SharePoint 2013 XSLTListFormWebPart not rendering mobile friendly controls

I am in the process of building a SharePoint 2013 solution which is targeted both at desktop as well as mobile devices.
I have a separate data input form for mobile device which I have created by utilizing XSLTListFormWebPart. The challenge I am facing is that when the form is rendered on my mobile device, the controls rendered are same as the ones rendered in desktop rather
than mobile friendly web part. For e.g. for a DateTime value, the control rendered on the mobile device contains date picker option as well
However, in OOB SharePoint mobile page for new list item, the DateTime control is being rendered as a plain text box alongwith some text to indicate to user the format in which date is expected (e.g. mmddyyyy).
Could somebody help is providing a resolution?
Thanks in advance

  • Sharepoint 2013 Workflow not available on Site created from Sharepoint 2013 Foundation Solution Template

    If I create a template on SharePoint 2013 Foundation, then create a site on SharePoint Enterprise (or Office/365) fully configured to support SharePoint 2013 workflows. When I access the site through SharePoint Designer 2013, and attempt to create a workflow
    SharePoint 2013 Workflows are not available -- you get message that SharePoint 2013 Workflow platform is not available because it is not configured on the server. This appears to be a bug in SharePoint Designer as the 2013 Workflows are available on the team
    site on the same site collection. There is no reason that a site created from a SharePoint 2013 foundation template should have this restriction.   To make matters worse if you then save that site as a template on the SharePoint 2013 Enterprise (or
    Office/365) system and create a new site from the that template you get the same issue.
    Anyone know a workaround/fix to this issue.   Have imported the template into Visual Studio but I can not find any way in Visual Studio to enable SharePoint 2013 workflows.   A solution that involves Visual Studio import would work fine
    for me.
    Earllibby

    Apparently you did not read my question very carefully.   The workflow manager is configured properly on this server and for the basic Team site in this site collection the full SharePoint 2013 workflows are available in SharePoint Designer 2013.
    BUT they are not available on another site in the SAME SITE COLLECTION that was created from a solution template that was created on a SharePoint Foundation server.

  • Power View for Sharepoint 2013 'Feature not available'

    Hello All,
    We are trying to set up Power view in Sharepoint but every time I click the power button on a report we get the  "The
    feature: "Power View" is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services." error.
    Our setup consists of two servers.  One is the sharepoint 2013 Enterprise server and the other is our DW server that sits outside of the farm.
    The DW Server has Sql 2012 SP1 (Enterprise) and two instances of AS, one in multi-dimensional mode and one with power pivot for SP.
    We were able to get power pivot working with Sharepoint without issue but we can't seem to get Power View to work.  I've read through some threads but it still doesn't seem clear what I need to do.  Someone mentioned that we needed to install Sharepoint
    on the DW server but we would like to avoid that if we can due to the current load on the server.  Another suggestion was to install the RsSharepoint on the sharepoint server and that would enable power view.
    I know there is already an RS Service app, would that needed removed as well?

    Only SQL BI and SQL Enterprise have the appropriate edition of Reporting Services to enable PowerView:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993(v=sql.110).aspx#Reporting
    You would need to uninstall SSRS using SQL Standard and re-install with BI or Enterprise on the SharePoint server.

  • SP 2013 Images not rendering

    Hey all,
    I've got a REALLY weird SharePoint 2013 problem that I need some help with.  If my users go to Cogwheel -> Add a page and add a publishing page, they will type some text and add some images...however, when they save the page, the images all disappear.
    I take a look at the source code and, sure enough, the <img> tag is there, however the src property disappears when we save the page.  No matter what I do, I cannot get the page to accept the "src" property of the image.  The images
    appear initially right when they are added while in the "edit" screen, however, again once saved, they disappear.
    We are not running any customizations or anything and the problem does not appear in our test environment or on any subsites of our live environment...just on the main site of live.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
    From your description, when you click save and try to add pictures to a page the SRC property disappears.
    <p>
    <img src="http://****/*.jpg" alt=""/>
    </p>
    <p>
    <img src="/document_lib/*.jpg" alt="" />
    </p>
    First of all, let’s try to narrow down the issue and check whether it is client side problem. You may check the HTTP traffic when you click Save with network trace tools such as Fiddler.
    A normal Save would include:
    1. A POST HTTP request where you can see inserted IMG node under MainPlaceHolder.
    2. And the POST request get the responses of HTTP 302 Found which redirect you to the sitepage.
    Please help to check:
    Does the whole IMG with SRC property get posted to the server?
    What is the response of  POST request?

