SharePoint Site not accessing on Windows Phone

We have a SharePoint 2010 site. We are planning to give mobile access the same site.
We are able show this site for Andriod and iPhone users by doing some changes in compact.browser file at web application level.
But the same site when I am accessing from the Windows Phone I am getting an error saying
"we're having trouble in displaying this page".
Is there any specific configurations for Windows Phone?
Thanks,

  • Direct Access and WIndows Phone 8.1 for MySIte Resolution?

    Hi all –
I am reaching out to the community here because I haven’t been able to find anything concrete.
The scenario is that we wish to have links which are sent through an on-prem SharePoint farm resolve on a user’s Windows Phone whilst roaming.
The root of the issue is that the client does not have split DNS in place.
    Therefore when they send a link from the SharePoint site it’s URL is mysite.acme.int, for example, which is not resolvable from outside of the corporate network;
    Acme.com is however.
We have Direct Access (2012 R2) in place and use Windows Phone 8.1.
What I am trying to determine is whether or not we can leverage a DA connection with the Windows Phones in order to attain URL resolution.
Barring that does anyone have any bright ideas on how to conquer the problem?
Kind regards and thanks in advance!
    Wren

    Hi Wren,
For your issue, you can try to configure alternate access mappings with IP address for your MySite Web Application and then you can access your site with IP address.
As I am not familiar with Windows Phone, you can connect with the Windows Phone support or post threads in Widnwos Phone forums to ask for more information:

    Hi Team,
Why skype is not available for windows phone 7.8, earlier it was there in wp 7.8 market place... Please bring it back for WP 7.8

Yet more shoddy treatment of those who bought in to win phone 7. Makes me feel foolish for recommending windows phone to friends and colleagues. "We want everyone to experience the best Skype has to offer" and your way of doing this is to take it away!
My next phone is unlikely to be a win phone 8, and I'll look at alternatives to skype.

    Hi,
Although the mobile version of Internet Explorer is supported by SharePoint 2013, however, for Office 365 SharePoint Online 2013 which keeps updating all the times, there may
be some compatibility issues during the process.
As this issue is more relate to SharePoint Online, it would be more appropriate to open a thread in Office 365 forum, you will get more help and confirmed answers from there:

  • Mail for Access Request to O365 SharePoint site not received if a mail-enabled Distribution Lists' email address is provided.

I have the Access Request feature enabled in my O365 SharePoint site. This functionality is working fine for a single Site Owner's Email-ID and he is receiving the mail in his Outlook with an option to Approve/Deny the request. But when I specify the Email-ID
of a Distribution List (which consists of all the site owners), the mail is not sent to their respective members although the corresponding request is listed under the Pending Requests in the Access Requests list in Site Settings. Why is this happening and
if this not possible, kindly suggest a workaround.

can you specify the DL name instead of the email?

    Hi Wren,
Agree with Rmknight. Windows Phone doesn't support DirectAccess at present.

  • WCF Add Service Reference Not Supported for Windows Phone 8.1 XAML Applications

Windows Phone 8.1 XAML applications does not support the System.ServiceModel namespace, and therefore you are not able to right click references in the project and choose Add Service Reference.   The recommended solution is to add a REST endpoint
to your WCF endpoint, and access the WCF application through the REST endpoint using HttpClient.
    Bret Bentzinger (MSFT) @awehellyeah

My opinion on this subject is that someone in management needs to get rid of the "Yes Man" and hire someone with a backbone.
A project (such as this one) suffered big time because of your excuse of meeting a deadline. Did nobody do feasibility studies to determine the effects of removing the ServiceModel namespace and how it would break migration? It wasn't removed from the other
project types, so it wasn't a point that it wouldn't fit on the device, so it came down to testing and someone dropped the ball. This is poor management, and deadlines should be extended for critical points within a project. Think about the public relations
that has already been set backwards by this move. I believe that it meets the critical criteria only because you are talking about targeting the mobile devices which consume external data sources as a key component. Lacking the ServiceModel namespace was a
monumental error on the teams part.
This is a perfect case of "we can ship the car", but the wheels will have to wait...they can "Flintstone it" until we get the wheels ready.

  • Website payment and shopping cart buttons not working on Windows Phone browser

A customer shopping on our site notified me that the "add to cart" and "view cart" buttons were taking him to the PayPal main site and not the shopping cart. I tried a Windows Phone at the Verizon store and found the same issue. I have tested the site on multiple Windows desktop browsers, on Android, Linux and iPad and have never seen this issue.  What is going on with IE on Windows Phone?

I had this problem too, but I found a post burried on the web that said to add " p06- "  (without quotes) before the imap and smpt server names and that worked:
    p06-imap.mail.me.com
    p06-smtp.mail.me.com
Everything stays checked, SSL for both, authentication and use same username and password checked.

  • Lumia 920 does not sync with Windows Phone for Mac

I cannot sync any item between my Lumia 920 and with Mac.
Many users indicated that the problem encountered when syncing the Lumia 920 with Windows Phone for Mac is resolved by using the option "Allow access to folder" to the iTunes library. However, I have tried several times with many folders but cannot sync anything between my phone and my Mac.
I also modified the security options of my Mac by allowing the Windows Phone app to access my computer but with not success.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • SharePoint sites not opening locally..IIS problem

I am having this strange problem . All of a sudden all of the new sites created in the sharepoint are not opening locally. And even iis is failing to pick up the ip binding with a site. All my existing sites when browsed from IIS manager are giving certificate
error and ultimately showing connection problem error. Only thing that was done was the patching this week. I have no idea why all this is happening. Has any one faced similar problems before.
    Adit

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the SAME issue... I was installing ssl certs...then tried hitting one of my web apps (which was loading just prior) and it no longer would load.
While in the process of adding ssl certs to my SharePoint
farm, it appears I must have done something to break the communication between IIS and SharePoint. None of my web apps would load... all giving this error:
    This page can't be displayed
Make sure the web address is correct.
Look for the page with your search engine.
Refresh the page in a few minutes.
After messing around a bit, I decided to remove all
web apps via Central Admin... then I looked at iis... and low and behold, all of the web apps were still present. So... I deleted them manually from both of my sp servers for this farm.
I then created a web app and tried to access....same
    error... checked
iis and the newly created web app did
not get created, even though CA shows that it exists. I have a fully functioning farm with sites... but it's not much good if IIS doesn't render them! ;)
Any insight or suggestions for re-establishing the
sync between IIS and SharePoint? Just need SharePoint to push changes down to IIS...

The connection to login.microsoftonline.com was interrupted.
    Check your Internet connection.
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.
Allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server...
Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > Show
advanced settings... > Change proxy settings...> LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
    Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
and my internet explorer doesnt open the sites either, can anyone assist me with this problem please?

    Hi  hein56,
According to your description, the error  is encountered  when you try to login your SharePoint Online site.
To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps for  identifying the error code:
View the source code of the login.microsoftonline.com webpage that shows the error message.  For example, in Internet Explorer, press the ALT key to display the menu bar (if it isn't already displayed),
and then clickSource on the View menu.
Search the source code for the HR= string, and then note the numeric code that follows the HR= string.
Then you can find more information about how to troubleshoot the issue according to the error code.
