Sharepoint 2010 foundation list open(export) to Access button disable?

1. Why In sharepoint 2010 foundation list "Open with Access" button is disabled?
2. Some PCs don't even able to see the "Open with Access" button in datasheet view?

It is a external list
Please firstly make sure you have installed Assess 2010 properly.
And please check if the issue occured in all lists or just one list.
Click File menu after you open the Access, you will see Open. There will open a windows, in the file type dropdownlist(the default value is "All Files(*.*)"), you can select "Microsoft SharePoint Foundation"
http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/154/t/201186.aspx
. Check if the add-on has been enabled by clicking
Internet Options of IE, then selecting Programs > Manage add-ons. Here’s the screenshot for your reference.

The problem stems from having done a custom installation of Office Professional Plus 2010 and only installing Access.
If you are doing a custom installation, you must expand Office Tools and Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support. Under Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support, there is another Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Support. Set this to Run from My Computer,
and the Open with Access button will work.

  • Display wikipage(default.aspx) in mobile view sharepoint 2010 foundation sp2

    Recently I deployed a site using sharepoint foundation 2010 sp2.
    The site has anonymous access to entire site. I developed some wiki pages using wikipage library. it's looking fine in desktop ,laptop,ipad,tab's.
    But coming to mobile view the wikipages are not displaying. But I want to show the wiki page's in mobile view also.
    So is there any setting required to set up for that? SP 2010 Foundation SP2

    Hi  ,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display wikipage in mobile view for SharePoint 2010 foundation sp2.
    How about append "?Mobile=1" to the end of the URL of the home page using Internet Explorer? If cannot access, you need to enable the legacy MobileRedirection feature. This feature is enabled with a SharePoint
    Management Shell cmdlet:
    Enable-SPFeature –identity “MobileRedirection” –URL http://Server/SiteURL
    Correspondingly, you can force a mobile device to load a nonmobile page by entering the URL of the nonmobile page and appending "?Mobile=0" to the end of the URL.

  • Sharepoint 2010 Foundation administrator permission gone

    Hi all experts;
    today, we found that the administrator privilege  on Team Site Owners suddenly gone.  All administrators under this group is no longer to manage the Sharepoint site and the users cannot add and edit any new or existing files.
    It affect the domain adminstrator account too,  any way to fix it?
    Symptoms, under Home page of Sharepoint 2010 foundation, my own user account and the administrator account cannot change the permission on user account.  No Sharepoint Designer feature listed, etc.

    you dont need to rebuild the sharepoint for this, rather the restore the Content database just before when it was working fine.
    I would check at SQL Server, if Content DB is marked as readonly. also check from central admin if site collection is locked as read only or other. could you please confirm it?

  • Web Analytics doesn't work on one subsite in SharePoint 2010 Foundation

    Hi all,
    I receive message on one subsite's web analytics settings in SharePoint 2010 Foundation environment.
    I've tried to delete web analytics service application and add it again, set parameter value for timer jobs which are perocessing and importing this data - nothing helps.
    I see that .usage files are collecting in 14 hive and I have this information for all other sites and subsites except this one.
    A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data for this site has not been processed
    yet
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Mihail,
    What's the status of “Web Analytics Trigger Workflows Timer Job “ in CA ?
    Try to run it again manually for the affected web app and let us know results.

  • Connect Outlook 2013 to Sharepoint 2010 External List fails

    Clicking Connect to Outlook in a SharePoint 2010 external list (ECT) produces the following message:
    "The Microsoft Common Language Runtime 3.5 is not installed on this computer."
    The client is Office 2013 Pro Plus 32-bit on Windows 8.1 64-bit with a standard installation including BCS. .Net 3.5 has been installed from Turn Windows features on or off.
    On Windows 7 and Outlook 2013, clicking Connect to Outlook results in the usual running of the .vsto, but nothing happens in Outlook (SharePoint External Lists does not appear). Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 works correctly. Connecting to a standard SharePoint
    contact list from Outlook 2013/Windows 8.1 works as well. Offline Synchronization for External Lists is enabled for the farm and the site.

