Sharepoint 3rd party photo management?

Are you aware of any third-party software that handles photos, like a library, that can be attached to Sharepoint?
It would need to facilitate archiving, downloads, etc.
Something that manages photos .  OOTB library not a option

MediaRich by Equilibrium (or one of several products) is one such product.
There are other products. Just GoogleBing the things you want it to do, like extract metadata, or batch process, whatever
SharePoint's 2Gig limit per file is a deal killer for many though if you are talking Photoshop and manipulation and graphic design

  • Integration with  with 3rd Party Document management System

    Hi
We are implementing Invoice Management in SAP, using the Opentext VIM ECC Addon.
The Customer has a 3rd Party Document Management System called DocHarbour which is NOT Archivelink enabled.
The process flow is that Invoices will be scanned and available in a share drive somewhere.
Using SAP and Invoice Management Work, we would like to attached these documents to the relevant SAP Documents, and then post them to the 3rd Party Doc Management System , but the Images must be retreival in SAP at any time .
Everything tells me the 3rd party Doc Management System needs to be ArchiveLink enabled for this work.
Is anyone able to shed any light on this issue , provide possible solutions , workarounds or infor ?
    Any help or information appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Minesh
My suggestion would be use SAP Content server provided by SAP as is easily available and easy to setup.
Doing Integration with third party involves much time and efforts.

  • Third party PHOTOS Manager app

hi to all fellow apple users, i need to have a Third party Photos Manager app (i hate iTunes syncs) , which also provides the SET AS HOME/LOCK SCREEN feature just like the core photos app.... i downloaded "MyPics" app but it doesnt have dis feature.

    King_Penguin wrote:
Only the photos in the built-in Photos app can be accessed vie the photo frame icon on the iPad's lockscreen or be used as wallpapers, third-party apps won't have access to it.
Photo Manager Pro is another alternative photo management app which can copy phtoos to/from Photos, but again it can't be used on the lockscreen
Thanks for this one, I was searching for something like that too and couldn't find anything.

  • How do I get 3rd party photo software to work when logged in as myself?

As someone who works with expensively in photography, Aperture is one of my main software programs for processing photos, Now, with Apple apparently no longer supporting Aperture in the near future, I need to find a replacement. I have spent years avoiding anything made by Adobe except Reader, but bit the bullet and purchased an out of the box (not monthly rental) version of Lightroom, When I opened it after downloading, it didn't work. I kept getting an error message about the modules not changing properly.  After searching for an extended period of time for how to contact Adobe tech support by phone, I was left to attempt to find a fix through their support community similar to this one. I received a couple of emails that attempted to help, but none of them worked, or allowed me to use the program at all, until it was suggested I log out and then log back in as another user to see if that works.  So I did that and redownloaded the software as the new user and it worked perfectly.
But when I logged back out and then back in as myself, I was back to the same issue as before and I still can't use it as myself. This is highly problematic, given the number of photos I have access to when logged in as myself. Besides, I want to be me, not a different person.
Is there anyone out there that can give me a "For Dummies" explanation of how to get the stupid software to work as myself instead as someone else? I already tried several times to uninstall and then redownload the program, but that didn't help. (God, I hate Adobe software!)
Thanks for any assistance you can give.

    Frank:
You make good points. Please allow me to make a couple myself:
    1. I am a serious photographer. And the first place I go with my RAW files is Aperture. I love Aperture. I also understand that it's not going away, so I will continue to use it. But if all the articles appearing in photography-related publications are correct, it eventually will be far behind newer versions of other photography software. It would be similar to something like if all my friends were using Mavericks OS, but I continued to use Panther OS. They would be far ahead of me in ability to do terrific stuff. Should the prognosticators prove correct about Aperture, then I will eventually need a replacement to stay current. In reading a plethora of articles, many of which were comparative from one photo app to another, I reluctantly decided to go with Lightroom. I dislike Adobe, hence, my reluctance. But it seemed the best of a series of poor replacements for Aperture. I didn't want to pay Adobe an annual fee equal to the cost of a single out of the box Lightroom product, so I did go out of the box in this instance. And my thought is that while I will continue to use Aperture for the near future, it might behoove me to practice on Lightroom so I am familiar with it if I eventually abandon Aperture.
    2. Your second point is that this is an Apple forum, not an Adobe forum. Point taken. I have always gotten terrific assistance when I come here for help. I went to the similar community in Adobe and the responses I got there were not as functionally helpful as what I usually get here. And since it seemed that it was eventually found to be a user issue, rather than a software issue, it would seem that a community of Apple users would be of more assistance than a community of 3rd party software users. So I came here. And what do you know? It seems that the information I received here was far superior/helpful to what I got over there. It turns out my faith in the Apple community was well-placed.
When I get back home from work this evening, I'm going to take the info I received from Leonie and yourself and attempt to resolve my user issue. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

