Shared Service Accounting with SAP PCM

Good afternoon colleagues,
I'd like to have more detailed information about using PCM for the service cost accounting shared service based.
I want to understand how to integrate a shared service model with an ABC or basic costing model and if it's possible to ensure balancing between the costs that are allocated at enterprise level and those managed at service providers level (Shared Service).
I will try to be clearer....
An ABC model operates starting LineItem and useing center of responsibility, activities and cost objects dimensions. Instead Service dimension, which allows an automatic cross-charging accounging is disconnected from the line item costs .... How may I recovery linkage between LineItem value and the service cost? Is it possible?
Thank you very much for your availability.
Giuseppe

Hi Thomas,
you gave me a good idea
I submit another request .... could I use the service attribute at  activity level and the grid summaryactivityvalue?
As following modelu2026
Act1 --> Actatt S1
Act2 --> Actatt S1
Act3 --> Actatt S2
Service 1: rule cellvalue = summaryactivityvalue(,,,S1) Service 2: rule cellvalue = summaryactivityvalue (,,,S2)
so I can use the calculations already carried out at ABC with the use of LineItem and provides balancing with the cost determined at the level of activity.
Unfortunately, sometimes it is not immediately make the link between LineItem and service, there are LineItem covering several services in amount not defined (joint costs)
thanks again for Your clear reply,
Best Regards
Giuseppe

  • Service account with DOT

    Hi,
Is it possible to make a user account to service account using ktpass if there's a dot in user name e.g. the user account is : sap.bo.
    Is it possible?
    Thanks

Use the following syntax for the service account:
    <DOMAIN>\sap.bo instead of sap.bo(at)SERVER1.COM
the command should look like this:
ktpass -out vinsso.keytab -princ BOBJCentralMS/sap.bo.server1.com(at)SERVER1.COM -mapuser <DOMAIN>\sap.bo -pass password -kvno 255 -ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL -crypto RC4-HMAC-NT
Replace <DOMAIN> with the name of the Windows AD domain your service account is defined in.

  • HT4859 I shared itunes account with my daughter, had never synced my phone with computer, synced with computer and chose daughter's phone instead of create new phone, all phone contacts are now gone replaced with daughter's - is there no way to get contac

I shared itunes account with daughter's phone, never synced my phone with home computer through itunes, synced tonight with itunes but choose her iphone and it restored all her info on my phone, all my phone contacts, text messages and photos are gone  - I had auto backup to icloud daily - is there any way to get phone numbers and texts back off icloud?

If you have been backing up to iCloud your camera roll photos, text messages and other data and setting should be contained in the backup.  Restoring the backup to the phone should recover them.
To do this, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings (which will erase the phone), then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

  • Should I switch from shared iCloud account with wife to two separate accounts with family sharing?

My wife and I have always shared 1 iCloud accpunt between our our 5s phones, iPad, and an old 4s which is now just a toy for our toddler. With ios 8 I am not sure if it is possible or practical any more. We do it to share purchases and the photo stream and a Google calendar.
With ios 8, it seems to be impossible for both of our phones to share their location. From what I can tell, only 1 device at a time on the icloud account can share its location. Is that a correct assumption? And icloud no longer gives the option for each of us to sign into separate itunes accounts on find my friends. We are forced to sign in with our 1 shared iCloud account. So we can no longer use find my friends to see each other's location.
So has ios8 rending sharing an iCloud account useless? I'm wondering if we now need to have separate accounts and link them with family sharing. Will we lose the benefits of having our 1 shared account? I just wanted to make sure we wouldn't lose anything if I set her up with a new account and linked it with family sharing.

I have lots of questions about this and other things too; I have been sharing my account with my wife and daughter for years through 10s of iPhones and iPads and with the introduction of IOS8 we are having lots of new and not so fun problems.
As to your question about location.  I have three iPhones and one iPad using the same account now (on IOS 8) and all four devices show up with Find my iPhone.  My wife's was not showing up today but I went in and turned on the new feature "Send last Location" and all of a sudden her phone was able to be found again.  Not sure if that will solve your problem but just wanted you to know that I have the four devices all showing up in Find my iPhone with a shared account.

  • Deleting application locks shared services account on Oracle Server

Whenever I need to delete an account from within Essbase, ( right click on application delete->application ) the final result is that the HSS account that shared services uses to connect to our oracle server gets locked.
Unlocking it and stop/starting everything resolves the problem, but I would like to stop this from happening.
All other aspects of logging into shared services, etc. admintration, provisioning, all work OK. Just the delete application.
    On Redhat Linux, Essbase 11.1.1.3

The bottom line is that we don't certify running Forms using the features of a terminal server to serve up any part of those Forms. That doesn't mean it does not work, but its not certified or supported.

