Hi,
I have a list where I want to filter in datasheet view.  The filter will work correctly when I first open Internet Explorer:
However, if I open the list again and go into datasheet view I get the following filter which does not display correctly:
Has anyone else come across this?

  • Sharepoint 2013 Datasheet View Navigation performance Issues on large lists

I was recently upgraded to SharePoint 2013.
In SharePoint 2010 Datasheet View, one could scroll through and bulk select 100s of line items in Datasheet view very easily.   Navigating the datasheet view was just like navigating through a worksheet in Excel, and one could use quick select
keys like ctrl-shift-right arrow / down arrow to bulk select items.
After the upgrade to SharePoint 2013, using the "Quick Edit" tab in Datasheet view and changing the Item Limit to 5000 items, it takes an inordinately long time to load the list.   None of the quick select keys like ctrl-shift-right arrow
works anymore and the browser keeps warning about a slow-running script when attempting to select multiple items while scrolling through the list.
The functionality I need is for users to be able to bulk delete all line items in a SP list and copy (from Excel) and paste new line items into the SP list through their browser.

I am running SP Server 2013 with the Dec CU on my internal farm.  This past week, I migrated 1 database containing 1 site collection (also ran the site upgrade to 2013).  Prior to the migration, the users were using Datasheet View in 2010 to bulk
edit and also add attachments through the pop up window while in Datasheet View.  After the migration, performance on their list using IE8 with less than 300 items was horrible for the end user and also for me as a farm admin (I'm running iE11).
I created a new view and performance seemed better for me and a slight improvement for the end user, but still not satisfying.  The end user is using Chrome in the interim until I can test with IE9 to see if that makes a difference.
My main concern is the Quick Edit view.  This user needs to be able to use the 2010 Datasheet View to manage attachments while in DS view.  I created a new DS view on the affected list, but it still defaults back to the Quick Edit view.  This
list is on 1 of 3 web apps in my internal farm.  The interesting thing is that I can create a 2010 Datasheet View in a custom list on a site that was created in 2013 from scratch in another web app on my internal farm.  However, I can only do
this on 1 of 3 web apps.  On my 2013 external farm, I can create a DS view in a 2013 site created from scratch in 1 of 2 web apps.  Creating a list on the 2nd web app in DS view defaults the list back to Quick Edit.  I checked in SharePoint
Manager thinking there was a web app feature that wasn't getting activated.  There was only 1 web app feature that jumped out.  Academic Library Site Safe Controls was activated on the 2 web apps I could create the 2010 Datasheet View on, but
not the other 3 web apps I could only seem to get the Quick Edit view when creating the DS view.
Is there a feature that needs to get activated or one that might need to be deactivated/reactivated?  My internal farm with the 3 web apps is running the Dec 2013 CU and the external farm w/the 2 web apps is running the March 2013
    PU.
Aside from that, I've received complaints on the list performance using IE and not being able to use the 2010 datasheet functionality as noted above.  I haven't received any complaints on being able to only copy 100 items in Quick Edit view at a time,
but I have also noticed that issue.  In my case, the retry doesn't work and I have to delete anything over 100 items before it will save.  I would like to find a resolution on this as well.  Every bit of help I can get with this issue is very
    much appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

  • SharePoint 2010 Datasheet view problem - Office 2007 database engine download not fixing the issue

We rolled out new laptops (Dell Latitude E7440)/desktops with 64-bit Windows 7 and 64-bit Office 2013 a couple of weeks ago. We installed the 2007 Access Database Engine to enable Datasheet views on our SharePoint 2010 site for our employees, and it worked
before Thanksgiving. However, after the holiday, datasheet view is not working for anyone. I have my old 64-bit Dell laptop with 64-bit Office 2010/2007 Access Database Engine, and it still works there.
I have tried the x86 2007 Access Database Engine, the 2010 Access Database Engine, the Office 2013 Access Runtime, with 32-bit and 64-bit IE (trying any combinations to see if I can get datasheet views to work).
The one obvious difference is the new laptops have Office 2013. Has anyone run into this before, and is there a solution when the standard 2007 Access Database Engine download does not fix the datasheet view problem?

Coworker figured it out. After the 2007 Access Database Engine is installed, go to Internet Explorer, Tools menu --> Compatibility View Settings, and add your SharePoint website to the list. Your SharePoint datasheet list views should start working
after that. Might be something particular to Internet Explorer 11.

  • Is there a way to use SharePoint 2010 Datasheet View in SharePoint 2013?

Quick edit mode doesn't meet users' requirement.  They want the header freezing and column width adjustable like what they did in SharePoint 2010.
I understand the Datasheet view is achieved by Access ActiveX control.  Can this be used in SharePoint 2013? And SharePoint 2013 online?

Anyone with a solution to use SP 2010 datasheet AxtiveX control somehow as SP 2013 datasheet view?
    Anupam Shrivastava
That wouldn't be possible, this is controlled server-side.

  • SharePoint 2010 Web Analytics Reports Not Displaying Data

    Hi,
I'm currently having some issue with the Web Analytics Reports. It had been working fine for the past 1 year and suddenly a few months back, the Web Analytics is not showing any data. Have already troubleshoot the issue using the
Troubleshooting SharePoint 2010 Web Analytics Article and all values show the correct date and time.
Therefore, I have performed a more in-depth analysis and found out that the WAHierarchyData table in the Reporting Database only have Root ID
I have verified with a working SharePoint environment and the table should contain all the SharePoint site ID. Also, I have looked into all the SharePoint and Windows logs and all found to be showing the services to be running normally. I would like to check
if there is a way to restore the data in this table or is there any other ways I can trace and troubleshoot this issue.
    Background information
    SharePoint Version: Service Pack 2
    SQL Server: Cluster Environment

    Hi,
I queried the WAHierarchyData table in my environment, and there should be id column in returning result.
You could manually run timer job related to Web Analytics service application and check ULS log for error message.
To narrow down the root cause, we need query SharePoint database tables and compare query result, which might exceed the supported scenario. I'd recommend you open a ticket with MS support, they could reach your envrionment and troubleshoot the issue for
    you. For your convenience:

  • Icon in Application Folder Grid View is not displaying correctly

    Hi there,
It seems that whenever I download and install a new program into my Applications folder, the icon appears incorrectly in Grid View. For example, I just downloaded a program called Dragster, installed it and dragged it into my Applications folder. However now, when I click on 'Applications' on the dock, the icon for Dragster is white with a circle and line through it (similar to a non-smoking type of sign).
If I drag the icon to the Desktop and then back into Applications again, the icon appears as normal - the correct icon for that folder. Why does this happen? Why does the icon display incorrectly when I drag the program directly to my Applications folder... this is what I am supposed to do isn't it (am a reasonably new mac user)?
    Thanks in advance.
    Nicola

hey, i've been experiencing the same problem... i really hope that there is a better answer than "get used to it" b/c, like you said, if i drag the icon to the desktop, and then back to the applications folder, the icon appears normal without the "no smoking sign" circle and slash. also, the icons are normal in the finder window, but have the circle and slash when i click on the applications folder/stack in my dock and it opens in grid mode (when set to "automatic). just wondering if you've had any luck finding out how to fix this problem...

  • RAW filter not displaying correctly

    Hi guys,
i have recently started using Photoshop CC and love the idea of using the Camera RAW engine as a filter i can go back and revisit if needs be, the problem i have is that when i convert my 32bit image to a smart object and then use the RAW filter any alterations i make in ACR don't seem to transfer properly over to photoshop once i ok my alterations. The overall look is usually way to bright and doesnt seem to hold the quality of all the tones. Is this a 32 bit issue as i don't tend to get it so much with 16 bit files.   I am running PS CC 64bit.
Any help would be greatfully accepted, it's driving me nuts.
    thanks
    Lee

There is also a Camera RAW forum you may want to ask in.   Perhaps camera raw does not support 32 bit depth Color.  I do not do HDR stuff so I have no knowledge about Adobe 32 bit color depth support.
    https://blogs.adobe.com/richardcurtis/?p=1044http://
In there I see this also, turn on the “Complete Toning in Adobe Camera Raw” (the histogram is greyed out once this box is checked).
The “Complete Toning in Adobe Camera Raw” will open the combined image into Camera Raw, enabling non destructive 32bit processing.

  • HTML Form Not Displaying Correctly in Outlook 2010 (Exchange 2013)

    Hello,
I have recently migrated to Exchange 2013. Clients are still using Outlook 2010. There is an application that automatically sends an HTML form by email for the users to fill in. The form consists of radio buttons, text areas and drop down list. However,
in Outlook 2010, the form is not rendered properly.
When I clicked the "If there are problems with how this message is displayed, click here to view it in a web browser" link, the email is opened in
IE and the form is displayed correctly.
I also tried opening the same email in other clients, such as Thunderbird, Apple Mail Client and in mobile phones - the form is displayed correctly. I wonder
why it fails to do so in Outlook 2010. The user mentioned that this does not happen in Outlook 2003 and prior to migration (I used Exchange 2010 previously). I have also tried using OWA, but the form does not display correctly
    Any help?
Note: I can't attach any images or links as it is mentioned that my account is not verified yet. I will post some screenshots when it is possible to do so

    Hi
Outlook 2007 or newer use Microsoft Word for their HTML engine.
You can refer this page http://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/ shows
many things that do not work in different clients.I think Someone needs to re-code
the HTML form to make it work in the current versions of Outlook. You can try formatting with text and HTML and see the results.