  • Free 3rd party photo frames

The standard IWeb and Page and Keynote applications have only about 12 frames for applying to photos. Nearly 80 free 3rd party frames are available at Frames and strokes installer for :iWork ’08, iWork ’09, iWeb ’08 et iWeb ’09.
Be sure to keep the install package as upgrades to iWeb, Pages or Keynote will remove them and possibly updates will also.
    OT

    Don't I know it!
Its ironical really. I've just finished corresponding with a lady who has an incredible children's book site. I've been suggesting ways for her to reduce file sizes by not adding all these frames and masks etc the iWeb way but by doing it the Roddy way..
Now you are giving people a reason to add more of them!
Its interesting that IE sometimes can't load these images, with frames etc, first time around. The page needs to be refreshed in some cases.
Running them through WSM fixes this of course but I still like to take a screenshot of the image and its drop shadows etc and load it as a JPEG rather than a PDF from Preview.

  • 3rd party sleep management tool?

Is there a 3rd party app the will allow me to schedule the mac to sleep and wake multiple times? As I understand it, the energy saver will only allow me to schedule it once per day.
Alternatively can someone explain the energy saver option regarding "wake for Ethernet network Administrator access"? We're not using a modem so it would have to be that one.

    Hi Nikee,
If I understand your requirement correctly, you need an application, which has its own workflow, can help you manage the objects in the Transport request, which is integrated with CHARM. There is one such application (Transport Connect) which is implemented in many places. The highlights of the application are: 1. Workflow 2. Conflict Analysis 3. Impact Analysis, etc.
This is a good apllication for Transport Management, Change mangement, project scoping, etc.

  • I switched something while perusing an ebay listing (right clicked?) and now it no longer displays the seller's images from their 3rd-party photo host (still works in IE). How do i reverse this?

Sellers can use eBay's image system to display their items, or use a 3rd-party that allows more and large images to be displayed directly within the description of the item. With this problem, the resulting listings are also completely messed up because of the change in layout (no pics).
i have checked many other listings and they show on IE but not FF. It occurred in mid-swing so i know i accidentally switched something, but am not sure how to get it back.

  • Image preview not working with 3rd party photo apps in iPhoto/Image Capture

I haven't had a problem until recently with the iPhone 4. Pictures taken with third party photo apps such as Shake It Photo or Hipstamatic no longer generate a thumbnail preview in either iPhoto or Image Capture. It's just a generic jpg icon. All pictures taken with Apple's camera app appear just fine. I also had a problem where I couldn't import any of the photos, but I restarted the phone a couple times and that seemed to fix the importing issue, but not the thumbnail preview issue. This is particularly weird because i've been importing pictures since the first day this phone came out, and it's only been doing this since yesterday.
I know a lot of people are having problems getting their iPhoto to recognize the phone at all or that there are photos on the phone, but is anyone else having the same problem as me? Any solutions? I have iPhoto 8.1.2.
    Thanks!

I have this issue but didn't recognize it until I read your post. I thought it was 2 bad photos.
I'll subscribe to this tread to see if anyone comes up with a fix.

  • 3rd party photo upload

My client want fans to upload photos to a gallery - is this possible with Muse?
And they would like these photos to be viewed by location or newest post first: the user decides which via a drop down.
    Any thoughts gratefully received.

    Hi
You can create your own custom form or upload button where users will upload the images to server and then you will have to manually show up the images on page. This would be complete customization on your end if you are using third party hosting as with native Muse feature we cannot achieve this directly.
But if you are using Business Catalyst , then you can use form to upload images and then use them to post on pages , additionally you can create web apps where users will upload images and then you can show the submitted items on page according to latest order or location any field value you wish for.
Please note that the site plan which you get while publishing the site from Muse does not include web apps , so you would need to upgrade the site plan separately to create the modules in site backend.
    Thanks,

  • Import Photos from IPhoto into 3rd party Photo Book Maker?

