Shared Services Provisioning log file?

Hi!
Is there any log file in Shared Services 11, for the modifications in user provisioning? I could use a log on the provisioning modified, user name and admin name .
Thanks!
Jorge

The list of shared services logs is available at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epm_install_troubleshooting_1112200/ch03s12.html
You could also have a look at security auditing in Shared Services http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/hss_admin_1112200/cas_security_audit.htm

  • Hyperion Shared Services Import security files where to define roles-11.1.2

    Hi,
    I want to create the shared services security import file. Do anyone knows where to define the group or user roles for it. Earlier we have to changes in CSImportexport.
    Now in version 11.1.2.1 things are different.
    Do anyone knows about it.
    Thanks!!!!

    Thanks for the reply.
    I am taking export only first and this is what i got from export, if you see below under role id there are some codes generated internally, if I have to give any group different roles like planner, application creator, interactive user... where in csv file I can define those.

  • Shared Services Provisioning

    Hi,
    we are using autom. processes for group provisioning in HSS 9.3.1.
    We are using an txt.file with the following records:
    #provisioning
    project_name,application_name,role_id,product_type,user_id,user_provider,group_id,group_provider
    HUB,Global Roles,Administrator,HUB-9.3.1,,,Supervisors,Native Directory
    #provisioning
    project_name,application_name,role_id,product_type,user_id,user_provider,group_id,group_provider
    HUB,Global Roles,Application Creator,HUB-9.3.1,,,Supervisors,Native Directory
    After we load this into HSS, the group has only the provisioning of the last record. How can we add roles to an existing group with existing roles?

  • Hyperion Shared Services Provisioning Report Automation

    Hi,
    Provisioning Report feature in Shared Services gives pretty much everything I am looking for. I need to send this data to another system that monitors entitlements on a daily basis. Is there a way to run the provisioning report in batch mode?
    Plan B is to use LCM, but I haven't had any luck yet in exporting entitlements using it. Does LCM export external users provisioning information? Below is the export xml I am using.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Package>
        <LOCALE>en_US</LOCALE>
        <User name="User" password="pwd"/>
        <Task>
            <Source type="Application" product="HUB" project="Foundation" application="Shared Services"/>
            <Target type="FileSystem" filePath="/HSS-Shared Services"/>
            <Artifact recursive="true" parentPath="/Native Directory/Assigned Roles/HFMApps" pattern="MYHFMAPP"/>
        </Task>
    </Package>
    Appreciate your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Ethan.

    If you want to automate a provisioning report then probably looking into the Java API would be a good option.
    LCM will be able to extract the external users provisioning against applications in CSV format though it will be a seperate CSV per application.

    Hardcode IP addresses instead of the server names in the essbase.cfg file and the Shared Services CSS.XML file for the Shared Services server references.
    Restart SS/Essbase, provision an MSAD user, then do a Refresh from Shared Services in AAS.
    Verify your MSAD userID then shows up as an Essbase user in AAS(Display User list for the Essbase server)
    As long as the MSAD users show up in the user list, they should be working.

  • Cannot create a new MSAD directory in Shared Services...

    My Hyperion version is 11.1.1.3 on windows 2003 server.
    I;m trying to create an External Authentication provider using "Configure user directories".
    I provide all the parameters as I have provided in the development machine in the same network.
    However on Clicking Finish the Cursor appears to be doing something and then the screen just remains there. The record is not created for MSAD neither it gives any error.

    I had this working on the same machine just last week.

    Is there any password change happened from MSAD user using to connect to the MSAD directory ?

  • Shared Service Error 11.1.2

    Hello All,
    I created a native group in shared services & provisioned administrator role for each application to the group. I assigned few users to that group. When i log in to the planning I get an error Failed to sync User Provisioning. I checked the
    users on Essbase side & all of them show Essbase & Planning access.
    I m using planning 11.1.2. Please let me know if there is anything more that i need for the synchronization of users?
    Thanks!

    Hey LdeM,
    Thanks for your reply, Oracle support just got us a workaround yesterday as well. But they haven't specify what's the cause of this. they were just comparing the .jar
    Resolution:
    1.     Deleted the css.jar from Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/jlib/11.1.2.0
    2.     Deleted the tmp directory under Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\epmsystem\servers\FoundationServices0
    Thanks

  • Shared Services Delegated Admin

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a delegated administrator role in Shared Services for HFM. I have created the delegated list in Shared Services and assigned a manager to the group. However when I log-in as that user I am only able to view the groups I have assigned to the delegated list, I am not able to provision users to those groups.
    Any ideas on what needs to be done so that group manager can provision users to the groups?