    Hi Canadian,
    To synchronize external data with Office products, you must have Windows 7 or later and the following free software products: SQL Server Compact 4.0, .NET Framework 4, and WCF Data Services 5.0 for OData V3 on each client computer (If necessary, you are
    automatically prompted to download the software).
    Please also make sure that you select Contact, Task, Appointment or Post as the Office Item Type for the external content type and Offline Sync for external list is set to Yes when you creating the external content type.

  • Access 2010, Sharepoint 2010 issue with adding field to access db table

    I needed to add an additional field to one of my access tables contained in the sharepoint list.
    My application is a front end Access DB (run locally), and the backend is the 'data' database contained in the sharepoint lists.
    I added the field to the database (called BOM).  When I open the access list (from sharepoint) , and also look at the database in access, the field is there and things are fine.
    However, it does not show up in my linked front end.  I deleted the linked sharepoint tables from my front end, and then re-imported.  Now I see the BOM field I created, but it has replaced the 'ID' field, which was the primary key.  I had
    added the 'BOM' field as the last field in the table.  Now it is the first field, having replaced the 'ID' field.
    What's going on here?
    Thanks in advance!

    However when I try to run February CU or December CU I get the error:
    The expected version of the product was not found on the system
    it's possible that I messed up because
    I think I installed a SharePoint Server Service Pack 2 in a SharePoint Foundation Farm.
    these are the files I ran:
    1 - SP2 pt-br
    oserversp2010-kb2687453-fullfile-x64-pt-br
    2 - SP2 for Language Pack pt-br:
    oslpksp2010-kb2687462-fullfile-x64-pt-br
    3 - ran configuration wizard (had na error message the first time and success in the second try)
    4 - December CU or February CU:
    Download SharePoint Foundation 2010 February 2014 CU
    The expected version of the product was not found on the system
    In the first step I think I should have installed
    wsssp2010-kb2687464-fullfile-x64-pt-br
    Now I try to runthis and I get:
    The update is already installed on the system.
    Hopefully this is a QA Environment but it would be a pain to start over.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks

  • Sharepoint 2010 Approval Workflow "Open this task" link not functioning

    When I am clicking on "Open this task" link in outlook 2010 i am getting error as "Access to the floowing form required". Please help me out to resolve the issue..
    Thanks,
    Basavaiah

    Unfortunately the regedit ActiveX Compatibility GUID wasn't present so I couldn't delete it.  I kept searching and tried this:
     Follow these steps:
    a. Open Internet Explorer.
    b. Click “Tools” and “Internet Options.”
    c. Click the “Advanced” tab.
    d. Scroll down to “Security.”
    e. Un-check “Do not save encrypted pages to disk.”
    f. Click “Apply” and “OK.”
    Restart Internet Explorer and verify if the issue persists.
    Pasted from

    Not sure why but if I uncheck the box it works and rechecking breaks it.  Perhaps IE downloads the files on behalf of Outlook and Word, but Outlook can't get to them if the files aren't saved in cache by IE.  Our SharePoint site is secured
    by an SSL/TLS certificate.

  • Get the Sharepoint 2010 Maximum List ID

    Hi Everyone,
    I am facing one issue, in sharepoint 2010 list.
    I have 10 SP List I want the maximum number (ID) of every List
    For Example:- If any user make an entry in List A and it's ID is 10
    If another User make an entry in List B then it's ID Should be 11.
    Regards Sourabh Soni

    Hi,
    Besides the workflow way provided by Romeo, an alternative I can provide is that, you can also use
    Event Receiver with SharePoint Object Model which can help to implement more complex requirements.
    With Event Receiver, we can catch the moment when an item is added to a list which can help to run our custom code in the right timing.
    Here is a step by step sample on creating a simple Item added event receiver for Custom List in SharePoint 2010:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff398052.aspx
    More information on Event Receiver for your reference:

    SharePoint Object Model will be helpful when we need to access SharePoint objects:

