Hi,
The rows of the DateTime control will be changed according to the days of the current month and the previous month.
If this is not what you really mean, I suggest you provide more details about it.

How to make users to select the date from calendar control only, by my making the date text field read only (don't want to let users type the date) in date time control in external list in sharepoint 2010. I am looking for a solution which can
be done through sharepoint desginer / out of the box.
thanks.Congratulate you got the solution by yourself. I am new to a
WinForms calendar component, I feel so helpless on many problems even I'd read many tutorials. This question on the
calendar date selection did me a great favor. Cheers. -
Hello,
I have a list A with a calculated field named A.A. I have a list B that has a lookup field to list A, to field A.A, named B.A. I add the two lists in a wiki page and I try to connect them - I.E., select a row from A and the rows from B would be automatically
filtered.
The B\Connections\get filtered values from A and select Provider:A.A, Consumer B.A doesn't bring any results. If I do the exact opposite: A\Connections\get filtered values from B and select Provider:B.A, Consumer A.A works fine. But, this is not what
I want.
If the A.A isn't calculated field, everything works fine. So, it looks like there's an issue with calculated fields acting as consumers.
Is this a known issue and are there any know workarounds? A workaround is to abandon calculated field and use sharepoint designer workflow.
Thank you
ChristosHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had issues about connecting web parts.
I try to reproduce the issue, however, everything works well.
Create a custom list named List A, add a caculated column named A.A(Formula: =Title).
Create a custom list named List B, add a lookup column named B.A(List A: A.A).
Create a page and then insert the two list view web parts.
Edit page, select List B->Connections->Get Filtered Values From List A.
Then I can filter the List B.
I recommend to create another caculated column and get filter value form it to check whether it works.

Windtunnel G4 Intermittent Date/Time/Power Up Issue
I have a free Windtunnel G4 from a friend. laterly, she will not respond to the "Power On" button unless I unplug and replace the power plug to the AC. Once I do that and the machine boots, she asks for a Date/Time reset (Shows this Date in 12/1969). Then it works fine from here. Is it pehaps time for a new 1/2 battery? Sounds better than a Video Card or AC Adapter replacement.
You described all the symptoms of a dead PRAM battery.

Sharepoint Foundation 2010 - Searching for a commentBox web part
Hello!
Im sort of new to Sharepoint and i have been working with it in two weeks now. Im currently an full controll user on the site my company is using and im also using Sharepoint Designer. The site is running on Sharepoint Foundation 2010
I have been digging for sometime after a web part that enables users to leave a message on the home page. I want the same fuction as i get when i create a BlogSite (there you can create posts and comments).
My first thought was to find a Web Part which will allow me to do this, but i was sort of wrong. I found some examples like this: social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/newthread?category=sharepoint&forum=sharepointgeneralprevious
Im still trying to make that work but so far no luck.
So i was wondering if there is a better way to create a function that will allow users to create posts/comments etc?
Thanks for any help!

TARUNHello,
Yes, you can use XmlDocument, XmlNodeList, XmlElement, XmlNode etc to read infopath file via code. Just add "using System.Xml" as reference in your solution.
Refer below link with sample code:

SharePoint 2010 content database size issues alldocs streams
HI All,
We are planning to do migration from sharepoint 2010 to sharepoint 2013. our database team identified that "all docs streams" and "audit log table" using almost 300 gig
we dropped "audit log" table today almost 100 gig
but still "all doc streams" table size is almost 147 gig
how to handle this situation before migration?
do I need to migrate as it is or do I need to work on "all doc streams" table
hot to handle database size
which way you recommend ? what are the best practices
please see database table size
can any one please send me step by step implementation?
Thanks,
kumar
kkmFirst off, touching SharePoint database tables is completely unsupported.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841057
You shouldn't be making changes within the database at all and you're putting yourself out of support by doing so.
AllDocStreams is your data. You need to have users clean up data, or move Site Collections to new Content Databases if you feel you need to reduce the size of the table itself.