  • SSRS subscriptions in default zone of sharepoint 2013 are not showing in intranet zone and vice versa.

    one of the Sharepoint 2013 site collection has alternate access mappings created. Default site is .com and intranet is .local.
    So when we add SSRS subscription in .com - they are not showing in .local and vice- versa. How do we fix this so the subscriptions are same in both .com and .local.

    Hi spanda,
    Per my understanding that you have configured the alternate access mappings which Default site is .com and intranet is .local. But the subscription in one of the site will not list in another mapped site, right?
    Actually, if you are on a different Alternate Access Mapping other than the Subscription was created on, we will get no subscriptions, Because we are using the method "Microsoft.ReportServices.SharePoint.UI.ManageSubscriptionPages"
    to deal with the logic by creating the value for "m_reportUrl" using the current context of the URL the user is using and passing that to the "SubscriptionListControl".  You can find the code in this article if you have some
    knowledge of development:
    SQL Server Reporting Services ignores Alternate Access Mappings When Checking for Report Subscriptions
    I recommand you to submit an feedback at

    If the suggestion mentioned by customers for many times, the product team may consider to add the feature in the next SQL Server version. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve our products and increase the level of service

  • How to call remote API from root SharePoint 2013 domain (not an app)

    I'm trying to follow the article
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp179895%28v=office.15%29.aspx
    For a SharePoint 2013 hosted under O365, do I need to create an app to use the SP.* methods in sp.js? I need to call a remote API from the root domain (https://mycompany.sharepoint.com). But the app, as mentioned in the article
    above, deploys on a whole different URL (https://mycompany-a2d3f4t454.sharepoint.com).
    I need to be able to call the API from pages like https://mycompany.sharepoint.com/pages/default.aspx. Is this not possible?

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to call remote API from the root domain site.
    Yes, you can use SharePoint hosted app to achieve it. SharePoint hosted app has app web and host web, you can create an app to call the remote api in the host web from app web.

  • SharePoint 2013 Workflow Not Updating on Deployment

    Developing a 2013 Workflow on SharePoint 2013 using Visual Studio 2012, deploying workflow changes does not update the workflow that runs. This has already been posted on the SP 2013 dev forum, but I wanted to check here with the workflow folks. Anyone run
    into this issue before and/or have tips for solving?
    Thanks.
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointdevelopment/thread/cd543a00-f3ab-4a4a-8682-b81d8330b677
    http://blog.randomdust.com

    This issue is reported and I'll post about it once I have an update.  For now to workaround this issue, you can try these steps
    Change the default deployment option to “No Activation”
    Retract the solution using Visual Studio
    Deploy the solution. This time feature will not be activated by default as we have changed to “No Activation”
    Open the SharePoint designer and click on the “Workflow”  section. You will see your workflow already present there. Delete the workflow which you have created.
    Activate the feature manually.
    Now you should see your updated version.

    Just setup our new 2013 sharepoint intranet site , I tried adding a hyperlink to a document stored on our server using a UNC path file://servername/share/filename.doc but when i click on it it takes me to a blank Webpage in a new tab.

    Hi,
    If I create a new listview using the UI, it seems that all views have the BaseViewID set to 1.
    I thought it would automatically generate a new unique BaseViewID.
    Is it possible to create listviews with unique BaseViewID using the UI?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create list view with unique BaseViewID.
    I’m afraid we could not create a list view with unique BaseViewID using UI.
    If you want to create a unique BaseViewID view in list, as a workaround, we can use the Visual Studio to achieve it.

  • Sharepoint 2013 "Variations" not working

    I created a publishing site on Sharepoint online. I have left the "Variation Settings" as it is , i.e. default. I created source and target label  and created hierachy. Source Label is english and target is french. After they got created by
    the timer job, I created a document library in the source and added text file with some content in english. On the home page of source, I added some text ,clicked on variations and gave update all targets.
    1. But after the timer job ran, I went to the french site and the content had come in english,so I published it and clicked "Machine Translate", I got an email that the job was complete, but when I went to the site, the content was still in english.
    Wasn't it supposed to be converted to french?
    2. After the document got created in target label, I clicked on Machine Translate ->selected items, it's been 24 hrs and still the content is in english. Am i missing something in both the above scenarios?

    Hi,
    According to your description, the Variation Settings does not work after configuration.
    Did you see the content in the root site URL ?
    After you create variation hierarchy, the sub site for multi-language will be created.
    For English language, the sub site URL will be like “http://www.contoso.com/en-us”.
    For French language, the sub site URL will be like “http://www.contoso.com/fr-fr”.
    I suggest you check the URL you visited and make sure it is right.