  • Shared Reviews on SharePoint 2010 Won't Open on 11.0.09

    Does anyone else run shared reviews on SharePoint 2010?  Since the 11.0.09 update shared reviews will not open in IE 10 or 11 causing a fault in it's Data Execution Prevention.  Our marketing team is up in arms at this point as our help desk has to consistently go and remove Acrobat and reinstall it back to some prior version.  Inevitable though, someone will take the update again and bring things to a crashing halt.
    Our network team is unwilling to disable DEP so I've found some articles on how to have them disable Acrobat updates through group policy.  Adobe just seems to be ignoring this so I'm not sure I have any alternative but thought I'd ask first, if anyone else is having this issue and been able to find another way around it?
    Otherwise disabling updates seems to be our only option but that means locking them down to the original purchased version.  Not ideal but it's essentially where we are today anyway.
    Thanks.

    Please help me on it. Its making frustrations.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you got “Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer” error.
    Did you enable the both authentication (Windows and FBA) on default zone.
    As far as I remember when FBA is enabled on the same zone when Windows is used, it breaks whole client integration.
    So it will be better if you will recheck your architecture and will use different zones for Windows and FBA.
    There is also another thing to try: use claims based authentication with authentication provider which will work both with Windows and FBA.
    What’s more, you can also check with below steps.
    Use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
    Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
    Add the site into Trusted sites to check whether it works..
    Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
    In addition, you can also try to enable Basic authentication on the client computer, by setting the BasicAuthLevel registry entry of the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters

  • Dyanmics CRM integrated with sharepoint 2010 foundation - new created account folder can not trigger sharepoint workflow.

    I integrated MS CRM 2013 with SharePoint foundation 2010 for document management. integration works.
    Now I need to create several subfolders and set proper permission on each folder. So, I created a workflow to do it automatically. It works when I manually create a new folder under SharePoint account, or I manually run it for an account folder. Thus, sharepoint
    workflow works as I expected.
    However, when I access Account's document from CRM (first time), sharepoint would create an folder for this account. In this case, the workflow doesn't work. and it show error: "Failed on Start(retrying)".
    Anyone has experience on similar issues or have clue how to trace this error?

    Hi Justin,
    From your description, the issue might be related to the workflow created by visual studio.
    Could you please try to locate error message in workflow report or ULS log:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/library/cc298927%28v=office.14%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
    also debug the workflow per:

  • Shared review using Sharepoint 2010 Foundation

    Brief description *
    Sharepoint for Shared review
    Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible *
    Shared review using server acrobat.com works fine. However, when using Sharepoint as server the testing fails and it is not possible to finnish the set up of the shared review.
    This is pictured in(bild1.jpg.) As the return code is Status: undefined it is not possible to proceed.
    However, when looking into the sharepoint site a file called com.adobe.acrobat.sharepoint has been created as shown in attachment2 (bild2.jpg)
    When this file is opened it contains the following text written by acrobat; Testing Writeablility
    It seems like the test has been done sucessfully but that Acrobat is not able to read/understand that.
    My Acrobat 9 is swedish version but the 'Testing Writeablility' is in english regardless of if I create a Sharepoint site in swedish or english.
    Please help me out.
    regards Anders K

    The login names of the sharepoint server is not controlled by my organisation. Sharepoint is hosted.
    At the time initiating the review when Sharepoint is presenting possible locations (shared documents libraries) for the review then I need to login
    using credentials very much diffrent from the windows credentials.
    They are of course also diffrent from the identity that Acrobat itself is carrying from the acrobat.com?
    This situation is the same for for the reviewers that has no problem.
    regards
    PS do you have a suspicion that windows credentials or Acrobat credentials are thrown automatically at Sharepoint although I have logged in
    at the time of finding possible review location.

  • Add new rating scale text filed in SharePoint 2010 Survey List???

