Share, Save as PDF and Find in Page are grayed
Sahre, Save as PDF and Find in Page are grayed in settings. I uninstalled and deleted Firefox 34.0.1 from f-droid.org. Redownloaded and reinstalled Firefox. I am using a Motorola Droid 3 with Android 2.3.4.
Are you using a custom rom? Please try our nightly build from https://nightly.mozilla.org select the Android ARMv7 Android 2.3 button.

hi there, i've just finish our schools year book (voluntarily) and it has 155 pages incl. front/backcover. This file has 1800 links a lot of photos and a few reports. everytime i go to save as PDF it freezers on page 66. i need the book printed in hi-res? im running out of "printing time" as we need it back to school by 10th december for 12th December distribution.
what do i do? if i save it in low res pdf everything will be a blur...can someone please come to my rescue. i have a

Okay, so I'm certain that this question has been asked and answered a hundred times, but for some reason my googling skills are seriously failing me today...
I have a legacy application built in VB6 that generates PDF documents of a particular form letter. Each PDF contains all of the form letters that were printed on that particular day. I actually have it all working rather decently, but something came up a little while ago that set me on a new programming obsession. I want to enable the following functionality from my application:
The user provides a text string that should be unique among all pages of all PDF's (customer ID).
The application then finds the PDF that contains that text string and identifies which page number contains that text string.
Finally, send only that page to the printer.
Currently I can easily create, display and print the PDF from my application. While the creation of the document is done through a third-party reporting system, all display and printing functions are basically handled using AcroPDF.dll. Going through the available properties and methods for an AcroPDF object, I see that I can tell it to print only specified pages, which gives me the last part of my requirements, and I've got the user input part down pat. I'm just totally stumped at finding a solution for "step 2".
Any suggestions, ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated. I'm kinda tired of banging my head against a wall. Thank you for your time.If you are only using Adobe Reader, then that feature isn't available.

Save as PDF and Save PDF as PostScript options in the Printer dialog are not supported.
I downloaded Indesign CS3 trial and liked everything about it until I attempted to print to postscript and got that message. Nothing I have tried has helped. I have seen in various forums that others are having the same problem, but haven't found any solution offered. I am running Tiger 10.4.10 on a new Intel Imac with 3G ram. This is a procedure I use very often in my workflow, and have never had this problem with CS2 on my PC or other Macs. Is there a solution? I downloaded the .1 update and installed that and it didn't change anything.

I'm trying to save a .pdf of a booklet of a facing pages document of A4 size each facing page for a whole size A3, then hope to let the pages be correctly arranged by inDesing, then print and staple.
Meaning pages will be like this - Page #60 left side [of the A3] - page #1 right side [of the A3] , page # 2 right side[of the A3] - page #59 left side[of the A3] etc...
I CANT DO IT. I tried to follow Melvin Thompson , but when I choose save .ps and open it in preview all I see is independent a4 pages and just the left ones , .. How can I save my file as .pdf ready to be printed in a3 ?

My colleague is trying to save PDFs from Word 2011 using our office letter template, by using either Print>Save as PDF, and using Word's own Save As>PDF.
The PDFs that this produces seem to be corrupted, as when opening them using either Adobe Acrobat or Preview, Finder uses 100% CPU power (in Activity Monitor).
When I open the documents he has created using the template, or use the template to create a new letter from scratch, I can create PDFs just fine. If he makes a new document without the template, he can create working PDFs as well.
We are opening the templates and documents from, and saving to, a server.
We've tried re-installing Mac OS X to no avail.
Anybody have a clue what could be happening?
Computer details: Macbook Pro, Core 2 Duo 2.53ghz, Mac OS 10.6.7No, that didn't work either.
I actually managed to get it working by re-saving the template as a .dot-file instead of dotx. That enabled my colleague to save as a non-corrupted PDF. Weird...
I just hope the problem won't return... Keeping my fingers crossed

They are obviously off the screen somewhere. Did you have a dual monitor set up at one time? You can try increasing the resolution of your screen to see if you can get a part to show or maybe just resrt the preferences (Cmd(Ctrl)+Opt(Alt)+Shift as you restart AI) to reset the defaults.

In Adobe ExportPDF, can you take an existing PDF and delete existing pages? For example, I have a 5-page report and need to delete pages 2-4. Is this possible? Thanks!

You can do this with Adobe Acrobat.
If you are using Export PDF it is a long procedure.
You need to convert your PDF in word or powerpoint.
Then you can edit the document & again can create PDF.

Basically i use guides a lot when creating or editing PDFs, however when i am done editing and i save my work and close it. The next time i open up the pdf to edit, my initial guides when i created the Pdf is missing. Entering your Wifi password will not - unless I'm missing something completely - disable your iPad. The only thing which will disable your iPad that I'm aware of is entering your passcode for iPad incorrectly multiple times.

If you have forgotten your password for your router the WPA or WPA2 key as it's also known as they you will need to log in to your Router and setup a new WPA(2) key.

After years of owning all things Mac, I am finally trying to use iChat, and can't get it to work. I am using gmail, and I see my buddy (no camera icon next to her name), but all I can do is send a message--the video and audio chat icons are gray, as is inviting to a video chat under Buddies. My buddy has the same problem as I. We are able to do video chat through gmail, but I had hoped to use iChat. I am using OS 10.6.8, iChat v. 5.0.3. What am I missing?

iChat will Video chat to another iChat in a Jabber Buddy List (Google run a Jabber server for GoogleTalk)
However it will not Video to the Web Page login to iGoogle or the Web Mail Page login. (where people can Google Chat as it were in a Web Browser).
Nor does it video to the Google Talk Stand alone app for PCs or any other Jabber apps on any platform.
iChat uses a connection Process called SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) which is also used by other VoIP devices.
Jabber/XMPP invited the Jingle Protocol for Jabber Applications.
Google have included this in their Standalone app and the Plug-in for Web Browsers on both PCs and Mac (you can get this as a Standalone Plug-in or as part of Chrome)
More on this here This article has been changed several time in the recent months. It now claims a greater involvement by Google in writing the Jingle Library (Although now Google's version does not work with the others)
This tends to mean that using the web Login to Google to Chat also cannot video chat to other Jabber apps that are using Jingle.
If your Buddy is using iChat then check the Video Menu has two items to Enable Camera/Video chat and Microphone/Audio chats are ticked.
In the View Menu the Show Status Items should be ticked (Selecting them toggles the tick and the function On or Off)
It could be Internet speed but at this stage I would doubt this at this stage.

I am using Photoshop CC2014 15.00. In the pop-up menu for the Fill command there is a place for Scripted patterns. Within that part, the tree and the picture frame are grayed.
Why? I've seen demonstrations on how to use the feature but mine doesn't work. I checked the updates and I have the current version.