Using BookSmart from Blurb, to make a photo book, this a GREAT piece of software BTW, I need to import photos from IPhoto and can't seem to see how do it? Not sure I even can. Any help??

Assuming the program has an Import option that brings up an Open/Save/Attach file browser window, look in the left hand sidebar for Photos, under the Media heading at the bottom. It will show you your iPhoto library. Probably easiest if you first create an album in iPhoto for the photos you think you are likely to use.
Alternatively, browse the Blurb site for an FAQ and find:
    http://blurb.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/blurb.cfg/php/enduser/stdadp.php?p_faqid=74&p_sid=44cbAnHj&purl=
How do I use iPhoto pictures with BookSmart?
To view JPGs and PNGs that are stored in iPhoto, click the My iPhoto Images bar in the left content column of BookSmart. Choose which album you’d like to view via the dropdown menu, and then drag and drop the images into your book. BookSmart will only make copies of images you actually drag (or autoflow) to pages of your book.

  • 3rd party photo TV Connection/cable?

Is it possible for an accessory company like Belkin, Griffin etc. to make a connection /cable to hook up a nano to a TV set like the regular ipod photo and if so, do you think they will?

    Rob,
I am not trying to be sarcastic, but why don't you try emailing those companies? In my dealings with them in the past, they have been very helpful, and very open to suggestions/questions from potential customers.
If you do hear something, would you mind posting it on this board?
    Hope that helps,

  • Contracts Management 3rd Party Software

    Good afternoon,
I have been asked to implement a Contracts Management solution using SharePoint 2010. I am by no means a professional and I feel this is beyond my abilities. I created a custom list with expiry date. Also it lists the contracts ending in 60days and ending
in 120days. There will be roughly 500 contracts uploaded to the custom list/library. I have since been asked to have the contracts sorted within groups (not folders) I am not sure how to do that. A SharePoint Designer workflow is needed to alert someone when
the contract is up for renewal. I have read all the threads and Google info regarding that step and I can not get it to work.
Is there a 3rd party Contracts Management software out there that can be used via SharePoint? I have a feeling my simple solution will not be good enough as I am sure they will need files archiving and more functionality down the road.
    Thank you.

To group the items in the list is really easy once you know how. Let's say you have a choice field called 'market area' which might be Public, Education, Finance etc.
You can then create a 'view' in the list that groups the items by that column.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/sharepoint-server-help/create-modify-or-delete-a-view-HA010377693.aspx
There's a dozen ways to do the notification emails bit. The simplest, and best, is to create a 'Policy' in the list for that document.
This is an example of someone doing what you wanted (and asking for a bit more which is trickier)
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/83019/email-group-when-documents-reaches-expiry-date
There's going to be a million 3rd party tools that can work with SharePoint to greater or lesser degrees. If you really want to determine what to go for you'll need to do a full requirement capture exercise to identify exactly what the system needs to do.
One of SharePoint's strengths that is often underrated is that it's highly flexible compared to most software at that scale.

  • Is it possible for a 3rd party program to create a list item in sharepoint online 2013?

I have limited experience with the online version of sp. I've been asked if it's possible for a 3rd party app that our company is beginning to use, to programmatically add items to a list.    I don't have any details about the program yet,
but I've been told that a batch would run at night and they would like it to create items in a SP list and pass along several fields of metadata.
Is this possible in the online version?   I know that Power Shell can do this, but is it possible for an app to get access to run a PS command?
    thanks,

    Yes.
There is something known as the Client Side (?) Object Model or CSOM. This allows you to create list items, lists and even sites with .Net code from a non server machine.
You could run 'classic' Server Object Model  C#/VB.NET or PowerShell to do the same job and it might be easier as there's alot more material out there on how to do it. On the other hand it's probably going to make your solution more complicated and
harder to maintain over the long run.
This article introduces you to the CSOM and how to use it and is applicable to O365 as well as on-premise:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp179912%28v=office.15%29.aspx
As an alternative you can look at the REST API which allows you to use web services to interact with SharePoint.

  • How do I transfer photo files from desktop to ipad without 3rd party software?

how do I transfer photo and music files from my laptop to ipad2 without purchasing a 3rd party software?

You can use iTunes which is free (http://www.apple.com/itunes) - and that is the only way to sync music from a computer to the iPad
Syncing photos via iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 . You need to sync all photos that you want on the iPad together in one go, as only the most recent remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad
