We are having trouble printing reports from report viewer integrated in SharePoint 2010. On IE 11 compatible mode clicking print button does nothing.

Hi,
Please test the issue on different browsers and client PCs.
Did you find any related error message in ULS log or event log?

  • REPORT VIEWER- PRINT BUTTON- NOT PRINTING ONLY IN SOME MACHINES

I built a project in VS2008(VB.Net) and it uses RDLC reports...When ive published my software i tried and it works fine and can print successfully on my machine but when i tried on the target machine i can export to pdf but i cant print the files directly
using the print button on the report viewer...What is the problem? Thanking you in advance.

    Hello,
Which browser did your used in the target machine? The issue may happens when you use none-IE browser.
The ClientPrint control of the Report Viewer control is based off of ActiveX and is not designed to work in none-IE browsers. This is a known issue in Report Viewer control.
To workaround this issue, you can try to use custom control or ActiveX control to get the print option enabled for the Report Viewer.

  • Trying to delete pages 21-24 on iPhoto book but "remove pages" option grayed out and pressing delete button not doing anything.  Help!

Trying to delete pages 21-24 on iPhoto book but "remove pages" option grayed out and pressing delete button not doing anything.  These extra pages resulted from using Autoflow and now we can't seem to get rid of them.  Help!

    Good morning Old Toad.
    I did as you suggested:
    1) Booted from install CD.
    2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
    3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
    4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
    5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
    panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
    A) They already take .5 Gb.
    B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
    C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
    D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.
Thanks for your help. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Crystal Report viewer print dialog not working.

I have an asp.net website that i developed in VS 2010 that is using Crystal Reports 10.2.  Everything works fine in the devleopment environment but when I upload it to the production server the print dialog wont print.
The print dialog opens up just fine but when i click print it says "Class not registered" at the top of the dialog.
How can I fix this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Please search before posting.
Visual Studio 2010 is not meant to work with Crystal Reports 10.2.
    Download CR4VS2010 here:

  • SSRS & Report Viewer control - Show the print button and fire print for multi page report in Mozilla & Chrome

I have reports in SSRS. I am using remote reports. Reports have multiple pages.
In IE, the print button displays, but in Firefox and Chrome, it does not display.
Below links shows how to display the print button for mozilla and chrome. These solutions only fire the print for the
current page in the report viewer-
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/951009/sql-reporting-services-print-button-not-shown-in-mozilla
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4208457/ssrs-print-button-in-chrome-and-firefox
I need to be able to issue a print command for all
pages in one go from the reportviewer.

    Hello,
The common workaround about print button on ReportViewer control for non-IE browsers is add ActiveX print control or create Print function. It has pros and cons.
I am not good at programming. But you can try to disable page breaks by setting InteractiveHeight to 0 so that the report will rendering in single page with Report Viewer control.

  • SSRS report viewer webpart issues in SharePoint 2013

Even though SSRS Add in has been installed on both the frontends which are in the same SharePoint 2013 farm, SSRS report viewer web part does not render any reports from one of the servers and on that server it just asks to configure the webpart by giving
an option to open the tool pane...
I am really not sure why it is not picking up the report RDL configuration, which is working fine from the other server.
Any help on this would be really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Wizard on this server.  If simply running it does not fix it, remove the server from the farm and then re-join it, using the wizard.

  • Page Not Found Error when clicking on Crystal Report Viewer print icon

    Hi,
I am working with ASP.NET 2.0 and crystla reportXI release2.
I am getting "Page Can not be Found " error when clicking on Crystal Report Viewer print icon.
Could you please tell me how to get rid of this error?
    Regards,
    Smitha

This sounds like a postback issue. Does your application handle postback by putting the report in session?
There is a [sample|http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2SP2/en/en/CrystalReports_dotNET_SDK/crsdk_samples_aspx/data/crsdk_net_tutorials_115_en.zip] to look at on our website. It was created with Crystal Reports XI R2 and Visual Studio .NET but the code will be the same.
A short pseudocode would be something like this:
    Dim rptDocument As ReportDocument
If Not Me.IsPostBack or Session("Report") = Nothing Then
    rptDocument = New ReportDocument
    rptDocument.Load(sGlobalPath & "\myreport.rpt";)

  • SSRS Report Viewer Web Part - Saving it as a Project Site Template

    Hi all,
I ended up creating a custom filter web part that was passing the PUID to SSRS report viewer web part in a project site.
Works perfectly fine until you save the site as a project site template. I attached the site template to an EPT and creating a new project. The project site created fine, but the connections between the custom filter web part and SSRS Report viewer web part
    is broken!
Paul gave me this web part to start with, but this doesn't work in SharePoint Integrate Mode:
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/projectserver/Report-Viewer-webpart-439e0062
And SharePoint Integrated Mode is what we are pushing our clients towards.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    SJ