Data and Query filter Issues in WEBI?
Hi,
I m facing two major problems in WEBI.
1. When i execute a WEBI report it is showing that WEBi can bring only 30000 records and not more than that. is there any way i can allow more than 30000 records in a WEBI output?
2. I have some BEx query variables and i used then in my WEBI report. all the variables are optional variables. when i want to edit the report to bring some extra fields into table, variables are pop-up is coming up. i dont know why the variables pop-up is coming for editing ? is there any way to remove this?
Please help me this is very high priority issues and it is effecting my development.
ThanksHi,
1. Where do you see the limitation is 30000 records? I've ran Webi reports with millions of records...
2. Optional variables in BEx will come up and make it possible to make a selection if you so wishes when you refresh the report data. When you add new fields to the report data, your report is refreshing since you are changing the report context. This shouldn't be a big deal cause you just simply click Run.

Hi,
SharePoint 2013 RSS
Viewer web part failing to complete loading when the page loads.
This happens when having RSS Viewer and then adding a Custom webpart with an updatepanel and timer control.
I had used Ajax update panel and timer control to load the web part asynchronously after the main page is fully loaded.
The RSS-Viewer web part hangs in loading state while the custom webpart loads just fine.
The issue occurs when an like button click or Timer Tick event fires after the page
is loaded.
Haven't been able to track the issue.
Couple of workaround I tried to call a server side button click event from the custom web part after the page gets fully loaded using JQuery shown below did not work out either.
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#<%= netButton2.ClientID %>').click();
And
document.onreadystatechange = function () {
if (document.readyState == "complete") {
$('#<%= netButton2.ClientID %>').click();
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
FranklinHi Johan,
The assignment of this user on the given task might be corrupted. Try to remove the resource from the task, publish the project, assign the resource again and publish again the project. If it is not working, try to unpublish the task (column "publish")
and publih it again.
Hope this helps,

How can I fix the image size in a "Picture Library Slideshow Web Part"
When I upload images to be used in the Slideshow Web Part they become skewed because they are different sizes. Is there a way to fix this besides uploading images that are all the same size?
Thanks,
Kathleenhttp://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:bfUcFkD_bxgJ:spcodes.blogspot.com/2012/08/display-slide-show-images-within-fixed.html+&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=in
Display Slide Show Images within fixed size
The Picture Library Slide Show Web Part show the images stored in a picture library with slide show effect.
This slide show web part displays the images with it's original size. Due to this the web part changes its size according to the image size. If we want the slide show to run within the specific size on the page then we need to control the size of the images
to the fixed length during runtime.
To achieve this we need to add the CEWP above the picture Library Slide Show web part & insert the following script in that web part.
<style type="text/css">
.ms-WPBody TD {
PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT-WIDTH: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING- WIDTH: auto !important; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM-WIDTH: 0px; HEIGHT:
auto !important; VERTICAL-ALIGN: middle; BORDER-LEFT-WIDTH: 0px; PADDING- 0px
.ms-WPBody TD DIV {
PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT-WIDTH: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING- WIDTH: 100% !important; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM-WIDTH: 0px; HEIGHT:
auto !important; VERTICAL-ALIGN: middle; BORDER-LEFT-WIDTH: 0px; PADDING- 0px
.ms-WPBody TD IMG {
PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT-WIDTH: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING- WIDTH: 260px !important; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM-WIDTH: 0px; HEIGHT:
190px !important; VERTICAL-ALIGN: middle; BORDER-LEFT-WIDTH: 0px; PADDING- 0px; align: center
.s4-wpcell-plain {
PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; BORDER-RIGHT-WIDTH: 0px; MARGIN: 0px; PADDING- WIDTH: 100% !important; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; BORDER-BOTTOM-WIDTH: 0px; HEIGHT:
auto !important; VERTICAL-ALIGN: middle; BORDER-LEFT-WIDTH: 0px; PADDING- 0px
.ms-PartSpacingVertical {
MARGIN-"color:#783f04;font-family:'Courier New',Courier,monospace;" />}
.style1 {
COLOR: #808080
}</style>
We can fix the height & width of the image in the .ms-WPBody TD IMG css.

How to display original images in SlideShow web part
Step 1. Save below JavaScript code to file, for example in SlideshowObjectInitializer.txt and upload it to SiteAssets Library
<script type="text/javascript">
function SlideshowObjectInitializer() {
ShowPic = (function(ShowPicOrig) {
return function() {
var ssObj = arguments[0]; //SlideShow object
var curPicIdx=ssObj.index; //current picture index
ShowPicOrig.apply(this, arguments); //call original ShowPic
//apply some changes to display original picture in SlideShow control
ssObj.image.src = ssObj.linkArray[curPicIdx]; //display original image instead of web image
//change picture & container size to auto instead of fixed (by default web image size is used)
ssObj.image.setAttribute('height','100%');
ssObj.image.setAttribute('width','100%');
var cell = ssObj.cell;
cell.style.width = 'auto';
cell.style.height = 'auto';
cell.style.display = '';
var pcell = ssObj.cell.parentNode;
pcell.style.width = 'auto';
pcell.style.height = 'auto';
})(ShowPic);
ExecuteOrDelayUntilScriptLoaded(SlideshowObjectInitializer, 'imglib.js');
</script>
Step 2. Add CEWP on page where Slideshow web part is located and in the Content Editor tool pane, under Content Link, type
/SiteAssets/SlideshowObjectInitializer.txt.

Web-part issue after migrating from 2010 to 2013
Hello all
Correct me if I am posting this question in the wrong section.
The background is: Migrating and Upgrading SP2010 to SP2013. I did it, and alot of it works, as it should, though I have one issue.
I did deploy all the solutions to both the 14 and 15 hive, and activated all the propper features. Now, I have one web-part which breaks down. It is a Web-part that communicate with a SAP endpoint, to retrive some data and show dem. The Web-part work fine in
the 2010 environment.
As soon as I enter the site where the Web-part is placed in, I am being redirected to the "Maintanence Web-part, error message". If I delete the Web-part I can access the site with no errors. The code works fine in 2010.
The error I am getting is "value cannot be null".

And just to be sure, when we are talking about the config file, it is the one who is associated with the Web-applikation? So, IIS --> WebApp --> Explorer --> and that web.config? -
Dear All,
I am frequently getting following error message on aspx pages on my SharePoint 2007 environment
Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer.
If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator.
Upon refreshing and restarting the browser several times, this error message temporarily gone and everything becomes fine. But after some time same error message starts appearing again. Also I have noticed that this error message also appears

Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Muhammad Tariq khan -
Hello everyone.
I am currently running a fully patched (Service Pack 1) version of SharePoint Standard 2013 On Premises. I am having 2 problems that are reproducible on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on multiple computers when running Internet Explorer 11 (fully updated
through Windows Update). The issues are "fixed" when running compatibility view in the browser or using Chrome/Firefox.
The issues are as follows:
Issue 1 Calendar view does not display correctly
Issue 2 Web parts do not display correctly when editing a page.
Picture of calendar
Webpart "edit menu dropdown" in upper right corner is replaced with 2 up arrows. Clicking minimizes web part.
Is there any word on a fix for this? Is this something only I am experiencing? Is there an issue with my SharePoint server? I would hate to have to uninstall IE11 from 300 machines and install IE10.
ThanksThere are a few critical issues
Pages will not enter edit mode. You will click Settings > Edit Page and the page will simply refresh but will not change over into edit mode. Seems to only affect pages with
Web Part Zones.
Calendar will not enter edit mode.
Web Part Properties cannot be modified. If you are able to get into edit mode (you can edit wiki pages) you will not be able to modify existing Web Parts by using the Web Part
Properties panel. Instead you will see a really weird collapse button that looks like it is coming from the mobile view but you cannot modify web part properties… even through the ribbon controls.
I cannot use the import spreadsheet app, the error says it is not supported with the current browser.
When I hoover over a “people” field I cannot see their information.
I had all these capabilities with IE9
This suggestion I found online appears to fix issues 1-3.
http://windowsitpro.com/windows-7/fixing-most-not-all-ie11-compatibility-problems
To run in compatibility mode
Press ALT + T when viewing your SharePoint page
Click Compatibility View Settings in the menu that appears
Click Add to add the current SharePoint site to your list of compatibility view pages
Click Close -
Hi,
I am calling a web service in the web part class file where it gets the data. I need to call the service at regular intervals of time which is in the web part, is there a way to get the web part refreshed automatically at certain intervals of time.
RayuduYou can use Ajax for automatic refreshing.
Add a timer control into an Ajax Update panel within your custom web part and execute your code to refresh the field values within the Timer_Tick() event.
You can also control the timer interval to 10 minutes or so using the Timer.Interval property.
This will always enable your page to remain with only the web parts getting refreshed.
I just found
a blog post which describes this in detail with screenshots. -
