Share the SVG pie...

HTMLDB's charting ability and the ease of it is one of my most favorite.
I'd like to be able to display simple 2-D SVG pie chart in my app on 8i so I can get away from the nasty dependency on "M$ Web Component" ...
i am wondering if you could be so kind to release
some code to do that.
Thanks

sorry, but we're not allowed to release even small portions of the code that makes up htmldb. i'm sure you've figured this out, but those svg regions in htmldb really just parse your query, determine the result set, and use that result set to generate the necessary svg tags that make up the graph. this process, of course, isn't trivial, but it is doable.
hope this helps,
raj

  • Creating a SVG Pie Chart With Different Portion Linking To Different URL

Is it possible to create a SVG pie chart in which different portion will point to different URL. on HTML DB version 1.5.1.00.12
For example i've tried something like this:
on page 20 i have a svg pie chart
    select
    'f?p=&APP_ID.:21:#APP_SESSION#::::P21_DD_SALESORG:'||region,region,code from demo_region;
i have a query in page 21 like this:
    select country from demo_country where region= :P21_DD_SALESORG;
so when i click on a particular region on the pie chart on page 20 the value of item
P21_DD_SALESORG on 21 should be set.
but the value of P21_DD_SALESORG is always getting passed as NULL from the pie chart.
I've tried it on HTML DB version 1.5.1.00.12
    Look for an early reply
    Thanks & Regards,

    hi user445907--
your link column in your chart query seems to us the correct syntax, so i'd imagine the issue is with your data/query or the item name in question...
check the query and data: make sure your query returns valid values to be passed of to P21_DD_SALESORG. if so, you should see your links correctly formed as you hover your mouse over the individual slices. if your links look good then check your item names.
item names: if your links above look okay, then might you be setting the value of the incorrect item? please confirm that. after clicking a pie slice to get to page 21, check to see that P21_DD_SALESORG is correctly set by clicking the Session link in the developer toolbar.
basically, i'm suggesting that because your link column in your query looks okay, you'd want to see at what point the NULL value is being passed/set. try tracing things from the chart query over to page 21 (and try going backwards if you have to). if you can't find the disconnect, please feel free to set up an example on an instance, where i can take a look.

  • We are a family of 6 - 2 parents and 4 children.. We have an iMac, 3 macbooks, a Macbook Pro and an iPad. We all want to be able to share the itunes library, but it keeps telling us that it can't authorize more than 5 computers.  What can we do???

How can we home share with more than 5 computers?? We are a family of 6 and each has his/her own computer.

You can't. But iDevices don't count. So you should be able to share the 5 computers.

  • HT4865 So who believes Apple should be a bit more cautionary about the sharing of iMessages and other content when several members of a family share the same iCloud account and unknowing can audit each other's iMessages, Contacts, and god only knows what

I think Apple should be a bit more cautionary about iCloud and privacy.  My family shares the same iCloud account as we all enjoy the music we collectively purchase on iTunes; we paid Apple for this feature with some kind of grouped account.  We didn't know, however that this joins our devices so that iMessages, contacts, pictures and just about everything else is shared too.  The unprivate default seems to be to share everything between all devices vs. to allow access by exception or by choice (or by password?).  Sure, when my kids get all my texts I can go figure out why and fix it but that is in my mind the antithesis of privacy and could be quite embarrassing for any family.  I guess it is good for stalking the kids or parents though if they don't know about the partyline approach to privacy.  Maybe a tech solution would be to have the iPhone show somehow the extent of its audience to its user.

No argument from me about the vagaries of using and sharing Apple IDs.  This can lead to unintended consequences, especially in a family situation.
If you're sharing the same ID for FaceTime, you might want to go to Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with separate IDs there too.  Otherwise, you'll end up getting each other's FaceTime calls.
Also, if you need to migrate everyone's devices to separate iCloud accounts to keep your synced data separated, you can do this by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.  Once everyone's devices are on separate accounts, you can go to icloud.com and delete each other's data from your accounts.

  • Can mutliple users share the same library (windows xp)?

I hope the answer to this questions is not completely obvious:
I have set up Windows XP with at least two different accounts.
If I run itunes from one of the accounts, I will get a "itl"- and "xml"-file with the library information in the "~/my music/itunes"-folder related to the account.
If the user adds music to "his" library, the mp3-files show up at the location specified under edit/preferences/advanced (please excuse me if this path is not exactly right, I am using the German version and try to translate) and in "his" library (i.e. the "itl"- and "xml"-files).
I would now like the other user not only to share the mp3-files but also the information in the "itl"- and "xml"-files. In other words: I would like to have a shared set of mp3-files and ONE library for all users which have an account on the system ...
I tried to use links in the ~/my music/itunes-folders which pointed to common "itl"- and "xml"-files, but itunes did not recognise the links but created fresh, empty files.
Any suggestions of how this might work?
    Olaf

I.e. use TWEAKUI to redirect the "My Music" folder of each participating user to a common folder which holds the common itunes library files.

  • How do multiple developers share the same application module

Is there a suggested method for multiple developers to share the same application module? We have 2 developers that will have EOs in the same directory and would like to know how they can share an application module but do development on different pieces of a project.
    Thanks,
    Paula

Try using CVS or any other source control system. Still there are some points to think about before doing big projects, because there are many files which are updated by JDEV without knowledge by the developer. This causes many conflicts using a version control system like CVS.
If you developers both are working on the server part of the application, I suggest using multiple application modules. See this blogs:
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2005/05/27/howGranularShouldMyApplicationModulesBe.html
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2005/07/19/nestedApplicationModules.html
On the client side it depends on which technology you are using (struts, swing, jsf, ...).

