Shared Services 11.1.2 Unable to remove assigned user from a security group

In Shared Services 11.1.2 - trying to remove a user from the assigned users list of a security group. Initially, I am able to remove the user and the assigned users total decreases by one - but when I relaunch the group properties - this user is still in there? The change does not hold. Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks,

Shared Calendars / Room Lists and automatically forcing them to users based on Security Group Membership

Good morning all,
I need some help achieving the following in our Exchange 2013 Environment. First off, we have Exchange 2013, but all our clients have Outlook 2010.
Here's what I would like to be able to do:
1) create/manage public calendars / rooms in exchange 2013
2) force these shared public calendars / rooms to users' calendars who are members of particular security groups
3) give edit permissions / "booking" permissions for the shared calendars so select users are able to make changes to the shared calendars, as well as accept/deny requests to "book" shared room calendars
Any one got any resources they can give to point me in the right direction?
I have already created two mailbox room resources, and have them set up in a room list in AD. But need to know the above as far as creating a shared calendar for events, and forcing these calendars / room lists out to users based on security group
membership.
I don't want my users to have to know how to add a shared calendar...that would be a nightmare explaining. I just want it to show up.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated, thank you!

1) I recommend using Room Mailboxes for resource calendars because it just works better.
2) This is a standard feature of a Room Mailbox.
3) You're pretty specific here, but I think this is also more or less available with a Room Mailbox combined with folder rights.
I don't know any way to just make them "show up". You'll have to teach them. Well written instructions can work wonders.

Removing the user from standard task group

Experts,
I need to remove the one user from the standard task "Display MC Document (outbound w/o IDoc)". Since it is a standard task I'm not able to make any changes.
I hope I need to change in the agent which is assigned to this task. But donno how to find the agents assigned to this task.
Please help me in resolving this.

Hi Naveen,
If that user assigned as the 'Possible agent' of the task then you can remove the user easily.
In the workflow template, go that activity. Under the Task ID there is a option called 'Agents' and click that icon to open. In the new screen, the possible agents of this task will be displayed.
Select the desired user and delete it.

I would like to know if there is a way I can remove a user from all distribution groups in Microsoft 365. I have a rather large list of users that this would need to be applied to though.

I would assume yes since there is a cmdlet called, "Remove-DistributionGroupMember", you usually have to have to post some code of what you have
tried or working on to get further help from most other people here.

How to remove user from custom DLU Group

I have created a DLU policy that creates a local user, and places this user
in a custom local group (Group is already present on the system). Now I want
to remove this user from this custom group and place it in another custom
group. I have created a second DLU policy to place the user in the new
custom group. The new custom group is added fine, but the old custom group
assignment also remains. How should I set up the policy so that the user is
removed from the old custom group, or is this not possible?

Unable to see assign users or groups option under a groupin Shared services

I have a bizzare issue related to Shared services.
In Application 1 (on PROD env), after I select the group, right-click and go to properties, under "group members" and "user members" tabs, I do not see the options to assign access to any of the existings groups (we have about 50+ groups). I can only view the existing users/groups, even though I have been given admin/proviosioning rights, while the other admin can assign access to the same application.
While for Application 2 (on DEV) I am able to see all these options and I am able to assign users and groups to any of the groups. I do not see them as a browser issue, as I have opened both these links on the same IE window, but on different tabs.
Unfortunately, I can't test App1 on TEST/DEV, as we do not have its copy on here, it is all on PROD and App2 is only on DEV.
Any ideas?

I would of thought it was provision related, can you try setting up another user as a test with the correct provisioning such as provisioning manager of the different product areas and see if the new user works.
If it does then it points an issue with your account or the way it has been provisioned.

Because of this the the material documet which shows $6725.43-(Negative) in GRIR account.when i check this this transation was originated through MI10(Physical inventory differenvces posting).May be user done wrongly.
Now the problem is this
-          how this transaction originated?
-          Why is this posted to GR/IR account?
-          How do we correct the open item in the GR/IR account?
-          What need to happen to rectify the mistake?

when i check the material document and accounting document,it was showing that said amount in negative sign and transaction done by MI10 means posted differences with out reference to document.
it means the user may entered wrongly i think.
was there any GRIR account for MI10?
MI10 does not have reversal or cancel?
so how to resolve it?
as per my idea it can be done by FI posting.
please help to resolve.

I am unable to remove a host from my Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2. I receive the following error:
Error (2606)
Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.
Recommended Action
To find out which job is locking the object, in the Jobs view, group by Status, and find the running or canceling job for the object. When the job is complete, try again.
I have already tried running the following command in SQL Server Management Studio
SELECT * FROM [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_VMM_Lock] where TaskID='Task_GUID'
I received this error back:
Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier.
I have also tried rebooting both the host and the Virtual Machine Manager Server. After rebooting them both, I still receive the same error when trying to remove the host.
Here are my server details
VMM Server OS = Windows 2012 Standard
VMM Version = 2012 R2 3.2.7510.0
Host OS = Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter
Host Agent Version = 3.2.75.10.0
SQL Server OS = Windows 2012 Datacenter
SQL Version = 2012 SP 1 (11.0.3000.0)

How many hosts are you managing with your VMM server?
The locking job might be the background host refresher job. Did you see any jobs in the jobs view, when the host removal job failed?
If there is no active jobs in the jobs view when this host removal job fails, can you please turn on the VMM tracing, retry the host removal, and paste back the traces for the failed job (search for exception and paste the whole stack)?

Unable to remove unused user variables (Captivate 6)

Even after removing all Advanced Actions, and every object on a slide, and every asset in the project Library, I'm still unable to remove any user variables. CPT prompts me that the variable is still in use; it's not.
Is this a known issue? What's going on here? Any workarounds?
Copying-and-pasting slides to a new project loses all the Advanced Actions and in-use user variables, so that's not an option.
For now, I'm just living with a cluttered collection of unused variables, but this is of course less than optimal.

Thank you, Lily. Your tip got me part way there -- I was able to remove some of the variables. There are still some legacy user variables that I'm unable to remove -- CPT still thinks they are in use; they aren't. Bah! I suspect there is some sort of file corruption at work.
Per your thought, I'm going to put in a feature request for a Usage function for variables. Great idea.

Apple TV unable to remove tv shows from favorites

After the latest upgrade I am unable to remove tv shows from favorites and when I rearrange the icons they go back to the previous order after a few minutes. Is anyone having this issue? Any ideas on a resolution or is this just another of the many bugs in the latest release?

Removing a user from iTunes help?

We are using Lion, have 2 separate accounts, share the iTunes/iPhoto files under shared libraries and now I want to remove iTunes/iPhoto from my wifes files and want to use my (1) iTunes/iPhoto which is mine as the owner. This will eliminate some of the permissions issues we have had in the past and we don't need 2 copies of those on the IMac. How is this possible?

Remove SP User from SharePoint subsite

I am trying to remove a user account form all sub sites except few.
I am making use of following command.
Remove-SPUser "Contoso\jdoe" -web http://webapp/sites/site1/web1/
But this command is removing the user from all the sub sites including the site collection.
Can anybody please help to delete the user from specific subsite only.