  • I have created a powerpoint web app in sharepoint 2013 ,i used a ppt in this web app.My ppt image is not displaying correctly in MAC mozilla firefox

I am facing this problem in MAC OS Mozilla Firefox. It is displaying correctly in other browsers like google chrome and internet explorer in MAC OS,but it is not displaying correctly in Mozilla firefox.
I already checked the possible reasons like:
    1. Restarted my computer
    2. Clear cookies and cache
    3. Restarted Firefox in Safe Mode
    4. Troubleshoot all plugins
    5. Reinstalled Firefox
    6. Reset Firefox.
anyone know how to fix this issue.I am waiting for your valuable answers.

Looking at [http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/82591/in-powerpoint-web-app-2013-ppt-is-not-displayed-correctly-in-mac-os-mozilla-fire your screen shot] it reminds me of a problem with Flash on the Retina display not using the full area if hardware acceleration of graphics is disabled. See [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968863 I'm only getting one quarter of a screen on Flash Player on Firefox] (unsolved).
Not sure if that's relevant but does the display of the slide change if you make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled? The checkbox is here:
Firefox menu > Prefences > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Note that any changes take effect after you exit and restart Firefox.
To see whether Firefox actually is using hardware acceleration, you can check the troubleshooting information. Either:
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Toward the end, in the Graphics section, look for this row:
    GPU Accelerated Windows
The number will show a ratio of accelerated to non-accelerated window. If hardware acceleration is disabled, the first number will always be zero.
By the way, is the SharePoint PPT viewer using Flash, or Silverlight, or another plugin? Typically Firefox will display an icon that looks a bit like a "Lego" block in the address bar showing what plugins are in use in the page.

  • Twitter Bootstrap not displaying correctly in Live View in DW CS4

I am having a problem with Twitter Bootstrap templates not displaying correctly in Live View in Dreamweaver CS4. They look more correct with Live View turned off than on. When I turn Live View on, it looks as if it's not finding a style sheet or something, but they are all href'ed properly. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi kooshetty,
Did you preview the site in various browsers and check the display? You are using an older version of DW, and I am not sure if the Webkit engine supports bootstrap code.
    Thanks,
    Preran

Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do).  Inline styles are safer IMHO.

  • Dynamically Link OneNote Page to SharePoint 2010 Page Viewer Web Part

I'm trying to display a OneNote page within a SharePoint 2010 Page Viewer web part whereby the OneNote page can be edited by users with read/write permission, but not having any success.
I was able to save the OneNote page as a web page (.mht) file and display it as a static page within the SharePoint Page Viewer web part.
Any suggestions on how it can be done would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I'm afraid there might be no way to integrate OneNote with SharePoint as your requirment. Sorry.

  • Eurosign not displayed correctly when picked from database

    Hi ..
I'm having a problem getting a eurosign stored in an Oracle Database to be displayed correctly in my Crystal Reports 11.5.
When using the built in (preview) Crystal Viewer, the eurosign is displayed correctly, but when I want to print the report directly to a printer or to export it to pdf the eurosign is displayed as a box?
It only haapens when i need to pick the eurosign from the database. If I insert in a textbox on the report, it will show correctly.
    Please Help.
    Best regards,
    Jacob

What is the source of the text stored in the database. I ran into an issue a ways back where someone was copying news articles from a website into their database and the euro symbol would not display correctly (unless the option HTML Text Interpretation was used).
    You might want to do a quick check to see if it is stored as an ascii character using a formula similar to the following;
    asc(mid({database, x, 1}))
where x = the position of the euro symbol in the string.
The formula result should be 128.

  • Tags in CS3 not displaying correctly

I have pages that displayed correctly in Dreamweaver CS2. In
CS3, the design view is not displaying properly.
For example, if the tag is this: <p class="Body">,
design view is not showing the page properly. If I reapply the CSS
    style, CS3 inserts this: <p spry:hover="Body" class="Body">,
    and the page displays properly.
Please tell me how to NOT use Spry and still get my pages to
display correctly in design view. Thanks.
