Shared calendar not updating

Hello,
I am sharing a calendar with a friend. But if I edit and change the calendar my friend does not receive the updates.
Does anyone have an answer or solution to this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Hmm, something is wrong then.
The calendars shoukd be updatet and synced almost simultanusly on both your accounts. That is if you have set it up to push updates. Check that.
If you still have troubles, I would try to set it up again. And I would create the calendar at www.icloud.com (I have the experience that things will work better then). Set uo the calendar, click share, set it up as a private calendar and add your friends iCloud email and send the invitation. I think it should be OK then

My calendars not updating since getting iphone5
Used to work OK  before I upgraded, but I can't see why it's not happening.
Other device is my wifes ipad and iphone

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Family Sharing Calendar not "sharing" events among family members

    Hi,
I'm hoping someone has a similar issue and can shed some light.
I've setup a Family with myself as the organizer.
We have 2 iMacs, 1 MacBook Pro, 3 iPhones, and 3 iPads used by my three family members.
The "Family" calendar now shows up on all devices but events made on a single device are not showing on any of the other devices.
I've read all I can find and it appears to me that the "Family" shared calendar should sync across all family members without the need to "share" the calendar as we did in the past.
Can anyone confirm that is the case?
As a quick fix I simply "shared" the Family calendar (using email address's of the family members) and it is working, but this is essentially the same way we used to share a calendar.  Just doesn't seem to make sense to me.
Thanks in advance for any insight!
    Jim

I am having the same problem. I have done some testing and have found the following:
If I create an event in the Family Calendar on my Mac it shares it with all devices; however, if I create a new event in the Family Calendar on any of my iOS devices it doesn't share with any of my devices including my Mac. This has only been an issue since I upgraded to iOS 8.1.
I hope someone can help clarify if this truly is an iOS 8.1 issue and when they might come out with another update. This is a big problem for families trying to stay up-to-date with each others schedules.
    Thanks.

  • Calendar not updating in Outlook 2010 but updating on OWA (Ex 2010 with Outlook 2010)

    Hi,
A few users are having this problem including me. There is a room Calendar which was working fine but not anymore. Here what is happening:
User A cannot see the updates in Calendar, if someone has meeting user A cannot see it. User A can only see by visiting OWA
User A create meeting in Room A via OUtlook. User A can see this but not other users. When visit OWA, User A cannot see that meeting.
User A creates meeting in Room A via owa. Everyone can see it.
User A sets outlook in ONLINE mode and now he can see all the updates
So something is going wrong with outlook cache mode that it is not updating calendar or not connecting with calendar. Tried different fixes from internet but not working. Tried to rebuild outlook profile but that works once, but if there is update the same
    problem happens again.
    Hasan

    Hi Hasan,
Since the issue only happens in Outlook cached mode, please check whether “Download Shared folders” is checked in Outlook settings:
    1. Click Account Settings on the File tab.
    2. In the Account Settings dialog box, click the
Email tab, click to select the Exchange account, and then click
    Change.
    3. Click More Settings. On the Advanced tab, check the
Use Cached Exchange Mode and Download Shared Folders check box to have a try, and then click
    OK.
    4. Finish it and restart Outlook.
Then check whether the calendar can be updated in Outlook.

  • Outlook 2007 client reacurrance calendar not updating in mailbox

    Hello,
Using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 client. User has access to a shared Calendar in Public Folder. She makes an Recurrence Appt in Public Folder and invites herself to Appt. If she changes one of the future apt (Location change or something like that) it
updates the Public Folder but not hers. I added myself to this apt and I am using Outlook 2013 and my apt does indeed update. I also can see in "Outlook Web Access" has updated, so just the Outlook 2007 client not updated.
Any thought into why? Unable to Upgrade to user to Outlook 2013 until New year for other reasons.
    thank you for any help.
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
Please first make sure she has installed all available updates for Outlook 2007.
In addition, please have the user temporarily turn off his antivirus and test again.
If still no luck, we may try testing with a new Outlook profile. See:

Please let me know the result.

  • Shared icalendar not updating on other devices

Hi all, I share my calendar with two others, one using an iPhone the other an iPad both with iOS6. My updated calendar does not update on their devices. I understand that the syncing process occurs when the device is connected to WiFi & being charged? Am I correct & is there any other reason why they are not updating?
    Regards,
    Roy

I'm having this same problem. Suddenly no shared libraries can be seen. At first I thought it might be a software issue (all computers have been upgraded to iTunes 7.1.1). But now from reading this, I think it must be a router issue. I just replaced our router this week, switching out a Linksys 4-port router for another one almost identical. I did no configuration to the router, just plugged it in, reset it a few times, and it worked. I connect to my ISP via DHCP, so no settings required.
But it must be the new router that's causing the iTunes problem. Does anyone know of a router configuration that might help? Maybe some port forwarding? Does anyone know the port over which itunes would be sharing its library?

  • Family sharing calendar not created

i have set up Family Sharing for two family members and myself.  They accepted my invitatioms and everything appears to be working properly, but a shared calendar wasn't created 'automatically' as promised.  The shard photo album was created and I have already approved two app purchases for my son, but am not sure what to do about the calendar.  Any help would be appreciated.

