Shared Storage is not showing in SErver pool physical disk .

Hi i have added couple of images to give you exact picture what i am doing .. please have a look
OVM can see Shared storage from Openfiler

if i remmeber, When i tryed with NFS share from openfiler, its worked before ... but this time i am trying with ISCSI target ..

is there any thing do i have to do to make it work ??Check to see if the physical disk appears under the default volume group for your san. If not, refresh the san and wait until it does. Also, make sure you have an admin server configured for that san and that your Oracle VM servers are in the default access group.

Not getting the server pool in the list of server pool

We are facing following issue. Can you please help on this. Or how can we get help on this. I would be thankful for this.
We have created a server pool which consists of two vm servers. Two vm servers we created manually.
We are using following steps to create third virtual server.
1. Click "next" on "create virtual machine" screen.
2. Click "next" on "installation media" screen
3. It asks to select a server pool from the list but we are not getting the server pool in the list of server pool which we created earlier.
We did this exercise before and we got the server pool name in the list which allowed us to create virtual machine. Now when we reinstalled the vm servers machine and also vm manager, we are not able to do this once again.

please check the status in Server Pools ( it need to be in Active). then check in the Servers the status need to be in active in VM Manager.

"shared" section does not show up in the itunes window

I'm trying to use Home Sharing on iTunes but the "shared" section does not show up on the left hand side of the screen where it should be, so now I cannot use home sharing. Help?

It doesn't show up until you go to the iTunes Advanced menu and select "Turn on Home Sharing".

Shared Lirbaries are Not Showing up in Itunes 7 - URGENT

Oddly enough the shared area is not showing up in my Itunes. I can't see any other shares. In fact there is no shared title heading on the left side of my iTunes. Any idea how to fix this? I really need to fix it ASAP.
I have tried toggleing all of the settings and also have tried enabling and disabling the windows firewall the only potential program that could be blocking it on this PC?
It is a windows XP PC.

Then if the Shared library isn't there and it's looking for Shared library the other person's library has been turned off for others to view.

My storage is not showing the correct space

Why my storage is not showing the correct amount of space? I have MBA mid 2013 with 121gb. However my storage show a different value than its suppose to be especially on the apps. I google the problem, mostly its because of the time machine but I never use the time machine. and some of my friend tells its probably a junk. is the third party apps like apps cleaner and clean my mac is helpful? I attached the screen capture of my storage. As you can see the value of apps is 162gb in fact my flash is only 121gb. its doesn't make any sense. Please help.

Do not use third party apps such as CleanMyMac on your Mac. They have no effect what so ever on storage space. Your Mac runs maintenance in the background for you > Mac OS X: About background maintenance tasks

Fetch shared storage usage info from windows server.

I am trying to retrieve usage related info of shared storage attached to a server by using:
WMIC logicaldisk get size,freespace,caption,drivetype /Format:csv
The output is fine. But here the Drive type for drive-D is showing as 3, though its a Netapp Lun. Please let me know how to get Lun information. Its becomes tough for me to identify a Netapp volume if it is showing Netapp as Drivetype 3.
I do not have powershell installed in all the servers.So i can not use PS.

The link I gave you was not meant to be a exact copy/paste of what you should run, it was just so you could see that someone else managed to determine whether a particular volume was an iSCSI drive or not by using WMI to query the Win32_DiskDrive class and
look at the Model property.
In their case, as you can see from the link I posted (regardless of the language used), the Model property had a value of "iSCSI" when it was an iSCSI drive.
How you use this information is completely up to you: batch/VBScript/PowerShell/C#, whatever. I'm just pointing out what WMI classes to query and what values to compare against.
You're already using WMIC, so just continue using that if you're more comfortable with it.

My shared folder is not showing on the left side of my itunes.

I recently got a media server connected to my wireless router and was able to configure it to be used in itunes. My problem is that my Itunes in my mac book pro does not show the shared folders on the left side no matter what I do. In my wife's imac the shared folder is there and I can stream the music in my media server on to her Imac.
Please help.

Shared CD does not show applications

I used to share a CD with an application on it from the server to a number of clients with our previous 10.3 server. I started doing it again with our new XServe, and it no longer works. At first, the application icon shows up at the clients, but after a little while, it becomes a ghost icon (grey outline) and then disappears.
I made a copy of the CD to the harddrive, and then shared that. I was able to access the application from my own client computer. I was happy.
This week, same issue; ghost and disappearing icon.
The app icon in Workgroup Manager shows a "no access" graphic over the icon. The ownership is the server Administrator, but Administrator cannot change any of the permissions?!?

Sidebar does not show mounted server shares

I have several Macs. On my iMac which is connected to the network via ethernet the finder sidebar shows my server in the shared section as well as the mounted server shares in the devices section which is great as I have them in every open/save box. Now on my MacBook (connected via Airport) I can see the server in the shared section but no matterf how many shares I mount they never appear in the devices section. That means connecting to the server each and every time I open or save something which is annoying as you can imagine. I have cehcked every box in the Finde sidebar prefeneces, so it can't be that.
Anyone got an idea?

