original) and forgetting about keying for a moment, the quality of the clip itself as just a video is very sub-par. I would never even make any attempt to key such a poor quality of source clip. Sorry. And close the shade, the light coming in from the left on the subjects arm is apparently also glaring into the lens and causing the washed out area in middle of image.
    One does not need to spend big bucks on pro lighting. Go down to the hardware store and get some of the those shiny metal bowl type of light fixtures that have a spring clamp on them, less than $10. And get "GE Reveal" bulbs, which create a nice clean light (standard incansdescent bulbs have a reddish cast).
    Get your subject farther from the green background, and light the background separately. Throw some light at the background, as even as possible, such as one light angled in from each side, and then put another light or two on the subject. That is a good starting point. Use manual white balance on camera and get a good focus and you should be in business.
    Good luck
    Jeff

  • Tell us what's your MSI weapon

    Hey guys. As a first thread in this section, I suggest to share your gaming weapons from MSI (if you have one) + your opinions what you like or dislike about it, if you made any changes to it etc. I'll start and the rest of you, don't be shy and share your beasts with us
    I own GX660 over 2 years already. Got the i5-460M version with 4GB RAM (lately upgraded to 8), 500GB HDD 7200RPM and powerful ATI MR HD5870. I love it for it's gaming power, still can run new AAA games pretty well (ofc with a little lowered details), but I haven't found a game I couldn't play at all yet. I also purchased a cooling pad to help laptop with cooling itself and temperatures aren't high at all (max 73

    Seems like AMD in this year put a lot of efforts to optimize games, including Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider, with game developers.
    Hope, this year can be a turning point for AMD.

  • Hierarchy with postable node -- data will be displayed on leaves only

    Hello,
    I have programmed a generic data source for hierarchy of BOM which should display CO-PCP data along the BOM hierarchy, comparable to transaction CK13N on R/3.
    The hierarchy is loaded successfully, having the following info objects:
    0SOURSYSTEM
    0PLANT
    QMATERCO  (header material of BOM)
    QMATPLCO (BOM components of inner nodes and leaves).
    QMATERCO and QMATPLCO are compounded to 0PLANT, each node is loaded with its individual unique node ID in order to post line items for each BOM component on higher and lower level. The hierarchy will be loaded for characteristic QMATPLCO (having defined 0PLANT and QMATERCO within hierachy definition).
    Now I have setup an info cube containing 0PLANT, QMATERCO and QMATPLCO, additionally some other descriptive characteristics and key figures.
    The line items given in R/3 source tables are posted into the info cube for inner nodes and leaves (all of them QMATPLCO), each line item is dedicated to one QMATPLCO node.
    Problem: The query will display line items for leave nodes only but not for all inner nodes although the nodes are displayed with green characteristic icon if I check the hierarchy itself. Furthermore, in BeX if I drag and drop QMATPLCO into the row, I can choose the loaded top node of the hierarchy but not any inner node or leave node.
    What is missing?

  • Invalid OCR locations (on NFS shares)

    I'm trying to install the 11.2 Oracle Grid Infrastructure for testing purposes.
    My setup is the following:
    1. NFS server serving 3 disks
    2. I mounted those shares on my nodes at the same location, e.g. /disk1 /disk2 /disk3
    3. In the Grid Infrastructure OUI runInstaller Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) locations GUI page, I selected
    "normal Redundancy" and put these locations:
    /disk1/ocr/ocr1
    /disk2/ocr/ocr2
    /disk3/ocr/ocr3
    My oinstall group user owns the /disk1/ocr, disk2/ocr, /disk3/ocr dirs.
    I get the following error:
    [INS-41317] Invalid Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) locations.
    Cause - One or more Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) locations were not valid.
    Action - Provide valid OCR locations.
    I'm wondering if somebody can please shed more light on what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

    ok, then i probably know my problem, but not how to solve it:

  • Green Power CPU Phase Control + C-STATE + Turbo Boost ?

    Does anyone know if we can turn on MSI's Green Power CPU Phase Control + Intel C-STATE + Intel Turbo Boost in BIOS all at the same time?  Any problems with doing this?  Does MSI's Green Power CPU Phase Control override or conflict with Intel's C-STATE?  And will Turbo Boost kick in if turned on when a core needs it even if Green Power CPU Phase Control and C-STATE are switched on?
    I really like the idea of the PC running cool and quiet when doing lite work, but would like full power on demand as well.
    Thanks.

    I'm using Intel speedstep (EIST) but i disabled c-state because this brings a unstable PC for me.
    I'm using also the greenpower genie and it works very well.
    When i don't need the power my PC falls back to 50% 2154MHz (this you can choose in the energy configuration of windows), when i play games or decode movies it goes up to 100% 4130MHz. And it is stable as a rock tested 24/7 prime 95 and OCCT and Intel burn test.
    My settings are=
    Eist enabled
    Turbo enabled
    C-state disabled
    Greenpower auto
    My CPU temp in idle is 24° cores 38° and this on aire (room temp 21°-22°) Load 100%=CPU 60 and cores 70°-72° ( prime stressing), gaming CPU 42°-45°.
    For more info on my sys. follow link and see my overclock and voltage settings.http://www.hardware.info/nl-NL/usersys/cm9xZ51mk2yd/view/
    I also changed cpu skew and ioh skew to 200ps so i don't get BSOD that says :cpu did not receive clock on time , but this is only necessary when i go above 178 MHz BCKL.

