Shared Itunes account to new account - deleting Icloud information

I have always shared an Itunes account with my soon to be ex-husband, who will be keeping the account.  I need to remove my Iphone information (contacts notes etc) from Icloud but keep those contacts in my phone.  I have my own i tunes account already.  How do I make sure I can delete my information from my husbands account but not lose the contacts in my phone

Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.  After everything is turned off you can safely scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from your phone, not from iCloud.  If his phone will continue to use thie account it will not be effected by this.)  Next, set up a new iCloud account on your phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting your contacts and other information from the old account, and deleting his contacts and other information from yours).  These changes will be reflected on each phone.
This will not move your photo stream, however.  If you have photos in photo stream that you haven't backed up anywhere else you will need to save these before deleting the account.  If your computer is syncing with your iCloud account, you can download your photo stream photos to your computer directly.  If not, you will need either open them one by one and save them to your camera roll or use an app like PhotoSync, which will wirelessly transfer photos from your photo stream album to your computer all at once.  (Without using an app like this your computer will only import camera roll photos, not photo stream photos.)
Finally, to change the ID used for purchasing go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the Apple ID, sign out, then sign back in using your new ID.  To change the ID for iMessage go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in with your new ID.  Go to Settings>FaceTime and do the same thing.

  • How do i get the movies that I bought on iTunes onto my new macbook through iCloud?

how do i get the movies that I bought on iTunes onto my new macbook through iCloud?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly iTunes and iCloud are different things, movies are handled by iTunes.
iTunes now has iTunes in the cloud and iTunes Match, but neither deals with movies. Your purchased movies will need to be copied from your old computer to your new one.

  • Move itunes library to new Account on same mac book pro

I created a new account (account 2)  on my mac and my itunes did not automatically move all data in itunes on my old account  (Account 1)
I opened up the sharing in system preferences and I have clicked on file sharing, and see both accounts . But No music in my itunes library.
How do I get the music ??
    Thanks

Move it to /Users/Shared/ and then into account 2's Music folder, or drag the folder directly there and authenticate yourself.

  • Sharing itunes library  between two accounts on the same imac

We just got a 27" imac and my wife and I have our own log on accounts. We share our itunes library. I have moved our itunes library to the shared folder so both of us can see its contents and pointed itunes on both user accounts to that shared folder. But, if she or I purchase an app or music it doesn't go into that shared folder. So I have to copy and paste it into the shared folder. Am I missing something there should be an easier way? I just want us to share the music and iphone apps we purchase.
We are using the same itunes account on the same imac, we just have different user accounts on the imac. Thanks

  • Sharing iTunes library between two accounts on a single iMac

My wife and I are using the same iMac but through 2 separate accounts, which is quite neat to separate files, preferences, etc.
We have 'ripped' our home CD collection into the iTunes library of my account, and I am now looking for a way for my wife to belisten to the same music on the same computer from her own account.
I have tried the 'Share' functionality in iTunes, but this seems to open access to the library to other iMacs on the networkd, which we don't need.
    Any pointers?

Note that when it says "publicly accessible location", it needs to be a place where everyone has read and write access. The most common such place is the Shared folder in the Users folder.

  • How do i transfer my itunes credit from old account to new account?

how do i transfer my itunes credit from an old account to my new account? Curiously, my money did not follow me....

Maybe he had a kid and wanted to give them the gift of his iTunes account?
Yes, but he wants to take his money out of it first.  Nice Dad.
It's freaking ridiculous that this can't be done.

  • Can I replace primary iCloud account with new account?

Would like to replace my @me.com iCloud account with the e-mail address I have been using for the last 20 years. Can this be done?
Can I save the contests of my @me.com iCloud account to the computer hard drive?
    Thank you,
    prb2712

    From the knowledgeable Roger Wilmut:
You can't change the primary email address, the one you created when you opened an iCloud account (or if you migrated from MobileMe the address you log in with) other than by opening a completely new account.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621
However you can create three 'email aliases' - these are extra addresses, not accounts, which deliver into the same inbox as the main address.
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a490a
It's actually quite a good idea to give out an alias address rather than the main one, since these can be easily changed should you get spammed.
New addresses will be @icloud.com: at present not everyone's account has been updated to use the @icloud.com address and if yours hasn't you won't be able to create an alias until it has.