I had this problem but my iCloud calendars were turned on.
Tried lots of stuff but finally powered down and restarted the device and it showed up just fine.

  • Shared variables not updating in exe

    Hi,
I've created a project with 2 vi's, they share data via Networked Shared Variables, one vi writes while the other reads.
The data is passed between the 2 vi's whilst running in the Labview 2009 SP1 development environment, but when I create an exe, the screen values in the reader vi do not update at all.
In the build specification I've tried both including the vi's which reference the shared variables and the
option to list the shared variable libaries for deployment at run time, as methods to overcome the problem.
Please, any clues why the exe should fail to allow shared variables to pass data ?
     thanks,
    Gary.

    Hey Gary,
I've just created a project to replicate the issue you are having and indeed when I built the application, the Shared Variables were no longer working. This is because I hadn't deployed the Shared Variables in code; which I think may be the problem that you're having at the moment. When create a Network Published Shared Variable library in LabVIEW, it auto-deploys itself for the development environment; but this is definitely not the case for when you build an executable. Instead, you must deploy the library yourself in code.
In the attached zip folder, please follow the following instructions and hopefully you'll be able to fix your VI:
Unzip the folder and extract the files.
    Open up the project.
Look at the project layout. Notice the SharedVariableLibrary.lvlib and inspect the Shared_Double variable.
Look at how the Reader.vi and the Writer.vi interact with the variable.
Go into the Main.vi. See that I make an Open Application Reference VI and Invoke Node to manually deploy the library in code. You'll have to change the path to this library to match the directory structure of your own computer, so just make sure it navigates to the library in the extracted folder.
Check out the Build Specifications. I've done nothing here except ensure I only include the Main VI. Finally build the VI and run the executable.
You should see that this will give you a working Shared Variable setup. The Machine Name input for the Open Application Reference is blank because you only want to communicate with the localhost i.e. Your computer. Therefore by explicitly deploying all libraries you require, your VIs should be able to communicate effectively.
    Does this solve your problem?

  • Contacts & Calendars not updating

Any additions or changes I make in these areas are not updating on the iPod. I am doing this through iTunes. In one case, I deleted a contact and re-entered that person with the new phone number which was the only new item. Still won't update. When I sync the Pod, iTunes does say "updating calendars and contacts" but no go. Thanks for any help.

You ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below. If you use any iWork applications, you may need to delete them and redownload them from the App Store.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.10 ("Yosemite"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

  • Calendar not updated during importing MS Project

    Hello guys,
I tried importing our previous schedule which was in ms project format into p6. It was imported successfully but when i browse the calendar date, it was "??" . I try to change my default calendar & assigned 6day/work but still not updating when i go to the activities. Is there any fastest way to shange the caledar? As of now, I'm updating them one by one activities which is very difficult for me to change 900+ activities.
    Thanks in advance.
    nhel

    Hello,
You can add the Calendar as a column, and then change the Calendar for the first activity (at the top).Next, select all activities. Then, press and hold the Shift key, click on the Calendar cell of the last activity (at the bottom), right-click and choose "Fill down". That should assign all the activities to that calendar.
This method works while assigning all activities in a project to a single calendar, or while filtering out a group of activities and assigning them to a calendar.
Another method is to use a customized Global Change, but the above method is a whole lot quicker and easier.
    Hope this helps!

  • Calendars not updating...

After installing Mavericks, my desktop calendar is not updating. When I hit refressh, the "updating..." dialogue appears and never goes away. However, changes made on my partners desxtop calendar are showing on all of our iOS devices? Any thoughts on how to address this?
    Thanks!
    Caanan

  • Calendar not updating on home screen

Bit of an odd one. I don't know if this is since upgrading to 2.2 or since getting a new iPhone last week on warranty but recently, the calendar has stopped updating the date on the home screen and wont update unless I go into the calendar application each day.

Well this gets odder, it's consistently not updated the last 2 or 3 nights but just set my time to 23:59 and tested it with the iPhone awake and asleep and it has done.
So no idea what's going on

  • Calendar not Updating on devices of subscribed members

I run a calendar off my Macbook Pro and have multiple people subscribed to the calendar.  The calendar is not updating on their devices when I create a new event, but syncing up fine on my devices (I have it running thru iCloud). Any ideas why the people subscribed to the calendar aren't getting the updates on the calendar?

Not sure why there's a lag in updating.  You can force your calendar to refresh by opening the calendar app, tapping Calendars at the bottom to show the calendars view, then pulling down and releasing on the center of the screen.
You might want to update to iOS 8.1 which was released today (available over the air by going to Settings>General>Software Update).  That may help.

  • Calendar not updating from iCloud

My iPhone is version 4 with IOS 5. I turned on iCloud and all worked well to start with. Suddenly the calendar stopped updating and has not done so since. I have tried a complete reset with no improvement. Has anyone else had that problem?

Have you tried looking in settings/notifications at where Calendar is listed it might be moved into 'Not in Notification Center' apps don't know why. I had this happen with another app.
    Hope this helps