    I have installed the 10.0.0 to Group Policy share and would like to slipstream the 10.1.1 QUAR to it. I have moved the MSP to the directory (E:Client App Share\AIP) which contains the MSI install and when I execute the this command from the comman line.
    E:\Client App Share\AIP>msiexec a\AdbeRdr1000_en_US.msi p\AdbeRdrUpd1011.msp
    it opens a Windows Installer window for V4.5 and no slipstream patch to the MSI is completed. How do I determine what the probllem is? Thanks in advance for your help
    Steve

    With Administrative Installation Points I've always found it best to remove the old version first with a script using [msiexec.exe /x {APPLICATION_GUID} ] before installing the new AIP.  You should read the documentation about 10.x AIP though.

  • 17.3" high performance gaming NB - Limited MSI GT70 Dragon Edition

    In recent 2 years, MSI did not focus on the Ultrabook series as many other brands, they mainly focused on high performance of Gaming series Notebooks,
    that makes MSI to become a well known gaming products company in the market, also shows how important of the Gaming related market.
    MSI Gaming, Dell Alienware and ASUS ROG are the top 3 of the gaming laptop products in the gaming laptop market,
    that's the well known brands in the gaming laptop market. The higher product position comes with much higher price range.
    MSI extend their Gaming series become more price range segments, GT series on the top, GX series based on AMD platform,
    and GE series focus on the performance level market with better Cost/Value, so that more consumer could consider their GE series with better price range.
    This time we would like to share the latest version of MSI GT70 - The GT70 Dragon Edition.
    The GT70 Dragon Edition totally changed with their box design, make it slimmer and with better looks of their dragon logo to impressed gamers and power users.
    The ID design of GT70 Dragon Edition.
    Compare with their regular GT70, the GT70 Dragon Edition use red metallic cover design with the Dragon Tattoo on it,
    that makes GT70 more gaming style and high performance looks.
    The metallic cover with normal light will be deep red, but the metal will reflect light of the color with different angle,
    so the color of the red will be lighter when outdoor with sunshine.

    34~38℃ when idle mode. (Cooler Boost on)
    Run the InteBurn Test to make CPU with full loading - 73~86℃(Cooler Boost off)
    Run the InteBurn Test to make CPU with full loading - 72~77℃(Cooler Boost on)
    We use idle mode and full loading test to compare the Cooler Boost fan function to check difference.
    The temperature difference of Cooler Boost on and off, it's about 2 degree when idle,
    and biggest gap is 11 degree when CPU is full loading burning test, so the Cooler Boost really helps when users need it.
    Besides the fan performance, about the noise of the cooler, it's not easy to hear the fan noise if Cooler Boost is off, and Cooler Boost will make the noise louder for sure.
    But the noise is not high frequency that makes people uncomfortable, if you listen to the music or play games with Dynauido sound system, you will not hear the noise even you turn on the Cooler Boost.
    Many notebooks with Dual Core will be 40℃ more when idle mode, and full loading will be 80~90 degree.
    So the temperature of GT70 with Core i7 and GTX675MX is really well controlled, MSI did have good design skill on the thermal solution with small space inside the notebook.
    Conclusion of MSI GT70 Dragon Edition:
    Pros:
    1. Dragon Edition makes the chasses with special coating with Dragon Tattoo, also improve the packing a lot. Upgraded hardware on GTX675MX and Killer Double Shot.
    2. Dual mSATA3 SSD and 2.5 inch 750GB HDD makes great balance of performance and capacity. 4xDDR3 DIMM with good extend of the RAM size.
    3. Rich on IO interface, 3 USB3.0 and 2 USB2.0, with HDMI, D-Sub and eSATA as well.
    4. Full size keyboard by Steelseries with back light, add on Turbo, Cooler Boost to boost up GPU and fan performance.
    5. Special 2 channel with 1 subwoofer design with Sound by Dynaudio system, the sound quality even better than previous version of GT70.
    6. Built in 1920x1080 Full HD matted display, that will makes your eyes more comfortable when gaming or watching movies.
    7. Latest Killer Double Shot function, the LAN is faster and WiFi comes with 2x2 and 2.4GHz/5GHz dual band design.
    Cons:
    1. SSD will be better if use the Micron or Marvell control chip.
    2. Maybe IPS panel is more expensive, but still expect the GT70 could option with IPS panel in the future.
    3. The NVIDIA graphics driver still need to improve on Windows 8 system, some 3D benchmark or games still can't get good performance on GTX675MX with full speed.
    4. Recommend to use Creative Sound Core3D quad core sound chipset.
