SharePoint Search Service upgrade to 2013 fails: "Inner Exception: An item with the same key has already been added."
Here's the situation:
Upgrading a SharePoint Server 2010 Search Service Application dB to our SharePoint 2013 SP 1 development environment, using the Management Shell
Running the following commands:
$applicationPool= Get-SPServiceApplicationPool -Identity 'SearchService_AppPool'
$searchInst = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance -local
Restore-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication -Name 'SearchServiceApplication' -applicationpool $applicationPool -databasename 'SearchServiceApplicationDB' -databaseserver SERVERNAME -AdminSearchServiceInstance $searchInst
Creates the search dBs (crawl, links, analytics) successfully; however, in the end, I get....
"Exception: Action 15.0.107.0 of Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Upgrade.SearchAdminDatabaseSequence failed."
Looking at the ULS logs, I find the following:

You can enable the ULS log on verbose level (note, remember to reset to default level after finished troubleshooting) for more information per the following article, then check there should be more useful message for helping solve the issue.

Every time I open Address Book (Lion) it opens to the same vcard with the same name in the search field. How do I keep this from happening? You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].
There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. Then you can set your homepage to anything you like.

SharePoint Search Service Application Restore Is Failing
Issue:
When performing a Search Service restore with the CA UI, the restore is failing. The backup was generated from a Full level backup that is run nightly from the cmdlet Backup-SPFarm. The Farm is running SharePoint 2013 SP1, Windows Server 2012 And SQL
Server 11.0.3128. Both Production and the test environment have the same topology.
The sprestore.log file shows the following error message:

The issue has to do with the SQL statement just prior to the exception:

I highlighted the row in red causing the issue. For some reason SharePoint during the Search Restore process try’s to delete the user “------\sp2013uatfarmacct” from the database Search_Service_Application_DB_60bb9889222841aa94f59aed71349a6b
And re-add them again. But the reason for the failure is because the user “------\sp2013uatfarmacct” is the owner of the database role “SPSearchDBAdmin”, so it cant.
I checked all other Service databases that contain the role SPSearchDBAdmin and they all correctly have the owner as dbo
NOT ------\sp2013uatfarmacct.
Further checking the SQL trace log a SQL batch is executed at 12/18/2014 11:19:59.790 that states the following:

I highlighted the statement in red that is eventually causing the SP restore to fail. For some unknown reason to me when this statement is executed the new ROLE SPSearchDBAdmin owner is -----\sp2013uatfarmacct
instead of dbo.
As a test I executed via SQL Management Studio “CREATE ROLE [SPSearchDBAdmin]” and it correctly created the owner as dbo.
So the problem and my question is why when the SP Search Service is restored is the ROLE SPSearchDBAdmin owner being set to “-----\ sp2013uatfarmacct”, which in turn seems to be causing the restore failure?Hi!
I believe it is trying to delete a user who owns the schema of the database. You can try changing the schema owner to some other user like "dbo", and then drop the first user.

UCCX 8.0 Standard: fail to replace a script with the same name

in my UCCX 8.0 (standard) i often want to perform a change on the sctipt of an application.
But when i try to upload it where the old script is, i choose to replace the old one but then i get a fail message.
What is the best way to perform it?Make sure you are using IE to access the App Admin. Cisco sometimes has issues with Firefox and other browsers when trying to make changes.

Open a SharePoint List item in Modal Pop up in SP 2013 fails after you filter or sort the list
Sorry for the long post. This has been killing me. I had this script working perfectly fine in SharePoint 2010 (online) and basically i have a source custom list (list A) with a hyperlink column and a Destination List with say title and my name.
Source List (list A) looks like this with these 2 columns
Title Test Link
A Link 1
B Link 2
C Link 3
Each of these links link to the actual list item in the destination list, so for example, link 1 is/sites/2013DevSite/Lists/Destination%20List/EditForm.aspx?ID=1
So basically i want anytime the Link are clicked that point to another list's item to open in a modal dialog and the script below worked perfectly fine in SharePoint 2010 (online)

All it does is find the href tags for that particular value Editform.aspx and the pop modal works in SP 2010 online. So the site page is designed in such a way there is a content editor web part with the reference to this javascript file and the sharepoint
list is right beneath it and this worked perfectly opening in modal windows in SP 2010.
Since migration to 2013, this is what exactly happens
1.) when you come to the site page, the modal works,
2.) If you filter or sort on say the Title or Test Link column in Source list (lets say you select the Value A), the script does not fire at all, if i hover over the hyperlink, the who hyperlink is shown and does not open the hyperlink in the modal pop up.
- This is important because i want to be able to sort on a particular item...