  • Can two people share the same library?

I installed a new mac mini which we're planning on using as a media hub and as a machine to sync my iphone from.  I want to have a "Server" login on it just for itunes to run the backend for Apple TV.  However, I'd also like my itunes library on my "Personal" login.  Can I share the same library betwixt the two (if put into the Shared folder?) or do I have to set it up in my Personal and then share it to the Server login?  If I do that, don't I have to login to both and run itunes before it'll work?  I'd like to avoid anything like that because I travel often and want something my family can leave on and reboot easily while I'm away, without giving my kids access to my Personal login.

  • Can multiple threads share the same cursor in berkeley db java edition?

We use berkeley db to store our path computation results. We now have two threads which need to retrieve records from database. Specifically, the first thread accesses the database from the very beginning and read a certain number of records. Then, the second thread needs to access the database and read the rest records starting from the position where the cursor stops in the first thread. But, now, I cannot let these two threads share the same cursor. So, I have to open the database separately in two threads and use individual cursor for each thread. This means I have to in the second thread let the cursor skip the first certain number of records and then read the rest records. However, in this way, it is a waste of time letting the second thread skip a certain of records. It will be ideal for us that the second thread can start reading the record just from the place where the first thread stops. Actually, I have tried using transactional cursor and wanted to let the two threads share the same transactional cursor. But it seems that this didn't work.
Can anyone give any suggestion? Thank you so much!

  • I have added a work colleague to my family's members on iCloud so we can share the calendar for work appointments. However whe heakes purchases on iTunes I now get charged. How can I stop this happening?

ive added my work coleague to my iCloud account so we can share the calendar on our I-phones for work appointments. when he makes a purchase on iTunes i now get charged though so how do I stop this from happening? also can I just share only work appointments or do i have to share the whole calendar with him? Can I select what he sees?

    Hi Frantic503,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
When you are the Family Sharing organizer, purchases are billed to your account unless the family member making purchases has an iTunes Gift Card or iTunes credit on their account. The attached article has more information on how this process works.
    Family Sharing - Apple Support
What I may suggest in your situation would be to discontinue the Family Sharing and use iCloud calendar sharing. Using this method keeps your accounts separate but allows you to still share your calendar.

  • Can two Macbook Pro's share the same Itunes folder(all media in Ituens) on an external drive (like Time Capsule)? How and what issues may arise?

Hey, I have two macbook pros (250 gb). They are both running out of space. My first thought was to share an iphoto library off of Dropbox or our Time Capsule. But, I heard that if one file gets corrupted (interenet cuts out, for example) then the whole library gets corrupted. Well, we're full again and now I am wondering if I could move our Itunes folders to our Time Capsule, sync/sort them both so there won't be any duplicates and then use this as a shared itunes library. So first, is this possible? Both computers share the same itunes account.
Second, if I do, and I purchase a song, show, whatever, does it automatically be added to the itunes library on our Time Capsule and then it is available for both computers to access? Or do  I need to "import" it on both?
Third, does the "file corruption" issue listed above pertain to itunes?
I saw a discussion about this but it was form 2008. I am sure things have changed a bit since then.
    Thanks for the help!

    No.

  • How do 2 iphones share the same itunes library?

My partner & I initially had 1 ipod classic for home use with a massive library. We then had 2 smaller ipods for car & travel etc. So we have 1 apple ID where we both purchase music & just share it.
I then bought an iphone & happily used it. My partner then recently got an iphone. Now, some texts & photos get shared on both phones ( as we use the same apple ID) & they both get filled up with data as they share everything.
What is the easiest way of seperating them. If we now get another ID presumably we wont be able to share the itunes library we've built up (ie 30 years worth of Cds & last 6 years of downloads) and don't want to copy it.
V confused. Dont want to lose individual photos or numbers & we are v low tech!

  • Can 2 different computer accounts share the same Itunes library?

Does anyone know: Is it possible for two users on the same computer to "SHARE" the same iTunes Library so you don't have to duplicate libraries on the hard disk?
So far I have been having to load 25GB of Music on my wife's account and the same 25GB itunes library on my account.
I have put the single iTunes files in the "PUBLIC" music folder and set that as the default on the ITUNES "Preferences" but still does not work for some reason.
    Thanks

Yes sir, did that but it still has the same problem.
Now when I go to my wife's account (everything identical , playlists, etc. in both accounts) it does not know where to locate the songs. I place it in the default and it works, but as soon as I go back to the other persons account, the default has automatically changed back, and none of the playlists (although still intact) have again lost the location of the actual music (located on in the Public Music folder) very frustrating.
It would seem to be simple.

  • My wife and I share the iPad. Can we set up separate accounts to log in (like on our Mac)?

My wife and I share the iPad. Can we set up separate accounts to log in (like on our Mac)?

Good question, but I'm 99.9% certain the answer is "no".  Here are some considerations:
Think of the heritage of iOS.  It really started with iPhones and maybe iPods.  These devices cost a whole lot less than a Mac.  They are generally not thought of as shared (with exceptions, of course, as is true for you).
Think of the backup process.  i-devices typically sync with one iTunes on one computer.  How would an i-device with multiple users enstantiate this?
Anyway, all this is to say I'm convinced you cannot do what you're inquiring about.