  • Shared Services issue with MSAD

Hi, I recently configured shared services to authenticate to a remote MSAD server. the configuration went well and all the users in the remote MSAD came thru to the shared services, and I can even provision the new users.
however, after the provisioning, no new users can login to the apps that were provisioned for them, there's always the authentication error.
p.s. there's already a working MSAD domain on shared service. I ran into the issue when I tried to configured a second one.
    thanks

    Hi
In shared service web interface, you will find in the top menu "synchronize external directory" or something like that.

  • I am sharing a account with my mother. I would like to change my itune account to a separate account. How can I do that without affecting her itune account?

I share a itune account with my mother.  I would like to set up my own itune account keeping all my info and library from my itune account.  How do I go about setting up my own account without affecting her account and her itunes?  It seems if she gets a new app it appears on my phone and visa versa.  After I change my account will there be a problem syncing it with my phone and ipad?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The simple answer is yes you can. On a single user computer, the user can have secondary iCloud accounts, which they can add through the system preferences > mail, contacts and calendars. The only drawback here is that only the primary iCloud account can use photo stream. This can be worked around by having a second user account on the Mac. Each user account could then have a different primary iCloud account, one for you and one for him, your account could then receive your photo stream pictures.
Are you also aware that you can have iCloud on your PC and download your photos stream pictures to it.

  • Data Services communication with SAP - physical/logical server name

Iu2019m having trouble connecting Data Services to SAP.
    Environment details:
Data Services version 12.2.1.2 on Windows 2008 SP2
ERP and SRM on Windows 2008 (database SQL Server 2008 SP1)
Repository on SQL Server 2008 SP1
All servers (SAP and Data Servers) have had logical systems defined over the physical system names and they use these logical names to communicate with each other.  The Data Services server, hence has two names (logical and physical) and two corresponding IP addresses.
The problem weu2019re having is that when the SAP server communicates back to the Job Server it needs to use the logical server name and corresponding IP address.  Currently it is using the physical server name and IP address, causing communication failures.
When I run the host_name() function within Data Services it returns the physical host name.
Is there a way to determine how Data Services identifies itself and whether this can be manipulated?  Is it possible to configure Data Services to run in a logical environment?
Any thoughts or commends would be appreciated. Thanks

Looked at this from another angle.  We were using Direct Download transport method which processes in the foreground and uses the SAPGUI for communication.  It seems as though it was how SAPGUI communicates with the SAP server on Data Services behalf that was causing the problem.
We managed to motivate to get a share setup between the SAP server and the Data Services box which allows us to use Shared Directory transport method.  This also allows for background processing - eliminating the part of the SAPGUI communication that was causing the problem.

  • HT4623 I updated my phone today on a shared itunes account ( with my daughter ).  We are both getting each other's messages now.  Seems to be tied to I message.  Any suggestions?

I updated my phone today on our family itunes account.  I currently have the iphone 4 and needed updates. At the end of the update I got a message that my phone info would now be the same as my daughter's ( who usually uses the itune account). I didn't have a yes or no option. It was a statement.  Now I am getting her text messgaes and she is getting mine if the other person has imessage.  I also got her app's when my phone updated.... HELP!

    Hi, jandmmiller.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This issue would be caused by both devices sharing an Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime.  I would recommend signing out of iMessage on his device.  Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.  Once this is done, I would recommend creating a new Apple ID specifically for iMessage and FaceTime here.  Then he would need to sign in to iMessage and FaceTime with the new Apple ID.

  • Home Sharing, Network accounts with Portable Home Directories, iTunes 10

I am using OS X Server an on that server is my account. I am also using a MBA with that same account using portable home directories (PHD). The MBA home directory does not contain my iTunes music, that is somewhere in /Users/Shared, because I do not want the added burden of encryption (the home dir is FileVault protected on the MBA, but not on the server)
Thusfar, I worked on the MBA with iTunes and used rsync to sync with the server. There are reasons I want to stop that route (which are not important for the question)
I have just upgraded to iTunes 10 before trying the following:
    1. Enable home sharing on the server
    2. Look for shared libraries on the MBA
And found out that my account on the server needs to be logged in permanently and iTunes running to use Home Sharing that way. That stops the ordinary syncing of PHD so that is not a solution. Besides, I do not want to have an account logged in all the time.
So, given the scenario that I want full two-way syncing of my iTunes library between my computers and that I prefer not to have an account logged in on the server, is there a solution?