I have one sharepoint list with huge data i.e with 20columns and more than 200 records with the fields .
Suppose lets consider there are A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H columns.
Now i want to create one form with the fields A,C,E.
When the user enter the existing data of list for columns A,C..based on C value the E column value should change and update that particular item in the list.
Please guide me without visual web part can we acheive this by Sharepoint designer 2013 or what would be the preferable solution.
Please help me on this as it is very urgent from me..

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to update the list item in the same sharepoint list with particular condition with Sharepoint Designer 2013.
I recommend to create workflow associated to the list and then start the workflow automatically when an item is changed.
In the workflow, you can add condition and actions as below:
If current item: C equal to Test1
Set E to Test2
Then the value of the filed E will be changed based on the value of the filed C.
In addition, if you create the form using InfoPath, you can add rule to the filed C as below:

Reporting services for port 80 and 443 works fine both for reports and reportingserver on SQL server 2008 R2. But when I try to upgrade from SQL server 2008 R2 to 2012 this error pops up. How to make sure before upgrading regarding reporting services that

netsh http show urlacl
Then, please delete the URL reservation by executing the following command try to resolve the issue.
netsh http delete urlacl <url>

Reporting (Project Publish) job is failing with 'The given key was not present in the dictionary'
I am using Project Server 2010 with SQL Server 2008 R2.
I have a PWA Instance which was running fine. I have a big number of projects and I do not keep site for all the projects as we do not need project site in our business.
Everything was running fine but during last few days, some of the jobs like Reporting (Project Publish) and Reporting (Project Delete) job is failing with the same error details for all the projects. I am not able to trace where the data is wrong/corrupt

I am facing this problem while start debugging the Provider-Hosted app through VS2013. I want to deploy the app with same version. So please let me know any solution
to remove the app instance from office365 online, so that I can deploy the same app with same version on the specified "Developer Site".
Note: If I change the version in AppManifesst.xml file then this problem/error gets resolved. But I want to deploy with the same version as
per my business requirement.
The actual error renders while I click to "Start" button of the Visual Studio 2013 to deploy the provider-hosted app, for the sake
to deploying it on say "ABC" site collection (i.e. developer site). I work on office365 online. Therefore, request you to please provide the solution for SharePoint online office 365. The occurrences is:
"Error occurred in deployment step 'Install app for SharePoint': The provided App differs from another App with the

after upgrade to 11, I lost hundreds of songs, searched files seems 11 has maybe deleted them, tried several different things including recovery software,still no luck, can I undo 11?
Focus on a single file that shows with an exclamation mark. Select it, press CTRL+I to Get Info, click No when prompted to locate the file, and look at the location given on the summary tab. Now use Windows search to locate the file by searching for files with the same filename. Post back both paths and I can suggest a resolution. In the unlikely event that the original has really vanished rolling back to an earlier version of iTunes won't fix anything.

I need the external Job in the 10.2.0.4-Environment because of the Online-Upgrade of a 10.2.0.4-Database to 11.2.0.2 with STREAMS. I want to start the old export from a PL/SQL-Procedure.
Now returning to my problem:
First: Change the run user to oracle:oinstall $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/externaljob.ora

My Ipod classic has started to play mono only through the headphones. I have tried different headphones with the same outcome. Is the device repairable or better to upgrade?

It sounds like your iPod classic is only playing sound in mono when using multiple headphones.
Since you've likely isolated this behavior to the iPod by trying multiple headphones, see this advice from the "The headphones don't work" section of the iPod troubleshooting basics and service FAQ:
If the issue appears to be with the iPod, try resetting it. If that doesn't work, then restore iPod with the latest iPod software using iTunes 7 or later.

Hi, a quick question. We have multiple AP systems which we are thinking of interfacing directly with eBusiness Suite. With a potential of approximately 20,000 invoices per night/batch (each invoice will have on average two distribution lines). All in