    You want to look at the Hyperion Security Administration Guide to understand Shared Service, Provisioning and External Authentication.

  • EPM 11.1.1.3 Shared Services and Registration

    Hi all,
    I installed EPM 11.1.1..3 on a windows 2003 server
    Install is ok. I then used config tool to configure repositories (Oracle 10g) , deploy ( Websphere 6.1) and register with shared services :
    Here is my issue : I can log to shared services but I cannot create any application group : log says I try to add a duplicate name ( tried several times with different names , still same error ) , I cannot provision anything for user admin ( shared services console says no application is available or insufficient rights)
    During configuration for eas, planning... , database connections where ok, deployment ok but they all failed the registration with shared services. Log says there is an oracle error 1722 , invalid number !!
    When externalizing users in Essbase , it fails saying "UnableToGetNodeRevisionDescriptor"
    Checked database settings ( UTF8) looks fine. I tried to deploy shared services with tomcat same problem...
    If you have any ideas or hints , I would appreciate
    Thanks

    Hi Christophe
    Try to reinstall shared services then run configuration only for shared services commons setting and database. after that configure "server deployement. then stop shared services web application and open LDAP server. start it again. check that shared services works perfectly by launching the web app.
    After that configure the other products one by one.

  • Registration error with 9.3.1 Shared Services

    Initially I believe I chose to configure AAS, APS, and Shared Services all at the same time after installation...a mistake I now know.
    Im trying to undo that mistake but even a total uninstall of all 3 products and then a reinstall/reconfigure of Shared Services fisrst still gives me the same error when I try to register AAS or APS.
    Any thoughts? At this point do I need to re-image the server? Im still getting the error posted at the end of this post.

  • Converting Shared Services (Native) users to MSAD

    Hi All,
    We are on version 9.3.1.
    We have configured FDM with Shared Services and currently only use native users. This means that our FDM users are all authenticated via HSS.
    We are just about to configure an MSAD directory and convert native users to MSAD.
    We will also be configuring FDM with the same MSAD server.
    Does anyone know how FDM handles user migrations? Will FDM automatically pick up MSAD users once they are deleted from the native directory and converted to MSAD?
    Are there any additional steps we need to be aware of??
    Thanks for your help.
    Seb

    Hi,
    Im ok with the config but Im wondering if FDM will be clever enough to convert native users to MSAD.
    Say we have a HSS user called Test1 with a password of Password (the Use Target System field is checked when creating the user in FDM). This user is authenticated against Shared Services when logging on to FDM.
    During the conversation, native users will be deprovisioned and deleted from Shared Services and their provisioning info will be imported against the MSAD provider. At this stage FDM should not be impacted since FDM security is separate from HSS.
    Once I configure the MSAD provider in FDM, my Test1 user will have a password of say Feb2010.
    Will FDM automatically pick up these config changes? Will FDM security for this user remain unaffected?
    Thanks again for your help.

    this similarity is quite odd. Since last friday we are not able to connect o analytical service vua EAS/SS user management and also the analytical server windows services are not starting anymore, essbase logs gives 1 relevant message:
    Analytical Services global application does not exist at Shared Services..
    We have been changing ip numbers of servers (but flused dns cache too) and also changed default admin password.
    I haven't got a clue what to do. Fortunately we are still in in an OTA environment

  • Shared services trouble shooting

    Hi
    I installed the 9.3.1 on my machine...mistakenly my machine was shutdown and openLDAP service was corrupted , I do have back-up of shared services folder so I replace the regular SS folderr with that. Now the problem was I am unable to see the Hyperion planning , Reports, Business rules to provision . I do have only shared serrvices>glodal rules, So I again registered planning ,reports ,EAS with shared services using config utility..but I am not succeed..Is there any way to view all of them in the provision list.So that I can provision to different users.I I didn't configure again (after ldap corruption)anything under shared services of config utility.but the funny thing I am able to login in to planning as admin, but I am unable to see it in the shared services provision list... Can anyone tell me what exactly happend in the background of this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Have you tried running the sync option in shared services, this syncs shared services repository with open ldap.
    Administration > Sync Native Directory.
    I am not how succesful it will be now you have been registering and provisioning again but worth a try.
    Cheers
    John