Looks like I forgot to respond to this...apologies for the delay.
For the client that I asked this question, I ended up writing it programmatically and it works.
But I would prefer using products now...rather than Band-Aid approach - I guess my role is shifting.
Luckily I was introduced to a SharePoint and Project Server developer here in London and he has been developing products for SharePoint and Project Server since version 2007! I spoke about my dilemma and he already had a product for this for SP
integrated mode! I have now started to add this product to all my the PS2010, PS2013 implementations. Great thing is it doesn't cost much at all and he provides support for it as part of subscription. I guess I twisted his arm a little bit  - not physically!
So far I have used the product at two sites and applied CUs over it - no issues at all. This is a proper packaged product and can't recommend it high enough. Yes, you will have to let the client know about this third party tool, but we manage the relationship
on behalf of the client - just like when we buy Nintex, IPMO or Fluentpro products.
If anyone is struggling with SSRS web part in Project Sites and doesn't have the time to write codes as they have multiple PS implementations on the go then you can contact
    [email protected]
I must say his marketing isn't that great, but since he is a freelancer he only works and sells his products to people within his network, I think he maybe changing that soon! Hopefully :-)

  • SQL Report Viewer Web Part Not displaying Report

I have just completed updating an old report using report builder 3.0. I have added it to SharePoint Designer but have not replaced the old report file.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
All I did was export the old report from sharepoint designer to my desktop. Then opened it with Report Builder 3.0- made changes to the report and saved it with a different name (for safety in case i break things) and then upload it back to the same place where
the old report was located using SP Designer. I then went back to the site in sharepoint that is displaying the old report, and changed the URL path in the SQL report viewer to the new report.
Now the SQL Report Viewer web part isn't showing anything (blank)

  • Report Viewer controls are not installed

    Hi guys
I try to install the Management/Web console on my workstation and it will tell me the Report Viewer Tools is not install. The setup will then give me a link to where to download it which is here
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=6610 - I then download and install it and rerun the setup only to be stopped at the exact same screen asking to install the Report Viewer
    Tools. I'm running RC 2012
    Why would this happen?

You can upgrade from RC to RTM but it is unsupported unless you are on the SCOM TAP program - feel free to post here and we'll try and help. The instructions are basically the same as for a SCOM 2007 R2 to SCOM 2012 GA upgrade so disable notifications, connectors
and importantly, there is a SQL script to run against the OperationsManager database at the end.
Agents will go pending approval and you just need to approve them on completion of the upgrade.
If you ACS installed, then upgrading disables all forwarders (a feature!). You just need to reenable after the upgrade.
To remove the 180 day timebomb from RC, follow these instructions:

  • SSRS Report Viewer Control Parameter alignment

I am having problem aligning parameters in ssrs report viewer control ,is there any way i can control the display of the parameters in left side alignment or right side alignment. please see the below pic for more details.
I am using vs.net 2012 and sql server 2012 and calling this server report in a asp.net page using report viewer control and report viewer process mode is "Remote"
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/getfile/514664

    Hi siva9000,
In Reporting Services, we cannot customize the parameter pane like the ways you have mentioned above. We can refer to the following link, vote it is as important and hope Microsoft improve this feature in the next service pack or product release. Allow
SSRS Parameter Panel to be formatted:
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/545893/allow-ssrs-parameter-panel-to-be-formatted
In addition, as Olaf suggested, we can hide the parameter prompt area, then create a custom parameter prompt area in the web page to achieve the goal. Please refer to the following blog:
    http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/1751/custom-control-and-setup-of-ssrs-report-parameters-from-a-web-page/

  • Print button not working with Xerox pluggins installed

Thanks to the wonderful people here I found that if you have any Xerox plugins in /Library/Printers/PPD Plugins you can experience the print button not working.
Removing them fixes it which is nice but I need the plugins, anyone know a work arround?

I've seen this happen with some of our Xerox PPD's on PC's. The cause in this case, is their reference to virtual memory with older OS systems.
I instead used an older PPD or a PPD I had edited to support 200"x200" custom pages sizes, supporting full color.
All I needed was a clean postscript file.
The Adobe 7 PPD writes clean PS.
If you need some kind of VIPP instructions in your PPD for the Xerox, I'd look at getting a newer PPD form Xerox made for OSX.
