Shared Apple ID - How do I set up a new ID but not lose any of my apps

Hi there,
My wife and I have been sharing an Apple ID ever since she got here first iPod Touch (version 1). She asked me to set up the Apple ID in her name as she didn't feel comfortable with iTunes and setting everything up. When I bought my first iPad, is continued using the same Apple ID as I had downloaded some apps on her iPod that I would use. Now, many iDevices later, I am looking a getting my own ID to utilize the iOS8 and Yosemite to its full potential.
I have looked into the Family sharing but I am not sure this is my answer to my problem. I am sure that I am not the only one who has this as an issue, so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Family Sharing is the only way to "transfer" your apps. Creating another Apple ID will not allow you to do so.

You can go to Settings>Messages and turn off Messages. Then go to Settings>General>Restrictions and turn on the the Restriction that prevent changing accounts.

Apps and media are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
You cannot transfer from downloads from one AppleID to another, nor
can you merge AppleIDs. If you wish to start using your own AppleID,
you will have to redownload all the items you wish - paying again under your
AppleIDfor anything requiring payment.
Logout of iTunes under your old ID and login using the new ID.

I am selling my late 2009 iMac, OSX version 10.9.4, to a friend, so I want to wipe it clean of my info, but want to keep programs to pass on to him, such as iPhoto, iMovie, Windows for Mac, etc. How do I accomplish this?

Before you sell or give away your computer, in addition to the steps listed in this support article, take these steps:
1. Run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test. The buyer will do this (or he should), and you don't want to be surprised by the results.
2. Reset the PRAM and the SMC, which might contain personal information.
3. If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
4. If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
5. If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted.
6. If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
7. If the machine has an internal hard drive, erase the one remaining data partition with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you upgraded to OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall an older OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by starting up in Internet Recovery mode (option-command-R at the startup chime.) If you installed from physical media, deliver those to the new owner.
If you're selling the machine, or donating it in working order, and it originally shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, then you have the option of installing either from the discs that came with it or from a retail Snow Leopard disc (which you must then transfer to the buyer.) The buyer should understand that if he doesn't get the original discs from you, he won't get the bundled iLife applications or the Apple Hardware Test. Replacements for the original discs can be ordered from Apple.
The new owner will have to redownload any software that came from the App Store, including OS X upgrades, under his or her Apple ID. Remove the machine from your list of registered products. If it's still covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, transfer the coverage to the new owner by following the instructions in the AppleCare Terms and Conditions (under the heading "Transfer of Plan.")

I have recently changed internet provider and have made the changes in Apple Store and that is working fine with new password but I can't access the Apps Store on i pod as it is still showing my old e-mail address.

Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sing i with new one.
Also did you create a new Apple ID or just edited the original ID?

- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

I have two iPhones (5) with one Apple ID. My husband updated his phone to iOS8 last week and I did mine today but it looks like we have to set up separate Apple ID's in order for the phones to work properly.

I'm pretty sure if I need to use Find My Phone I can log in from any device into that stupid cloud as long as I have activated it on the phone first. Sometimes I do use that method when traveling but not for daily use.
We can share our iTunes products easily between the phones on both the computers.
I don't trust the cloud. You may feel free to do so but I won't and I won't buy a basic phone because of my mistrust. Although the stupid cloud claims your data is secure or encrypted etc, it's a database. Period. One giant database and SOMEONE has to have access to the information UNENCRYPTED to manage, restore etc. There ARE master users or whatever you want to call them and I'm sorry, I just don't trust. I also have a stalker and because of that I am extra cautious. Don't worry, he's already facing two felony charges and trying to worm out of a jail sentence.

Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account (this disconnects the device from icloud but doesn't delete any data on icloud or on other devices).
If you then want to sign back in using a different ID, do so on the same screen.

You can't use the remote app to setup a network. If your physical remote isn't working you will need borrow another or purchase a replacement.
