Share Ring Tones via BlueTooth

My son can send ring tones from his phone to his sister's. His is an LG and hers is a Sony Ericson. I have an iPhone and I can get the ring tones into iTunes on my mac book pro and I can get them into a playlist on my iPhone (iPod), but we can't figure out how to get them in as choices for ring tones.
Is it possible to get them in by using blue tooth or any other way?
thanks

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1358. This article shows you how to make ringtones using GarageBand.
Since you have a Mac, you can use GarageBand to create ringtones using your own music. They are created and then added to iTunes. From there, you sync them to your iPhone.
You can also buy a song in iTunes and then right click on the song and then select make ringtone. This is of course if the song has a bell next to it. The song will be cost whatever price is indicated in iTunes plus an additional cost for the ringtone, I believe it's $.99.
There is no way to add them via bluetooth.

  • Can I share ring tones or alert tones purchased from iTunes between mobile devices?

Does anyone know if there is a way to share ring tones or alert tones purchased from iTunes between mobile devices?  I purchased them on my iPhone and they come up on my computer but I cannot transfer them to my iPad.  Is it possible to share them between mobile devices like any other song?

If you just want to select the whole song as your ringtone (without cutting out the best part) go to your computer and check were the file is saved. When found create a copy of it and rename its extension from m4a to m4r. Now drag&drop that file into itunes and there is your ringtone

    You can't.
They're copyright-protected and DRM built into the phone prevents you from doing anything that will allow their duplication.

    Hi steve c 20,
Here is a quick tutorial on how to purchase and assign Ringtones:
Apple - Find Out How - Music - iTunes
    http://www.apple.com/findouthow/music/itunes.html#store-buyingiphoneringtones
The iPhone User Guide for iOS 7 explains how to purchase from the iTunes Store (pg. 99), and how to assign ringtones to your contacts on page 47.
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Assign different ringtones for the special people in your life. Go to Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap Ringtone.
Choose Send Ringtone to iTunes from the Share menu.
In iTunes, use the Ringtones pane to select the ringtones you want to sync to iPhone.

  • Share laptop wifi via bluetooth

Sitting in my own office, my itouch wifi connection is not stable and it will lose connection all the time, I thought my university has set some auto-disconnection function of it, since at home, it is always being connected to wifi without any problem. Or maybe the signal is just not stable enough? I am not sure.
But the question is this, my laptop use wifi stably! No problem at all. So I am wondering can I share the internet connection of my laptop via bluetooth with my itouch? If I can, how? If not, any technical reason? Or just Apple doesn't want it to implement this function into it?
    Thanks
    -Daniel

You have a seriously limited imagination if you think the lack of one feature makes the device useless.

  • How to share ring tone using iTunes Match

I bought my wife a ring tone on my phone, thinking that it would go to our cloud and be available to my wife, but I have found difficulties finding it on my wife's iPhone. What gives?

After careful assessment it appears that there are no improved methods for reliable sharing of Song data with iTunes Match beyond the basic method identified in this thread.
Investigation by beaTunes reached the following conclusion:
Even if beaTunes updated those privileged fields - I don't think that guarantees that all other fields are also synced.
Sounds to me like iTunes Match is fundamentally flawed :-("
It would be very helpful if Apple would allow users of iTunes Match and 3rd party developers to signal when Song data has been updates such that iTunes Match can ensure Songs across the (up to) 10 devices are synchronised.
Until such time, only adding Songs with iTunes Match off, updating Song data as needed prior to switching iTunes Match on seems the pragmatic route forward.  For Songs otherwise imported they need to be removed and re-added in this style to yield consistent Song data.

  • Cant share videos via bluetooth - lumia 720

    Hi,
I am not able to share video files via Bluetooth , there is no option when I tap and press the desired video file to share, unlike when it comes while sharing pics or songs.
is it not possible to share videos over Bluetooth??
    please reply.

just checked myself by trying to share some songs i had in the Music section and the Bluetooth option under Share appeared. a soft reset is when you press and hold the volume down and power keys together until the phone vibrates.
hard reset is when you go into Settings > About > Reset your phone, and this wipes all your data and settings, so you would need to make a backup to PC and/or online storage first.

  • Pc & Laptop: How to share the internet connection via Bluetooth?

    Hi,
I've recently bought a laptop and i'm having trouble figuring out how to share the internet via bluetooth from my desktop pc. I can connect using the Personal Area Network (PAN) but i'm not sure how to send the internet. whatever i've been told to try so far as all failed.
i'm sure this questions been asked quite alot, so i'm sorry to ask again)
could someone tell me a step by step setup?
    (Thanks, It's much appreciated)

    Hi
Its takes longer to describe the full installation how to use the BT for internet sharing.
I have found this website with a installation instruction for Windows 2000.
The dialogs for Windows XP might be a little different, but the configuration will be the same.

  • Missing purchased ring tones, after upgrade

Any advice on how to reinstate purchased ring tones on my Iphone 3gs?   The purchases show in Itunes but, if I tick the ring tones sync box, there is a dialogue box warning that all music etc on the Iphone will be lost.  I don't want to do that!
Historically, ring tones purchased on the PC have never transposed to the phone and I have directly downloaded ring tones via the Iphone.
    Thanks

Thanks, Ann154 and SuzyQ, for your contributions.
    Hello ralphluben,
I’m glad to hear you upgraded to one of our fabulous Smartphones.  As SuzyQ mentioned, ringtones that were previously purchased will not automatically transfer over when you upgrade your device.  However, these ringtones are available for repurchase through My Media Retrieval if you login to My Verizon. Have a wonderful night!

  • Receiving 1 MMS text with ring tones Questions.

I have a phone that can only have ring tones added via enhanced text (MMS/pics and vid). My questions are:
    1. What is the cost to send 1 of these types of text....does the actual size of the attached ring tones matter?
2, If the size of files does not matter in regards to cost of this text, what is the maximum amount of kb or mb
that can be sent in 1 MMS text?
I have only sent one of these types of texts via my email account to add 4 ring tones to my phone.  Some of them
were not loud enough when actually used on the phone.  I would like to add many more to my phone, but want
to understand the fees I would get if doing so.  I only have the basic $5 monthly text plan feature.  Thanks for your help.

    Thanks SuzyQ
Ok.....in regards to my $5 text plan:
I understand that I can send the pics and vids in a text, I just did not know if I would get charged extra data type fees to send a text like that.  No, they are all text, and part of your 250 messages.
So then on all the 10 possible blocking settings there are.....as long as I have them all blocked except  "Block Picture and Video Messaging",  I will not be charged any additional fees?  Correct.  The only fee would be per message if you went over your 250 message allowance.
In regards to sending ring tones via a email from my PC to my phone:
I will get a $0.25 charge fee for every email sent to my phone with the ring tones added ?  No, this is also a text message, and will come in as a picture message.   I am trying not to get any additional fees charged to my monthly service.  (to do this I have to take off the "Block Premium Messaging"  and or "Block All Data Services"  ?  Same settings as above, you can leave the Premium message block on, make sure picture and video messaging is allowed.  Although it's a sound file, the message is treated as a picture message.
    Thanks again for your help.
