Share without invitation

Hi, I'm interested in buying a cr.com account and I'm using trial version.
I'd like to know if it's possible to share a report to everybody without inviting, just using a link (like https://na.crystalreports.com/opendoc/documentXML.jsp?cmdP1=untitled87368361rpt*&token=&cmd=askView&cmdBlock=all&cmdP2=) in my web-site without login requests.
Thanks

Hi Anderea,
When someone clicks on your link, they will be prompted to logon to cr.com so if they do not have an account yet, they will definitely be out of luck.  If they do have an account, but you have not granted them access to your document then they will see an error indicating they have no rights.
So the short answer is no, the url will only work for users that you have invited and granted view rights to for that document.
I wanted to point out as well that the url you have posted here is not of the supported format for direct viewing.  The url you would want to use is something like https://na.crystalreports.com/opendoc/openDocument.do?iDocID=xyz.
You can get more info about the viewer urls in this document: http://resources.businessobjects.com/ondemand/crystalreports/resources/report_hyperlinking.pdf

Steve

  • Sharepoint 2013 - Share site invitation email does not work?

    Hi,
Recently upgraded to SharePoint 2013, but the share website / invitation feature does not work.  From the server I can telnet over port 25.  The AV is not blocking, nor the Firewall.  The IP is allowed over HubRelay for Exchange.
    I've been through this article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/cc263462.aspx#section2
    Any ideas?  Thanks, Matt.

Yes, where is it? At least give full explanation before marking your answer as answer by yourself.

  • How does a family member accept family share without iOs8?

I want to add a member of my family to join me in family share.  They have the latest version of itunes on their Windows computer.  They have an iPhone 4 (so can't load ios8).  Is there a way for them to accept so we can start sharing our itu

I do want my daughter to be able to download apps or updates to existing apps even when she is not with me, but that doesn't seem possible without sharing passwords.
That is indeed not possible. She'll either need to re-acquire all those apps through her own iTunes Store account, you'll have to give her the password to your account, or you'll have to do all the updating for her.
    Regards.

  • How can I map a drive to Azue file shares without user intervention or having a user logged on?

I have the file share created, and can manually map the drive. I have even created a batch file that will create the drive mapping.  One step further, I used the following regedit to create the mapped drive:
    Regedit:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    add new string value:
    value name:  MapS
    value data:  c:\azurefileshare.bat
I have a scheduled task running a batch file running the net use command, and the drive is available, and I can create/delete files, so access is not an issue.
All works fine if I log onto the server, however, what I am trying to accomplish, is to have that drive mapped upon reboot without having a user log on.   Checking the log file running the net use command when no one is logged on, I get the following:
    Status       Local     Remote                    Network
Unavailable  S:        path of file share
    Microsoft Windows Network
    The command completed successfully.
    New connections will be remembered.
Is there a way to accomplish this?  Thanks in advance.

    Hello wdick,
Thank you for your response and getting back on this issue. I am sorry that the blog that I referred to was not available. I pretty much thought that you must be referring to the ‘File Services’ which is in preview yet. I recently had another user with a similar
question but currently, the users can access the files using only 'Interactive logon'. You can refer to this link:

  • Auto_master, mounting afp shares without username/password in plain text?

    Hi,
i'm trying to mount afp-shares from a Synology Diskststation and an Airport Time Capsule via the automountd.
I've modified the /etc/auto_master as follows:
    # Automounter master map
    +auto_master            # Use directory service
    /net                    -hosts          -nobrowse,hidefromfinder,nosuid
    /home                   auto_home       -nobrowse,hidefromfinder
    /Network/Servers        -fstab
    /-                      -static
    /Synology               /etc/auto_afp   -nosuid
    I've created the /etc/auto_afp:
    iTunes -fstype=afp afp://"Username":"Password"@DiskStation.local/iTunes
    Data -fstype=afp afp://"Username":"Password"@AirPort.local/Data
Providing Username and Password works fine, but is there a way to make this work without the Username and Password in plain text?
    Thank you.

An applescript application set as a user login item should be a better choice.
I'm just about to work this out for an SMB mount of a users Windows home (augmented AFP homes are breaking preventing the 'Mount UNC path' option in the AD plugin).
Post back if you still want info.

  • Publish calendar events to all users without invitation

    Hello,
I was wondering how i can publish a calendar event on all user mailboxes without the acknowledgements of invitations.
i.e. i want one person in our organisation to publish and maintain all mandatory holidays.
I can not find a suitable way to do this as all of the users will get invitations wich they can ignore or forget. I want this person to publish events while overruling the possibilty of accepting invitations.
We are running Windows Server 2008R2 with Exchange Server 2010.

    Hi,
We can create all holiday events in a calendar and export the calendar to a PST file. Then using New-MailboxImportRequest cmdlet in Exchange 2010 to import the calendar to all users mailboxes by administrator.
To import the calendar to all mailboxes, we can run:
    Get-mailbox | New-MailboxImportRequest –FilePath \\Exch1\pst\HolidayCalendar.pst -IncludeFolders “#Calendar#”
Here are two articles about the detailed information:

  • Reading an SMB Share Without Mounting

I'm sure hte answer to this must be incredibly simple, but when I Google, almost every link is about mounting SMB shares.
I want to be able to read an SMB share on another system from the command line WITHOUT mounting the share.
For example, in Windows, I can type "dir \\servername\directory" and get a listing of the files on an SMB mount without having to mount it.
Can I do anything like that from the command line in OS X?  (I tried variations, like "ls //servername/directory" and did not get anything that worked.)