Shared vm's not showing remotely

I set up a virtual machine, shared it and installed wsx. when I am home and enter my public facing ip address 68.99.x.x:8888 into my browser and log on to wsx the shared vm shows up as a choice and I can run it fine. however, when I am at work and do the same thing the vm does not show as available and if I click on shared vm's it just has me log in again. is there some different setting I am missing here?

HT1549 Shared files do not show up on network

Macmini running on OS X 10.6.8 on a trendnet router connected to windows 7 pc. Mac will not show up on network after going over the steps to set up file shareing.

Added server not listed in Server pool (not even on the list of servers)

Hello VM Gurus,
I'm playing with Oracle VM and I've encountered problem I can not solve of find existing solution.
I'm playing with Oracle VM version 2.1.5.
I have 3 psychical machines (let say A,B,C). On every machine I have installed WMWare workstation. I've created all together 5 VMWare virtual machines.
On Physical machine A I have 1 VMWare virtual machine named A1. This is used as Virtual Machine Server.
On Physical machine B I have 2 VMWare virtual machine named B1 and B2. B1 is used as Oracle VM Manager. B2 is used as Virtual Machine Server (also Server Pool Master and Utility Server)
On Physical machine C I have 2 VMWare virtual machine named C1 and C2. Both are used as Virtual Machine Serves.
1. I've Created Pool of servers (HA set up) and first added server B2.
2. After that I've added to pool A1 without any problems
3. After that I've added to pool C1 without any problems.
3. After that I've tried to add to pool C2. Process (wizard "Add server") finishes without any problems. But server does not appear on the list of servers in pool. It does not exist On a list of servers neither. If I try to add server again I got error OVS-2005 saying that this server is part of another Pool.
If I stop agent on C2 , delete folder /etc/ovs-agent/db and start agent, I can again add server, but results are same (it does not appear on list of servers. Another try to add server results in OVS-2005 error).
If done also this process:
1. I've stopped agent on C2, deleted folder /etc/ovs-agent/db and starte agent
2. I've removed C1 from pool
3. I've added C2 to pool without any problems
4. I've tried to add c1 to Pool. Same problems as in the past with C2 (not appearing on the list of servers).
I went though agent logs, VM manager logs. I ca not spot any problems. I've connected to database with SQL plus and there was no evidence of failed server there (so data is really not written to repository).
I run out of ideas. What could be wrong? where to look whyt is problem. How to diagnose problem. I believe that Oracle VM somehow treat this two VMWare servers as one, but I can not prove this.
Somebody else had this problem? Any hint what to diagnose further? I understand my configuration is a bit stupid, but I'm trying to get familiar with Oracle VM.
Any hint will be appreciated.

Or use one machine as the NFS server and Oracle VM Manager and the other two as Oracle VM Servers. Trying to run a Type 1 Hypervisor inside a Type 2 hypervisor is fraught with peril. Some Images Not Showing on Server

Five of my images aren't showing up online. They appear fine when previewed on my computer and even appear in Adobe Browser Lab.
I've re-uploaded them several times.
I've deleted them from the server before re-uploading them.
I've created new ones and replaced them.
I've emptied the cache.
I've reset the browser.
I've clicked reload.
I've re-uploaded the CSS file and HTML page.
The page has passed validation.
The top and bottom round-cornered navigation rollovers are missing, and the "Concessions" photo link (lower right corner) isn't showing its rollover image.

As an aside note, whilst your roller image is present an correctly uploaded to the server if you use a lowercase 'i' for the word 'images' in the url link your top and bottom navigation images are not on the server at all, either with the upper case 'I' present:

I'd check and make sure those images are in the correct folder and have been uploded to the server.

Family shared calendar events not showing in Today pull-down

When I pull down the Today/Notification screen, the calendar section will not show any events that are entered in the Family Shared calendar. Calendar events in other calendars show up fine. Is this a configurable option?

I should fix a mistake in the original post. Where I said, "And when tomorrow comes around, those events don't show in the Calendar app," it should be, "And when tomorrow comes around, those events don't show in the Calendar section of notification centre."

External storage device not showing up in finder

I have an imac with an external storage device for back-up. Up to now when I turned on the device it would show up in Finder. Now it's not. I have checked the connections (firewire), restarted the computer but it's not showing up. What should I do or try?

TRY THIS SOLUTION, EASY!
I'm a GOOD mac user. Not a genius, but pretty good, used it for years.
BUT SOMEHOW THIS ESCAPED ME:
In the finder, on the left side, scrol down to DEVICES.
Mouse over slowly to the right of that word and it says SHOW/HIDE.
Well.. Mine were hidden!
That's it!