Just delete all your personal info in this new iTunes account, change the AppleID to another emai l address (make a bogus one at gmail or somewhere). Then don't use this AppleID.
Then update your old AppleID with your current email address.

i think icloud should let you update your purchases so that the games will sync to your new computer and they will be backed up. i am not sure how to do this so you do not lose the levels you have completed.
if not can you export the game to the new computer with the current settings?
or another way is to sync to the new computer and redo all the levels you have completed again and it should take you less time?

  • Trouble moving previous purchases from old account to new account

How do I move previous iTune purchases from an old account to my new account?  The old account was previously set up for work use.

You can't since they were purchased using a different Apple ID. You will need to ask Apple to make such a change.

  • HT1206 move downloads from old account to new account

I have an old iPod under an old account loaded with music.
I now have a new account and a new iPod Touch and would like to move all mucis to the new iPod.
It's OK if I have to close the old iTunes account to do this.
How do I transfer all this music to my new iPod with a new account?

If this is the case, then why is there a transfer purchases function when you hook an iDevice to a different iTunes account?  If that doesn't transfer ownership to the new account, what good is it?  What is the point of transfer purchases?
I ask because my wife and I have been purchasing from appstore and iTunes under separate Apple IDs for years.  Recently we added our son to the mix by giving him a Touch.  I've been researching and understand the right way to share is for us to set up a family apple ID.  So I'm looking at how we can tranfer our independent purchases to the family ID.  The news on this board seems to imply it is impossible but I can't believe Apple truely is that evil a company.
I'm gifting my wife my iPad2 since I'm getting a 3 for a work service award.  When I plugged it into her iTunes account, iTunes asked if I wanted to transfer ownership of the apps on my iPad to the "new" iTunes account.  Is that the solution?  Simply load the idevices with all the goodies from each AppleID and transfer the purchases to the new family iTunes account?
If I do this, will me and my wife be able to access the same iTunes account on our respective computers to sync our devices from our own pc and have iTunes keep the programs we want in sync whether she downloads it or I do?
The latter sounds promising, but I don't want to screw any thing up with the transfer ownership function without knowing for sure.

  • Changing from old account to new account but want to keep apps and data.

Is it possible to sync my data from my iPod to the same iPod but using a different account.
For example, account number 1 has my current data; I now have account number 2. I want to switch my apps and related data to the same iPod under the new account name. How can I make the switch?

I have a similiar issue but with a slight difference. My account originally was an AOL account and I had a few songs purchased under that account but since have switched to an apple account. Since then I have upgraded from a "mini" to a 3rd gen iTouch and also have several computers authorized. My issue is that I have "lost" 31 songs when I synch my iTouch to iTunes (the original songs purchased on the AOL account). When I synch I get an error message that I am "not authorized to them on this computer, and to authorize the computer...". This computer is authorized. Help!

  • Hwo to tranfer purchases from one account to new accounts?

Hi, my wife and two sons were buying using one iTunes account, now each has their own Itouch and want to create individual accounts, can they transfer their prevous purchases to their new account/itouch?

All iTunes purchases are tied to the iTunes account used to originally obtain them & cannot be transferred to another iTunes account. While you can continue to use this content, you cannot transfer it to your account.

  • Old Account 2 New Account

    Hello,
I want to create a new account on iTunes and import all the songs from the old account on iTunes. Is this possible or do I have to purchase all the songs again on the new account?

See this -> About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
"Make sure you deauthorize your computer before you upgrade your RAM, hard disk or other system components, or reinstall Windows. If you do not deauthorize your computer before you upgrade these components, one computer may use multiple authorizations. If you find you have reached 5 authorizations due to system upgrades, you can reset your authorization count by clicking Deauthorize All in the Account Information screen. Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than 5 authorized computers or if you have used this option within the last 12 months.
*To deauthorize all computers associated with your account*
Click iTunes Store in the Source pane.
If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
Click the Account button again (your ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All."