There's no support for the Microsoft \\ syntax within the various tools of the command line environment.
You're using a CIFS/SMB/Samba remote access path and particularly attempting to use a feature and syntax that is specific to Microsoft Windows (that \\ stuff) and its MS-DOS command mode.
It's probably easier (and likely best) to use Filezilla or another similar tool to remotely access the share via ftp or sftp transport or another path when the GUI is required, or to use the command-level tools scp or sftp (which can be configured for a no-password login), or to use ftp (wildly insecure, and largely incompatible with firewalls), or to simply mount (or automount) the share.
Alternatively and if the other system involved here is remote and you're being blocked by a gateway firewall, then you might look to use a VPN into the remote network gateway or (less desirably) a VPN that's been port-forwarded into the remote server.  That can allow the volume to be mounted, and also avoids exposing CIFS/SMB/Samba to the Internet.
The most direct command-line analog to what you're trying here is the smbclient command-line tool.  For details and features and limitations of that, issue the smbclient --help command, or see the available Samba smbclient documentation.  Though it can do what you want, I"d still look to use scp or sftp (directly at the command line, or via a GUI client) or a VPN here.

  • Automounting smb share without network daemon

Hello everyone, I have an issue. I'm using networkmanager to manage wireless connections. While installing networkmanger, the wiki told you must remove network daemon from rc.conf, and use networkmanager instead: that's exactly what I did, and networkmanager does the job just well. I told you that because I think that it is the reason why i'm failing to auto mount smb share through editing fstab. If i put in fstab the command described on the wiki (cisf mounting) I get a FAIL at booting, it says it can't find the share. Otherwise am I wrong and the reason must be related to something else, like syntax errors? Thank you.

Trying to follow your advice, I did the following: I put into /etc/fstab
    //server/Videos$ /mnt/video cifs noauto,noatime,username=Y3KNET/Arch,password=Ilove69,ip=192.168.1.1 0 0
    //server/Public$ /mnt/public cifs noauto,noatime,username=Y3KNET/Arch,password=Ilove69,ip=192.168.1.1 0 0
    then, in /etc/rc.local:
    mount /mnt/video
    mount /mnt/public
    and, as a second try,
    sudo mount /mnt/video
    sudo mount /mnt/public
but without luck: no mount actually takes place. Anyway, if i type the above code after logon into kde, everything works flawlessly. Where am I mistaken?

  • Siri Appointment without Invitation

Has anyone figured out how to set an appointment with someone using Siri, without it sending off an invitation to that person? I would like it to calendar the event without sending an email invite.

For example, if you want to add a calendar event with "Tom Jones", say...
    "Add appointment titled Tom Jones"
then follow the remaining prompts from Siri.

  • Share without download

Is there a way to share a pdf for viewing only, disallowing
    others to download the file?

Thanks Matt. But what I need to know is, "is it possibleto share the app without downloading multiple times. We are away from fast download speeds and when it takes three hours to download a 245 Kb app once, that's 9 hours to do it three times. There's no way we can download the latest IOS version at 750 Mb at these speeds unless we visit the major population centres.

  • How do I 'home share' without Home Sharing??

I used to use Home Sharing so that my MacBook Air in another part of the house could access, import photos from my iMac iPhoto library (my main iPhoto library).
Home Sharing no longer is an option.
Until I eventually get around to Yosemite and "Photos" or whatever Apple has now come up with in the name of "improving" (read: "confusing") things, HOW can I IMPORT or view photos from another computer's library without home sharing to help me out?
Help! I have people visiting in a few hours and a lot of photos to show them, but we can't all stand around a cramped tiny office space watching them on my iMac. I need my MacBook Air to show them but the MBAir can't access them!

Make a copy of your iPhoto Library on an external drive and open that copy on your MacBook Air - See this link:

  • Is there a way to watch another family members movies through family share without downloading the entire movie?

Before family share my kids were signed in under my apple ID. They had the ability to just stream whatever Disney movies they wanted that we owned. Now they have to download the entire movie to watch it? Seems a bit over kill to me. Plus those movies fill up their entire ipads.

Think of all this as two entities, 1. your Apple ID's and 2. Apple services (and by services I mean iCloud, iTunes, Home Sharing, Messages, FaceTime, Support Communities etc etc).
You can choose to use a different ID for each service, thereby creating the flexibility you are looking for.
For iCloud (which syncs contacts, mail, calendars etc) I suggest you each use your own ID, this means you will have your own contacts etc.
For iTunes, you might use separate ID's or you might both use the same one, I make no suggestion here because there are benefits to both ways. You may want to keep your music, movie, books and app purchases separate or you may want to unite them to avoid potentially paying for things twice.
For Home Sharing I suggest you use just one ID, it doesn't matter who's it is, so long as you both use the same one, this will ensure that any device using home Sharing can see and play the content from anyone's library on the same network (regardless of which ID it uses for iTunes) that is logged into the same home sharing account.

  • Can you use family share without sharing payment?

My wife and I purchase items separately with our individual apple ID's. Is there a way that we can both use family sharing but not use my payment info? We have no kids but have separate spending accounts that we like to keep separate.
    Thanks.
    -Brian

There are some arrangements which would benefit from sharing whilst two family members continuing to have a separate payment option. I'm trying to search for that solution. I would like to share purchases with my wife that she is interested in and visa versa but I only want to pay for things that I'm interested in. If there is some album that I really like and she doesn't then we want it set up that I could pay for that alone rather than through a shared family account. Even with that we would still appreciate sharing each others apps and music when it's something we would like to have on our devices and shared mac.
When you've switched to family sharing and family members choose to pay with a second payment method other than the shared credit account?