    Would it be possible to add extra text range field in SharePoint survey Rating Scale filed? so far i know it could be achieved by using Client Java script.  i have added following script in NewForm.aspx, EditForm.aspx, DispForm.aspx and Summary.aspx
    but nothing its reflecting into the UI page. Another problem is if i have multiple Questions with rating scale field, how i am gonna achieve extra text range for each question in one page/separator page like the following way?
    VeryDissatisfied          Dissatisfied     not satisfied    Satisfied    Very Satisfied   Do not participate
            1                           2                      3
    4                   5                     6
    These JavaScript codes are all added in the content tag which contentplaceholderid="PlaceHolderMain". should i add this script to another location?
    For NewForm.aspx; DispForm.aspx; EditForm.aspx
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var tables = document.getElementsByTagName('table');
    for (var i=0; i<tables.length; i++)
    if (tables[i].summary == 'Rating Scale Question')
    var trs = tables[i].getElementsByTagName('tr');
    var tds = trs[0].getElementsByTagName('td');
    tds[2].colSpan = 1;
    tds[2].innerHTML = 'your range text';
    tds[3].colSpan = 1;
    tds[3].innerHTML = your range text';
    tds[4].colSpan = 1;
    tds[4].innerHTML = your range text';
    tds[5].colSpan = 1;
    tds[5].innerHTML = your range text';
    </script>
    For Summary.aspx
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var tables = document.getElementsByTagName('table');
    for (var i=0; i<tables.length; i++)
    if (tables[i].className == 'ms-surveyVBarT')
    tables[i].deleteRow(0);
    var row = tables[i].insertRow(0);
    var cell0 = row.insertCell(0);
    var cell1 = row.insertCell(1);
    var cell2 = row.insertCell(2);
    var cell3 = row.insertCell(3);
    cell0.innerHTML = your range text';
    cell1.innerHTML = your range text';
    cell2.innerHTML = your range text';
    cell3.innerHTML = your range text';
    </script>
    Thanks in advanced!

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to Add new rating scale title fields in SharePoint Survey.
    I have done a test, it works fine. I have just added the function to load the code, refer to the following:
    For NewForm.aspx; DispForm.aspx; EditForm.aspx
    <script type="text/javascript">
    _spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push("ChangeTitle");
    function ChangeTitle() {
    var tables = document.getElementsByTagName('table');
    for (var i = 0; i < tables.length; i++) {
    if (tables[i].summary == 'Rating Scale Question') {
    var trs = tables[i].getElementsByTagName('tr');
    var tds = trs[0].getElementsByTagName('td');
    tds[2].colSpan = 1;
    tds[2].innerHTML = 'your range text';
    tds[3].colSpan = 1;
    tds[3].innerHTML = 'your range text';
    tds[4].colSpan = 1;
    tds[4].innerHTML = 'your range text';
    tds[5].colSpan = 1;
    tds[5].innerHTML = 'your range text';
    </script>
    For Summary.aspx
    <script type="text/javascript">
    _spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push("ChangeTitle");
    function ChangeTitle() {
    var tables = document.getElementsByTagName('table');
    for (var i=0; i<tables.length; i++)
    if (tables[i].summary == 'Rating Scale Question')
    var trs = tables[i].getElementsByTagName('tr');
    var tds = trs[0].getElementsByTagName('td');
    tds[2].colSpan = 1;
    tds[2].innerHTML = 'your range text';
    tds[3].colSpan = 1;
    tds[3].innerHTML = your range text';
    tds[4].colSpan = 1;
    tds[4].innerHTML = your range text';
    tds[5].colSpan = 1;
    tds[5].innerHTML = your range text';
    < /script>
    For Summary.aspx
    < script type="text/javascript">
    var tables = document.getElementsByTagName('table');
    for (var i=0; i<tables.length; i++)
    if (tables[i].className == 'ms-surveyVBarT')
    tables[i].deleteRow(0);
    var row = tables[i].insertRow(0);
    var cell0 = row.insertCell(0);
    var cell1 = row.insertCell(1);
    var cell2 = row.insertCell(2);
    var cell3 = row.insertCell(3);
    cell0.innerHTML = your range text';
    cell1.innerHTML = your range text';
    cell2.innerHTML = your range text';
    cell3.innerHTML = your range text';
    </script>