I ended up creating a dedicated local account for iTunes serving on my mini server.

  • My children are currently sharing an account with my ex husband, how can create them their own account so they are not dependent on him, will they lose all their music they have bought on his account?

As far as I can tell, they don't have their own libraries or store accounts

Thank you this helps, also once they create their own id, will their purchased songs be theirs?
    Yes.
Can they share a library together somehow??
They can either share an Apple ID, or, if they create two seperate accounts, they can authorize the same computer with two different apple IDs so purchases across both accounts are accessible on the same machine.
An additional option for sharing an iTunes library across machines on the same network exists:

  • Sharing iTunes account with my daughter, now she needs her own. Help!

I hope some smart person can help me.
I use an old G5 Mac and have my music on it. I unexpectedly got a foster daughter (long story) and she's a joy to have, but her music tastes are quite different than mine. I purchased music for her on her own laptop (a PC using Vista) on my account. So my music on is on my computer, her music is on hers but both are my under account.
Now, she may be moving back with her biological Mother. Can I somehow transfer her music/app library on her PC to an account that I set up for her? I've spent a LOT of money on silly Pop music like Hannah Montana! I refuse to repurchase it!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Music downloaded from the iTunes store is DRM free, so it will play on any person's computer. You can simply transfer the music files to your daughters computer and she will be able to play it no problem. Whilst there is probably some obscure clause in the iTunes store terms and conditions saying you cannot transfer music to another person, given the familial circumstances, and assuming you delete the tracks from your computer upon giving the tracks to your daughter I wouldn't see any problem.
As for apps, if they are free apps then she can simply redownload them on her account. If they are paid apps then it's a little more awkward and you may need to contact iTunes store support to see what they can do, if anything.

  • Advanced and complicated architectural situation: Shared Service Application with Workflow ?

    Hi Forum,
I am currently encountering a peculiar situation in our SharePoint 2013 environment (Let's call it Farm-1), and I would really be thankful for your creative suggestions.
Whenever we create any simple workflow on our Farm-1, it NEVER worked, and we get the exception:
RequestorId: 26f1da47-f3e6-0816-0966-df958cd57c7d. Details: System.ApplicationException: HTTP 401 {"error_description":"The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error, either turn on

I have seen a handful of posts suggesting running the User Profile service and its Synchronization.
Also, I have see the presentation of: Spencer Harbar and Wictor Wilén on: (http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/SharePoint-Conference/2014/SPC356) where at minute 28:00 an slide 40 stating that as a requirement: User Profile Service Instance and Service Application,
Users must be populated in the Profile store and have valid User Principal Name (UPN).
    My question is:
On our environment (Farm-1) we are consuming the User Profile service application from other separate SharePoint 2013 environment? Any workaround?
We really do not want to set up another User Profile service application onto our environment (Farm-1), Any possible workaround to make the current shared User Profile sufficient to run the workflows correctly?
    What can be done?
    Thank You

    Hi ,
For troubleshooting this issue, let's verify the followings:
What action did you use in your workflow? Please test just using “Log to history list” action, compare the result.
Please go to Central Administration->User profile service application, check whehter the user that you run workflows has user profile in Manage User Profiles.
As you are using SharePoint 2013, what platform did you use when you created workflows? Please try to create a new workflow using SharePoint 2010 plaform.
Whether this issue occurred on all web applications in your Farm-1.
Please open a problematic site collection->Site settings->Manage site features, make sure the feature “Workflows can use app permissions” is activated.
If you met this issue only for SharePoint 2013 platform workflow, you can also try to re-register workflow service via Register-SPWorkflowService.

  • Shared Service Authentication Failure with Essbase.

Hi can anyone help. I am using 9.3.1. SS & EAS and an instance of Essbase are already installed and configured i am just adding in an additional essbase server to scale out due to application growth.
I have added in a new essbase server, successfully added the new server into the EAS console. Also Successfully externalised the users.
On selecting OK on the dialogue box to say that the convert to shared service mode was successful the EAS console has chucked out the following error message:-
Analytical Services user [essadmin] Authentication Fails against the Shared Services Server with Error[Failed to authenticate user essadmin against provider Native Directory].
Now as i did not have the orginal essadmin password, i was unable to use this (and this does have a native account in SS). I Did however use essadmin as a username and created a new password, i have not however created this as a native account in SS as i thought the system would get confused with two essadmin accounts and i don;t want to affect the current essbase system that is running. The users would kill me!!!.
Does anyone know how i can correct this issue?
    Thanks

It would really help,if someone can reply and give advice on the problem mentioned in the original post.
